It's a post office. I don't really expect much except helping me mail something. And the staff here have always done that. They have always been polite and informative when I grab the wrong package type. Lines can be long but it always seems more like its the customers that ask 30 questions that make it take so long, not the staff. There is even a kiosk if you don't want human help to mail things. I have utilized the USPS branch at 6817 208th St SW, Lynnwood many times. Depending upon the time of day, there can be a long wait or almost no wait. No matter how long the wait, I have consistently found the staff at this branch to be helpful. They answer my questions and if I have additional forms to fill out, the provide them and ask me to stand to the side and let them know when I have them completed so that they can help me after their next customer. Lately I have had a lot of mailing due to probate, so I also use the branches near Alderwood and near the Boeing freeway and consistently feel that the 208th branch provides good service. read more

This place is horrible. I got a card in the mail saying to pickup my package at the post office. Went to the post office and handed the worker my card. She went to the back to retrieve the package and said it wasn't there. She said it either got delivered or the postal delivery person has it with them to try and deliver again. No package was ever delivered and the postal tracking system still has it as needing to be picked up or will be returned. So, I don't have the package, the postal delivery person doesn't have the package, nor does the post office have the package. Nobody Knows! read more

I have had 2 very expensive packages go missing I dropped off here funny enough the other packages I dropped off at the same exact time have been delivered. Yet these two packages don't even show a scan as being at the post office. This is by far the most incompetent set of workers I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They are unhelpful, have little to no knowledge on anything, and rude beyond belief. I came in with my girlfriend last week to get a passport. This was after the fact that we attempted to try the previous week only for my girlfriends appointment to be canceled by the passport office because their clerk called in sick. Like are you kidding me? So we go in after my girlfriend was told to come in anyways with out an appointment because there was open spots in the morning. We attempted to call back not even 5 min later after receiving the voicemail but no answer. They just let the phone ring. Great way to run a government office...Anyway so the passport office opens at 10AM, with appointments starting at 10. We got there at 10:20 in the morning. There was already people waiting there. The clerk was no where to be found. I had to go out to the front desk to ask for someone to come help us waiting in the office. This guy (an old white haired man with glasses) doesn't come till 10:35 to help us. He helps 2 people and says he 'can only get so many appointments done by 11'. So it's 10:50 and he asks us when our appointment is. We explain to him we were told to just come in and that they canceled our previous appointment. This guy then tells very abruptly that he can't help us and there's nothing he can do because he has to go to lunch. Like ARE YOU JOKING? This guy literally worked 15 min and was more than a half hour late to his own appointments. Yet he has the audacity to tell us he can't help because he has to stuff his face? Not only that he didn't seem the least bit apologetic and didn't even seem to care about providing us with any form of customer service. Needless to say I was livid. I am never coming back to this location ever again. 1 star rating is too generous wish I could leave 0 stars. WORST customer service experience of my life. The service is pathetic and every employee here should get retrained and learn how to do their job again. As for that guy I hope he reads this and realizes what a terrible employee he is. I'd ask for the manager there but he's probably just as incompetent as the rest of the bunch. read more

The employee named Kaye, an old Korean lady, she is extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked her where I can register my legal residence. She told me I can do that at Korean Consul. I asked her where the Consul is. Then she told me in an condescending tone that I should have looked it up at google my self. And she wrote me the google web address 'www.google.com' in a post-it and handed to me. From her attitude and gesture, it was obvious that she is making fun of me. This review is just for today and is geared towards Roy. He got upset at me for not having a pickup slip that was never given to me. I checked my mailbox and there was nothing in there. Instead, I got a text saying ready for pickup. Welcome to the new world of technology! Then I handed him a sticky note trying to make it convenient for whoever was going to help me today. He told me that I was off by two numbers, which then I tripled checked after I left usps. I was NOT wrong. I can only give you what I have Roy. He then suggested that I triple check the tracking numbers before coming into the store. Why does good customer service difficult to find at any usps store? Cold War era Russian bread lines had nothing on this place! If you are in a hurry, you will want to break something after a "quick" trip to this USPS location. There are few other USPS locations in the area so this place gets slammed. Never the less, the clerks here don't even pretend to value the time of their "customers." Usually there is only 1 clerk working the counters despite the fact that there are 6 booths. EVEN DURING PEAK HOURS! This 1 individual is usually an older asian lady who likes to chit chat with everybody and moves like a slug, so the wait is always extraordinary. I dread having to ship items from this location, as the line is always out the door and there is never less than a 20 min wait. read more

I used the express mail to ship my package to NY last week. The Asian male server was super rude and unfriendly. The "Boss" as everybody called him, was incredibly rude when we we're trying to pick up our mail. Then, he takes my ID with him when he goes to the back to grab my mail. Every other clerk gives your ID back immediately. He took around 10 minutes to show up again, then he tells me he lost my ID. Today, july 12 2018, i found out that my pack, out for delivery, probably went across the street to another apartment complex. i also found out the person doing this was a substitute. Now the thing is, that person clearly delivered nearly 10 packages all having addresses that were not the correct complex. That meant the person either didn't know where he/she was, or didn't care. Boxes for my complex went en masse most likely across the way to the wrong complex. Now you'd think you could call the postmaster and get them redelivered today as it is 2hrs before closing, but oooohhhhhh nooooo. You have to go thru the 800 postal service number with their horribly antiquated department systems and still get a message that to talk to an agent, probably in DC, would be 20 minutes or more. Is there any wonder the post office as a whole is losing money!!?! If a regular business was run like the postal service it would be out of business by now. Then, to complicate the matter, those misdropped packages will have to be picked up again, probably tomorrow, and hopefully taken to the correct complexes and delivered; this time correctly, which also means at least a day's delay!!. Meanwhile, my complex's office is closed tomorrow and i can tell you I will be 'campin out' in the afternoon waiting for my package just to make sure i get the darn thing as the packages will no doubt be left on the rug by the office door, that is IF the carrier has corrected his/her mistake!!. At least 10 people, in 2 complexes, are affected by this 1 person's lack of paying attention to correct addresses!! So, i'm not alone in being quite a bit concerned, as I also found out this is about the 4th time in a year this type of thing has happened to a quantity of packages. you know...if a carrier, substitute or not, can't find their way around, then it's about time they stop the truck, take out their dang phone, and gps where the crap they are, and deliver the darn mail correctly!!! read more

I have had never ending problems with this post office. I have actually even been physically attacked by one of their employees named "Mike." As part of my job, I often have to overnight things and pay the premium, only to have them arrive a week or more later. I have mailed tax returns a week early only to have them arrive a week late and cost me money in fines and penalties. I have PO boxes there and mail is CONSTANTLY misdlivered. It was bad enough this post office actually had protesters outside for several months because of the constant misdeliveries! I've paid for my box multiple times, only to be continually locked out. I confronted an employee with copies of cleared checks only to have her go into the back room and hide from me. This place is HORRIBLE! read more

Two stars because of one person only otherwise I would give zero. Thomas is the only helpful person in that entire building, the only one who knows how to actually do their job. It takes him 5 minutes to do what the ENTIRE rest of the building couldn't do period. I have had nothing but bad experiences with this post office up until he helped me. I am NOT surprised that they have less than 1.5 stars. Ridiculous is all i have to say. They have a policy which doesn't allow them to leave a package at my door EVEN WITH PERMISSION. I can understand that but when I come in to pick it up and you can't find it TIME AND TIME AGAIN. That's a huge fucking issue. Absolutely ridiculous. I don't pay for shipping for it to be shipped to somewhere I have to pick it up. It especially does not help when they lose my package almost every single time and are no help when that happens. I was waiting for a package to be delivered to my home. I knew via the tracking information when it would be delivered. After a while I realized it was past the normal delivery time so I checked the status online; sure enough, it said "delivered." I knew no one had been to our house and our locked mailbox was empty, so it might have been delivered to the wrong address. (Many of the houses in my neighborhood have the same house number and slightly different street numbers so I can understand how it is easy to make a mistake, and we often get other people's mail which I usually deliver myself.) The next day I called this location and gave the tracking number to the lady (possibly the manager) who answered. She said she would talk to the driver and make sure the package would be delivered correctly. Sure enough, when I got home from work, there it was on my doorstep! I was very happy and appreciative of this. "Thank you" to the kind lady in the office and the driver who found this package for me. read more
