First, I come to their shipping counter as before, very clean and well maintained, and placed my packages upon said counter. One lady on duty, on the other side of the area, who appeared to be doing laminating work. Focused on her work, I get that, yet oblivious to the fact that she had a customer. A "We'll be right with you, sir!" was all that was required. But nothing. When I finally did get her attention she asked if I was shipping packages, a fact that to me was obvious, but I told her I was and she assured me I'd be taken care of soon. As I stood and continued to wait I saw a man coming my way, thin build with a beard. And the rudest staff member I ever encountered. No greeting, asked me what I wanted, no "How may I help you?" as other Staples do. I told him trying to break the ice, with my hands on the packages, "I want these to go away." Then he demonstrated why he'll never have a better job than this, he asked me if I want to ship the packages. I told him "Yes" with just an edge of impatience to my voice. Then he said what he never should have said, "How am I supposed to know that??" So I explained, "I'm here at the UPS counter, I have packages with UPS labels, two plus two equals ..... " He told me with the same rude tone that he'd be back and I knew he wouldn't, I saw him speaking to two others, one I presumed to be the manager, if he hadn't been busy I'd have brought this to his attention. Finally the lady had a break from her work and more politely checked in my packages and gave me my tracking info. Anyone who wants to do business with this store, you're welcome to them.

When delivered, my recipient was asked to pay $28 to receive it because it had been shipped "COD." I called this location to ask for an explanation, and they said that there is nothing they can do because that's just how Canada is. I explained that I had said when I shipped it that I absolutely did not want it shipped COD (and I paid over $40 for shipping myself), and they said that there is nothing they can do. I have shipped packages to Canada for 25 years. This never happened with USPS or FedEx. When I shipped through a different UPS Store previously, I told them the same thing about paying all charges up front and did not have a problem. So, my own thoughts from this experience is that this location either 1. does not know about customs fees, or 2. they know about them but don't know how to charge them to the shipper so they just lied to me to get the sale. Either way, this was a very bad experience. I won't be using this location ever again, and I may avoid UPS entirely in the future.

HORRIBLE!!! Three times now I've had a package that requires a signature indicate failed delivery…read morebecause I wasn't home and ended up picking the package up. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but this is nuts. I called customer service yesterday and they assured me it was marked as being their fault and it'd be delivered. Today it was allegedly on the truck at 1 am and out for delivery, then at 1 pm it indicated failed delivery because I didn't answer the door. Someone was home the entire time and there is no video from my ring camera of them being here. Called customer service and they said they'd get back to me. Two hours later and nothing. Never going to use a business that ships with FedEx again.
