The lady who helped me on saturday, 9/17/22 at 2pm has the worst service ever! I have a free returned tracking label and she wanted to charge me for a stamp! Wth?! And when i asked if i can borrow a tape to tape the returned tracking label on to the package that i just bought, she wanted to charge me for the tape! I told her the guy worker used to let me borrow tape and she said out loud "thats why the guy is no longer work here." And her coworker was laughing at her comment. Wow, what a terrible service!! Her comment was just uncalled for! ! Im glad the guy no longer has to work with those two rude coworkers! I normally dont give bad reviews but the comment and the sneer of the coworker is really upsetting. Had she explain nicely and let me know the policy is to not allow customer to use their tape, i would have been ok! I saw recent reviews mentioning about rude lady as well and one even shown a picture of the lady i was dealing with, so i am hoping the supervisor reads the reviews to improve the work environment and invest more training to the workers! read more

They really need to install an automated kiosk here. It would make things much faster for those not needing complicated services. I had to wait in line for a basic small flat rate priority mail box and I already know what the price is! If I had the automated kiosk I could have just done it myself. read more

I personally think that customer service at DMV and US post office are terrible in general. Come to this office once in awhile sending stuffs. And as usual, I get a "meh", unfriendly/unhelpful services. However, there are couple times I got served by Brian and he is friendly. Today I had a repaid package which I couldn't print label at home. I gambled and went straight to the post office instead of library to print out first. Brian said to send it to his email and he printed it for me. Glad that he didn't mind to go an extra mile for customer. Thank you! read more

So I have a PO box here so I'm unfortunately married to this location until it's time for me to renew (which I don't plan on doing). Because of the density of people around this location, it is SUPER busy almost always: 9AM, noon and 3PM...doesn't matter, there is always a parking lot full of cars and a huge line of people inside. As for the customer service portion, I'm divided: from spending so much time here, I've observed a lot of customers with no clue on postal basics (like having your package already labelled, having your package prepared, etc) or who aren't the greatest communicators which can understandably grind on the workers having to spend 8 hours dealing with. However, that is part of the job. I've witnessed some really crummy customer service towards more difficult transactions though they've always been pleasant towards me (I'm usually in and out and an "easy" transaction). I think if people were a little better prepared before they got to the window, the lines would move quicker and everyone would be happier. With that said, although this location is literally blocks from my place, I prefer the smaller and less busy Alviso location. It's a little further but the waits are never long like this location. read more

I would give this negative star if I could. My mom went to this place to apply for a new passport. She was greeted with a disgruntled employee who treated her with disrespect, insulting, revolting behaviors. I don't know what was going on with that lady who was supposed to help my mom on that day, but she was furious. My mom is a senior citizen. She can speak English, but slowly. Now the reason my mom applied for the new passport was her sister was dying in Viet Nam, and she needed an expedited one, and she paid for it. The employee didn't want to listen to her, totally ignored her, she went on and helped next customer while my mom still have questions not answered. She then huffing and puffing and cussing at my mom for being a slow writer, took the money and threw the receipt at my mom's face. She then proceeded to withheld some legal documents WITHOUT explaining the reason. My mom was confused, hurt, depressed, but she did paid and left. Being an Asian immigrant, my mom usually doesn't complain about heinous things she experienced, but I can't stand by and allow this to go without consequences, at least not anymore. We complained this to the management, but all we received was one of those robotic generic response, and they referred the incident as "inconvenience". It is unacceptable. It was a harassment, bully, discriminating act. I am appalled by the system. my mom's sister is now passed away, resulting my mom is more than ever depressed and has to seek doctors for help. So where is the justice?!! read more

WOW! So I came to apply for a passport, because despite the website saying they needed an "appointment" I called for three days in a row and nobody picked up the phone. As I waited in line, a lady asked about the phones that were ringing off the hook in the background. The postal employee responded, "We never pick up the phones. Were too busy. They just ring and ring and ring." When it was my turn I told her I was there to apply for a passport. She said, "You need appointment." So I told her I called for three days in a row and nobody picks up the phones (as the phones rang in the background). "You need appointment." she said again. "How can I make an appointment if you don't pick up the phones?" then she replied. "You can come Saturday before 7:15 but the line will be out the door. You need appointment." So I then replied. "Well I'm here now. Can I schedule an appointment." she replied. "No. We don't have pen and paper." "So how do I schedule an appointment if you don't pick up the phones and you don't pencil anyone in when they take the trouble to drive to your office?" She had no response. 0 stars if I could. I absolutely hate that this is the nearest USPS to me. All I use this location for is drop off and I still somehow manage to make unpleasant exchanges with ALL staff here. If you need to go to the counter to pay for shipping, stamps etc.. Beware. Every single one of these staff members is condescending and have a know it all attitude. I've had to correct them on several occasions. Avoid this location if you can. They are not helpful whatsoever. They once told me my lost package (with tracking) was somewhere in outer space and sent me off on my way! I literally despise dropping off my packages here but also don't want to drive further out just for a damn drop off lol. read more

They really need to retrain their staff on what products are available and CUSTOMER SERVICE. 5 stars goes to ONE EMPLOYEE, Zam (I believe is him name). Great customer service, willing to help and overall, so friendly. 0 stars goes to the other ladies working here, two of them in particular. One of them takes the passport photos. Last time I was here, she told a customer who made an appointment to make another one because he "was late" to his appointment. He told her that he came on time and stood in line. She told him that he didn't need to stand in line, and that it's too late, and she has to help the next appointment. Waste his time why don't you? There are no signs or posters that gives instructions for passport photos. So how is a customer supposed to know what to do? Walk inside and just announce that he is there for the passport photo? The other one, usually works in the corner. Oh. My. Goodness. This girl, doesn't know the products the Post Office offers, doesn't have good customer service, and will also bad mouth to her coworkers in another language about her customers. Maybe this is their goal, to make it so people don't want to come to this Post Office so they don't have to do as much work. Who knows. read more

I understand they are bombarded with selfish nasty customers all the time at this location. I understand that they're probably understaffed. I understand the system sucks and it's not the workers' fault. Nevertheless, some ladies that work at this location take the rudeness to a whole another level. Ridiculous customer service. Wanted to make an appointment for passport service and tried calling in. No answer, not even an answering machine. I then decided to drive in and make an appointment at the actual location. The woman who "helped" me immediately cut me off when I asked about making an appointment and told me I had to call in at 7:30am on Saturday and hope that I got through the line as that was the only time they were taking appointments. Had no idea what I had to do to get my package sent. In Australia and Korea, I just had to give them what I wanted to be shipped and they would automatically package it up for me. I noticed there were "Flat Rate Boxes" so I decided to take it to the cashier. I gave the cashier my stuff (in a bag), and the cashier asked me, "You're gonna send a package like that? Are you even going to put it in the box or what?" Um....? I don't understand all the sass and attitude. I told her "No, sorry this is my first time sending anything here." So she flips the flat rate box over and sees that I haven't written an address and as soon as she sees that she says, "You haven't even filled this out either." And she rolls her eyes?! So I just try to stay calm and not get annoyed, and finally my shipment is fully processed. She then gives me my receipt with the tracking number and then tells me, "Here's your tracking number and if you can fill out the survey that'll be greatly appreciated" and gives me the most fake smile. Definitely not a pleasant start to my day. read more

This is the nearest post office to us and we only go there if we have too. There is one clerk that is a real sour cat and I hate being served by her. The others are okay. We had to apply for our passports and the way to make an appointment is to call at 7.30 Am on Saturday. The appointment scheduling is two Weeks out so call as early as possible if you need your passport sooner. Items you must bring to the appointment is your application all filled out in black ink only. Copy of drivers license back and front on the same side of the page. Copy of you US citizenship or birth certificate. One passport photo. They accept credit cards as a form of payment. If you need expedited passport bring a copy of your flight itinerary to show proof of why you need your passport so soon. The appointment will be 5-10 mins long. Basically just checks all your documentation and takes payment and you are done. The painful part of this whole process is calling at 7.30am in the morning. I really wish they would have an automated system where you can call to make an appointment instead of waiting for a human to pick up the phone or waiting for the line to not be busy. Seriously need to catch up to the technology we have in the 21st century. read more

I'll get right to the point: My mailman sucks at his job. Or should I say "mail-persons" because it seems like there's at least 4 dudes & a chick (at least I think it's a girl... or maybe a guy "transitioning") who I see on a rotating basis in my 'hood. Anyway, I consistently get mail for people who live on totally different streets. This time though, they mailed my renewed CA Drivers License to Allah-knows-where, but wherever it is I'm pretty sure someone is now entering the country illegally with the rest of their 'Sleeper Cell', under my identity... *sigh*. On the bright side, every Christmas, I get a little present from the USPS because they send me a gift for someone else a couple streets over. read more

This post office looks so old school, like stuck in the 60s, so for me is kind of 'exotic' as I like the look and how small it is. I went there because was the closest one from my work place and was convenient. I had to be in line for quite a bit but I assume so many people use their lunch time to do this type of errands, so it was not an inconvenient thing for me. The lady who was taking care of my postal needs was nice and fast as she could, so i will go back to this one again. read more

Poor customer service. Came to buy stamps. I request 100, lady behind the counter gives me 9 books and charges me $90. I then ask, how many are in each book and she says 20. Transaction went through and I tell her, why did you give me 9 x 20= 180 if I asked you for 100, that is 5 books of stamps. She then refused to refund my money even though it was her mistake and then said her supervisor can't speak to me. Gives me a random number that no one picks up. HORRID customer service. This is the worst USPS office I've been to in my life, multiple times already, I go there and it's rarely more than one person serving customers. Don't expect anything less than 20-30 minutes wait. Last time I went there, I wait for 30 minutes, and when my turn gets closer, the usps person tells us that there's a passport appointment now for 3 people, so unless you want to wait long, I recommend you go to another usps office. After calling them on three Saturdays, I finally made an appointment for my child's passport renewal. It took a bit to locate this post office as it's 'hidden' near Levi's Stadium. Once inside the post office, there was NO clear signs on where to line up for passport processing. Evidently, one of the postal staff (Mary Lou) handles both passport processing and regular postal services. She is knowledgeable and efficient. That said, I did not receive the courtesy that one expects as a customer. Guess this is common attitude of government employees. read more

The worst post office experience, we had an appointment to renew our kids passports. First they said we had to wait outside the mainline by the waiting area because we were 10 minutes earlier and they were going to call us for our turn. We waited for about 20 minutes and decided to go ask. The lady at the front was the rudest pushed us away saying that we were late and why we didn't went back on time. We explained her that we were told someone was going to call us. The staff started arguing between them because they help a different people without at appointment and not us! Anyway, they agreed to help us, we showed her our paperwork and she started mocking us because we did the wrong application and refused to help us. According to her we cannot make mistakes with the application ‍, I started a new application right away but she refused to help us because they were closed at 2:30 pm... all the time wasted and the kids school classes missed. Certain Staff is not very polite. One lady yelled at incoming customers saying: we are closed, get out. Service is slow. Communication skills of the staff is below average. Unfortunately this is the only post office close by so I am stuck with it. I hope they do something about their customer service soon. read more

I used to live five minutes away from this location and would go there regularly to ship packages domestically (I sell clothes, jewelry + books on Mercari + Letgo apps). I always had quick, pleasant experiences with this location. I am sure that I most likely went during non-peak times so I probably had a much different experience than everyone else. However, the staff always helped me efficiently and were easy to work with. It's not that they were super warm or welcoming but they certainly weren't rude or mean to me haha. Parking can be hard if you go during a busy time though! read more

OK, I am a Postal Insider so I know whats going on here. First of all, this office is understaffed and they don't have a supervisor. They are always short of supplies and no one seems to care. Some of the employees here are temporary employee since the regular ones retired. You will see different faces every week or every other week. This is one of the most unorganised post offices. Again, there is no Supervisor or leader to take care of the business. Every time customers have concerns, they got sent to another post office that has supervisors. Most inconviences. read more

Sukhvir is very rude and not helpful. I came in to ship 2 letters and asked for an enclose to do so. She asked if I wanted it tracked, and I said no. In all my experiences at other USPS locations I've always been handed an envelope with a stamp on it. She told me I had to grab an envelope from the floor and fill it out. I did, but when I came to check out I noticed I was charged for the envelope and stamp separately. I asked her if I could have used an envelope with a Stamp (which would have been cheaper), and she said yes. So I asked, why did you tell me I could do so? She goes back and forth with me saying if I didn't ask for it then they don't give it. BUT I ASKED FOR AN ENVELOPE TO SEND THE LETTER IN, and so I did ask? For about a minute we went back and forth with each other over this until I said "You know what, I'm not doing this back and forth with you." So I paid and left but she truly is rude and I hope you guys would invest in training because she definitely needs it. Or hire other folks who have courtesy and kindness. read more

The post office location here was convenient for me as it's on the way to work, but the service here is really slow, and at least one of the ladies here speaks limited English. She sold me a flat rate box once but forgot to mark on the box that I had paid for it, so when I came back to mail my package, they tried to charge me again for the same box. Lines have been long and slow to move the few times I've been here. Not my favorite post office. They definitely need to tighten up on the service. read more

My package was never delivered after 2 weeks although the Priority Mail is supposed to take 2-3 business days only. The staff there gave me such hard time regarding my potentially lost package. I paid the signature insured service, and they held my receipt saying that I did not pay for it. Until I pointed it out a few times as it is stated clearly on my receipt, then they agreed that I did pay for it. They kept making up different excuses and tried to push me away by directing me to "bigger" offices for example. They basically do not want to help or take any responsibility. read more

Every time I think of having to ship something via USPS, I dread it. But when it comes to this location, I always have confidence in experiencing great service by any of the pleasant ladies who work here. For the past six years, I've tried to stick with this post office compared to the two near my house (Piedmont in San Jose and Hostetter main in San Jose). This place always ensures good service, no matter how lost you look with how to ship something. Another good thing about this location, it doesn't get as packed as others, therefore you'd be in and out in no time. read more

I like that this office is close to my work but it can be very slow during lunch time hours. The lady that often helps me is so sweet and kind (Asian woman) however the lady that often handles the far left window/passports is curt when she speaks to people. I had plenty of wait time to listen to her speak in my opinion rudely. She just reminded me of someone that has been in her position long and probably has dealt with people who aren't always prepared or knowledgable but let's assume the best out of people before treated them as though you are going to get the worst. So yeah, I sell stuff online, so I'm a regular at several local post offices. And this one is the sweetness, lemme tell ya. I go here at least twice a week -- usually at the end of the day, but sometimes in the early afternoon. I've probably been here a hundred times, maybe more, and I wait in the line every time (gotta get those dropoff receipts...) In all those hundred times, I think the longest I've ever had to wait in line was, oh, about four minutes. They are super efficient here, and friendly, too. Besides normal shipping services, these guys have been above-and-beyond with other stuff, too. I filed an insurance claim for a lost package a couple of months ago, and, once I got the notice back in the mail, I took it in here and these guys actually reimbursed me in cash, right over the counter. No extra paperwork, no waiting another month for another check to come from the St. Louis USPS office, no nothing. Straight up. Long and short of it is, this is the best USPS branch I've ever used. I think the fact that it's absolutely nowhere near any freeways has something to do with the light traffic, but I'm not complaining. You won't usually have any trouble parking, despite the weirdly tiny smallness of the lot -- people are always in and out (more evidence of how fast these guys are!), so you'll get a spot. If it's estimated-tax day, or apocalypse day, and there really aren't any spots, you can always park on the street about ten yards down. Easy peasy. read more

The customer service of this post office's staff really needs to be vastly improved. While I understand there could be some particularly picky customers coming their way, this does not justify their general bad attitude toward all customers. I was particularly appalled by their way of handling packages. The staff at this post office would simply leave checked-in packages at the counter, risking being stolen. At the minimum, I would expect them to take them into the back room first like FedEx or UPS. I did not feel safe at all leaving my package with this post office's staff to handle. With USPS in this state, no wonder people prefer shipping with FedEx and UPS. read more
