This post office is a big branch in Midlothian behind sycamore square! It was really busy when we came, the large parking lot was full and the lines were long, but surprisingly the line moved fast. I mailed several cards and letters at the drop off inside, but I am dismayed that most post offices no longer have outside mailboxes. Bummer. There was a large greeting card selection here, as well as a well stocked shipping and mailing supply wall. The service was efficient. Posted was the pricing for post boxes, which I haven't seen at many post offices. read more

The USPS employees are super friendly every time I go in! Very convenient to everything in Midlothian.

An item was dropped off at this USPS by UPS 6 days ago and still hasn't been delivered to my customer. Meanwhile I don't get paid.

I'm not really sure I've ever experienced a post office that cared less about anything than this post office. I have had the Sycamore Square location as my home post office for more than 6 years now. In that time I've seen the people that work there behind the counter just be as nasty as you can imagine. I've been flat lied to and when I call them on it, the reply I get is "I don't know what to tell you. File a complaint." Mail delivered to the wrong address on a daily basis, I've been in my new home (still using same post office) for less than a month and I've had 1 package that was "delivered" but didn't show up for almost 2 weeks after USPS said it was delivered and 2 other packages that still haven't shown up. If I could give 0 stars, I would. They really just don't care about anything other than collecting a paycheck. I drive 4-5 miles further to go to another PO if at all possible. read more

My box, marked "fragile, contains glass" was delivered today. The mail carrier from this branch dropped it on my front porch with a "thud." My dogs started barking. I thought a limb from a tree had falling on the steps. As soon as I picked up the box, I knew everything inside was broken. I was correct. I was going to do some canning this weekend. I guess not. Never a nice experience going to this USPS location. Every so often there is an employee who is nice, but the majority of the time it seems that the employees are annoyed to be there and it gets taken out on customers. This location loves to turn away packages: - they will assume that a package needs a UN3481 hazard sticker on it when the package does NOT include a battery - they told a nice old man that he couldn't ship his birthday card as a letter because the birthday card plays music when you open it. They said that since the card has lump in it (can't be more than 2mm high) that it wouldn't fit envelope slots and they would need to ship as a package Lastly, they usually only have one person working the counter. read more

The clerk Greg was beyond rude to me. He acted as if he hated his job and resented me being there. Horrible horrible experience.

I've been here before to mail stuff that people buy from me on Poshmark and never had a problem because I literally put it in a priority mail envelope and send it off. All the priority mail stuff and the box to mail it is super convenient, as it is all right when you go into the post office. Today I had to go through the doors after you go into the post office to see the clerk and mail something I was returning. As far as the line it went pretty quick there were actually 4 clerks working. I got up to my clerk and requested to send my package through priority mail... ended up with 2 day mail which was fine. Went to pay for it and I swiped my credit card and she asked to see it after I swiped and she told me that she couldn't take my credit card because I wrote, "CHECK ID". Over the last 8 years or so I put on all my credit cards "CHECK ID" because I had someone steal my credit card before. Long story short I pulled out my ID and she said no I can't take that and instead gave me a sharpie expecting me to sign over my "CHECK ID", at this point I'm like this is ridiculous. Believe it or not I had another credit card that I had no signature or "CHECK ID" on and signed that one and gave it to her. Then she said my card is invalid... so needless to say I'm pretty PO'd at this point... she finally manually entered the card and of course it went through. The moral of the story is, I want to find out if it's policy that the US Post Office does in fact require a signature on the credit card since that was her spiel to me. I think it's bogus... especially if I can provide her my Driver's License. Anyway...that's my story:) read more

The absolute worst customer service. The worker named Greg was so rude to me. With covid conditions all the signs say that no more than 4 people in the lobby but he was only letting 3 people in at a time and I waited till I was in there to let him know if he's going to kick people out then to change the signs, he argued back saying that there were 4 people in there now (me, a woman and her two kids) when in reality he kicked multiple people out and told me three people only before this. He was then eyeing me the entire time I was taping my package. When I finished taping my package and put it on the counter he said "having a bad day?" In a very patronizing way. I responded "nope I'm having a great one!" His attitude was awful. read more

This post office is terrible. I dread having to go in there for any reason. Greg is the absolute worst. He is rude, condescending and disrespectful. He is a public servant, he needs to act like it. In any other business, he would most certainly have been fired for the way he treats customers. read more

It would be really great if you would fix the freaking self service machine. It hasn't worked any of the times I have gone.

Rude and most are brain dead. Filled out a card to have my mail held for 10 days and every day except day 10 it had been delivered. Never seen such incompetence in my life. Thank goodness I do most things online. read more

I was about to send a priority mail with return envelope inside. Therefore, I was asking for a return label with tracking information to be posted on that return envelope (also priority mail). The clerk told me that USPS doesn't have this kind of service and track number can only be entered when the other party sends the mail to me! I was shocked and asked twice, same answer. That clerk did not even bother to ask other clerks for any sort of confirmation. I had to go to another post office for the exactly same service. The 2nd post office I went, the clerk totally understood my request and the whole process took less than 5 minutes! read more

This has got to be THE worst PO location going. Constantly mis-delivered mail, late mail, delivery info wrong... it's a hit or miss if you actually get your mail when they say you will... I support the USPS 100% but this branch needs to get its act together!! read more

I love the look of this neighborhood post office - from the outside. The inside is in need of renovation. The stamp machine had a message that it couldn't sell stamps! The staff absolutely will not open doors 1 minute early even if there are multiple customers in lobby waiting. No greeting or eye contact when you walk in - both ladies behind the counter were on their iPhones. Really? read more

With customer service agents like the man at the counter this last few weeks no wonder the postal service is struggling. I've been mailing packages for 20 plus years and I've never been told I couldn't use their priority tape on my priority package.
