OMG where do i begin? 1st problem, ordered a cd from amazon, it was returned for "error/omission" i contacted qc p.o. they said it was probably a sticker placed over the add, thats usually what happens (but no definite answer) the guy who sent it emailed me a pic of returned cd... i didnt see any obstruction where u couldnt read the address?!? now I have to pay shipping again?! since that day i have not been able to get a hold of janet on the # she called from, been calling 480-888-2214 for 4 days, busy EVERY time u call, called qc city hall they gave me 888-0551 just rings & rings. We constantly get mail in our box for nearly everyone ELSE on our street! We'll also go days without anything in the box and then suddenly it's stuffed one day. And never use the 'outgoing' mail slot in our subdivision, as anything put in there goes straight into a black hole. Anyone moving to Queen Creek should be ready to deal with the incompetent mail service and post office. The people at the counter are ok (except one who was flummoxed when asked to mail an international package addressed in the destination's text - only the country name has to be in English, but he wasn't aware of that) but once your package leaves the counter and goes to the back, it's a toss of the dice where it goes from there. And of course anyone sending anything to anyone in Queen Creek should know it may, or may not, get there. read more

I have had multiple business checks go missing in a short span of time. Nobody is available to speak with that can help me out and not one person seems to care. This is a complete and utter lack of competency and care on full display with this government entity. It's no wonder why they lose money at the expense of the tax payers year after year. I wish they would privatize the system and bid it out to other, more capable entities who would hire people able to provide good customer service. I mailed my Christmas packages a week before, the line went super fast and all workers were very helpful, professional and had a keen customer service attitude. My packages made to my destination before Christmas as promised ... Today, they went beyond the call of duty for me doing something that they didn't have to and I very much appreciate it. Well, what can one say about the USPS... it can be spotty location to location... and even spotty at the same location. But my first experience w this USPS location was fabulous! One clerk hunted around for a Priority Bubble envelope, and another fetched my held mail for me. I came in on a Saturday at around 11:30a (an hour after they opened). Plenty of parking spaces. Virtually no line. Happy helpful clerks. What else could one want? I asked if it was always this easy, and the clerk replied that when the doors opened at 10:30a, there was a line out the door. If I didn't have to leave one star, I wouldn't! Absolutely terrible. I receive updates/ pictures on my mail online . I have seen THREE letters from the IRS come first I didn't get at all, reportedly. No one did anything. Next was OPEN already! And third was also open. Those letters have very sensitive info. Maybe I should just call the police. The other thing was our employers important insurance information with sensitive information. It looked important and that too was in a closed thick manilla envelope. In the picture. Lately packages that are to be delivered to my door by USPS have been getting returned to sender. I went in to my local post office to address the issue. As soon as I got in line I was greeted by their lead clerk who was able to pull me aside and assist me right away. She took down the tracking number, pulled up the information, and put together a document that would go to a supervisor in hopes to fix the issue. Lately, the Indoor Mail Package Cart is pulled before the 5PM DEADLINE by overly zealous Postal Workers so even if you drop your packages off a few minutes before 5PM, there is a 50/50 chance they might not get shipped that day. In other words, it is unfair that the Post Office does not wait until it is actually 5PM before gathering up ALL dropped off packages. People are counting on being able to mail off their packages same day, especially if they drive long distances to arrive at the post office amid congested traffic. It is no fun being mocked by workers because you are deemed too late even when you drop off your packages before 5PM! Moreover, it is VERY FRUSTRATING driving there knowing it all depends upon whether or not the workers feel like pulling the packages out earlier than 5PM!!! Your best bet if you want your packages to go out same day is to get there no later than 4:30PM! After that, chances of a same day shipping are slimmer and slimmer. This Post Office does ship out FAST for the lucky ones who get there way before 5PM! read more

I absolutely agree that the only reason this place gets 1 star is because 0 is not an option! Love it! I have stood in the lines. I have dealt with the incompetence and frustration. I have received opened mail! Also, has anyone else here had their envelopes partially torn open. This has been happening awhile. I thought it might be the machines that sort but then, I received a gift card that was fully opened. The only thing that saved us was that there was a second envelope. The second envelope was one that was ... RETURNED TO SENDER ... One of my 'favorites' from the QCPO was when they "ran out of stamps" and told me to go to the QT. I am not exaggerating. The place is insane. My most recent and horrible incident sounds similar to the gentleman who ordered something on Amazon. We also ordered a gift online through a retailer. We were told the item was returned to sender due to invalid address. We checked the address, it was correct. We checked with the main office to validate the address and file a complaint. 1-800-ASK-USPS They validated our address was correct. We used San Tan Valley, AZ 85142... since the name of the area and zip code changed a couple years ago from Queen Creek. The QC PO relayed a message to the USPS that the correct address is Queen Creek.The package was marked San Tan Valley... because that is our address! The next day, we discovered from tracking that the package was "returned to sender" because "Moved, left no address." Interesting because Friday, we put up our Christmas lights. My SUV needs work and was in the driveway all week and we have been receiving mail since April ish. In fact, we received mail that day. I called the USPS and the USPS verified that both addresses (STV and QC) are correct, valid and the zip code is correct. My question to the USPS was "Who is Queen Creek post office to say we moved? I never put in a change of address. Our addresses match the Dept of Motor Vehicles. What kind of craziness is this?" Still not resolved. We are just using Fed Ex now. So, when we first moved to this house (we have lived here for over 5 years in STV), our mail came and then stopped. I went to the post office to see why. It turns out that the person who does our route decided she wanted to stop it and since we didn't fill out the little checkbox form she sent, she did. Well, we started receiving our mail, so what was the point of filling out the checkbox form - especially when I had changed my address online and with the post office by filling out several forms for myself and my children. It's really insane. Something needs to be done about this craziness. I have heard other people in line complaining about similar situations - especially snowbirds. Here is the most insane part of it all... my mother in law worked at the Queen Creek Post office until 2005. (Sure, they have a new building but some same staff.) Yeah. I was very pleased with the service I received from the operator who took my call about a question i had about a delivery. he told me he would call my carrier and find out the issue. he called me back in two minutes with the information, so my mind was put at ease. The only reason that this place gets 1 star is because ZERO STARS is not an option. Dear god, I nearly have a stroke out of frustration every time I ATTEMPT to deal with place. Once I put my mail on hold for vacation, and they lost it for TWO weeks after I returned and went in to pick it up. I've also had items stolen out of my package and then had my package taped back up. And, now I'm trying to track down the second package they have lost in the last 6 months. I have been calling them for the last two days and letting it ring for 5 MINUTES, hanging up, and calling again and letting it ring for another 5 minutes, and then I repeat again for a total of 15 minutes. I have done this no less than 6 times in the past two days and NO ONE HAS ANSWERED THE PHONE! It's no wonder the post office is going bankrupt. I consistently get other people's mail, from several streets away. I've watched the mailman drive up and just throw mail into the mailbox without getting my outgoing mail even though my flag was up. DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE! YOU WERE WARNED! I have had numerous items "stolen". Incoming and outgoing. The biggie- I shipped a box to an e-bay customer. Dropped the package off myself, handed it to the clerk. My customer receved the box ripped open and EMPTY! The Post Office put a big red stamp across the box stating "received this way". Uh, no I dropped it off and it was in tact. I lost a lot of money and someone at the Post office made out BIG! I can go on and on about mail that has been opened with missing gift cards. Last night, I was supposed to receive a package. Tracking said they attempted to deliver and left a note on what to do. Now, this package was a 15.00 item, no signature required AND it will fit in my mailbox. I was home, no attemp to ring my doorbell, NO NOTE as the tracking site indicated. This is my local post office. Cons: -Slow service and long lines almost always (compared to 2 or 3 others I frequent). -They do not know much about shipping international. Several times I would ask questions such as how to complete the customs form when I have the address (i.e. not knowing which part of the foreign address goes where on the form since their addresses are formatted differently than ours) and they always say they have no idea. -No quick post machines. I often go to one in Chandler where you can do most of what you can do at the counter at a handy little machine in minutes and you're on your way. I was quite surprised that such a new building would not carry something like this - or not even a stamp dispenser? -The greatest con (which I don't know if it's appropriate to say here) is that I get various neighbor's mail in my box all the time - average once a week- including bank statements etc! It makes me wonder who's getting any of my sensitive mail. : / Pros: Workers are usually nice and the manager seems interested in helping move things along and talking to the people in line. read more

We moved to Queen Creek a few months ago and since, I receive neighbors mail in my mailbox and for the 2nd time, the mailman leaves a locker key in my box but nothing in the locker!!! My shipping tracking number says, "delivered". The question is, where did he deliver my package to this time. Times like this, especially Christmas, I rely on these people to get it right. Terrible, terrible, terrible...which sucks because the people are very friendly but no matter what I send off, regardless if it is a birthday card or package, it either disappears or takes over a week to get anywhere, I work at a farm, a friend of mine wanted zucchinis to make bread with, she cant find them as big as we grow them..I went there packaged up a huge box of them..they even helped me box them up, tape them and everything, sent them off on a Friday, said expected delivery on that following Monday...its been over week, still no zucchinis at my friends house and nobody seems to know where the box is in transit NOBODY. I am infuriated and confused and my friend is without an amazing gift I sent to her and her family and now if it ever arrives I'm sure they are rotten by now. I've lived in Queen Creek off and on (mainly on) since 1999 and this is the absolute worst postal service I've ever had the opportunity to deal with. Mail has been CONSTANTLY delivered to the wrong address, so much so that I have all my neighbors numbers stored so I can ask if they received my mail. They often do; other times it's simply gone. Every attempt to resolve this issue with either the drivers themselves or the post office employees has been met with nothing short of vitriol and ineptitude. They currently have my package in a parcel locker, but they left a note neither in my mailbox nor on my door telling me this. I only discovered it after calling all my neighbors, digging through my property with a flashlight, and going through the details of the tracking information to see that it's in a locker. The kicker: the lockers are only open from 9-5 or, you know, the EXACT hours 90% of people work, so my options are to either take an extremely long lunch or go in to work late to accomplish what UPS and FedEx do correct every single time. Missing deliveries. Earlier in the year, a shipment of ear buds from Phoenix Amazon to Queen Creek were lost. Showed as out for delivery but never delivered or confirmed. amazon sent replacement which did arrive. Last week,I purchased friom a Queen Creek internet business to my Queen Creek residence. USPS sent me a nice mail saying delivered to my mailbox (which is locked in HOA). Never received. whether honest mistakes or somnething else, too unreliable for my money. It's FedEx or UPS only. On Thursday afternoon of January 13, I went to mail a manila envelope to a small town in Washington state and handed an envelope with a check to the IRS, which had to be dated by the 15th. While she was weighing the envelope she laid the letter to the IRS at an angle under the scale. I was getting my money out of my purse, so looking again I saw the envelope was gone thinking she had thrown into the mail bag to go out never said anything. Big mistake. That check has not gone through the bank and you know the IRS, they do that very quickly. So now we will be charge interest for late payment and I am furious. Is that under the scale. I have to make another 10 mile trip to ask and find out. We are all stressed out enough these days and this is uncalled for. I don't care how busy they are. read more

I think this office is getting a lot better with their service. They have somebody there just for people who are picking up parcels..that really helps with the line. I don't think people realize that they can also use the automated shipping service inside the post office. I do my shipping labels from home when I ship priority, but other services I use the auto shipping in the post office. Overall, they are definitely getting the message and have been manning the counters full time (at least lately). Crossing fingers! read more

I am so F*****g fed up with this postal service I'm about to go postal! The mail isn't even delivered in a USPS vehicle or a USPS marked vehicle. Always a random van, truck or whatever else drives in and looks like it came out of the junk yard. I'm constantly receiving mail or packages that aren't mine when I'm expecting them to be... where'd mine go I have no idea. Then I have to take my neighbors their things. WTF!? To tell you readers i orders a item through amazon which never got to my mail box. the order was confirmed delivered maybe that was the case but not to my mail box which it a lock box since I'm a homeowner in a location HOA where we have locked mail boxed for secure reasons. where is the security of that if I'm not getting my mail. this has been a months time that the post office was doing a investigation so they say . i have never got a phone call back i call and talk to the post office and needless to say they were always going to call or the response it i was just going to call you . well problem still is an issue i still do not have my package or and response from the post office in queen creek. the package has not been returned to amazon or the supplier where i bought my item .
