My packages that get sent here so often are mis-sorted and sent to another shipping center in some state like Texas instead of to my address IN THAT AREA. Why can't you do something simple like sort local mail into "out for delivery " instead of sending them to another state? Good lord. I have had issues with home delivery. Instead of fixing the problem the postmistress decided that she could just cancel package delivery to my home. She would not deign to speak to me directly as I requested. There are good people that work at USPS in Queen Creek but problem resolution is a very, very weak point and needs to be addressed. Employees somehow managed to cancel my informed delivery just to make a point I assume. I have to wait to figure out what mail is coming my way until I am able to re-apply for this. I can't see why ups and fedex is better to deal with. They just love to make it inconvenient to ship something. Oh and if anyone needs to know, make sure you print out your label somewhere else cause they somehow can't do it. For someone who doesn't have a printer that's super inconvenient. They need to stock the lobby with priority mail boxes of all sizes, envelopes too same goes for express. It is absolutely no good to have a self service option in the lobby then not keep the supplies stocked. It truly cannot be that hard for one person to check it daily. I now have to come back tomorrow, take time off work to get a priority box and mail my item. Part of truly be dedicated to "Public Service" as the plaque on the outside wall states is supplying the items the public needs to mail their packages. read more

I had an amazing customer service experience with Scott! I had a package that was sent to me short postage. When I got to the post office I was lucky enough to have Scott as the person who helped me. He searched for the missing package, went above and beyond and couldn't find it. He texted me updates and what all he had done. Amazing! Today the package resurfaced and AFTER his shift he dropped it off at my door! Wow! What an amazing thing to do! 5 stars for Scott and his customer service level!!! read more

Honestly this is the worst usps to go to. They're rude also I wanted to email the receipt not print and she didn't even give me a chance to click email and then she said well you can just take a picture of the receipt. I don't like this post office at all. The parking lot is a total mess. People constantly coming and going. I can't tell you how many times I've nearly gotten hit. Most of the employees rush you, are impatient and rude. I was mailing some packages for my wife that were international and I wanted first class with tracking. The worker made it so obvious how my requests were such a pain the ass and messing up her day. It's like, "uh? Isn't this what you're getting paid 25-35 bucks an hour for?" It's a lot like the DMV. I've never really cared for government employees because they're normally rude and they know that because of their union, that they won't get fired. There is one tall black guy Mike that is always nice, laughing and smiling, but the rest of them seem so miserable. read more

Every time I try to use the self service kiosk in the lobby there's issues. Either the machine is down or after purchasing the postage the package drop box is locked. Why even have a self service kiosk if one can't use it?! Nothing like making multiple trips to the post office to mail a package. Literally the worst! My package was out for delivery but never showed up... 6 days later still no answers. No one has even called me back . Apparently it disappeared into thin air. The driver either stole it, or delivered it to someone else and never scanned it. I've had tipsy make up bags stolen also. Im so disappointed in this post office. read more

Excellent fast friendly service. Went in for a general delivery item. Was in and out in 5 minutes. Many times it is the grumpy customers that make going to the post office a horrible experience. Once a particular supervisor left, this office became more efficient. Keep up the good work, keep wearing those smiles and maybe, just maybe your customers will respond to you in kind. I sent out invitations (50) and only 27 were delivered! I sent a birthday card with a money order and it never got there! You call to complain and there's nothing they can do because it wasn't insured! I got my money back for the money order because it was a postal money order! But they charged $5.95 to refund the money value! This is one of the worst post offices in town! Take your mail to the UPS store, so you know it will get to the proper destination! read more

Simply worthless! Where do I even begin? If you look at the 2000 US Census and see Queen Creek with a population of 4316 and again in 2006 with a population of 20,818, the rational person might think if these folks want to mail letters, we might need more than 2 representatives at a time and maybe stay open longer than 12-2 on Saturday. My trip today took 37 minutes waiting in line... The building is small and unnoticeable unless you are looking for it - then they have weird hours, especially the 2 hour Saturday operation. Here's a quick clue- if you can find a parking spot, they are closed. I showed up today at 11:30 and rejoiced at the ability to find a parking spot. See above...they were closed. I left and ran some errands in the area, returning at 12:10 - just 10 minutes past opening. As I walked in the door, I noted the lobby was full and it wrapped down the hall way and turned down another hall. Really? That many people in just a few minutes? Of course there were only 2 workers, so that helped the delay. While continuing with negative thoughts in my mind and watching the unsupervised children running around, screaming and playing with the PO Boxes while the mom didn't care. My only source of amusement while waiting in a line of more than 50 people was the number of people who came in after me. I counted 5 who walked in, looked around and said "Jesus!"...others looked forward to the October day when the new post office opens. Besides the operation hours, the constant line of people regardless of the time and the horrible parking situation is the limited supplies. If they are closed, you would think there would be a nice stash of labels, envelopes and forms in the outside lobby so that customers could complete their mailing ahead of time. That would speed up the line. No. The only thing in the lobby was a stack of fliers promoting the upcoming appearance of Phil Vasser at the performing arts center. That was the reason I had an errand to run - I needed to buy an envelope so I could complete the mailing. Otherwise there is a tricky traffic jam between the people holding the door open, then releasing to let people out, only to grab it again...and the people coming in needing supplies. They walk inside to locate the envelope and labels while the rest of the lobby stares them down to make sure they do not cut in front of the massive line. Combine this with the mail delivery that sucks - wrong address, inconsistent times - just general suck-ass-iness... This place and its service just plain sucks. Glad I do not mail many items, but I will be glad when the new facility opens. Hopefully it is better! read more

I've been lacking in sleep a lot lately, so going to the post office has become an arduous task. The mail i've been getting lately mostly consists of IKEA and other furniture catalogs which I have become addicted to. If I see something clever like a coffee table in the shape of a yin-yang, I have to have it. Like the Johanneshov armchair in the Strinne green stripe pattern or the Rislampa wire lamps of environmentally-friendly unbleached paper. Even the Vild hall clock of galvanized steel, resting on the Klipsk shelving unit. Which one of these things define me as a person? When will I be complete? I had a large box of home made soap (which has become exceedingly popular on Etsy) to send out and I came to the post office hoping the shipping cost wouldn't be abhorrent. Looking around, everyone had a droning dead look in their eyes. Lines of people just waiting to get back to more misery. Staring at the back of each others' heads and wondering if that person sold their dreams to the lowest bidder just like them. Even the air didn't want to be there. And this is how I met Tyler Durden. I approached the counter and Tyler immediately grabs the box from my hands and looks me in the eyes. Suddenly the beige walls around me started to get smaller. "Who would you fight if you had the choice?" It was like jumping into ice water on the sun. My eyes shot awake and I looked around to see if anyone else just heard what he said. Nobody even glanced away from their phone. "Excuse me?" I laughed nervously. "Cmon man, just answer the question. Have you even been in a fight?" My laugh faded. "I just want to know how much it will cost to send this package. It has to be there in two days latest. Now can you help me with that or not"? Tyler didn't miss a beat. Well the new post office in Queen Creek open last week and I have to say the office and ground are nice. But there is still this very big problem. THE SERVICE & PEOPLE who work there must be the slowest people in AZ. I gave them the benefit in old post office due to the size that must be some of problem, but no it is not. A couple of months ago I ordered a $500+ camera lens and they mailed it to the wrong address. Conveniently, the usual mail carrier went on vacation the next day so I had to wait 5 days for them to come back. Then they said they were going to ask the person they gave my lens to if they still have it by putting a note in their mailbox. I called back several times to find out if they got it back, but no resolve. Thankfully, I got refunded from the company I ordered the lens from. No thanks to the post office. Someone got a free lens out of the deal and it wasn't me. Fast forward to today: I moved, filled out 3 different cards to forward my address. Three weeks goes by, and still no mail. My boyfriend went into the post office to find out the hold up. They had the 3 cards I filled out in with our mail they put on hold and never entered it into the system. My boyfriend had to fill out the same 3 cards again for some reason. Now, 4.5 weeks later, I'm still not getting mail. My boyfriend is, but I'm not. I went in to the post office to find out why. The lady at the counter told me it takes a while before you get mail and then it'll all come at once. I said it's been a month! Isn't that crazy? She said no, not for them. I've moved way more than the average person moves, this isn't my first rodeo. Never has a change of address taken this long! A week, maybe. Never a whole freaking month! Finally I get a ringing at around 4pm and it goes to the after-hours answering system.... which should be kicked on around 5pm.. NOT 4PM! What is the damn point of these people. This should be a negative star. They said a package was delivered, but I am unable to locate package. They said it went into the community box but this package won't fitin that box nor was it delivered to my door because I was home with the door open all day waiting. I continually get the wrong mail. This has been an ongoing issue with the Queen Creek post office since we have lived here over the last 16 years. Today, I went to get my mail, only to find out I have all of my next door neighbor's mail. Not one piece of the mail is ours. This leads me to wonder which one of my neighbors received my mail. I called the QC post office several times, only to get a busy signal each time. I can only hope that whichever neighbor got my mail will bring it to me, as I will take my neighbors' theirs. I've lived in San Tan Valley for exactly 17 days. Officially changed my address in the system. For some reason, I still have not received a package from my father from Texas sent well over a week ago (received one from him the first week I was here) My daughter ordered something from Amazon in Florida. It arrived in San Tan Valley at 10:30 a.m. on January 18 but the tracking noted "incorrect address". Um, the address WAS correct. So it made it's way back to Queen Creek a couple of hours later where it sat till 5:30 the next day, where then it was noted "customer moved". Now it's on it's way back to Florida. The customer service rep confirmed my new address is in the system and she didn't know why it was sent back. Now I'm also wondering where the package from my father went. The worst customer service I have ever encountered. Man on the phone was rude, abrasive, and insulting all within a 5 minutes phone call. If you do not enjoy customer service QUIT YOUR JOB instead of making others miserable with your negative attitude. Maybe try a computer job that requires little to no human interaction since it doesn't occur to you to be empathetic when someone is tracking down something as important as their mail. After explaining the situation I was in he continued to cut me off and speak over me then proceeded to mock me. Ive lived in the Valley 14 years now and this part of the Phoenix area has to be the very worst postal service I have ever encountered. The after hours lobby is never stocked with adequate postal supplies. Priority mail envelopes or boxes or change of address forms and the kiosk has been down several times and often they lock the mail drop. Its an 8 mile drive just to get there so its very irritating. And more than just a few times Ive had a notice to sign for a package and I have filled it out and signed everything to redeliver the package and put that in the mailslot as I was directed to do by the carrier and at this current time Ive discovered that I have a package somewhere out there that was never redelivered since June 10th! Those are the major problems in my opinion. I could go on but there isnt much point in that. read more

The staff here compared to where I am from (IL) are SO HAPPY and friendly. They always greet with a smile, have little conversations with you, and when I asked why they were always so nice, they said it's because we have more sunshine here in AZ. LOL! The best thing ever happened to me, though. My mom sent overnight mail to my son for his 16th birthday. When I got our mail from our box at home, there was no package! I went to the post office immediately right before closing time and they searched and searched for it to no avail...so the SUPERVISOR followed me home and opened 2 mail box covers to check all the boxes. He found it! It was in the wrong box. That's true service right there, to not only go with me to my home but also after they closed. I will be forever grateful. Great awesome service!!! read more

The people working here and for here hate their jobs and let it show. If you need help with anything or have a problem, it just upsets them and they become nasty. I stood in line for 20 minutes and they said my box was not shut enough and needed to be taped more but could not tape it or provide tape. I had to leave, go buy tape and get back in line. Think he was nice about it? No. My mail was not checked for a week and I got a notice they will not deliver my mail and I need to go to post office within ten days. I could not get there and called multiple times, different numbers and never got through. Held for two hours one day just to be hung up on. When I went on the 11th day explaining my struggles, the clerk said "well we are busy" and also they already got rid of my mail and I had to fill out a form and put in the mailbox and wait to resume normal delivery. Also my carrier, might skip a day, come after 8pm, 3 times he dropped off certified mail that required signature, rings the doorbell and runs. I've seen him from Upstairs do this and while I'm trying to chase him down. He does not wait 10seconds for you to come to door, just puts a notice he missed you and now you have to go to the lovely post office to pick up your mail. Good reminder why nobody wants government run businesses. read more

Terrible. Had years worth of problems. Mail not delivered, delivered to wrong address, postal employee speeds through the neighborhood, and is extremely unfriendly. I guess long gone are the days that you personally get to know your postal delivery person or they at least be pleasant. I worry when things are delivered by usps that I won't get it based on the whimsy of our delivery driver that day. I've complained. This office doesn't seem to care. I've complained to the post master general. Things got better for awhile, but it slipped back to typical problems. Sad indeed. read more
