We recently had a package mailed to our central mailbox in our neighborhood. We received a confirmation from the post office that it was delivered, but it was not in our box. While our new postal carrier was unwilling and or unable to provide a solution, I reached out to the post office on 59th Ave. and Brittany was able to address the issue. She came out within a half an hour of our phone call to find the package was put in our neighbor's Mailbox which we obviously did not have access to. She personally delivered the package to our front door to say hello with the package in hand. Her customer service and friendly smile was exceptional. This is truly the worst location. I have had two packages( one in December, and currently June) disappear from tracking after reaching the Glendale location. I went there today to speak to supervisor'Amy', who could not care less about her job. She could not give me answers as to what happened to this package and gave me a phone number to call which seems that no one answers. I believe there is a THIEF in the sorting area THA IS TAKING PACKAGES! Of course they would not admit to this. How does a package which has tracking just disappear?!?!?! read more

Today, I went to the post office because I had three packages that were marked as undelivered to my new address because it said "address unknown ". Kim was very friendly and helpful, and she explained that even though I changed my address on the website like you're supposed to do, you still have to physically go to your home post office to let them know that you moved. Once you do this, they update the mailbox with everybody who receives mail at that address. I have moved five times in the last seven years, living in Tucson, and I have never once had to do this. It is very frustrating, and at least two of my five packages have now been returned to sender. Why don't they say this on the website so you know you have to do it also? Is it specific to the ZIP Code? I have no idea but this was very very frustrating. Now I have to go through the annoying process of trying to get my packages re-ordered, which is very frustrating because I had already been waiting for them prior to this. read more

I called USPS support & they said my local store might have it & I could go ask. I went in & Kim (I 90% sure that was her name) was so awesome & helpful. She went digging for my package & found it. I've been coming to this post office for awhile now. Usually I send birthday gifts to friends in California or letters to family and friends overseas. And this past year has been smoother than previous ones so I believe their service is improving. They are more fully staffed than before, especially during weekdays. For instance, I was just here today and it took less than 10 minutes to get in and out where before it used to take over double that amount. If you don't like lines at all then there is also a machine that will help you determine your postage near the PO boxes, it's basically a self-serve kiosk. read more

I do NOT RECOMMEND using the postal services flat rate PACKAGES is supposed to HAVE A tracking FEATURE, but they don't track (scan) these flat rates boxes even tho they say they do. I shipped a box to my son to get there by his birthday. I can't track it because the post office did not scan the package to tracking it. There's no tracking feature! It wasn't even tracked when it left the post office at 59th and 101. Do ship from this location!!! So basically I don't know where the box is, I have to have "hope" it shows up! they offer me no guarantee so what is the point of their tracking system if they're not tracking your package, they want more money and they don't do their jobs. Came by to mail my Christmas cards and the line was crazy long. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who waited til the last minute. "PROCRASTINATORS UNITE!" (Ehh, maybe later.) I stood to the side, filling in the last-minute addresses on the envelopes... and watched as the line got longer and longer. I shuffled into the line and thought I'd be standing there until Easter, but I was wrong! The post office staff was beyond excellent! Just as fast as people were lining up, they were helping them and moving onto the next person in line! They are the real MVPs. So what I initially assumed would take forever, took minutes. Shoutout to the USPS crew! You guys make the holidays manageable! read more

This is my post office and I like it! No, it's likely not the best in class or best in town or best on this side of town. But its definitely the best one close to me. By all accounts, this is a pretty well run Post Office. The staff is more efficient than most and the place is clean. My one small complaint is that sometimes the bulk drop off bins are full and I'm not able to drop off my package(s) and that requires a workaround as most of these are from my small Amazon shop and are time-sensitive. The USPS overall has done a solid job of morphing with the times-they offer package tracking, collectible stamps (so cool), and of course, Christmas/Holiday stamps for those Christmas cards. Always something special about getting mail and while most days its primarily just junk mail, let's not kid ourselves, Mail and mail delivery is not going away anytime soon. USPS is still evolving and I'm following this interesting transition to see their next chess move. read more

Every time I have a package being delivered, it gets marked as Addressee unknown and returned to shipper. This has happened 3 times now. The same packages get delivered after the shipper sends them via UPS or FedEx. Amazon has no problem finding the address either. All the bills come from the post office, no problem. I call to try and figure out the issue. There's no point in posting your office phone number if you just let the phones ring and never answer. Get your ish together ffs. Anyone reading this; save yourself wasted time and just go to the Sierra Adobe or Peoria locations. Even better, use UPS or FedEx. read more

I hate this location . Always long lines and the employees don't care . I was here on a Tuesday with the line 14 people deep. Guy in his 30s manager looking type was chitchatting with a customer. He obviously knew for 15 minutes. I got some guy named Wayne who gave me an interrogation over sending a book media mail . He asked me three times if that was all that was in the box and told me how they will open and inspect it. so stupid. I'm glad I don't have to use this office regularly. read more

The lady did not bother to listen to her co-worker. There's no teamwork for sure and attitude adjustment is needed. Among the many other USPS locations, this location is one my favorite to go when I'm in the area. It's close to the 101 and actually provides customer service here. I had encountered other locations wanted to chew me out just asking for tape on an already prepaid package. The extended hours help such much, especially during the holidays. The parking can get crazy on weekends. read more

Large location. Post office boxes available and open 24-7. Self service kiosk is open 24-7 making it very easy to ship your packages at anytime of day or night. Typically the lines are pretty long and this is during the busy hours however during the day you'll be able to get in and out fairly quickly. The window service hours are Monday through Friday 9 AM to 6 PM Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM and close on Sundays and holidays. The post office at this location is very clean and well kept. For the most part the staff moves at a fairly fast pace to save you time and the shipping rates are in my opinion the best around. I especially love the option a priority mail shipping with the two day option. This would be my local post office since it's closest to me. read more

I live in the area for the past few years but today was my first time going in. I have a bad habit of procrastinating and forced myself to go in to mail out some family pics to my MIL in Florida that she has been so patiently been waiting for. Of course with it being right in the middle of a busy holiday season, the line was loooonggg - for both self-service stations and regular service. I could have used the self-service but the regular line seemed to be moving faster. The employees were very pleasant and helpful in getting me what I wanted. Despite the long line, I felt it moved really steadily and was able to leave after 25 minutes. Oh heavens, the parking lot. I learned my lesson in procrastination and will now mail out stuff in a more timely manner. read more

I'm giving it 5 stars not because I had to wait in line over 20 minutes to reach the counter, but because of the customer service by Scott once I got to the counter. He apologized for the wait, explained they were short staffed. There were 3 counters available, only 2 clerks on at the time. He was professional, courteous, polite and got me out of there very quickly. For that it is 5 stars. For wait time, it would be 2 stars. There was a kiosk out in front with someone available for simple matters like buy stamps, info, and the lady did help me asking me what I was there for. I was sending an overnight letter so I had to go to the counter but she gave me the necessary paperwork to have ready when I reached the counter. Scott keep up the good work! read more

The post office bureaucracy has not changed. It is the closest entity to treating patrons and its employees like servants. Well I guess that is why employees are call civil servants. Unfortunately this spills over to the way they treat their patrons. There are no refunds on postage if you want to return stamps you purchased.. Another means used to keep patrons in line is if your mail is a few cents short, postage due as it is called, must be collected. It is returned if you don't pay up. Once returned to the sender if the shortage is added it still not valid because the original postage becomes void. In the same token put too much postage on mail and it's your loss. No credit, no refund. A nasty business when a minor street number error will result in non delivery which ties it up in a process that takes days if not weeks before it is returned to you and you are out the entire amount of postage when a small amount of compassion by using the addressee's name or inquiry would resolve the issue, but no, it's regulations. Maggie, a supervisor, who claims she carried mail for a couple of decades gleefully loves to annoy patrons with her authority of postal regulations. Apparently, she has learned well how to survive in the system. It is near impossible to be a compassionate person and be a supervisor in the USPS. Next time you see your mailman ask how things are at the post office. Any honest answer will tell you they are under a lot of stress. How would you like to work under those conditions? read more

Long line and slow service. Both self-service machines are horrible. Poor touch screen that doesn't recognize half your presses. Because they're super slow in processing, you don't know if it did or did not recognize your press. Some items you press enter and others you select continue or next continue instead of the same things for next steps. And don't even get me started on the measurements function of the machines. In our day of technology, these machines should be so simple and fast but, instead, they process like an Atari box. By the time you've wasted time on both machines to realize this, the line is super long only adding additional time to your visit. I left and went to 98th Avenue and Bell. The staff there are fast and friendly. Long lines move so fast there (there 1 machine is horrible too, but at least they move the line fast). read more

I was mailing a couple things out and didn't have tape for the boxes or a pen for the mailing labels .... It was a long day and I changed purses. There was a lady next to me tapping her boxes and she was so generous by letting me use hers. Realizing at this moment I didn't have a pen and there happens to be none around. There was a man standing inside that let me borrow his. Everyone here was so nice and generous!! I used the computer mailing system and loved it!! Lines are typically long most of the time but during the off peak hours midday it can be rather quiet. Mondays and daily 4-6 is probably the busiest time. They have 2 APC machines, 1 in the lobby and 1 inside the main office. This is the only post office in the immediate area. read more
