I have fought with this location ever since I've moved to the neighborhood in early 2025. Have had to hold my mail due to issues with my apartment complex, and the staff NEVER can find it. I've had to talk to the station manager MULTIPLE TIMES just to get gaslit about mail I've confirmed has been received (via USPS informed delivery emails). Staff is never consistent in their knowledge and couldn't care less. This location needs an overhaul! read more

I got here at 4:55pm with some documents to send off. The lady there laughed and told me I need to come quicker and was rude because they close at 5pm. It doesn't matter if I had gotten there at 4:58pm, if you do not close until 5pm then there shouldn't be an issue. They need to change the closing time on the website & door and lock the doors to 4:55pm if its a problem coming 5 mins til close. Terrible customer service. Same as 2 days ago. Worker does not care how long it takes. So slow that people in line are interrupting to get questions answered, but that makes it slower for all. This place used to have 2 + fabulous workers, tall lady w grey/white hair and other nice quick efficient lady. Two greats replaced by one slow loud awful worker. This location is terrible. The other day, I waited in line with many other people during lunch hour for sèrvice. there was one employee on duty and 12 in line. I asked that another person help us and was told that she was having lunch. I suggested that she should have her lunch at a different time when so many people had come to the post office on their lunch hour and had limited time. By the time I left there were 5 people in line - not because they others were helped, but because they didn't have time to wait. Others came in and seeing the line, left. I asked for the number to call and complain, but was disconnected twice as no one picked up the line. read more

If you are looking to get the worst service ever and want a gallon of attitude served to you and mess up your mood, come to this location!!! I never needed to ship boxes from usps so I was going through the options for boxes before packing my shipment. I didn't have tape and was hoping one of the employees at the register would lend me some tape. Ups and FedEx always help me out and also print my labels upon request. Once I'm done, I get online line. The black lasy/employee started yelling at me saying "don't come up here if your stuff isn't taped", "why would you come to the post office and not be ready", "is all the addresses on the box, if not don't come here", "there's tape on the back of the wall for 3.99 we don't have tape for you". So of course I didn't put addresses on the box because the pen there was leaking and not working. I go up to her and ask is for a pen that works. The lady starts mumbling under her breath, finishes with the customer, starts yelling and cackling with her colleagues and walks off to the back yelling I have stuff to do and saying I better be off by 5pm. I have never left an establishment yet a post office and got treated with such distaste. Very miserable and rude employees. You are better off going to one near the Casa Linda shopping plaza. Zero stars on customer service. Patty is a NIGHTMARE! You'd think somebody who hated her job that much would quit. I usually come in a few times a week with five or six package already paid for, that need to be scanned in to let our TikTok shop know they are at a post office ready to go out. TikTok shop doesn't offer a manifest sheet (which I've told her multiple times) so the PO has to scan all five or six packages in individually. Our interaction with the pissed off, complaining Patty lasts about two minutes and thirty seconds. We aren't holding anyone up. It's exhausting having to depend on this specific post office to send out package for our business which we work tirelessly at. ***They have a kiosk for self scan in but it's always down, perhaps fixing the kiosk and moving Patty away from customers would make a more pleasant experience for Lakewood PO patrons. read more

She helped me pick out the right sized box for my item, and a box that would make my transaction cheaper. I lived a few blocks from this post office for 13 years and after consistently receiving a sour, uppity attitude and poor customer service from the women behind the counter, I started driving miles out of my way to go to a different post office. Apparently Lakewood locals like being abused because it's still going on years later. I'd like to say that I'm shocked that this is allowed to continue, but I'm not and, let's face it, neither are you. We all know why it's allowed to continue. My favorite postal location of the many I've used over the years. This visit was typical. I was there to pick up a certified delivery from a missed attempt the previous day. There was a very short, fast moving line and I was greeted as I walked in. I was treated with respect and sincere appreciation for being there. Mine required a bit more effort than the others and I got to wait and listen to the great service the other customers were receiving. Lots of helpful suggestions and advice! The parking lot is somewhat small, but they get folks in and out quickly so if you have to wait, it is very short. I always seem to get lucky as I did this trip. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is facility maintenance is on the lower side. The grounds could be kept up a bit better and the interior could use a deep detailed cleaning. read more

The scales are not accurate!! Go to the clerk/scale on the far left (closest to the exit)....it's the only scale reading accurate. I got charged more than a standard stamp to mail 3 sheets of paper in a regular envelope. Come on! My husband went a week later and his package was 2 ounces more than it REALLY weighs, so price was $4.40 more...since the extra 2 ounces made it go over 3 lbs, the price jumps up. He questioned it and the desk team discovered that scale (and the one next to it) were indeed off by a couple ounces! I know a couple ounces doesn't sound like much but this can really change the price of a package. My neighbor had a questionable amount charged too, but she didn't say anything...but she said she will now! CAN THE POSTMASTER PLEASE GET THE 2 SCALES RE-CALLIBRATED FOR US??! However, the less than lackluster service(year round) from these ladies is deplorable. Convenience is great for my Lakewood location, but I've got to rethink the USPS. I came here to mail a package on the 23rd of December and was prepared to encounter a dreadful line and to my surprise...nope! This post office isn't fancy by any means, but they're not really trying to be. The service isn't spectacular but they get the job done and the staff who helped me (Chris) even said Merry Christmas which was a friendly bonus. I did notice they were out of quite a few supplies and the ones that were present looked a bit disheveled. Could be the holiday season. Remember, this is not a restaurant or retail store. They don't work on commission and aren't trying to make you smile for tips. It's the post office, homie. I actually wasn't moving quick enough and had to let a few people cut me in line. The line grew a bit while I was there, but they were quick and efficient and I was in and out in under 10 minutes. Yippee! That's what I'm talkin about. I'll be returning. read more

I switched to this post office after I've had some bad experiences at the one off Al Lipscomb Way (lost packages that I sent off there that they could never locate and unhappy employees.) this location is very busy normally, sometimes even the lot is full, but I still prefer this one! The employees here are always very nice and friendly. Sometimes they actually have convos with the customers which I never really see at the other locations. No bad experiences so far! read more

Just came here to pick up a package. The line was short--maybe one or two people ahead of me. Parking was easy, they have a parking lot. They gave me my package and I was on my way. I love this post office. I ship frequently and they get you in and out quickly. I see a lot of bad reviews but I think if you actually know how to ship things and what the post office provides and what they don't you'd have a better experience. The staff is always very friendly to me, especially Patty! She is always very sweet and helpful! Even their postmen who deliver in my neighborhood(not to my address specifically) are so warm and friendly. This is the worst form of customer service by the entire staff at the Lakewood Dallas tx post office including the station manager vernice Jones who jid in her office while 4 of her employees would not give me the proper contact to file a complaint bc she was well aware and could here what was going on up at the front desk 3 staff members and one in the back that answers the phone and I was told she was the supervisor and she's the first one I had a problem with by not acting professional or as a supervisor should in my opinion. This is quite ridiculous bc I went in the web page for that location # 7521407330 and there is nothing but complaints from other customers about the entire staff at this local. My mailbox has been vandalized and don't know when it'll be fixed so they have to hold my mail until then which means I must constantly go in there to pick up my things and deal with this type of service from the staff ,supervisor and station manager. I could see just one employee having an attitude but the entire office having an problem with me is beyond words. I'm seriously thinkn about having all my mail redirected to another local bc I won't be treated this way. If I did that at the hospital to my patients I wouldnt have a job. This office has the rudest agents ever. I think they have to pass a rudeness exam before being hired. The young woman agent's face would crack off if she smiled. I brought in a notice to pick up a letter and the notice had the wrong date on it for pick up. She searched for the letter then came back and said the postal carrier still had it. I said well the date was for pick up today, her reply was it's not here. I said then they put the wrong date? She tersely replied they put the wrong date. No sorry just attitude and rudeness. This is the worst post office in Dallas and that's hard to say. The old white lady with short hair needs to be checked, as I'm seeing reviews that she was rude over a year ago to other customers. I literally drop over 100 packages off a day at this location and am nothing but nice and smiling but the old white lady and the younger black lady have the WORST attitude I've ever dealt with and I own a card store so I hear the worst of the worst. I ran into my rude, unprofessional replacement carrier at my apartment mailbox just now. I noticed she had put Advo/Redplum junk mail in my box which was addressed to an adjacent apartment. I've also been taken off the Advo/\Redplum mailing list, and a note inside my mailbox says "No Advo." I advised the carrier that the junk mail was not mine and asked what I should do with it. She advised me I should "wait until she was finished." At least she didn't tell me to "shove it," but that was obviously her attitude. Then when I called the Lakewood post office To complain I got a recorded message indicating a wait time of 30 to 45 minutes. So here I sit. My feeling now is we cut back the existing six-day a week deliveries to twice a week and fire half of the carriers, hopefully including the rude ones like her.
