Truly the worst post office ever. Been standing in line for an hour to pick up certified letters. Got so board I started timing how long it takes to help each person in the pickup line. Seven minutes each on average. Just to pick up a package, not to ship or pay. People from the back keep walking to the front to make sure it's even open. read more

A 1 star is even too much for this post office. Worst customer service! Rude staff. Not willing to help. They do not consider people's time. Waited 3 hours to pick up and come to find out they sent it back before the 15 days they are supposed to keep it. They are very unorganized and need to hire more people. One person at the pick up window is just unacceptable. The line is unbearable!! They really can't expect people to deal with this every single time! 7 open windows available...but let's only put one postal worker, and let's make sure he's the slowest worker we have. By far this is the worst post office I've ever been to. Debra is like a phantom for the pick up line. You may or may not see and once that door is closed good luck seeing her for the next 35 minutes. Steve, the bearded guy who likes to get chatty with every single person when the line is like 50 deep thinks he is clever but it's just annoying and not professional. Glad I had nothing to do today but waste my whole morning. Btw. I'm typing this while I'm still in line for the past 45 min. Oh and they don't let you speak to a supervisor which is probably a good thing as likely she/he is just as incompetent as the rest of the staff. Oh and don't get me started with the carriers who deliver wrong addressed mail to my box at least once a week. They also never even come up to my door even for overnight stuff. They just leave a note in the box. I complained about it but that didn't make a difference. This place is a sad excuse for a US Post Office. Bad news and not customer friendly. Went in to renew my passport. Told (sharply) to sign in and then left standing. Asked again whether I should remain where I was waiting and told to sit on chairs near window. Waited 20 minutes and then asked if Postmaster even knew I was there. Clerk said she would alert him. Then she continued to wait on others, never leaving her position. Pulled out my smart phone and was going to call station number when Postmaster appeared and called my name. He then informed me all I needed was a form to be sent in. All that waiting for nothing! I asked why they didn't inform me and he said he's trying to teach them to do that. Are these not overpaid employees? Taxpayers paying for service we are not getting. read more

So apparently I'm not the only one with a problem at this wonderful place called a post office. Been having one issue after another for months now getting my mail delivered to my house. I go in and talk to a employee and they suggest I speak to a supervisor, so she gives me the number after asking her if this is a number someone actually answers cause my previous attempts to call always got a busy signal. So I call this so called supervisor and speak to him in regards to my mail never getting delivered from court documents to credit cards, missing christmas gifts, bills being returned to sender like it's not a valid address. His reply is ok I will look into it. Never heard anything back! So I make another trip to this lovely post office and this time the same lady suggest I put ahold on my mail so I fill out the card and sign it. That was on Monday Feb. 29th so on Tues. I check my mail cause now I already know nothing seems to go right with this so called post office. And OMG can you believe mail was in my box junk mail that is . After a hold is placed on it. Everything should be held at the post office. So on Wednesday March 2, I stop in to get my mail. After waiting 30 min in line I speak to the same nice employee that now knows my name and face for being a regular here. Lmao she takes my info and off she goes to retrieve my mail, 5 min later she comes back and can't even find my mail hold card back there that's even missing now. At this point I'm so over it I ask her what the hell do I do from here I can't get my mail delivered and the damn card I filled out is even missing . She's even speechless and proceeds to tell me she doesn't even usually work at this office. I'm not sure who runs this place but I do know countless other people have the same issues . I know when I move again it won't be in this area of RED ROCK post office. Just doesn't make any damn sense. And the employee suggested I file a complaint with Consumer affairs here in Nevada! Of course they welcome costumers properly but doesn't really make a an effort to help you on a big issue, specially when some of the staff had the fault not just ours. I'd say they don't give enough options when big issues happen just how my package was lost and sent to a whole different location which I didn't wrote... they gave me a bunch of phone numbers to call but they were very rude towards me and really didn't wanted to understand my point. read more

i can not even begin to comprehend what a horrible post office this is ? the employees are super rude......their carriers are incompetent as they constantly leave the wrong mail in the box's, they lose packages, and if they have a delivery of a package...they will not even attempt to walk up to your door and ring the bell or knock.....they just leave the orange slip in the mail box. i wouldn't even be here posting if this was a once in a while thing that was happening but this is a (constant normal) for them to be completely incompetent and this is our mail.....important documents, packages etc. etc. whoever is the post master/supervisor i suggest you get going on a firing rampage to fire the incompetent staff, carriers and the such as your post office on teneya in summerlin is the very worst we have ever seen in our entire life. seriously do any of the supervisors or post masters look at their reviews on yelp? it is pretty disgracing for your image as a supervisor or postmaster to let these incompetent workers bring in so many negative 1 star ratings to your location in which you are in charge of. not to good at all !!!! we moved here from the lakes and never had all of the horrible service there or anywhere (the teneya summerlin location is the worst. well, i have said my peace here and i am just astonished at all of the negative reviews no one is happy with the rude, incompetent, workers at this branch all the way out to the carriers. bad job......supervisors, postmasters (horrible job)! if zero stars were an option and also minus stars were an option your branch would get -5 stars. read more

Let me start off by saying, I am never the customer to raise a voice, or get angry at an associate. Me being in sales I know better. But today, I had by far the worst experience at an establishment possible. This location shows no professionalism, and its literally like your talking to someone in the street. I lost my keys and got them replaced the beginning of August, I had to go out of town and trusted that my mailbox key would work fine. Its the end of September and low and behold my keys didn't work. I patiently waited in the promised half an hour wait as always at this location and told them my issue and they had me wait for the supervisor. Once he told me that I may be charged I was obviously upset, but his reaction was far worse. He has no customer service and if I hadn't been the one to calm down, it felt like he would reach over the counter and attack me. Not only that, another customer shouted something out saying she was tired of hearing us argue and responded trying to make other customers gang up on me. His name was robert and he had absolutely no customer service skills, and he was so bad at his job, I honestly get mad at thinking about who would even promote this man as an supervisor. My 11 year old cousin probably had more patience than him. Im looking into seeing if another post office can handle my residences mail. Believe me, this has to be the worst location in the city, and if there was a petition to shut that location down, I would go out of my way to get people to sign up. Horrible post office. To pick up a package it takes at least an hour. Then on top of it all this specific post office (and mail person) have lost 5...thats right people 5 packages of mine. I have contacted the postal inspector and made several claims against this post office...seriously 5 packages in 5 years...To say they are disorganized would be the understatement of the year. I fully support people working at any age however having an entire post office full of those waiting to retire doesn't really work (and I really do not mean that in a mean way...they just need to faster help). read more

Sadly, this is the location that I've got to go through when there are any issues with my mail-- they deliver to my neighborhood from this location. So I get a key in my community mailbox indicating that I've got packages in a larger locked bin. Unfortunately, the key they provided does not work. It won't go into the lock. My husband happened to see a postal carrier in the area and flagged her down, and she couldn't open it either because the key doesn't work. After an hour and 15 minutes on hold with the 800 number (I tried calling the Tenaya office....I called 139 times and it was a busy signal ALL day), they open a "case" and tell me it could take 72 hours to resolve. Meanwhile, the Christmas gifts I ordered are in a locked box in front of my home and I can't get them. How is it possible the post office can't open a bin that THEY locked? No wonder the post office is in trouble. A private company providing this kind of service would be out of business by now. read more

This post office has to be the worst in the city. I cannot tell you how often mail has been put in the wrong mailbox. Our mail man is the slowest I always see him parked by the side of the road smoking a cigarette instead of getting his work done on time. I've been living at my residence for 3 years and I have never ever had a problem with the mail. The mail carrier has even come to my apartment and told me your mail box is full or has delivered packages. For the last two weeks, I've been getting a Vacancy card ALONG with my mail for a week and I just shrugged it off and thought it was a mistake. Now I check my mail every 2 to 3 days. Now the second week rolls around and I go to open my mailbox and find NO mail but now a green vacancy card that reads New resident please fill out the information. I was livid. My landlord posts a copy of the rent that's due every month around the end of every month and that piece of paper wasn't even in there. So I talk to my landlord and they say they delivered it. The following morning, I go the USPS on Tenaya and talk to a manager. Not only is he very nonchalant but tells me that the mail carrier doesn't know who lives there. I said but I've been living there for 3 years and have never had a problem with my mail. How could he assume that know one lives there? What gives him that right? The supervisor looked at me and shrugged his shoulders then stated, "Maybe your tag fell out." I was stunned. I told him thank you and left. Now I have to call ALL of my bill companies, medical responsibilities, college, etcetera to get my mail sent back to me. That was the most unprofessional encounter in my life and I hope people continue to write bad reviews for this place! read more

I went to this postal office to get new keys for our new lock the P.O. put on our community mail box. Stood in line for 40 minutes and the line didn't even move. I had to leave for another appointment. This post office doesn't give a damn about their customers, but they will (too late) when their customers eventually find a way to do without them because of their uncaring arrogant attitude. read more

This past Monday I went to the post office by myself for the first time and didn't know what to expect. I heard that the post office is a whole day experience full of long lines, rude clerks, and unclear directions. Well, the line did start from one of the three clerks and wrapped around the room. When I walked in I found the envelopes relatively easy to find and one clerk was actually walking around to help anyone with any question which was a pleasant surprise because I was completely clueless on what I needed to do with my letter or which envelope to even use. When waiting in line, I had able time to fill out my envelope and ask any last minute questions. When I got to the clerk I felt a bit rushed but understandably so because of the amount of other customers. All in all it's the post office and I know I'm going to have to stop by there many more times, so I wouldn't mind stopping by this one for those future visits. read more

Incompetence to a Science! Long lines, slow and lazy employees, rude and uninterested postal workers behind the counter. Sometimes they run out or they do not carry IPMO's to Asian countries like Japan (On Stock) . You need to call ahead to this Red Rock Office to make sure they have them or other IPMO's. Waited in line for 30 minutes just to have that clerk tell me to g to another office. This must be the place where they send all their postal employees to punish them. Instead they punish us. By the way, the other Post Offices in town are NOT like this one. Most are on top of things. UPDATE: I used this post office again to mail a parcel to Japan and get an IPMO (International Postal Money Order). The employee at the counter looks at me and says: "you need a customs form"....Of course I know this but they did not have any out by their disorganized and dirty supply area. It is filthy and disorganized area and need of restocking and cleaning. I stood to the side to fill out the form and the other "employee" said to go and fill it out on the desk. Mind you, the desk near the waiting area was covered in papers, three other people filling out things, and piles of parcels waiting to be called to the front. There was no room so I filled the form out on an unoccupied section of the front desk like "another" man was. I guess I was the "wrong color" as he stood there doing the same thing I was but HE was not told to move.....prejudice? perhaps? Her counter part next to her spouted off and said: "you did the right thing".....obviously not if you needed to reassure her of this action. It took her 20 minutes to get the IPMO, Place the stamps on the parcel and assist the next customer. This has to be the WORST Post Office in Las Vegas. While I was waiting the line was cut several times by people who had questions or just needed to drop off mail. I am assuming the manager came out and YELLED out "DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE A QUESTION" . Fiance went in to ship our Save The Dates. Paid in total amount for sum of weight, and 24 hours later get a phone call that they can't send them because they are magnetic. So they had been sitting there the whole time. Thankfully, they refunded our credit card but failed to acknowledge the option of handling the letters by hand, which is an actual service that we would have been happy to pay for, instead of unsealing all of our envelopes that were painstakingly addressed in calligraphy. Also, not a single person I know has had an issue sending magnetic save-the-dates. They even told us they couldn't send them because the return address label was on the flap and not the front. I've been doing that since I was a kid! Additionally, they previously refused my credit card because it said "See ID" on the back instead of my signature. I provided them with ID and they still wouldn't accept it. I had to stand there and SIGN IT in front of them, which is arguably far more likely to be fraudulent. What sort of logic is that?! Horrible service. I know a lot of folks who work for the postal service and they work hard. I will be taking my future parcels and letters to THEM instead. read more
