I won't be going back to this Staples. My elderly mom and I came in for the very first time on Monday the 8th around noon because she needed some papers printed. Since it was our first time using the printers there, we needed a little help. Unfortunately, the three girls working at that time were rude, unfriendly, and not helpful at all. They made us feel like we were bothering them just by asking basic questions. It was such a disappointing experience that I almost asked for my money back and went somewhere else. They have an Amazon return center there. This is still the best place to go for most office supplies. There are always plenty of customers there and I've never waited long for service as they actually have a good customer to employee ratio. It's nice to walk around and look at items but it's fantastic to do that and find a associate to help with in moments opposed to the big box conclave that hides everything behind bars so you can't touch or read the products!! Amazon returns is the problem if you don't ask for your receipt when returning an item it will not be processed, this happened to me and I lost money because Amazon never got it back even though they printed the return label, so always ask for your receipts. I needed some documents to be printed. I know that by coming over here, I will be able to get the job done. Upon entering, I went straight to the DIY printing machines. I was gleeful when I saw that the machines aren't busy. I chose one and did my business. Suddenly this gentleman came and stand a few steps from me. I told him that there are machines available and he said " I like this one, it has ledgers". Rude... I rolled my eyes and tried to do my best to finish things up. Do NOT drop off UPS AIR shipments here! I asked the rep if it's too late for UPS air - she said no, they pick up around 3:30pm. I dropped off two packages and got a receipt confirming drop off at 2:26pm, an hour before they are supposed to pick up. Sadly, UPS only got one, the other was not picked up until later in the night which delays delivery a day. I reached out to UPS, UPS says they were not given the 2nd package. Purchased and gaming chair and a 2023 planner calendar.. The cashier wasn't helpful, only doing her job, clearly understood. Long stoy short had a return for the planner as the dates were messed up.. The manager stood in the back ( i guess) and I explained why I was returning the planner. He stepped up and gave me the most expensive for a same price and the one I returned, which was less. Well I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are in regards to but I don't care to read them because the level of customer service I received was exceptional. All 3 Managers that I dealt with went above and beyond the call of duty. I first spoke with Vince who made an exception to allow us to return a printer without the box and do an exchange. Susan then gave me some additional information which allowed us to place an online order and price match Best Buy which saved us an additional $150 on a more expensive printer. Pau-Lei(forgive me if I spelled it wrong) honored what we were told which doesn't happen a lot in retail. Thanks to the staff and we will only do business here from now on. read more

I came in to get some iimportant copies made. The workers at the copying center were very patient with me and helped me to make my copies. They were very professional and polite. Rose was very helpful when I had multiple questions. She was able to guide me to what I needed. So much so that I decided to come on here to leave a review. As I was reading reviews I couldn't help but notice someones negative review. As I start looking at this persons profile they seem to be a very unhappy person who goes on multiple businesses to leave bad reviews. Just about all her reviews are negative. I thought to myself what must have happened in that ladies life that she's so negative. Looks like we have a negative Nancy but in this case it looks like a "Sad Cindy". Is there a way to give negative stars? I'm pretty sure Hellen Keller could have done better putting this print job together. I placed a print order on Sunday, Jun 30, 2022, at 12:06 pst for the Staples store (88) on Valley Central Way in Lancaster, CA. The print job consisted of 12 documents to be printed in order with a comb binder and page tabs. First, I received a phone call from the store saying one of the files would not open (it was a .pdf file) and I was asked to send it to the store using the print.marketing0088 email address which I did. Fast Forward to Monday afternoon, I called to check the status of the print job only for the person to hang up on me. I called back and was told the job was on hold because one of the files would not open. I shared that I had resent the file Sunday at 2 pm and the reply was, "Oh, I didn't look for that well, we can have it ready Tuesday or Wednesday, or do you need it sooner?" It was my understanding that print jobs submitted before 2 pm would be completed that day or the next....not 3 days later. At 3:17, I received a phone call saying the staff could not open the file and I could either resend it or have the project completed without it (she kept talking over me the entire time mind you). I said fine, just print it but make sure all the documents are in order. Today I picked up the project and it is a complete disaster. The page tabs are not labeled as I requested, the last 3 tabs are all side by side, one document was printed twice and the tabs are in random locations (splitting documents). I have had MULTIPLE print projects completed by this store and this by far is the WORST. Not to mention I was charged $32.02 for a project that was 16 pages less and completely useless. I could have done a better job printing this at home and stapling it. Surely this is not the quality of product this store stands by as its standard. read more

The customer service here was above and beyond!! We HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this store! We bought a desk after a big move and we we're putting it together and one of the dowels web straight through the surface! We were so upset thinking we would have to buy another $200 desk. We were so stressed and bummed. I called though just to make sure bc we had bought the warranty. They said we could just come in and they would let us go through another box and pull out the pieces that we needed!! That's amazing!! When we got it too the guy helped us from start to finish, from getting the desk from the back to ringing us up and even taking it to our car! I would suggest going somewhere else for your printing needs. Alot of time and effort wasted to get the proper prints that were ordered. They cannot do much to help you over the phone and we had to spend extra time and gas to drive back to the store to correct the situation. I can't speak much for customer service on the employee end as a friend dealt with the issue in person, but I can say thank you to the manager who I talked with on the phone.
