Probably the worst post office. Don't bother dropping off packages here. They take FOREVER to send them to the shipping center. I drop off ten to fifteen packages a week and they ALWAYS leave at least two days later. You're better off going to Clovis or giving it to your mailman. The drop off is a joke here. read more

Worst ever. The package pickup line is there to punish people who had mail sent back due to full mail box. I've been there 6 times, waited 25, 45, 20 minutes without any service. Seriously, they never responded to ringer once. I SAY START TAKING YOUR LAWN CHAIR, BRING LUNCH, ETC. while you sit in line. Mayby theyll be forced to assist customers. The ONLY reason my box is full is because they keep putting my neighbors adds and mail in my box. I've taken my name off all advertising like blue plum ect....and postman just gives me my neighbors because hes to lazy to look at the unit number. Seriously consider taking a chair and set up camp for a good couple of hours if u need to visit package pickup. Normal counter refuses to get your package for you. This Post Office is the WORST. After submitting change of address, and moving OUT OF STATE, we were notified AFTER we moved that they would not forward ANY of our mail ! Tried calling for 6 weeks, 4x daily, and the only time the phone was picked up, they hung up immediately. Have given up. Important medical information, tax information and other correspondence just getting lost, or worse, in the wrong hands. Since there is no phone number for the forwarding center in Sacramento, sent letters to the Sacramento forwarding office AND this location, with the managers and attendants name, pleading for someone to call... My first experience here was great, a young man helped me and he was courteous, polite, and helpful. Unfortunately, today I was assisted by an older woman named, GLORY. She was rude, loud, abrasive, and confrontational. The WORST experience I've ever had at a post office. This woman does not care about her job. Hire someone who will appreciate their job! GLORY needs to be retrained because she offered misinformation. She told me to send my package in a box that did not go with my label. I asked her, 'why would you advise me to send my item in a box that would get sent back?' She raised her voice at me and I was in shock. I felt like she was pushing me out of the post office. Was here 7 months ago and wrote a review....well I'm baaaaack with another terrible review of this horrible place. Had to go down here twice in the last few days because suddenly Usps decides not to leave packages at your door without any warning now. I live in an upstairs apartment in a gated complex.....I've had 4 packages get sent to the post office and had 3 different pink slips. I went the first day, stood in line for 15 minutes on an injured leg, get 1 package and realize after I walk out this is not the package I thought the pink slip was for (they make you wait 2 days for pickup). So I decided to go back the next day in the morning and the line is ridiculous again...I specifically checked the pink slip this time for the package that I wanted and the guy working at the package line quickly checks then grabs my package....I leave and AGAIN it's not the package I specifically wanted and the pink slip said. I went back in and stayed in line for another 10 min...tell him I'm looking for a package from CHINA, I show him my informed delivery account that has the tracking number and all info he needs. He grabbed the wrong package again. This tells me these guys don't even check, they grab the first thing with your name on it. Ridiculous. And now I tried redelivery because I refuse to go back down there and deal with this again!! Redelivery didn't even work correctly either. I think USPS just needs to go away and UPS and FEDEX can be the GOATS. I'm sick of this. read more

Tried to pick up important package from my P.O. box was 1:59 guy yelled at me through the door that was already locked a min early to ring bell , I asked him for help he said no they close at 2. For the passport office Open 9:30-2:30? The lady that works ther is super helpful and they'll take your picture there. For the mailing section of the building- long lines, not enough staff, but it's a post office, that's the norm. read more

I've only been here to ship packages and/or purchase stamps, but every time I've gone to this location each person I've dealt with has been fast, efficient, and professional. The line has been out the door on a couple of occasions but the overall wait time was pretty quick. read more

This post office is so Frustrating!! It has happened WAY to often when we drop our business pkgs they don't get scanned when they are received so our clients aren't notified that their pkg is in the way. This takes us time letting the customer know it was sent, but there are times that I am sure they wonder. It doesn't make us look good or professional, when it should really fall squarely on this PO, not us. TODAY however is the opposite, I was told by C/S my missing pkg with live animals BTW, that was shipped on the 20th and hit San Jose on the 22nd was still not in Fresno but still in San Jose. I was told that it was the manager of this post office's job to locate the package and to check with them. So with 102° temp we go to Woodward Park and wait in line in the VERY HOT lobby for our turn to talk with someone. The guy at the split door, that is supposed to help, says that all he/they know is what the tracking tells them (this from the people that don't scan pkgs), so he tells me what the website says and doesn't even look in the live animal cool area. He does give me a phone number that I can call. So before even getting my seatbelts on I dial the number, but as usual all it does is gives is blah, blah, blah and hangs up on you!! Utterly pathetic! We leave still frustrated and 10 mins later, 5 mins after they close, I receive a text that the package is suddenly no longer in San Jose but right there in HIS AREA!! You know 'they' call that LONG number a tracking number for a reason, BUT if the Woodward office is too frickin LAZY to ever scan pkgs in or out, it is virtually USELESS... sort of like asking someone at this Post Office for any help. I will be strongly suggesting to anyone and everyone to use a different service. We have already been doing so. read more

Two days in a row we received no mail because a service truck working on a neighbor's house was blocking our mailbox. The delivery person could not even get out of his truck to drop our mail in our box. This has happened before, but never two consecutive days. He is not doing his job. read more

I have cameras around my house and seen the ups truck just pass by my house and they put delivered on the tracking when obviously they didn't deliver my package because they didn't even stop. Very bad customer service I didn't like how I had to come here to see if my package was here and they couldn't even really help theY didn't really check the tracking number and they sent me to different post office where they told me my paCkage wasn't theIr either :/ and to come their I i even payed for shipping here! So I could have it delivered here just cause my damn zip code they told me oh you have to pick it up on olive! Worst service today 2 cashiers 40 people in line 11/25/2013 a Monday morning and they aren't staffed up..( suggestion-temp workers) ..Cashier Mike did not so much as say sorry for the wait. He just doesn't want to be blamed..The Manager took 30min to come and speak to someone who requested to speak with her. She walked out and said "1min"walked back in the back ... there is no customer service here or respect for peoples time no wonder they are suffering. This has to be the slowest post office on this side of town. Maybe I choose the wrong times to come, usually after 4, but there is always a line. Trying to pick up a letter and there is one person working the window and there are 15 people waiting in line. I try to goto the line that there is 5 people helping and they tell me to go back to the door that is helping one person. This is why I use FedEx. You're better off using UPS or FedEx than coming to this post office location. The last 3 out of the 4 deliveries made by postal carriers from this post office was either not delivered which required me to come pick it up from here, delivered to the wrong address, or left outside of a general mailbox area for anyone to take if they wanted. The "manager" Ray doesn't even acknowledge my friend, give the employee and attitude, and runs off to hide in the back while the line is getting longer. DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE!!!! Station Manager is ALWAYS in 'meetings'. I have gone in a few times to complain, but was never able to talk with 'her' as the Staff call the Station Manager. Staff is slovenly and unkempt. One woman up front in 'black pajama-like pants' Black t-shirt, and Red sweat shirt. Mens' shirts were unkempt...just looked dirty. Not helpful to customers. Sly remarks made. Kept Customers waiting. Have headphones on....etc. Nice Neighborhood....but BADDDD Customer Service. These Federal Employees EMBODY what most Americans' picture Federal Employees to really look like. Witnessed a distressed woman and her friend trying to find a package which seemed to contain Vital Documents. These women never raised their voices or said anything out of line...but they were adamant about finding that package. The watching staff members made sly remarks, one just smirked at these women and rolled her eyes several times. I will NEVER go in that Post Office again!!! And yes, I filed a complaint about what I had witnessed but I do not really expect any answer .... I have always thought the Government was there to help Americans....but now I may need to pay closer attention to things I use to dismiss. Hey, this post office is amazing; the epitome of government at work. I love that I get to share all my deliveries with my neighbors and when the mail arrives, it's at 8:00 in the evening at times! When calling their office, I can expect myriad busy signals, but when I finally get through, I enjoy a 30-minute wait time. When walking in, there is always a single employee handling a long line of patrons while the rest are on vacation. I'd love to have a job like this where I don't have to work, and when I do, I don't need to do my job in a professional, competent manner! "We deliver for you!" read more

I'm the type that goes in with my stuff ready and I know exactly what I need done. Great that this place is open Saturdays. Hours on Saturday are 10am-2pm. There was only guy working when I went but he was very nice and helpful even though a line was starting to form behind me because the man in front of me had questions about international shipping. Where are the - stars catogory? I own a triplex literally 800 yards from this post office and mailed my tenants a letter. I get my mail returned with "no such address" on the envelope. I went in to get my postage refunded and tell them how incompetent they were. The clerk told me no refund "because a service was provided". I did call the postmaster downtown to complain and they did send me a stamp. Nonetheless this location is a joke. read more

This office is impossible to reach . You call thier number MULTIPLE times and you will NOT reach anyone. It gives you NO options. Just an automated message with a bunch of info and if you need to SPEAK to a PERSON....it just says to hang in the line as they transfer you to an operator. Then it rings a bunch of times and suddenly jumps to a busy signal. Every.Time. period. Their tracking service DOES not work. It is in fact broken but you can't tell anyone because they refuse to speak to you. I have tried to reach a living person at their local branch number. The 800 number and the number for a bogus Steve Franklin at the consumer affairs number. No option gets you thru to a PERSON. Is this how they get away with stealing your packages??? Refuse to talk to you until you give up and call it a loss? This is why you, especially if you are a business - use UPS or FedEx for your shipping needs. read more

If I could, I would give zero stars. I went to this post office to get a money order to give to my landlord for the new rental house we were moving into. My wife and I bank with USAA and there is not a physical bank in Fresno, so I was advised by my bank to head to the post office to request some money orders. This seemed pretty simple enough. When I got there, I requested a money order and that's when it went downhill from there. The employee greeted me with a smile, and I explained what I needed and suggested I go to a bank to get a cashier's check because the amount I was requesting she could not do. I told her that I couldn't do that because USAA does not have a physical bank here in Fresno. She then stated that I would have to fill out paperwork. I said, "okay, what would I need to fill this out?" To which she replied, "you will need your social security number, do you even have one?" I gave her a strange look, and said, "yes, I do." Was this passive aggressive racism? Then she said, you will also need your driver's license, do you have one or.... Oh you have an Oklahoma one, you will need a California one. Sorry. At this point, I just don't understand what she is trying to insinuate with her comments. I am a U.S. Citizen, born in Hawaii. I am of Hawaiian and Japanese ethnicity. I just moved from Oklahoma to Fresno. It is a valid DL. I kindly tell her that my DL should work just fine, and she walks away and gives me a form to fill out that states in bold at the top: "suspicious customer activity" and tell me to fill it out. This form states to request this information from the customer without the customer knowing. I should not have been racially profiled nor treated in this manner at all. When I returned with my form filled out, I ended up with a different employee who ripped up that form and gave me the actual form to fill out and took great care of me. I went in to get my passport this afternoon and the lady at the counter was rude as heck. I had all my paper work ready and copies of my ID. Didn't know I was suppose to make a back side copy and she made a huge deal about it saying "next time come prepared with all the paper work and correct copies" then when we were finished I wanted to ask a question just to verify the info. I was given and she brushes me off and says "I already told you once, have a good day" Definitely horrible customer service from her. read more

Prior to going here I had read the reviews and didn't think it could be that bad...I was wrong! I have never had such bad customer service ever! And at a post office of all places!! I think my worst restaurant experience was better than these people!! With a room filled with mail patrons you would think that half the staff would not go on break. It went from five tellers to two within minutes of the line growing. When it was finally my turn I was informed that I filled out the wrong slip. When he handed me the right form I let him know I would fill it out as quickly as I could while he weighed my mail. His response along with an eye roll was "I guess". I was taken aback at how rude the mail clerk was! I finished quickly paid for my services and as he handed me my receipt he let me know there was a survey at the bottom to fill out.
