This US post office is actually pretty good regardless of my three star rating. There are two female clerks that are amazing they do a great job. Kudos ladies.! The post office itself is pretty decent. Has mailboxes always fully supplied with paper goods and envelopes and packaging. The two downfalls of this place that they only have two clerks at a time they should open three maybe even full windows sometimes . This is a very busy post office and a lot of people are doing passport work are they're at the counter for 20 minutes because they have 18 packages to mail. When there's only four or five people in front of you you still wait 15 minutes sometimes a half hour depending on what's going on at the two occupied windows. As I said, the two female clerks are fabulous, but they can only handle so much work. The second downfall is parking you either have to pay so you don't get a ticket if the parking police come around they have two spots out front that say 15 minute parking, but I haven't got one in probably six months. You either have to take a chance on a ticket or you have to go to a whole process of getting a half hour or an hour ticket just to drop off your mail or get a money order or mail something out I think the post office deserves to have at least 20 spots available for the public. read more

Whenever you're planning on going to drop something off plan on being there a while because there's always only two people working not to mention their customer service skills are horrendous. The women are extremely rude and condescending with the worst attitude. I have never experienced such behavior at a working establishment. And this has been going on for years. If you try to call over the phone to inquire about tracking a package or a question about a package, that's even worse . I had a woman tell me that "it'll get there when it gets there and get over it." She also mentioned that when a package arrives from, let's say Amazon they don't rush to get the packages out. They take their time and work at a pace they wanna work at. I understand not liking your job, but when it starts to affect the customers on a regular basis, something should be done about it. And for years, nothing has been done about it. I live in Everett in going to that location is a last resort for me. I usually try to go to a different location just so I don't feel like I'm a burden to the workers to do their job. read more

The service was terrible!! I made an appointment online for passport service and got a confirmation email and everything. However once we got there they said that our name wasn't on the list and that they can't take us. She wasn't rude but the only reason she said she couldn't help us was because she had to go eat lunch. It's just frustrating because we came all the way there for that reason only and we couldn't get that done. They were shocked once they say the confirmation email because this normally doesn't happen, it's just weird that it happened to us of all people. So in conclusion, be careful when making an online appointment here. read more

Staff is very rude! DO NOT GO! No remorse for customer service. I ask myself how do people return to this place. I am a UPS customer. I even have a membership. I CAME in with my own box. All I needed was a strip of tape. The woman charged me $2. I think its crazy that i had to pay for strip of tape. I truly did not care it came off my companies expense. Because i mentioned that it was insane to charge a customer for tape the woman started to debate with me regarding the subject. I was in a rush and she just would not stop debating. The weekend was spent making wedding invites. Day one was fun, designing, assembling, etc. with friends and my mom to help (and the boy on call for when we needed more supplies!). We semi-forced ourselves to keep on task on Sunday and get them all addresses and sealed which we learned is easier said than done. Mission was accomplished though and I packed my invites up to head to the post office on Monday. First stop was the PO near my work. I walk in and they look at it and say $1.34 each. What!?! I'm sorry, but it's a standard sized envelope and it's not heavy. Well, the twine we wrapped around them created a "bump" which made it too thick. Now she tells me this just by site and decides that's the cost. I'm pissed and walk out. I have no desire to spend that much, as it would be cheaper for me to drive around and hand deliver them (like something out of My Sweet Sixteen). Round two, head back to work and find a PO that's open late. I see Everett is open until 6:30 and on my way home. Pick up the boy, head to the PO, parking space right out front and no lines. The woman looks at the invite and pulls out this contraption to see if it fits through. It does with a little bit of a tug. She confirms with someone else there that it's good to go and he agrees. New cost, $0.59. We win! This was the best customer service that I've had at a post office, both employees were very pleasant and totally helpful. The invites are now officially out, and at less than half the cost of PO number one. Now I just hope with our crazy methods of getting the envelopes closed the guests can actually open them! read more

It is funny when I saw reviews for the post office in my town. I guess there is nothing you can't write about. The current location is much better than the previous one located at 2nd Street; better parking with the municipal lot and much bigger and brighter interior, the old one was in a basement. Customer service wise, I never had any problems with any one working there or any one whom delivers my mails. I always approach them with a smile on my face and I can always expect a friendly smile in return. If I have any issues with my mails, I would start explaining the issue before I blame anyone. I have done plenty of tech support work with my customers and there is a saying that I can't fix your problem if I can't see a problem! Getting the other person on the same page by explaining in detail tend to get things done pretty quickly and efficiently, every one is a happy camper! read more

As part of my job, I am a regular visitor at the post office. In my experience, this branch has always been as efficient as possible, given the circumstances. The staff is helpful and friendly. There is a large immigrant population in this area and even when someone doesn't speak English well, or at all, I have seen the staff try their best and ask for help from others to help translate. I really appreciate the effort they put in to help every person as much as they can. One downside, there are days where you may have to wait a while in line. I feel like this is mostly due to the passport applications. So my advice is to go after 4pm if you have a choice, so that you don't get caught in that whole mess. Otherwise, everything goes as quickly as they can get everyone through the line. Everything is pretty well stocked at this location. As someone who ships a lot I don't really need any supplies but I do know they have , for sale, packing tape, packing boxes, wrapping paper and whatever else you may need to send a package out. Overall, I like this location and I like the people who work here very much and will definitely continue to go here for convenience and more. read more

The lady on the phone was unhelpful and rude. They could not deliver a package, even though address on package was correct and enough postage was paid on it. Called this location multiple times and no one ever picks up. Once you let it ring long enough, someone will hang up the phone. Otherwise the line was always busy. Finally after what seemed like 20 attempts, a lady picked up. Told her the situation and she was very rude, inpatient (kept cutting me off before I can finish my sentence), and was a waste of my time. USPS tracking record clearly shows that this location currently has my package due to a delivery problem. Yet, she insisted that there's nothing she can do because package has already been returned to me (not according to your own record). She didn't even bother to at least look up the tracking number and see where the package was, which she'll then see that it's at their location. read more

extremely poor customer service. I've been going there every 2 days now for over a year. & all I see, is the ladies turn people away & tell them their wrong. They tell every customer their labels are wrong.. or wrong boxes.. or wrong envelope. Even if its right. They rudely ask every Brazilian customer if they understand. Then look at them like they're idiots. I went today, with the SAME package I send every 2 days... & the SAME lady that processes my packages, told me I was wrong, and the label was printed incorrectly, & needed to be re-printed..... I just went to a post office right down the street, & they said there was no issues with my package at all... and laughed when they heard about another issue at this Everett location! horrible!! your better off spending your time at the DMV! read more

I really like this post office. The lines are sometimes long but that happens at any post office. The cashiers there remember me every time I go even though I am sure they see hundreds of people a day. I live in Malden but I gladly go on the MBTA to Everett every time I need to mail anything. read more

Very weak costumer service ! Don't know how the workers there still have jobs . We were 15-20 people waiting and from 3 registers they end up closing 2 instead of opening additional . When I asked them will they open a window they told me " later "... is state job means " once you are hired you don't have to work and you will never get fired for now doing what you are paired for ?!". read more

Busy site people very attentive to customer needs

I went to get my passport renewed the other day and Mary was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Their camera was acting up and she told me I didn't have to wait for everything to process and she would let me know if there were any issues. I came home yesterday to a copy of my picture and a little note saying "worth the wait; you look great!" Such a nice touch and something that was completely unnecessary! I really appreciate the extra step taken and now I don't have to wait to see my picture! :) read more
