Service at this location is most often sub par Notmally, I choose to only deal with the stamp machine. Tonight, the machine didn't work. I purchased stamps and received a receipt. However, I received no stamps. I then tried to obtain assostamce and no body responded. We did hear employees talking behind closed doors and post boxes. One snapped with attitude "were closed". Continued incompetence from the carriers, ever since we lost our GOOD mail carrier last year, who got promoted. She was awesome. But ever since then, it seems like we have a different carrier every day, and all but one are clearly not using their brains. One of them continues to write our house # on our mailbox - we've complained 7 or 8 times now and it still happens. Another likes to put packages right at the lip of the doorstep - the first time this happened I nearly tripped over them and nearly did a face plant in the process. I can't believe somebody would be that stupid, esp when we have a table right on the front porch where the packages could be set down on! Finally, after my last complaint about that, today, I get this angry and sarcastic voicemail from them. Why bother calling me if you're gonna have an attitude?? Jerks. read more

I have had P O Boxes for over 45 years, mainly in the Los Angeles, Beverly Hills area. Today 9/11/2020, l opened a new P O Box as l live in the Antelope Valley. In all the years l have had post office boxes l have never heard of all the benefits you can derive from having a P.O. Box. ILENE RODRIQUEZ was my customer service person, she deserves a pay raise. She was very knowledgeable, patient, kind and thoughtful. I felt good leaving the Antelope Valley Post Office because l know one person that loves her job and it shows. If you go around 4, expect a VERY long line. However, if I go in, usually I just need stamps, which with a debit card, I can purchase in the machine. I find their drive up options to drop off mail are very convenient :) read more

It's definitely a hit or miss with a friendly and helpful worker. You will always be standing in a line. I'd say 3 out of 4 times it will be long, painful and you'll find out they'll tell you to tape more of your item or there will be a tiny part of your box untapped and they won't tape it. That one person, 1 out of 4, nice person, helpful person, will tape it for you so you won't have to go home and do it and you'll be able to send it that day. read more

....Customer Service, Customer Service,Customer Service.. This Post Office is centrally located in Lancaster Ca. The parking lot can accommodate many cars. The inside of the Post Office has a modern look and feel with many available P.O. Boxes. They have all the amenities of a large functioning P.O. Many tables to wrap packages and a new automated package station. The hours are good. They even have extended hours on Saturday until 3pm. Priority packages and Express packages start at this office are scanned at Santa Clarita and usually arrive on the expected date. Unfortunately ,every time I go it has a very long line. I have to go to this office 3 times a week to drop of my Ebay packages. Every time I have gone the front desk staff has been a little rude. They never smile and rarely help the customers. Today it was more of the same. I'm hoping that one day they can crack a smile and become helpful to the customers. Move the lines a little faster. read more

If I could I would have given this 0 stars let me tell you. This has got to be one of the absolute most worst places I've ever been to. The staff hates their job so they are degrading, disrespectful, mean and rude to the customers. The actual building is okay. It has a lot of boxes and other mailing supplies that people need I don't need it because I order everything online and have it come to my house in order to avoid going and spending more time than necessary in the post office. If you think you will get welcoming attitudes and that you will be helped you are better off not coming at all. Trust me this is not an exaggeration. They need to bring in new people get rid of that whole staff because even though people do use the post office you are leaving people with a bad taste in their mouth after they leave! This review is only about the passport service at this office... which is to say there IS NO PASSPORT SERVICE. What was previously an inefficient, often confrontational process was unceremoniously discarded, leaving AV residents to drive about an hour each way to apply for passports. As bad as the previous process was, it was better than nothing, which is all this post office is good for now. read more

Big ass letter on the envelope say "DO NOT FOLD" because there are expensive graduation photos inside. So what does the delivery person do? They fold it in half and stuff it into the mail box! How stupid are these delivery people? Huge fail and not the first time this has happened. read more

Very bad customer service perhaps the worst!!! I called to see if they where able to hold my mail for 2 weeks because I was going on vacation the supervisor by the name Rack was very rude!!! He answer the phone and told can you hold I have other people calling too!!! Then after being on hold for 30 min he comes back on the line and tells me so you were saying in a very rude sarcastic way! He went off on me and when I ask to speak to a supervisor he said well I'm the supervisor and started laughing in my face. Then I told him I was going to file a complaint he said I don't care do what you have to do!!! I was so shock they have someone like this working for our post office!!! I moved my office this way about 2 months ago and have used this postoffice about 6 times. 2 times the line was long but it moved very quickly. The service has always courteous and I've seen an expediter helping in the lobby a couple of those times I've been in. Im sincerely hoping this trend continues read more

One worker was so condescending to me, a really old lady that I will never forget. I forgot my wallet and I had to come back and she was like giving me crap about driving without my license, i said, is this the DMV? Heads up everyone. If you send a package and that item get's damaged they will drag that process on forever as if you are some sort of criminal. And be sure that if you want your money back for their famously known tossing of packages, that insurance that they provide, you will not get back the cost of the shipping which should be included in the refund. It was a waste of time talking to the supervisor there because it is always up to the discretion of the Postmaster whether they refund it or not and guess what............they will not. read more

I would like to insert a positive note here. I'm commenting on the window service. Typically there is a pretty long line when I go in, but, I think they do their best to move it along. Many times there's a postal employee who walks down the line helping folks fill out forms and get their mailings ready before they get to the window. Typically, if your package is all ready, with a pre-paid printed postage label, that same employee will offer to scan in your package without waiting in line. Occasionally I've encountered a somewhat rude employee, but, most of the time I think they are courteous. I haven't used the passport services or the PO Box service so I can't comment on those, but I wanted to comment on the positive service I have received.. read more

Terrible experience with postal worker named Crystal. She was annoyed (and showed it) with me for not completely filling out an extra form that was going onto a package bound for the United Kingdom. She did not appear to understand how a package was shipped abroad either and took her irritation out on me. She behaved in a rude, condescending and completely unprofessional manner. I have lived in Lancaster for nine years and my dad has used the post office to ship packages for his business, since 1999. My dad spends 10 grand on average to ship stuff through the post office and they treat him like trash. They never want to help him with his packages they are rude when he speaks to him. I'm greatly disappointed. The only people who are good courteous people are the people working in the back. My dad is a very kind man who does not deserve to be treated the way he is with the post office. Also the main man in charge a white fellow is very racist to some employees (won't say names) and customers. I do not remember his name but he is extremely rude and aggressive towards my dad and other customers of color. I'd say a description of him would be a fellow in his 50's blue eyes about 5'9 165lbs. Avoid him I can't believe he has a job with this company. Even the employees complain and have told me and my dad that he's intimidating and rude but they are scared to take action against him. read more

There is one cashier there (the only male cashier I've ever seen in a regular post office position) who I love to have ring me up. I often have a lot of bubble envelopes and have had cashiers here get angry about the number of packages but this man is always helpful, polite and friendly and he doesn't complain about doing his job! It's astounding to me when the cashiers get annoyed with me for having too many packages, especially since I have every package ready with tracking and posted printed on it so they only need to scan it in.. It all has to be scanned in at some point anyway!! If all the employees were as great as the one man I'd have a 5 star rating on here.. Without him it'd be 1 star. He brings it to 3 on his own.. The self-service machines work great and I wish I could scan each package in mysekf, similar to the way self checkout works at libraries and supernarkets. I was INSIDE the building and had waited for over five minutes (BEFORE Closing Time) at the end of the line (between the double glass doors and the metal detectors) when a Staff person came up and locked the doors and said that because I wasn't "inside" the metal detectors, I was NOT in line? Well, I am going to slightly disagree with the people who have posted negative things about the lady who is in charge of the Passport Department. I was just there, 11/30/2013, and would like to remind you that she is in charge of a very difficult and critical department. Her job is to verify, and make sure that all documents are correct for the State Department. She is not a hostess of some restaurant. While I think of myself as a person who crosses all my tees and put dots on all my i's, I failed to have some copies and bring some originals with me, which she clearly stated when going through my documents. I was very thankful that she takes her job very serious. I believe because of this, I will not have my documents returned, and will have my passport in 4-6 weeks. Don't listen to these negative statements. Go ahead and bring your documents and allow this lady to make sure that you will send all of your documents perfect for the State Department.
