On April 16 the eBay tracking system alerted me that an expensive package for which I was waiting had been delivered to my front porch. I immediately went to the front door. There was no package, which I immediately reported. Then the fun began. The eBay seller directed me to USPS. Their online app doesn't work. It would not allow me to enter the full tracking number - stops allowing me to enter any more numbers two digits too short for the USPS tracking number!!!!!!!!! Drove over to the US Postal Facility, which is staffed with the most disinterested, unmotivated walking dead I have ever seen. These folks do NOT want or intend to help customers. The one who "helped" me directed me back to the online app that doesn't work. NOTE: All over this facility signs are posted saying service can be refused to anyone for any reason. Dropped a small parcel off 6 days ago going from Medford OR to Portland OR. My parcel has been in Shreveport Louisiana with no movement for 4 days. it was supposed to be delivered 4 days ago. When I called they told me that ground packages go by the truck route to the distribution center (which is apparently 2100 miles away). Ironically, all first class mail from Medford goes through the Portland distribution center even when the destination is Medford. Brilliant. This was the final time I use USPS for anything. Do yourself a favor and ship with ANY OTHER CARRIER. read more

Made an appointment online to get my passport, got several email and text reminders, which was nice. In addition, the USPS representative called me to remind me that the Riverside facility currently didn't offer photo services, and to be sure to bring photos to my appointment or reschedule. I arrived 15 minutes early and was taken care of and out the door within minutes. Easy peasy! read more

Tomas is abusive if you need a passport. If you are a woman, don't bother. Bring a man with you. He has no business working with the public and clearly has little control in his personal life, and displaces it onto people. I have dealt with him through 3 kids (starting at 6 months, now mostly grown) and my own passport repeatedly (including a replacement from an emergency temp passport issued abroad). Awful. Sometimes I catch them talking to neighbors who want to talk them out of my packages. Other times the packages are never delivered to me though the USPS claims they are. Incompetent mailmen who hand a drunk who slurs every word my packages. Arrived on time for my new passport appointment (for my newborn who i had to bring with me!) and was subsequently reprimanded for not having come 10 minutes BEFORE my scheduled appointment time. Granted the online scheduling system does specify you should arrive 10 minutes early - however, I had everything ready to go after reading tons of fine print and requirements and was there at my precise scheduled time. I was refused service and lost my time slot which i waited 1 month to get. With this delay i may have to miss my planned trip abroad etc....ridiculous. read more

I wish there were negative stars to give! I have been calling repeatedly today (3/23/20) and the phone just rings and rings and then there's an automated message "Answering system off". Totally frustrated, I called another post office in the area and asked what was going on, and was told "oh, they never answer their phones. And they are a federal office, so I don't know how they can get away with that." This is ridiculous! And I'm not the first one to register this complaint on yelp for this post office. I also am a government worker and I would NEVER be allowed to get away with not answering the phones or establishing a reputation that that is what we do! read more

My wife had an appointment with the passport office to get a new passport today. Scheduled the appointment online, arrived on time and everything. She just called me crying. CRYING, because the guy in the passport office asked her "what are you doing here?" proceeded to belittle her for having the incorrect form, and had a terrible attitude. HE CALLED MY WIFE RUDE TO HER FACE! Tried calling every phone number I could find, only to have the same results as other reviewers. constant ringing, and nobody picks up. I usually go to the PO in Central Point, but was driving right by the Medford one, so mailed a small padded envelope going to GA (Georgia). Guess it where it is right now? GU (Guam)! Someone didn't look at the zipcode and didn't know their GA from their GU, which is inexcusable for a PO employee! Hopefully it comes back to the States soon. I've used this post office location many times over the years for mailing packages. The people there have been uniformly nice and helpful. There have been times when the line was long, but it's the normal cycle. Some times are busier than others. read more

The only good thing about this post office is the self-serve kiosk in the PO box area. I used to love the post office--the employees were efficient and friendly, the service was what you'd expect. Then the location moved to a horribly inconvenient location with a cramped area. There are signs up proclaiming their policies and just seem to express disdain for the customers. And they never never never answer the phone. The touch screen kiosk is a vast improvement over the lack of customer service. read more

I also had a very negative experience with the passport agent in Medford Oregon. He was filling in to ship packages. He kept switching between my screen and his screen back-and-forth repetitively so I could not read the shipping options. He negatively said to me I can't tell you what you're supposed to do. I simply said all I want is for you to stop moving the screen so I can read it. He became quiet and I said thank you goodbye but I really wanted to say more! read more

This is a hard review to make because the people that work in the customer service department there are wonderful. Have always been wonderful to me. There are some employees that have been there for many years and I've always been treated very well. The passport office as well. What my low rating is for is the fact that there are very short-staffed there. They need more staff to be more accommodating to the long lines that are always there. The older semi-large white lady with the short gray hair cut has no clue what any of the rules/regulations in order to receive/send mail and attempted to deny me service even with all proper documentation. She started to yell until she realized what she was doing then went to go get her manager to have him "confirm" with me the rules but he had informed her that all my documentation was in proper order and there is no reason to deny me service, she then refused to help me and sent me to another clerk. A waste of time and added stress all due to her negligence. read more

You have to call to make an appointment for your passport. The hold time was 35 minutes. Waited 35 minutes for the person to hang up on me before I got 1 word in. Always long lines. The passport guy is rude. The front is short staffed. Guys who handle the packages and mail are nice but look beat down from the lack of help. The passport office worker is one of the rudest most unprofessional employees I have ever come into contact with period on two different occasions he caused Havoc with the passport process to me personally. I have watched him piss off other customers in line for no apparent reason. He is obnociou and on some kind of little man syndrome. He has posted informational signs all over the office with grammatical and actual information errors, they have been like that for the last five years. There is no improvement in his behavior or attitude over that time span nor has he even fixed his signs. We all know the post office sucks but this one really sets the bar low. We're new renters in the area and were told we needed to go to the post office to pick up keys for our mailbox. Unfortunately we both work 8-5 jobs which is, of course, when the post office is open. We don't get time off for things like that and our lunch breaks aren't long enough to commute to the post office, wait in line, and get back to work. So over a week after moving in we finally got a chance to get to the post office on a Saturday during the 4 hours they're open... and they're closed. For what reason? No clue. By the time they reopened there was a line about 9 people long. We get up to the counter and the man tells us we need to pay for the lock change and charges us $40 for it. He says we should hear back about getting it changed by the following Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around, nothing. At this point we have several packages and other mail deemed undeliverable that we needed access to so we had to get to the postal annex to pick it up. But guess what? They also close at 5. The man I called at the annex was nice enough to schedule a later pickup for me the same day. I dropped by the post office (my mistake, I needed the annex) around 5:15, obviously they were closed but I rang the bell several times, knocked on the door, etc and I heard them all talking and shuffling around back there with not even a single acknowledgement, not even a "we're closed!". Good thing I wasn't injured or in need of some kind of emergency assistance! I got to the annex about 5:30 on Tuesday afternoon and the man I got my mail from seemed surprised that we had been told we needed a lock change since our rental is a brand new construction with no previous tenants. He told us to contact the post office for a refund. This was Tuesday. Wednesday we call the post office about 8 times with no answer and their voicemail is turned off to avoid messages. We called the annex and were told they had received the work order for the lock change so at this point we'd have to wait until they checked that and they would let us know later that day (Wednesday) or the following day (Thursday) whether we need to get a refund and when we can pick up the keys. Nothing by Thursday so we call and he tells us he'll let us know when they have news. It is now Tuesday of the FOLLOWING week (17 days since move in at this point) and we still have no keys, no access to our mail, and no refund. We've both already submitted our forwarding addresses and change of address form so we can't even rely on old addresses to receive mail at. We have bills and other important things in the mail regarding our home, jobs, livelihood. The carrot keeps being moved just out of our reach and it's incredibly frustrating considering how quick and simple of a process this should have been. It's pathetic how slow and inaccessible USPS in Medford is and it's absolutely laughable that Medford has just the one single post office. Plan ahead and start working with the post office before you even sign your lease otherwise you may wait weeks/months for your mail too! Use a vacation day at work (if you have those) to get your business sorted because I can guarantee they won't even remotely try to accommodate you at the post office while the annex is just a slow extension of USPS - even if they can accommodate you, you'll still wait far longer than necessary. read more

I received an order 0f medical supplies from a supplier; right on schedule; however, when I attempted to remove the box from my mail receptacle I could not get it out of the box - I had to tear the end out of the box to get the product. This is not the first time this has happened. The letter carrier stuffed the box (which barely fit on his side) into my box; but unfortunately, the opening on the tenant side is 1/2" smaller than on the carrier side - therefore, it will not come thru on the tenant side. We have several parcel lockers at this address, there is no excuse for the carrier to put a box of this size in my box. I called the local post office and was referred to the carrier supervisor number - I got a message (the mailbox is full and cannot accept calls at this time) the second number rings and no body answers it. I let it rings numerous times and it finally hangs up. My problem is; the item I received was the wrong item and I need to return it - therefore I need the box that is stuck in my mailbox!! read more
