US Post Office - I was standing in the line with my box *drake voice* - Post Offices Near Me - New York, New York

I've been going here for the past three years and the ladies have always had an attitude for no reason. I'm nice to them, never make a fuss about the service or anything and I'm patient but yesterday I got the rudest treatment. Last two times I went to pick up my packages they were just rude and went on about how I wasn't allowed to and I told them my building had told me I could so I ordered a bunch and I wouldn't again and she still went on and on, it literally takes her less than ten seconds to bring the packages to me. The girl with the short red hair said she sent one of my packages back because I didn't pick it up on time but I just checked and it was delivered yesterday and refused by them. I understand customer service is hard but I don't understand the constant unwarranted rudeness. Hope they fix their attitude or hire better employees because no one deserves to have an unpleasant experience every time they go to the post office read more

It's disappointing to see that this particular post office was receiving 4-5 stars at the beginning, and has gone downhill. I had no idea what I was doing as I never had to mail anything out, but the lady helping me was helpful and friendly. As I was proceeding to drop off my mail near the entrance, I had a question and asked the man who was working in that area. He spoke to me in a very disrespectful tone and then proceeded to talk badly about people to other customers. read more

Happy there's a post office in the neighborhood. I dont like the employees aren't nice. (it is the post office what would anyone expect) But I am upset that the self serve station has been down since it basically opened. If they line is long other employees stand and chat with the 2 that are workings and wouldn't dream of opening up the third register .... Either way happy this little place is open. read more

SO HORRIBLE..... I had a $6.70 Pitney Bowes Stamp on my package (it was box) with a ribbon.... The black woman there with black curly hair told me that my stamp is only valid for 24 hours... Since when is a stamp only valid for 24 hours?.... So that means my $6.70 went down the drain? And then she tells me I cannot send my package with the ribbon in it....WHY NOT? Going to this post office got me so upset.... She didn't even bother trying to help me.... First of all, I get returned mail that has the wrong address on it at the office all the time, and I just change the address and put it back into the mail box..... IF MY STAMPS WERE ONLY VALID FOR 24 HOURS, ALL THAT MAIL WOULDVE BEEN RETURNED... People working at post offices act like they are better than everyone, and need to change their attitudes... Cause honey you're working in a post office, we are your customers and we don't need your shit... People like her make people hate the post offices... Its supposed to be a business that helps you, instead all you get is attitude from a old woman and left to carry your package all the way back with you... I will just send everything via FEDEX... The post office is well...the post office. However this on is actually pretty good. They were efficient and knowledgable and actually had a pulse. The only complaint I would have is that it was very slow to wait in line and process everything. However other than that they were actually courteous and competent. The other post office over near wall st to the south is absolutely horrific. I have never meet the most rude and lazy people ever to work in organization over there. It's nice to see this place actually has a good thing going for it. read more

Very nice inside, people inside were vet helpful and even the citizens were pretty nice. I had to wait in a tad but long of a line but it was no biggy. I messed up in my package address and realized it when I left and the clerk kindly gave me my package back and told me to fix it and continued helping her customer and I gave it back and she put it in the bin and still helped her costumer without any conflicts at all! read more

These morons should be closed permanently!!!!!!!!!! My package was sent there with my correct zip code but an idiot put in the wrong bin and sent to this shitty place. I was given three numbers to contact two supervisors to see where my package is bc it was labeled missed shipped and returned supposably to my local post office 10036 not 10038 where it went. I've called since 9am prob 100x it's now 3:15 no one answers. Absolutely no way it takes 5 days to get my package back bc we are both in nyc and still the tracking info isn't Updated. Im livid. Whatever idiot sent it down there needs to be held responsible and reprimanded. read more

Having to come to this post office is my living nightmare every single time. The women who work here are possibly the angriest most unpleasant service workers I have ever met. Each time I come I get an attitude along with a long wait. They aren't helpful and they basically bully people with their condescending attitudes. The whole office needs to be fired, and not re opened until they hire some normal people who understand they are working in customer service industry. read more

Was called a "NASTY WITCH" so there's that. I was trying to send a package to a solider overseas. I have never done this before and wanted to ensure that I was doing it correctly. I left out the address on the customs form because I wanted to verify with the employee that I was putting things on the correct line. Immediately when I began the process I said "I have not done this before and just want to make sure I'm doing it right." She asked me numerous times if everything was filled out and I would try to say I just need to finish the address on the customs form but she wasn't listening then eventually yelled at me for the entire post office to hear that I didn't have everything and I was wasting her time to which again I said, "I haven't done this before I just want to make sure I'm doing it right." She yelled at me that she taped up my box using their tape and they never tape boxes to which I said, "I did not ask you to I have my own tape," and then yelled at me to pay her, which I did, then I took the receipt from her and she said "DON'T SNATCH IT FROM ME YOU NASTY WITCH." I understand how backed up lines can get and that employees do not want someone completely unprepared coming up to them- I made every effort to have everything complete- I even watched a damn YouTube video- I simply wanted to verify one detail and I would think that employees should be willing to assist- especially when I'm supporting military personnel. I also made an effort to go to the post office at a slower time as opposed to rush hour 12:30. This treatment was unbelievable, do not go here if you need any kind of help. read more

A convenient location and rather full-service for its size. However there is only one self-service package machine and it seems to be out of service at least half the time, which results in unnecessarily long counter lines. Maybe a new machine is in order? A stamp vending machine would also be helpful. read more

I was two people in front of a young girl with a cart full of media mail. The whole place heard this entire exchange. I could barley hear what the girl was saying, but we all heard the two clerks. There were three clerks on duty (FYI, they were extremely slow as I was there for over thirty min with sic people ahead of me and their equipment wasn't working) when the one on my left said something like, "{insert name} will you look at YOUR lobby?" To which the clerk on the right said, "It's our lobby!" And both stared at the girl with all the mail. They also yelled at a guy behind her to move his dolly to the side. The clerk who was working with her A. didn't know how to process her cardboard envelops B. She took a long time to figure out how to use her scale and ended up uses the one on the far-left B. Was so rude to the girl I thought the girl was going to cry. The clerk told her it would be fourteen dollars + and needed a custom slip to mail her envelopes, which couldn't have weighed more than a regular envelope, overseas and three dollars for the US...again, two forever stamps would have worked. The girl even had her boss on the phone who told her it was Media Mail to which the clerk refused that it was and was yelling at her. It got to the point that the girl just left with her cart of mail. I really hope she didn't get into trouble or fired from her boss due to the clerks at this office. I left after her and decided to mail my stuff on Sat in my area (not the office) because they were slow, rude, and just plain mean clerks. Perhaps they need to be written up for fired for treating customers like that. I use that location often. This wasn't the first time I have seen them be so rude, but this is the time that I've decided to say something and take my business elsewhere. read more
