Consistently letters and packages mailed through this station never reached their destination, plus carrier fails to scan packages leaving my house so nothing can be tracked. It doesn't matter if I go in to the station to mail things (which should not be required; that's what carrier service is for) or have my carrier pick them up. I forwarded my mail from one post office to this one due to changing addresses obviously, after 3 weeks of that being done, still haven't received mail to this day, informed that it was the other post office's fault for not forwarding mail when in fact they did, and the mail men HERE are neglecting to check if addresses are actually vacant or not and being lazy about it. even after inquiring SEVERAL times, nothing has been done nor changed. wish I didn't have to switch post offices. poor poor customer service too. all around just horrible read more

If I could rate the USPS negative stars, I would. I was forced to send something to my son in Texas using the US post office, as UPS won't ship to a PO Box. On Monday, March 5, I sent the package USPS Priority Mail as it needed to be to my son by Thursday PM. I received an email on Monday stating that it should arrive Wednesday, March 7 PM. TODAY, I received an email stating it won't arrive until Friday, March 9 at 9 PM which will be too late and my son won't even be there to receive it. When I contact the USPS they told me basically 'too bad, we can't do anything.' ZERO customer service. I hate this place. read more

I've only been here a few times, but so far the staff has been cheerful and the lines are short. I drove past it the first time around because it's tucked away behind a wall and there's no sign so keep an eye out. Great location and great place overall. read more

If I could give this place no stars, I would. Every single package I received had at least one broken item in it. I do admit, the first package I received could have been wrapped better (fine china tea set- tea pot and 3 out of 5 cups shattered). The second package was wrapped by the post office in another state and still managed to get to Tucson broken. It was a jewelry box where the hinge on the top was bent with scratches to the wood on the outside, I would guess from heavy boxes on top and/or rough handling. All my packages had fragile stamped on them numerous times, and it seemed the more times it had fragile stamped on it, the more damaged the box was! My most recent packages came with 2 big holes- one on the top and the other on the side, where things could have easily fallen out. DO NOT let anyone send you anything of value to you through USPS in Tucson. read more

I can't believe the negative reviews about this post office! I ship packages fairly regularly and I would actually go so far as to describe my experiences there as "delightful". Having moved from DC to Tucson, I know what a horrific post office experience is like. I've only waited a few minutes here (as opposed to up to an hour in DC). The postmaster at this location is incompetent. They returned 2 cases of powdered laundry detergent to my armed forces contractor after shipping the same product for 5 years. I took the 2 cases in question to the Sun Station post office to explain the matter. The issue is that the powdered detergent is made by Clorox. The post master at this location said that any box that sais "Clorox" will be considered bleach. She called me a liar when I explained that I have been shipping the product for atleast 5 years thorough this station. I have been told by the vendor "Clorox" that this is a mailable package via USPS. They will not negotiate with me. I left this station feeling belittled with 10 people behind me me thinking I was arguing for no reason. read more

This post office is the absolute worst!! I ordered a pair of shoes online and my order came with tracking. After a few days it was mark as delivered to a locker attached to my lock box. I checked my box and did not receive a key for the box. I called this location to try to find out why I'd did not get a key, and no one answered the phone!! I called at least 20+ times and only got a dial tone. Finally someone picked up and they told me to wait another day or so. Fine, I waited and still no key came. Now I call again and can't get a hold of someone for an HOUR. I finally speak to a manger and she was polite and apologized to me and said she would get on my case and figure it out for me. She told me that my mailman was off for the weekend (issue started Monday, it's the weekend by now) and that she would talk to him about it and contact me on Monday. Monday comes and goes and I never receive a call. I call and call and call and call for another hour until finally someone picks up. Of course the employee has no idea what I'm talking about and the manager from last time is nowhere to be found. I've given up at this point, they either lost my item or stole it. Finally on Wednesday a key shows up in my mailbox. I ended up receiving my item 2 WEEKS after it was marked as delivered and I was never contacted by anyone. AVOID THIS POST OFFICE AT ALL COSTS, IF YOU LIVE IN THEIR SERVICE AREA BEWARE THAT THEY ARE HORRIBLE!! I cannot stress enough how frustrated I was at my experience and I legitimately afraid of ordering anything else online and having it delivered by them. read more

I had been to the sun station many times but today I was fairly impressed in particular about the service i received. It would take a lot to get me to write a review about anything especially a post office, but the customer service here is phenomenal. The lady helping me, Elvia I believe, went to extremes to ensure that my package was shipped via the most economical means. I ended up paying half for shipping than I otherwise would. As a college student with a budget this was very important. I do agree with all the other commenters that the lines here are long, but the service made it worth the wait. read more

Every time I try to call this post office, the phone rings off the hook, or the line is busy. I don't understand how no matter what time of day there is no one around to answer the phone. I've tried for days to get into contact with someone regarding my package. No luck, I don't live there anymore so I can't just go in. And the few times I did go in while I was still living there, everyone was rude or short with myself and other customers.
