USPS SUCKS! They loose items I order and I am sick of packages being delivered late. The tracking system is a joke. Take a look at this missing item's tracking number: RA839411732DE. It went from Germany to NY(where I live) then to LA. LA!? WTF!? The content was a priceless(to me), collectible silver coin. I know that some a-hole @ USPS stole the coin and rerouted the package to LA where it got lost. Here's another one missing so far: 9405510200881411930805 with delivery status: Delivery status not updated! Content: valuable computer parts. They don't 'loose' some crappy items or fail to deliver those commercials, they 'loose' valuable easy-to-sell-after merchandise. Did I write 'loose'? I MEANT STEAL! I hate them for that. read more

I have lived in this neighborhood for many years. The PO was fine. Until the woman (there is a photograph by Miranda K of her below snapped by another customer - black hair, large, hispanic looking) started there. She has SCREAMED at me for no reason, embarrassed me on other occasions and been just plain rude, harsh and uncivil. How anyone can keep a job like this is beyond me. The kind PO gentleman I normally worked with (an African American man) looked over shocked when she screamed at me the first time. It was, as in all cases, totally unwarranted. I could tell he was embarrassed but also scared as he said nothing when I looked at him and told her I'd been coming for many years, and never been spoken to that way (she was new). I assumed she was supervisor b/c he never said anything but his sad eyes said it all. I asked her once, kindly, why she was raising her voice and being rude, and she got ruder. Several times in line, I prayed not to get her and when, unluckily it was she who called me, I tried to make an excuse or do something to go to someone else but she'd call me over and revive her rude routine. I eventually somewhat befriended her, but it was work and she is just a jerk. There is nothing redeeming about her and as a small business owner I can say that 1000% seriously this woman is a crappy employee, a terrible person, abusive to customers, and needs to be FIRED asap. I don't know what's happening in this country that this is normal....Seriously USPS, you do need to meet a minimum standard. read more

What a dump. I wish our opinion matter but as it is governmental institutions- just like in communism era- no one gives a rat's a$$- it's not like the business for them will stop- sadly people need their services and sadly our taxes will still continue funding this disgraceful engine. In any case- I have all the same experiences around Xmas like the previous reviewers. Place is open but no one serving customers. WTH??? Employees rude but that is in every other post office. If they had to work for private firm like the rest of the world does they would be all fired in no time. In any case, I went there again - last week of January- the guy was standing behind the counter, no line, so I asked him if I could get a money order. He said no, only machines work. I asked if I could then get it from the machine- he said no (I knew this obviously). So then I asked again- I said I needed money order and couldn't understand why he was standing there and not serving customers. He just said that they were short staffed and didn't take any orders. Are you kidding me? I almost lost it, so not get too upset I just walked out without a word- I just heard him behind yelling "daaamn" as if he was insulted, because I asked him to do his job. A dump. Great place for just dropping off prepaid packages. It takes about 3 mims to walk in and drop off then leave, no line needed. I would not want to wait on the line, only one or two clerks working with about 20 people on the line. Easy solution is get your shipping label on usps.com then print out the prepaid label, tape the label on the box then go and just drop it off. :) read more

I like this Post Office! It's small, just a few windows, but it gets the job done. They also have APCs. I was in the area on a weekday at lunch and there weren't gigantic lines. Just two people ahead of me. read more

HORRIBLE. You need to speak to the employee - Denise. She loves to smash and damage your package right in front of you while you had it to her. She's extremely rude and I have been to this post office many times and seen her damage packaged while receiving them from customers and then blaming them. read more

I needed to pick up 3 stamps for a co worker. The place is super hot, they need air conditioning. The 5 star review was for the woman behind the counter. You know how postal workers are often rude and ruin your day? This woman was extremely sweet and pleasant. I felt like I was wasting her time standing in line for a few stamps and she was so nice it made my day. read more

If you are in a hurry, this is probably not the post office you want to go to.. specially during the lunch hour when everyone goes to lunch, there is a very long wait line. But you will always get what you want or are looking for, because when you reach the top of the line, the staff focuses solely on you. They are very slow paced. read more

They keep returning my mail to the sender! I've verified with multiple senders that my address was listed correctly, but more and more of my mail keeps getting returned. I've submitted multiple claims online without being answered. I've tried calling many times, and the hold time is always over 30 minutes. I want to go in person, but they're closed on the weekend and only open business hours (when I work all the way uptown). A nightmare! read more

The line is constantly long, and moves very slowly. The staff are rude and unhelpful, clearly hate their jobs. I'm so glad my employer relocated and I no longer have to suffer by using their terrible service. read more

Worst post office I've ever been to. Not only are there too few staff, but the staff they do have have terrible attitudes. They yell at you to have all your forms filled out without bothering to refill the supply of said forms. The place is always disorganized and usually at least one automated kiosk is out of order. read more

The address is wrong. Yes, it is between William and Wall but that's not 1 Hanover Square. I live a block away. That said, I don't have any problems with this PO. They are polite and courteous. Yes there can be a line if you go at predictable times (morning, evening and lunch) but its the PO...come on. I have nothing bad to say about this location except that its hours. read more

Wow the rudest postal staff I have ever encountered, if you are going to ask someone to step aside to fill in their address you must tell the people before me to do the same!! This message is for D.C. Many customers come into the USPS not knowing and understanding the products and services. Due to the lack of staffing, if there was a lobby director in the lobby, perhaps customers would not have to "step away". We have a hard job. We care about our job, despite what many of you may think. I respect your opinion, but don't agree. We do the best we can everyday with no support from the NY Postmaster, or anyone under him. We realize the lines are long, but believe me we wish it was not this way. Yes we have some rude employees who should not be servicing customers, and believe me it is addressed. But we are under a different kind of pressure that only a postal employee can understand. The next time any of you step into the USPS, understand that a majority of us do care about you, but we have employees in higher positions who DO NOT care about you or post offices around the country. read more
