Gotta love the USPS. Since before Christmas, our mail suddenly stopped coming between the usual times of 10am to 5pm and began to arrive sometime after 10pm, if at all! I figured Christmas mail was screwing up the delivery times. Turns out that is not the case. According to a few of our substitute carriers, our regular carrier has sort of "retired". Basically, he's got a serious amount of sick leave accrued so he's still an employee, but doesn't have to show up for work. This leaves our area without a designated carrier until his sick leave runs out and/or someone new is hired and assigned to our location. I created a "ticket" to complain. Got a boilerplate response thanking me for creating this ticket. Never heard from anyone at the post office until this morning when I got an email telling me that my issue had been "resolved". Hmmm...Really? You know what their "resolution" was? They suggested I get a PO box so that I could pick up my mail whenever I felt like it. Now, isn't that wonderful! The rest of their response was the typical boilerplate bullshit that never addressed the problem nor what they had done to resolve it. I have a phone number for a guy. I'll be talking to him soon. I don't expect much of an answer from anyone in an institutional entity like the USPS, but I'm going to try. read more

Came in here with just some questions about my mail forwarding. They were answered. Everyone at the counter was so nice and apologized for any wait time. (Which there wasn't.) All I have to say is to the people who were so rude to the employees there, have some damn patience and respect!! They are working so hard and never once raise their voices when you made rude and snarky comments. Example: I had actually been waiting a decent while, not too long. Then a guy came in probably 5 people that were behind me... gets to be my turn finally. He gets told I'll be right with you because this young lady has been waiting (me) he tried to cut in front of me.. his response... "well what the hell ive been waiting!!!) mind you he's like 50 at least. I'm 25, and know to have more respect and can handle myself in public. Had to mail my packages for the holiday and can I just say based on the parking lot thought I was in trouble or going to walk into a zoo and let me just say it was just the opposite several people asked if I needed help got in line waited maybe five minutes tops and I was done! The employees (especially the women) are extremely rude here. I bring in pre-paid labels a lot here, and I always have to deal with their snarky tones. All I need to do is drop it off on the counter. I don't even wait in line and I still get spoken to with an attitude. It has to stop! Please hire better employees. It ruins my experience here every time. read more

Evening of Sunday 9-10-17 I went into post office lobby to use the self mail kiosk. It was hot outside; inside much more hot. Too hot to stay inside; try; think. I started my transaction but became confused. I'm Type 2 Diabetic; felt very ill. Supplies weren't available; I had to quickly decide to leave. Next day I went in; female employee had a stand by the entrance. I explain to her; she said no way they could cool that area. She quickly wrote down a phone number that she says is for postmaster. This is a review not of this specific place but the usps in general. I am completely distraught at how terrible they are. My package needed to be somewhere by the end of the week, so I paid extra for priority mail which is 2-3 days... well I'm on my 5th day and now the person I am mailing to isn't there anymore. I am trying to ship it back to myself but They make it impossible to contact an actual person to help me out. My customers call me asking where their packages are, and what can I tell them? The Post Office didn't even scan the label so it makes me look bad. This place is a disaster every time I go in there. The workers all seem to hate their jobs and act like it might kill them to smile or be nice to someone. An elderly lady came to pick up her mail and it was in one of those big white containers. It was really full so I'm guessing it might have been a bit too heavy for her, when she asked the guy to help her carry it to her car he just stared at her like he didn't speak English. Lame. A lot of confusion with renting a P.O. Box from these people for 3 months. Major disconnect from the set-up on line out of state to the in-counter experience picking up the key. Basically, had to start over with pencil and paper. Then, after mailing back the key with a discontinue letter 2 weeks ahead of the 3 months end date, we found we were billed for another 3 months of the P.O. Box anyway. Made a passport appointment and was seen right at appointment time. The gentleman that helped me was extremely friendly and courteous. Poor guy was alone with tons of people walking in without an appointment wanting questions answered all while I was being helped. Some customers are wanting special attention when it is not deserved. Going back to the nice man that helped me he was apologetic for being interrupted by the other clients, he was swift yet thorough with my transaction. Great service but inconsiderate patrons who do not take the time to look online for information or refuse to make a simple phone call. read more

I understand that friendliness and helpfulness have never been a strong point on the part of federal employees, but what the hell happened to plain old common courtesy?? Standing in line at this location 7 months pregnant, holding my toddler in one arm and a giant box that was already pre-labeled and ready to be dropped off in the other, and no one even looks up from behind the counter to say hello and offer to help. The stupid box needed ONE LOUSY PIECE OF TAPE, and instead of helping me out with that, they insisted I leave my place in line, walk back out to my car to get my wallet, come back inside and purchase a whole roll of packing tape. All three women just stood there and offered NO HELP whatsoever. No offers to hold this giant box behind the counter for me. No offers to secure the box closed with one damn piece of tape (of which I saw several rolls behind the counter to be used at their discretion). Nothing. The person at the DMV was more helpful. "Going postal" now I understand that saying ... I was flabbergasted by the bullying I received from the carrier supervisor ... I wish I could go into detail but it's not worth it - I cried after I talked to him ... I felt belittled and actually scared of him. It is hard to believe that this post office is so irresponsible in repairing the post box which was vandalized 4 weeks ago and no communication of any kind to fix it. I reported to their postal inspector etc. immediately after it was broken. I could only collect the mail on weekends due to my work. I had to pick up some vacation mail here the other day. I was so happy I did not encounter a long line..whew!! I think you have to try and pick the best time to go, if possible. It is clear though that they need another couple of people wiorking at the counters. That will probably never happen though. The people who were there this day seemed efficent however. I never look forward to coming here, I always expect the worst. But they got the job done. They have things to buy , cards, some jewlery, gifts. You usually have plenty of time to wondow shop while you wait in line. This time was far better experience for me. Parking can sometimes be a bear here, I was lucky and got a place right in front. The best! Someone actually answered my phone call to help me with a very important E.D.D.M. project. For those of you who do not know what that is let me just say my profession depends on it. I had a couple of other post offices involved with this project. When I called them many, many, many times no one answered the phone even though they were open for business. Customer Service at U.S.P. S. does not have a good reputation. Let me say Roseville is an exception. They not only answered my call but accommodated me with a special request. read more

There seems to be a pattern forming in our neighborhood of no mail delivery on certain days of the week, month, year, as on several occasions outgoing mail has not been picked up. Certain of these were critical in date time restraints. It is virtually Impossible to find anyone interested when called in. The frequency of receiving mail for others has also seen an uptick. It is hoped this review will catch the attention of someone in authority at usps that something will be done to investigate the root cause and correct the deficiency. read more

I have never written a negative review about any business so congratulations, you're the first. I had a package that was supposed to be delivered to my home. Never before has there been an issue with receiving any of my mail. For some reason, this package was "undeliverable to address" and then forwarded down to Los Angeles. After going in, being told it was my fault for not having a Vacant/New Resident slip (I've been living there for two years) When it finally did return, the tracking information says "Package Delivered at/to Mailbox" and still does. There was no package in the mailbox. No notice anywhere saying they attempted to deliver. I contacted USPS and they proceeded to tell me that a notice was left (nope) and that they had the package. So why is it listed as delivered??? They also told me it was my fault because my name wasn't listed as the resident. This is is not the first time and to be honest, every experience has been a laughable serious of incompetent attempts to shift blame. To be fair, the whole USPS system is a joke. They've lost two letters, my laptop, which was supposed to be forwarded to me from GTMO is caught somewhere in limbo. Whilst in GTMO I received several packages that looked like they have been subject to a full 90 minute soccer match. So do yourself a favor. Don't use them. Ever. read more

I had to establish postal service for my new house. The post office was full of people so I anticipated a long wait. Instead, two people were out checking with people in line to see why they were there. They routed us to a different line and we received quick service. I noticed the other people were also served quickly and cheerfully by other agents. I was in and out in minutes and really appreciated the high level of customer service. read more

Horrible service. Inconsistent with sent out orders. Paid .71 cents for the first two times I sent out an envelope and i just went to send out another envelope with the same size, same weight and was charged $2.50. When I said something he argued with me asking for the name of the person who charged me .71 cents. I didn't give the names because it was TWO different people. He's the first one two charge me $2.50. I send these out regularly but won't be coming to this office anymore. Post office or no post office, you NEVER argue with a customer. Yes, the regular line was long, but the workers were all working hard to help people get in and out as fast as possible. The only recommendation I would like to make is that they change the sign over the doorway that says something along the lines of passports by appt only. I waited in line when I had an appt for my passport only to be told to have to go around the corner and in another door. You need to post a sign so people do not wait in line the just to be sent to another line and miss their appt. read more

USPS can vary from location to location, but the Roseville office does not know what they are doing. I have had packages returned because they were 2oz over the weight, because my scale said something completely different. Their consumer service is horrible and I believe her name is Kelly, who is the manager, never handles issues. Maybe there needs to be better management to make sure mail isn't being lost or other issues. It's a place I'm scared of dropping off my packages, because they always go missing or they ask for more money than what is suppose to be paid for. It's just this location that I have ever had issues with. read more

if I could give them 0 stars, I would. their customer service is shit! i spilled my coffee while standing in line, and when i asked for some napkins to clean my own mess instead of just leaving it, they rolled their eyes at me as they handed me a paper towel roll. then when i get up to the counter to ship this postage paid book in an envelope that i needed to purchase, the lady rings up the envelope and stamps it then proceeds to tell me as she removes the paper from the adhesive strip so the envelope is no longer usable, that the paid postage will not work for the weight of the package. Like hello!! couldnt you tell me that before you stamped the fucking envelope and made it to where i had no choice but to purchase it and couldnt use it after since the damn adhesive was exposed!? besides that ive had issues with my packages getting lost in the mail, so if i am going to pay more than $10 for shipping, i'll take it to UPS where at least i know the tracking and package insurance is legit and the customer service is genuine!!! read more

This location has frequently picked up mail before the posted time which is a big deal. I have witnessed the female middle aged woman with short brown hair and glasses empty the outside mail boxes and the inside parcel box as much as 10 minutes early. The people who come in after that but before 5 will assume that their mail/package will be picked up. This is so WRONG!! I have dealt with this woman before and the best guess is she hates her job and is ready to retire. I am there several times a week and she is ALWAYS grumpy! I have also witnessed the line going out the inside door going into the lobby and the employees closing that door right at 5 leaving the people in line beyond that door without service telling them to come back tomorrow. They regularly stand by that door and ready to close it at 5 and sometimes minutes before. Most of the time I think Post office does a good job. But today when I wanted to file a complaint, I had to listen to a mechanical voice that gave me options and none of which applied to me. When I finally got a live person, took her half hour to take down my complaint. Then I held on for the survey. Again mechanical voice, which gave me options that did not apply, but had to say something so I gave answers which were not true because I had no other option. Then I tried to email and the same thing happens. No space to explain the problem. You have to answer questions a certain way. Again I had to answer questions by saying things that wasnt true, but it gave me no other options. There must be a better way to file a complaint. read more

If I could give MINUS stars, I would. The problem is not inside the office, but out on the street for delivery/pickup. I can't tell you how many times I have left business packages out for pickup and they are totally ignored by the carrier. Today I had four Priority Mail packages sitting on the porch well ahead of normal pickup time. I watched the Saturday substitute mailman came, drop off my mail and thoroughly ignored my parcels. I thought he would return for the parcels because they were clutzy, as my regular carrier does on occasion. How many times has the Post office taken longer than 2-3 days for Priority and/or flat rate mail delivery to my customers? TOO FREAKING MANY! I am left wondering why we even pay these people. My packages are well-prepared, labeled and strong. Yet they managed to get smashed, ruined, or delivered up to TWO WEEKS late if at all.
