Last November we had a wood burning stove installed into our basement to make the family room a bit warmer during the winter months and we need to find a place to buy wood. I looked on Craigslist and various other local places and then I happen to find the Gold Bar Trading Post. This place has got firewood like no one's business. We do not have truck and use our SUV to pickup firewood and therefore wood sold in bundles is absolutely perfect. The Gold Bar Trading Post sells in bulk or bundles. Chris has helped me select many types of wood to burn in the stove. This is probably the only place to buy the Brazilian Ironwood. Let me tell you this stuff burns extremely hot and long. If you have a wood burning stove and need to buy wood in bundles this is the place to visit. This is definitely a family run business that is open everyday except for Sunday and Monday's. Avoid them at all costs. Woodinville is much more competent. Edit: what they don't mention is that I showed my tracking number that "they" claimed didn't match. I find it hard to believe they don't have any latitude to say yep this is the persons goods considering there was nothing being scanned. I also had the invoice with the sellers info. Not to mention I have proof of delivery with this store owners name off my tracking. This also wasn't the first problem it's been back and forth for weeks. When you work for the United States Postal Service (behind the counter in a Customer Service role), you have a duty to treat people with a helpful, professional attitude and not act in an antagonistic, difficult, mean spirited way. Over a decade ago, the Snohomish Post Office had employees who were apparently miserable and they randomly took it out on the people they were supposed to be helping. That group of people retired I think and then for a long time it was pleasant, but the bad attitude problem is back big time.

The first year or two of living in Lake Stevens, I was terrified of going to the post office and had multiple pieces of mail and packages misdelivered, only to find the Postal Annex a black hole of unanswered phone calls. You could only file a missing package inquiry after a certain period of time, and when they finally called to follow up, would basically say "we can check but tbh it's very likely gone forever." THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE. The staff working the counter at the Lake Stevens Post Office this past year (when I attempted to visit again) has been phenomenal. I can only remember Sheena by name, but have been helped by 3-4 different staff throughout the past several months and every single visit has been just stellar. They are SO patient, kind, and professional - especially as I have been attempting to start a small business and figure out the wonderful world of shipping items (which is stressful in and of itself). I haven't received neighbors' mail in a long time, and as far as I know, have received all of mine. I am so appreciative of the current staff and their hard work when they are still so slammed. Thank you for turning my visits from something of dread and panic, to something I actually (weirdly?) look forward to!

I went home and called customer service. They confirmed post mark stamps are FREE. Today I went to send my tax payment and asked for a postmark - the same lady argued that she could not do it unless she charged me. I don't like to cause a scene, but I insisted that she do it anyway. She kept trying to give me a certified mail form.
