The Ramona post office is the best USPS office I've worked with. I've had maybe two incorrectly delivered items in 5 years, and both were resolved quickly. They made getting a passport relatively easy, and I usually don't wait very long in line if I need to talk to someone. I have never needed a P.O. Box, but the lobby is large and clean and always has empty Priority Mail boxes if I need some. read more

Employee stated they were under staffed so walk-ins could take time and suggested that I make an appointment but the staff was so kind and accommodating to let me have a passport walk in services as I had all my paperwork in hand and ready to go. Amazing staff - we walked in and were immediately greeted by the staff behind the counter. We told them we were renewing passports and they got the associate to help us. Paolo was extremely helpful and courteous while processing our children's passport renewals. He was very friendly when taking our kids pictures. All the services we received were top notch! They charged me a year for a P.O. Box and then Forwarded my mail to another person. I caught them two times blocking off my mail box for no reason . They sent my nephews present to another person and my drivers license. The people at this location cannot be trusted. The answer they gave me was to talk to the sender. Sender wants 60 percent of the order. So I get to spent 160% to get my orders. Don't trust the Ramona post office. read more

One worker was outwardly rude to me when I walked up. I don't know if it's because I had so many packages to be mailed (and use previously shipped boxes - I like to recycle!) or because I was dressed for comfort but her ton with me and how she assisted me was night and day from the customers that came after me. If Ramona wasn't such a small town and I knew I had another option for a post office up here I would have said something - that's how snippy she was. THANKFULLY I had some filling out to do and stepped aside for it. The lady who helped me next (Lety Ann?) was an angel. I had made a few mistakes on my paperwork (international mailing; it's been a long time since I filled it out and there was a fire two miles from my house today during all those devastating fires in LA - it's understandable) and she handled everything with such kindness and grace when she could have easily sent me away to fix everything. Then, when she realized the package was going to be $150 she let me know and asked if I still wanted to send it even though she had typed so much in. She didn't make me feel awful for saying I'd like to wait. (I'm actually headed out that way in a month so may as well just pack it!). It's been a really stressful week for us all and I appreciated the softness and assistance she gave me. I needed it! Shame on the other woman who found a reason to judge me and be so curt. We're a small town and you'd think/hope we could come together during times like this but not her!! read more

The management of this post office is corrupt . The postmaster took down an injury report and never submitted it to Margaret Sellers . I learned his " wife " worked for the saftey division over there . I had heat exhaustion and a shoulder injury on duty . The postmaster promised to give me a good reference for another job if I signed a paper to leave his post office . He lied . I also was never paid UI . Corrupt read more

Carriers won't even leave packages in the drop boxes for my address, I regularly have to go into the post office for small boxes that could easily fit inside the drop box. Their carrier dropped off mail to the old owner of my house, and I left it in the mailbox with a large note on it, and they just shoved mail on top of it. This led the post office to hold, and seemly lose my package. After wait 45 minutes, they were able to find it, and complain about needing the packages delivered that I left for the carrier to take back. Probably the Worst mail delivery I deployed on ships in the Navy that were serviced by mail ships. read more

Friendly staff, clean environment. Here are a few concerns: Very high P.O. Box rental costs, frequent lost packages, damage to large boxes and for some reason, packages they will not fit into my medium sized P.O. Box just get left behind the counter rather than put in an "after hours box". The Ramona post office is quite large, it boasts A LOT of after hour lock boxes but for some reason employees do not like to use them. Most often I do not make it to the post office during business hours due to my work schedule, I did call and politely ask that they utilize their lock boxes. If I do happen to reach the post office while their open, lines are long. Out of the six months I have had a P.O. Box at this location, three times I have received a "delivered" notification that a package has arrived but was not set out for pick up. I had family mail a rather large package to me a few months ago and I had to use a cart to take it to my truck because it was nearly destroyed and I could not pick it up without contents falling out.
