So, it's impossible to pick up a package. The person in charge of the "pick up only" window on 05/18/2015 gets a complete kick out of making people wait in line, he literally has fun tormenting people with waiting in lines. I had a package come in on the 11th, came to the post office on the 12th, and the same guy made us wait in line for 20 minutes, he then proceeds to close the window and hint everyone to go to the other line. post office claims they "attempted delivery" when in fact im sure they just couldn't find my front door and left. WITHOUT LEAVING A NOTICE AT ALL. Also I am new to the area so I had to do so much just to find the post office since I had no notice left. Then when I try to call no one ever picks up the phone. Friday Afternoon, 3 people working behind the desk, but only 2 kiosks actually helping people, 15-20 people in line means over an hour wait. Then I was told that I was in the wrong line, another 15 people line is for tracking only. Waited another 40mins to get my package tracked. Then they said it was lost and couldn't help me. Package says delivered but never arrived. Basically understaffed, many people complaining, employees are tired and worn out, I'm going to guess that it's like this all the time. read more

Everyone looks like they hate their job. They give you flat rate boxes for free, then you have to pay 15+ in shopping and $5 on the smallest roll of tape because they can't tape it for you. Yet I've never had an issue shipping items that still needed tape. Plus the lady made me go back into line to tape it because the 2 seconds it took to run tape across the top of the box was to long. Yet it took her 3 tries entering my address so this was more then enough time to get it done. Never going back to this location if I need any help what so ever read more

By far the worst PO!! Got a slip stating a package needs to picked up at PO. Went in, was told to come back tomorrow at 8:30 after waiting in line for over 30 mins. Came back the next day at 10:33am. I know the resistance to going to any USPS location, but that's why I planned ahead of time to make my way here - had to mail my iPhone 5s back to my service provider. Anyway, I made sure I got there about 30 minutes before I had to drive my way down to work, and what do ya know...? I estimated correctly! Looks like they made slight changes, such as the packing area moved to the larger portion of the post office, so people don't crowd around you while you pack the flat-rate boxes up. I never really get into personable conversations with the post office employees, but they've always got a busy line to handle with individual needs. The ladies were efficient though. Let's see... Having 5-6 people ahead of me, I only had to wait about 10 minutes to get to the front, and 5 minutes to ship out the older iPhone and even got to mail my friend's belated gift. The Worst postal office ever! In total, they have lost three of my packages. The first package they lost, took them 45min for the manager to come out just to get my phone number for the lost package, which they they never followed up. The second package indicated it was deliver on a Sunday, which as we know they do not deliver on a Sunday... Last most recent package, a register mail package was left a pink slip, went to the post office stated they couldn't find it. Do I even expect them to follow up. read more

Worst post office in this city for sure! The staff here is horrible and instead of explaining something to you they get irritated and argue with you about it. They obviously hate working there because this attitude continues with almost every person and you're forced to watch in their super long line. Their passport hours they have on a sign are wrong- they won't make appointments on Mondays. Why? "just because" They said they don't have to follow the signs they have in display. What?? They are quick to push you aside when they want to and ignore you. Even the supervisor there- we waited after another guest to complain about the service of TWO workers and she ran off knowing we wanted to talk to her. Don't waste your time here. I rather take my chances with an owl sending off my mail than go back to them. read more

The United States Post Office is absolutely brilliant! First were going to replace everyone's mailbox and not tell them in advance that it's being done. After that give them absolutely no information about where to pick up their new keys. Once the tax payers make it down to their local post office they are forced to wait in a line that is 40 people deep. Common sense would say that you would have one window open just for people to get their new keys but again that's common sense and United States postal office does not have that. When picking a job I should've applied for the post office so that I could always have job security and never ever have to worry about being competent or trying to be kind to customers. Months ago I signed up for informed Delivery when I moved to my new apartment. I was receiving important mail that was address to my new address and never received any mail for that whole week. Absolutely nothing. Bad part about it is that I didn't start having issues with my mail now since I've been here in 08'. Now I recently had some important mail coming and informed Delivery stated again...what it was, so I knew it was important. And yet again, my mail carrier and this post office keeps not delivering my packages and saying it's delivered!! And then when I go up there all the rude clerks say" file a claim" like you can't even look in the back and see if it's being held or it fell or something. This is ridiculous. Worst part about it, my Wife is a Mail Carrier now, and I have to complain to her about this because it's also HER mail which is absolutely ridiculous because she's a Employee at another location. I'm really disappointed and will be filing claims and bad reviews until something gets changed. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. In no way do the 5 stars above negate the review I gave yesterday beginning with "Hint: Before renting..." That is still a 1 star (can you give them any less?) Eeek review, Today I was going to go down and wait for the mail carrier and film him/her doing his/her job in order to find out how he/she can lose so much mail. I figure if you can film police officers who fail to perform, you can also film mail carriers. However, it was the mail carrier who deserves the 5 stars above. Unfortunately for me, he is only on this route 1 day a week. He thoroughly searched for our missing mail and found one package in a different locker than the one for which a key had been left last week, (though my hopes are dwindling for the other). He was polite, attentive, courteous, and very helpful. I told him he should switch to another station (which was stupid of me - we deserve at least one excellent carrier on this route). So, remember the 5 stars are for him, whereas our "regular" carrier, when she was told by my husband one day that the locker key she had left didn't work, told him to go to the post office and tell them, even though the carriers have master keys and she could have easily opened the locker. Maybe I'll wait until she gets back and film her! __________ Hint: Before renting or buying a home in Las Vegas, make absolutely sure your mail will not go through the Red Rock Post Office on Tenaya. Those of you (like myself) who have already landed in their area, may want to relocate after you lose 5 or 6 important packages that, oddly enough, track as being delivered but never were. Then again, sometimes you will get packages belonging to others. I simply advise them of the misdelivery and that they may have said package when they deliver the ones I was expecting (they're a little faster in that case). I have actually been told they could not locate a lost package and to file a claim, then 3 weeks later the "lost" package suddenly appeared! The actual post office is not just a nightmare to deal with, the carriers must either be liars or stunningly incompetent. This week I have had 3 missing packages, 2 with tracking numbers, both marked as delivered to (locked) package lockers, neither were. We immediately advised them the package was not delivered, and were told we would have it when the carrier returned, between 3 and 5. Did not! Checked today (Monday), still not there. But don't bother lifting up the phone to call - the number is always busy. I suspect their phones get knocked off the hook early every morning. It's a shame that the United States Postal Service has sunk so low. Rude customer service, unhelpful and rude comments, which leads to an increase in price. Opening and closing lanes at will regardless of the line of people. Staff is miserable. If you had to drive a little further for a better facility I'd recommend it. First time going inside to mail something. I was a little confused on the enveloped I needed but I was greeted right away by a friendly employee who helped, and followed up on me while in line. The line itself went by quickly and the employee that took care of me was quick and efficient. Great visit. read more

I tried to pick up new mail keys a few times unsuccessfully. The wait was anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. The last time I went I was thrilled to see a special trailer parked out front dedicated to key pick up. There was no line and it took a total of 5 minutes.. I am not the type of person to write a review about a business and especially a government business because I feel that it is truly a waste of ones time and that nothing will change. The only reason I am writing this review is to WARN others so that they can be informed. I have had a post office box at this location since 2013 and I have had all sorts of issues with this post office from missing mail, missing packages to being locked out of my mail box(mind you I pay yearly and always pay on time) on 3 separate occasions. The first time I was locked out the guy at the counter was actually very nice and took the time to look this up on the computer to see that it was their error and opened it up for me. The second time the gal at the counter announced loudly so that the whole lobby could hear that the only reason why a person is locked out of a mailbox is that they haven't paid their bill. I explained to her that I pay yearly in June and that I was paid up she insisted that I have a receipt, I asked her to look it up on the computer on her side she said there was no way she could do this so I ended up coming back with the receipt and had to go through this whole song and dance with them again. The third time it happened I was prepared. If you have to do anything at the counter, be prepared for the worst customer service that you have ever had. I have had a few rare occasions in the past were the counter clerk was actually pleasant. Normally good business practice is to say to the customers that are in line "I can help the next person in line" this is not the case there the standard protocol for this post office is when you are next in line the clerks(literally) just glare at the customers as if there is some resentment for the customer being there in the first place. I'm really not exaggerating. If you need to pick up a package plan on waiting at least 45 minutes at the package pick window. The only time the line really moves efficiently is when people are so feed up from waiting that they leave. I have often wondered do they do this on purpose in hopes that the line will just go away. The other thing that happens is you could wait in the line for 45 minutes, when you finally get up there to give the clerk the package slip, this same person will leave for 10-15 minutes then return to tell you that the package is not there, and if you ask them why was this package slip left in my box, they will simply tell you it was probably an accident. Thus you should be prepared for this response and have proof from your side that a package has been delivered and is present there by having an email confirmation by the company that sent you this item otherwise you will be going home empty handed. This last Saturday 8/19/17 I had to pick up a package, the line was horrible, people in the line we're angry relating to having to wait such a long time. When I finally reached the window and handed the clerk the yellow package slip the clerk literally stated to me "what's this" I told her I'm assuming it is a package slip. She then said what's all this writing on the back, she was referring to names and box numbers on the back of the yellow slips which had a line through it. I explained to her that I don't work here I'm not familiar with the practices here all I know was this was in my box, and that it had both my name and box number on it. She then wanted an ID which I gave her she was gone for about 15 minutes then returned and stated there was no package. I showed her the tracking number and receipt from the company that I had purchased it from, she again left to look. Meanwhile there are 3 women behind me that are going bananas about this wait that they have went into the lobby to yell at the clerks. The package clerk came back again and stated that she couldn't find it and wanted my name and number and they would call me if they found it. I then asked her if she could give me my ID back which she did not have and had to leave but again to retrieve it then came back to give me my ID. By this time the 3 women behind me were in a complete rage at the service, and the environment was very hostile and toxic and I just wanted out. I went home, and was very surprise that about 30 minutes later I got a call from this post office stating that they had found the package. Thus I returned waited in the line again to pick up the package. The actual wait in the line was 65 minutes as I had a phone call when I was in the line and this gives me a pretty accurate time frame; however I have no idea how long this whole process was. Why have I had this post office box for so long if the service is so bad? Well when I first got my mailbox it was actually pretty decent, but over the years it has progressively gotten worse. The other reason is because it is a pain to change over all your mailing accounts to a new mailing address. I will though be researching other mailing options and making a change. read more

I received confirmation that a package I was expecting was delivered. When I went to my mail box to retrieve it, they had given me the wrong compartment key, since the package in there was not mine. I went down to the post office right after I checked my box( I get off work at 4, by the time I got my box checked it was 415-430.) so I arrive at te post office by 445. The lady at the desk told me I had to speak to a carrier. The lady at that door was less than helpful saying there is nothing she can do, the carriers need to be clocked out at 5 and no one can go back to my complex unit to see what box my package was put in until tomorrow. Someone there made a mistake and clearly they did care to make it right. I don't live in the best of areas and my package consisted of $400 worth of products for my self employment. Which I was expecting to receive today for my customers to receive tomorrow. Clearly that's not going to happen and this will now affect my business and my customers. If you need to pick up a registered letter, package, or your mail that been on hold, expect a MINIMUM of 30 minutes. The woman behind the counter today as well as during the holiday season works at a snail's pace & even though there were only 6 people ahead of me today, it still took 30 minutes to get my letter! Terrible. Had a credit card sent to me. Supposed to be 7 to 10 days. ......I got it 30 days later and it had been tampered with and the envelope had been re taped. Wtf??. I had already recieved a replacement by then via fed ex . . ..... The twenty year old van they deliver mail in HAS NO LICENSE PLATES ON IT...... and when i went to this office to check on the status of my undelivered tampered with mail... The fbi or something in four similar suv,s had the place surrounded inside and out. I felt like they were gonna stop me for being in biker attire. Do not use this post office or any other usps. The staff are not friendly, they close the line before the center closes, I was there 10 minutes before the office closes, but they didn't serve me because they had already determined the end if the line. Yes the lines are long, but they're typically not as bad here. Bring a book or play angry birds. Don't go to any post office when you're in a hurry, or you'll be frustrated. To be fair, I've noticed that slow-moving lines are caused by s-l-o-w customers who don't fill out forms in advance, won't stop playing with the yappy little dog in their purse, can't find their wallet, ask a dozen questions as though they've never mailed a package before, and argue federal policy with the clerk who tries to explain that she has no control over the weather, prices, or the election. If the post office installed trap doors in front of the registers, we could just send these people down the chute and the line would move much faster. But I digress. This office gets 4/5 stars, which is relative to other post offices in the area (not the same 4/5 stars I would give a restaurant I really like). We're talking about a government-run facility that serves the general public. This office at least staffs the desk and the windows. Every time I've been there, each register has an employee working. The supplies are usually stocked, and the self-service machine is working every time I need it. That's success in my book, as close as it gets. read more
