Everyone's experience is relative. I've been having delightful little conversations for years here. At least our mail seemingly gets to us usually on time and nearly always delivered well. I wonder for all the negative reviews on here, if those people have ever tried working at the government employed post office? I have a feeling it's a very thankless job, doing one of the (seemingly) most important services to all of us who mail & ship (nearly everyone) because we need our mail to get there on time, we needed it there yesterday... when we're often the ones that are rushing to the post office and getting things out not on time or early. Or for new mail carriers that have to remember, (I don't know) a couple hundred addresses and where they're at and how to actually locate some really hard to reach places sometimes. If your place is hard to reach that might be on one's own living situation however, at least until the entire path has been well illuminated. Yes there's always issues with every business, that whole bad egg thing. But I've been having kind & responsive conversations with Robert before he left and with many of the other mail carriers here. It's up to us to put on a good day smile and share that with everyone else around us whether they're having a good day like us or not. My first time in this store, and I was greeted with "you look lost and unprepared." I asked for a piece of tape, and the lady said "you have to buy it or go next door to UPS, that's our business motto." I'd recommend a better business motto and somewhere else to take your business for shipping and receiving. read more

I don't think sharing my experience will matter, but just in case anybody reads the reviews I'm going to mention that I found the staff member I dealt with at the Snohomish Post Office extraordinarily mean and antagonistic for no reason at all. When you work for the United States Postal Service (behind the counter in a Customer Service role), you have a duty to treat people with a helpful, professional attitude and not act in an antagonistic, difficult, mean spirited way. Over a decade ago, the Snohomish Post Office had employees who were apparently miserable and they randomly took it out on the people they were supposed to be helping. That group of people retired I think and then for a long time it was pleasant, but the bad attitude problem is back big time. read more

The Postmaster Lindsey Green helped me with a problem with money orders that was very complicated. She listened, did research, connected me with the correct department in St Louis, MO to remedy the problem. She was fantastic about her followup and clearing the way for a resolution. Also, I have always been impressed with the front counter customer service and daily delivery to me. They are significantly better than most companies I come into contact with. read more

This review is for the staff at Snohomish Post Office. yes there is usually a line, but that can't be helped. I visit a couple times a month and the staff are all exceptional. They are friendly, efficient and have always been respectful. I needed to move the location of my mailbox and they were very accommodating. They all deserve a attaboy! In the past, this office seemed to have been capable and competent and friendly. It is no longer the case. I'm on day eight of no mail, despite no other delivery services having any issue delivering mail. DoorDash? No problem. GrubHub, Amazon, UPS, FedEx, NONE of them have a problem getting mail to me. USPS? EIGHT days now. This is not an anomaly. Through the year, this post office has been an absolute train wreck of process, incapable of delivering mail or misdelivering mail or delivering packages by literally chucking them under drain spouts. This is a huge step down. I've always been polite and friendly to the postal workers, always thanking them for all they do. This isn't a reflection on them. It's instead an indictment of the extreme incompetence and incapability of this particular branch in being able to function. Our tax dollars deserve to be utilized better. If Dominos can deliver pizzas with more professionalism and process, then USPS should feel ashamed by contrast. It's mail delivery, it's been going on for centuries. You should have some mastery by now. That, or find a DoorDash deliverer to take over operations. They literally couldn't do any worse. read more

The post office is so looked down upon in our modern age, and yet I have a great fondness for their work. This particular location is filled with the most lovely people. Call Multiple times and they refused to answer the phone and they actually pick it up and immediately hang it up and it's only 4:30 because they don't want to be bother . Obviously from all these other complaints , this office staff needs to be replaced with more capable employees . read more

Nice drivers but what has happened to these guys? Similar to the recent comment, service has taken an absolutely nose dive. Three times just this summer I've had packages not be delivered with no notification of any kind. I've had stuff say out for delivery, and say that for two days when I'm getting regular mail daily, and I had one package outright never get delivered. After I made a mail search request, nothing ever happened, and the whole time it said it was at my local post office with no attempt to deliver. I emailed the post office which I actually got a response from, and they claimed it was not there even though tracking showed it was scanned there. Luckily I got a refund but only because the post office would outright not find and deliver my package. It is of note that this weighed about 70 pounds and was about 2 feet long. There is no way you're losing something that big. A couple weeks ago I had a package say it was out for delivery and then after two days of nothing happening, I submitted a missing mail request and then magically it shows up at my door a day later. It's like they have no interest in doing their job anymore. Also, I saw on camera that the mail clerk drove up my driveway and then leave without making the delivery. Unfortunately there is no accountability, there is no amount of complaining that will do anything to make these people better at their job. Currently, I've had a scooter battery supposed to be delivered on Monday that was then sent and held at the local post office with no indication that it was not being delivered. The sender showed that a delivery attempt was made, but like other people, I was here all day and even though the postal clerk came to my mailbox, they didn't deliver the package. I have to say that this can only be the highest level of laziness. I went online to submit a re-delivery request for the following business day, which was a selectable option, and it has now been two days after that and it still only shows that a redelivery request was made with no actual schedule delivery. So I'm now going to have to make a special trip to the post office to go retrieve my package because they are too useless to do their job correctly. They can complain about staffing and budget all they want, but this is unacceptable, period. read more

Went in for a passport appointment. Soon as I entered the place, the Clerk was rude and condescending. He then starts asking for my application, I didn't print it out because I know that they have them there. He gets annoyed that I have to fill out my paperwork. As I'm filling out the application, I hear him talking about me to his coworkers. How rude. I showed up 20 minutes early for my appointment because I knew I had to fill out the application which isn't a crime. I got back in line to wait for him and he disappeared. I was already feeling embarrassed so I just left and went to another post office as a walk in, same day and they were super friendly and helpful. I am also out $85 dollars for their service fee and passport photos that they did not take. Good luck to all who frequents this establishment. read more

Out tax paying dollars are NOT at work here! Consumer Cellular sent me a new phone on July 18 and the PO tracking site says that they tried to deliver it on July 24 but couldn't because they couldn't find the location (nobody tried to make contact with us). It also said I didn't need to do anything more because they would redeliver on the next mail delivery day which was the 25th. Today is the 27th and there have been 3 delivery days since the 24th, but nothing has shown up. In desperation, yesterday I wrote a large letter note and placed in the mail box, asking that they leave the package in the mailbox or leave it in the ice chest by the gate to the property if they wouldn't call the house phone. We just checked the mailbox and the ice chest and NOTHING. I called twice and after 20 rings or so, it went to busy....and so I called back in a few minutes and it rang for literally 4 minutes and 48 seconds and someone switched it to a busy signal again. Mail has been delivered to the mailbox and the note is still in there...but no phone, no contact and no service....Terrible service. This showed have been dealt with years ago. read more

Lesson learned: Don't make a passport appointment here. The clerk was incredibly rude and almost refused to honor my appointment since I was 5 minutes late. My appointment, by the way, was at 9 am (which is when the office opens) and it was not as though I could have arrived earlier and gotten it done at a more convenient time for this clerk. Even though the lobby was completely empty when I arrived, I asked if it was policy that I needed to reschedule my appointment since I wasn't on time. "No," she replied, "There are no other appointments today." Apparently she just wanted to make it a point that my running 5 minutes late was somehow severely inconvenient. Got it. I already had a valid passport, but I was there to complete the process to change my name. Per the instructions on the U.S. passport website, I brought my current passport (with previous name) and my name change documentation with me to the interview. The clerk then proceeded to give me grief over changing my name and stated that I needed to show proof that another government agency had already issued me another form of ID with my new name. I proceeded to explain to her that that information was not what was expressed in the instructions in the application, and that as long as I had 2 valid documents I was following protocol. She began reading back through the entire list of acceptable documentation on the passport application-- as though she'd never read through the instructions before-- and I'm certain I would have been there another 30 minutes if it weren't for the sheer luck that I had visited the DOL to have the name on my license updated earlier that week. I'm certain I would have been better off completing this process on my own, but I thought that completing it via the post office would somehow be helpful. I assumed incorrectly. read more

Wish I could give zero stars and no longer support this establishment. They are thieves. Package reached them, out for delivery, and now has been "awaiting scan." Missing mail- no luck. The sender of the package managed to get through awhile back and they said it may be in their "messy" warehouse, then it would come late, then maybe the mail person delivered it to the wrong house. Since then, no change or follow-up. For almost 2 months. Call but nothing but rings, busy signal, and a fake 1/2 answering of the phone followed by hanging up. Can't talk to anyone. Go anywhere else so we can close this awful one down. read more

I was home & waiting on a package ALL day that was marked "door delivery only" AND I went to my online account day before delivery to ensure my package (pictures from my childhood) would be delivered to my doorstep, seen the mail carrier drive by, no fricken package, went to my mail box, no package but a parcel box key which I still cannot open because the post office has not replaced my mailbox key that I have requested 4 times now. I get their job is hard (I was a seasonal mail carrier) but these people give zero f*cks about their job and community they work for, I think its time I bite the bullet and pay for a p.o box.. read more

10-5-18 I'd speak negatively of this post office, but after reviewing their reviews, it's apparent they are lacking on multiple levels. That said, I've had a mailbox with them for over 12 years. Today, I decided to vacate the mailbox and have my mail forwarded to my home address. I had 3 months remaining as a balance. I spoke with Robert who informed me he had no access to the computer system and couldn't look me up. He stated a check for the balance would be mailed to me. Having left with no documentation and only an oral agreement, I thought it wise to call and verify Robert's account. The woman I spoke to, who only gave me the name Nhung as a reference, stated a 3 month vacate notice would be required in order to receive the 3 month's refund. This makes no sense. I'm offering this review as a cautionary tale. Look around the area for other P.O. Boxes. Both the UPS store and Snohomish Storage on Bickford provide better service, cost less and have better access hours. They also have stated their refund policies in no way include a 90 day notice and always offer refunds for full, unused months. Try them first. This Post Office is obviously under poor leadership and some level of duress. read more

We have been getting the wrong mail for WEEKS now. Today marks the SEVENTH time this month alone I have walked back down to the mailbox to place someone else's mail in it and throw the flag up. Completely UNACCEPTABLE and whoever is sorting the mail is completely incompetent and needs to lose their job. Customer service is nearly impossible to get ahold of. Currently waiting on hold, been on hold for 35 minutes. I'd love to walk in to the post office and let them know what's going on but the lines are typically out the door and the tellers are typically very unhelpful and rude. They picked up mail in the box today that wasn't ours, and left MORE!!! Is this a joke. Next day update: again, for the third day in a row, someone else's mail was left in our box. This post office is possibly the worst I have ever had the displeasure of using. I do live in a rural route, but it is honestly not that far from the neighborhood delivery box. Depending on the driver, sometimes they will deliver my packages to my door and sometimes they won't. There is just no consistency there. It's very irritating to constantly get notices in my box to go into their location to pick up a package that is too big to fit in the delivery box. Irritating, because this location is just painful to visit. The lines move exceptionally slow and a lot of the staff is very rude. To be fair, the customers can get a bit rude as well which there is no excuse for, but when you are waiting in line it's very difficult to hear the bald guy speaking in such a condescending tone to everyone when all they want are the packages that THEY refused to deliver. They could make their day a lot happier by simply delivering the packages. Then their lines would be smaller and customers wouldn't be so agitated having to be late for work so they can pick up a simple package. November 20, 2021 Dear Snohomish Postmaster, U.S. Postmaster General, & Snohomish Post Office management, We are contacting you to ask you to return the drive-up mailbox back to the orientation it formerly was in. We have normally used the drive-up mailbox that is adjacent to the Key Bank on Avenue D. for years. The orientation of the U.S. mail drop box in this location has been changed so that a person wanting to deposit mail in the drop box can no longer deposit mail from the driver's side of an auto. Why!? This is very inconvenient to your drive-up customers and not user friendly at all. Please, return the drive-up mailbox back to where it formerly was! In order to use the drive-up mailbox a driver has to now get out of their vehicle and walk around to the mailbox opening. This forces your U.S. Mail customers to use the lane that serves Key Bank ATM customers in order to deposit their mail. The current drop box orientation inconveniences and impedes traffic that is in the lane to use the Key Bank ATM drive up. Please relocate this drop box mailbox back to the orientation that it was in. I've been here several times and it's a fairly standard USPS location with expected lines and service. (Don't expect the person behind the counter to sound excited, smile or work quickly.) The man behind the counter was friendly. I had a care package that was "delivered to individual" but no one in my household ever received anything. He took the time to investigate despite the evergrowing line, and learned my package was delivered to a completely different location. The Post Master will look into it and he recommended I follow up. Two calls later within 2 weeks and nothing. With regards to general delivery in Snohomish county, I'm not impressed. 1. I've had a second package delivered to individual that was not in my area. Store from which I ordered from is following up. 2. Some of our bills are delivered 2 weeks after their mail date, and are due almost immediately upon receipt. Does it really take 2 weeks to get from Everett to Snohomish? 3. "Return to sender" apparently no longer works. Previous owner forwarded his mail but not mail from his business. My mailbox doesn't have a red flag so any mail needs to be physically brought to the post office. My other gripe is standard USPS hours are inconvenient for someone who works regular hours. This location is in the opposite direction of work so if I need to pick up a package from the office, I have to leave work early or arrive late. read more

I've lived in Snohomish now for three years and have had mostly good experiences with deliveries - once the current route driver took over. However, I'm having issues with their fill-in/part-time people. Sunday I just happened to sit down to take a break and watch some TV...just time to see one of the female fill-ins stride up my walkway and THROW a package four to five FEET onto my cement porch. And it wasn't a floppy, light package. It had some weight to it. For all she knew it could have been glassware or anything else breakable. I got up stepped out my door, and as she was getting into her truck, I yelled, "I really hope there is nothing breakable in this because I saw you THROW it." She didn't say anything and I walked inside. The contents weren't package wasn't damaged, thanks goodness - some Zero Water filters. Box was a little smooshed on one end. However, today I go out to my box, and I have a package that's all slimy. I open it to find an expensive herb bottle SMASHED to pieces and the contents all over my box and other mail. Coincidence? I find it hard to believe that if the package had been broken BEFORE delivery that something would not have been done or said. Aren't mail carriers supposed to be wary of leaking packages and unknown substances? I called the location, filed a complaint, and also filed one with the Feds. Again, I want to give a shout out to the regular guy. You do a great job! Your fill-ins however, need to go back to charm school and grow the F up. We had a passport appointment today, the lady name Sandi was very rude and seem to be racist to us. She had a rude attitude even though we just came in for our appointment. She ignored us whenever we ask her questions and blamed us for not listening to her. She also LIED to us and treated us unfairly because some of us can't speak English. We had to go ask for help and came back three time, even still she was being very rude and keeps cutting me off while I was talking. We had to talk to the supervisor but she still was not scared at all! If you see this, GO RETIRED AND FIX YOUR ATTITUDE!! There's better people out there that can take your job!! LEARN TO TREAT PEOPLE EQUALLY FAIR YOU RACIST OLD LADY! The supervisor was very nice and solved the problem better than her and actually LISTEN! Friendly? YES. So friendly that they will gab at customers (who look more and more uncomfortable, as it goes on...and on...) while you wait in line. "Slow" and "unprofessional" are the key words here. You can pay Amazon for one day shipping, but four days after it has been marked by Amazon as delivered - without any notification from the PO, you will have to go to the counter and ask where it is. (This was for a PO Box delivery. Not exactly a long trip to deliver it.) The clerk will find it sitting somewhere in the back, sheepishly mumble "sorry," and hand it over. There are too few workers to staff the counter, and they move like they have been tagged with a sedation dart. Do yourself a favor and buy a postal box somewhere else. Anywhere. read more

If there was a rating for zero stars i would choose it. Totally incompetent. I signed up for premium mail forwarding at $22/week, they screwed it up all the time. I have to keep calling them to remind them of their mistakes. And that is if they answer the phone. Typically they do not answer the phone so you have to keep calling back. read more

I had holiday mail friends and family sent me go missing, I had one package delivered to the wrong address I only knew about because of the image on Informed Delivery, I had an overnight packing with a prescription go missing that the carrier said was "delivered" and filed a complaint, and I watched the mail carrier sit in their vehicle while I was home waiting for a packing to be delivered and select that I was not home to receive package, and then I had a younger employee in her late 20s/early 30s ask if I saw the drop box with an attitude when I handed her a prepaid package two weeks ago around 7:50 AM (after waiting 5 minutes and ringing the buzzer three times while listening to employees laughing in the back). From now on I'm making sure I get an employee's name and physically handing them my packages for security. Everything I just said has happened in less than 6 months since moving to the area. The worst service by the carriers in the 44 years at this address and seems to get worse would every week. 5 days and counting to get a parcel delivered from Everett. tracking indicates out for delivery for 3 days and counting. I've always received great service at Snohomish! The postmasters are always friendly, patient, kind and knowledgeable. Today I decided to write a review for not just Snohomish but for the USPS in general! I ordered an item on June 17th. With Sunday and Monday being a holiday and no mail I was resigned to not receive the much needed item before I left on vacation. I've been tracking my package and I see it will come in the mail on June 21 the day before my departure! The postal service always gets a bad rap but in my book they are much more efficient, cost effective and reliable than FedEx or UPS! Keep up the good work you are appreciated! read more

Been waiting for the past week for mail delivery, but still no luck. If there is snow on the ground, they will not deliver. Tried calling the usps customer service number, always a 1 hour wait. It is faster to drive there and get in line. They need a web site to show delivery status for that day. read more
