The shipping section, which included the Amazon drop off department was busy around 11am on a Saturday...There were 4 people behind the counter dealing with all customers and about 5 people in line in front of me. The line was moving very slowly, and the staff seemed a bit slow and disorganized. The guy right in front of me, just left the line and said...I'm just going to go to the Post Office.. I finally got to the counter, got my QR code scanned and within a few minutes I got my receipt. Beginning in his college years, Bodziony worked at Caster's Bicycles: a family-owned bicycle shop with locations in Providence and Warwick. He would end up working at Caster's for 19 years. Eventually, Bodziony wanted to open his own bicycle shop. In 2007, his old friend Joe Sisson informed him that he was looking to sell his family's bike shop, Narragansett Bikes, which had been family-owned and operated since 1989. Bodziony and Dale partnered up to purchase the business and rebranded it as "NBX Bikes". In early 2013, NBX moved down the street to a larger location. They even opened a yoga studio upstairs. That same year, Reed Caster (third generation owner of Caster's Bicycles) sold his two locations to NBX. In 2015, Rob Foulkes (owner of East Providence Cycle) retired and sold his shop to NBX as well. By 2020, the ownership at NBX decided to go back to their roots. They sold off all of their secondary locations and decided to operate as a single-store local bike shop going forward. I recently stopped at NBX Bikes for the first time. I had seen an advertisement for NBX to host a "JAWS" night that coincided with the 50th Anniversary of the classic blockbuster. I was very interested in attending; not only for my interest in cycling, but also because "Jaws" is my all-time favorite film. I arrived at the shop in the early evening. I was really impressed with NBX's showroom, their selection of bikes and accessories, and their excellent customer service. The first event of the evening was a 22-mile group ride along the seashore from the shop to Point Judith Lighthouse and back. It was so much fun! After the ride, all attendees were treated to an outdoor screening of "Jaws" which featured free cook-out food, beer and merchandise courtesy of Narragansett Beer. The beer brand is proudly featured in the film. This event also marked the release of a brand new exclusive "Jaws" bicycle jersey that was produced by a partnership between NBX and Narragansett Beer. I sure was glad that I pre-ordered my jersey a month earlier. I broke it in a week later when I was cycling on vacation in Maine. Overall, I had an excellent experience with the staff at NBX. Whether you've been cycling for several years or you're just looking to get into cycling, you should definitely head down to this excellent shop!

This shop has a variety of street bikes, off road bikes and e-bikes plus storage systems, fenders, saddles, grips, racks and safety equipment. The prices seem to be in-line with what our expectations are and the sales rep emailed a quote for two cycles we thing will work best for my needs. They also rent cycles here, so I may just rent from time to time to see if it suits my needs before I purchase. I like that option.

One of the things I really love about this post office is that it's so 'personal'. The employees have photos of the soccer team they coach, sports team banners, pictures a little customer drew for them, etc posted on the walls. A local woman keeps the wooden barrel planters out front filled with seasonal plants! That's the sort of thing you'll only find in a 'small town' post office like this one. The clerks and Post Master are friendly and always go the extra step to accommodate my needs. Some days the lines are long (holidays, summers) and the clerks calmly give each customer their full attention. Sometimes staff are limited to what they can do by post office policy, but in my experience, they do everything they can and are happy to assist. The customer service area has 'flat rate' USPS boxes, forms you may need for registered mail, return receipt, customs forms, etc., plus a 'shipping center' where you can purchase your packing materials. If you live on the island, you can rent a post office box here - mail is up by 10 am Monday - Saturday and the local paper is included in your mail box by Thursday morning. In a business like the post office not everyone is clamoring to write a review and the only time you may think to write one is when you are unhappy. In the seven years I have been frequenting this location, I've only had positive experiences. I have found the folks here to be very friendly and I highly recommend this location for your postal business.

These problems persisted and it soon became obvious they make mistakes and are are a tad vindictive. They have caused needless disruption in my life such as returning bank cards lawyer letters etc telling them I have moved no forward address despite the fact we filled out form and the post office in my other state was fine We had no problems with our other post office which was much larger and dealt with lots of seasonal customers and international citizens. the carrier we have is one of the nicest and hard worker. i have known. that main office serving paying customers in this small town should learn to treat its customers better
