Went to the Post Office today to pick up a letter. After watching 2 employees talk about nothing while I waited to be seen, and the other lady scanning packages and throwing them all over the place, I was finally waited on. The lack of respect and customer service was almost too much to bear. I now understand why the Postal Service is not a viable entity and on its way out. Update 10/31/15: they messed up with the package again. Got a nasty phone call from the supervisor yelling at me not to call the number he called me from. I was in shock how rude this person was. He said "stop treating me like a dog. If you don't give me the tracking number I am not gonna help you" with an threatening attitude. I told him it was his job to deliver the package. This post office is the worst in the entire United States. The supervisor Is not only in capable in doing his job but also a dangerous, agitated man that threatens his customer! They don't care about if you have received your packages on time at all. What a shame when delivery is their job! I have four packages stucked in the parcel mail box and I was given the wrong key. I went to this post office three times still could not get it resolved and the supervisor has a nasty attitude like I did something wrong. So disappointed in government agency like this. SHAME on them to take tax payers money and don't serve. The worst part is the rest of us has no where go to to complain besides Yelp. That is exactly why they can be obnoxious like this. I ordered a package that said delivered to a parcel locker at my apartments.. Except I never received a code to access it! I contacted USPS regarding the issue who put blame on my apartment complex. I asked my apartment complex manager about it and she went through to find that they received no package inside a locker from USPS on that date & time at all... After further investigating, I find that the delivery man LEFT MY PACKAGE ON A TABLE IN OUR MAIL ROOM not in a locker. Just there for anybody to grab!!! Pure laziness from these workers to treat people's packages with no regards, packages people PAY for!!! The person I spoke to from USPS was Ky Phan who was not helpful and did not care about how their employees mishandle packages and put blame on other people. read more

On or about 10 January 2016, I placed an envelope with my name, PO Box number and cash in an envelope for my PO Box rental at this location. When I went to check my mail today, my key didn't work. I was informed that my PO Box had been closed due to no payment. After speaking to several employees, I was informed that there were was no payment revived and camera in the lobby to verify that I made a payment. I just spoke with the supervisor Art del Rio and I am still pretty upset. I understand that I should NOT have put cash in envelope, but at the time of payment I was approaching the deadline and didn't want my box to be closed. This is an integrity issue for the manager to deal with, an employee of this post office likely has that cash. As an Army Officer with 11 years in the military, not once did I question that my cash would not make it to credit my account. Now my PO Box is been closed, and I won't get my cash back. I hope that whoever took it needed it more than I did. read more

Unacceptable delivery service. I tracked my shipment and saw that it was delivered. Instead of leaving the box on my doorstep or in the overflow, the postal delivery service stuffed it in my small mailbox! I had to literally use a box cutter to cut the box apart just to take it out of the mailbox. Like come on! I know it took you a good minute to jam the box in the small mailbox locker. Were you too lazy to put the box on my doorstep? Zero stars! read more

I like that this place has a self service kiosk but for goodness sake-- empty/fix the drop off bin for packages! The last 2 times I've tried to use this post office the box has been broken or full. It's difficult to make it to the post office duty regular hours so the self service kiosk is good but only when you can use it. read more

Had a package that was supposed to be delivered next week but ended up coming in Friday. Unfortunately not ready, missed the delivery since I was at work though a family member later sent a picture of the package. Decided to go straight after work and arrived about 430 with a long line. This is the worst service in my postal experience. Super long line and very long wait. One lady (Jenn) walking around asking what you need and being no help at all. While Danny the only clerk working so hard to help every person in line. Finally Jenn joined by another co-worker start working the line again no help with white paper!! Finally Jenn gets behind the counter and takes one customer while Danny takes 5-6 customers. The other co-worker just walking around. This system would work for the 3 clerk work behind the counter and they need to be trained by your fantastic employee Danny who seem to be the only one who cared that we are all waiting for such a long time. I wonder who manages this place? Maybe they need somebody like Danny to be promoted to understand customer needs first. read more

I've lived in Vacaville for the last 34 years and use this Post Office. I send a lot of packages to my grandchildren. This post office is a busy place, as are most. The post office is even busier during certain hours so I don't go there then. Let's be serious here, during lunch hour it's generally busy. During and leading up to Christmas and other holidays It's busy (this should be a no brainer). I have had only one problem with my service, and it had nothing to do with the employees being rude to me. The workers are generally courteous and helpful. The people that are rude, in my opinion, are the patrons. No, I am not a postal worker nor do I have personal ties to anyone who is employed by USPS. Check yourself ! The delivery service is not qualified to deliver packages. The box I received was completely open and destroyed. This is not okay and they should eat fined or put on more training. My community mail box was broken into and they left a paper note on the box to pick up our mail daily. I work full time and cannot go daily to pick up my mail. After the mailbox was fixed I called the post office multiple times, 3 days in a row, and the phone line was always busy. On day 3 I sent in a fax to please call me and put all of my information on the paper. I received no call. I finally made it down there today and they seem unconcerned that their phone line is always busy. I don't even think the guy was listening to me. He was not friendly in the slightest and was uncaring about my struggles to get my mail. read more

I had some loose items that I needed to ship in a flat rate box. There weren't any medium boxes in the outer lobby or inner lobby. I got in line to ask for one but was told they were all out. I got out of line and I had to use the next size up which costs more. I brougt my own tape and packaged my items and addressed the box, but didn't seal the top because I needed to include a book of stamps. I got back in line, bought the stamps and put them into the box. I was asked to step aside to seal my box. I explained that "it will take less than a minute". They didn't care, so I stepped to the side and had to wait in line again! It took the cashier more time to tell me to step aside than it took for me to seal my box!! Some suggestions: 1) put out a sign when they're out of boxes and 2) place a sign that says - All parcels must be sealed before getting in line. An errand that should have taken 10 minutes took 45 minutes! I'm very disappointed. read more

This place is horrible! This has to be at the very top of government institutions that aren't worth a crap! I've had a PO Box for years at this location till about a year ago and moved because I just couldn't do it anymore. I'm at a mailboxes etc. type place and get my Mail one to two days sooner than I did there. Anytime I had a notice of package or rent due etc. I would have to stand in excessive long lines while they have 2 tellers in the 5 available windows, one walking around lobby checking garbage cans and 1 walking through the line asking people what they were doing and handing them some stupid piece of paper with my transactions on it. You get to the window and the teller still Asks you how can I help and never even looking at the card? That person walking through the lines time would be much more productive in one of those open windows! This place just seems to have no management or oversight nor employees that give a rats a$$! Another government institution of waste, fraud and abuse! Now to today I'm waiting on a package at home which is serviced by this same branch and my package was due today, it showed on tracking that it arrived at noon to this PO and they didn't even deliver just pushed it to deliver tomorrow? Wtf? This place is a joke, I have lived in my house for over 5 years and still receive mail from the last 4 tenants regardless of the 5 notes I've left in the mail box informing the carrier that they don't live here and have a sticker in my box with our family name ONLY on it! I have even gone to the post master at this branch twice with a stack of previous tenants mail and asked him to please tell carrier to read name in box and leave only that mail and I still get their crap. How hard is it to deliver a package or mail? Why do they hire people if they can't read or follow directions? This place is pathetic and it's no wonder there in jeopardy of going out of business. It can't happen soon enough as far as I'm concerned. These people will struggle at there next jobs with the work ethics they display here. All I know is that I'm a small business owner and if I ran my business like this place I would be out of business! If you can avoid this place by all means save yourself! I'd rather pay an extra five dollars to ship from the UPS store then deal with this place! It's sad that this is what has become of what used to be a thriving institution. I would love to give negative star ratings for this post office, the office staff themselves are great. They are a little on the slow side, but the mail person that is responsible for the Ulatis area either repeatedly steals, miss delivers, or loses packages. Something needs to be done! I have never had such poor customer service. I submitted a change of address 3 weeks ago and I have not received any mail at my new or old address. I am waiting on important mail and it is very frustrating not receiving anything. I attempted to contact the post office but the only phone number is an 800-number that is completely automated. The voice prompts do not recognize what you are saying. There is no option to speak to a representative without having to go through the BS automated system. I have never been so frustrated trying to contact a business. I had to go to the post office to pick up a package and was told they could not find it. The lady at the window did not even attempt to look for it. I went back the next day and spent almost 40 minutes waiting for them to find the package. Luckily it was found and the gentleman who assisted me that day was very nice and helpful. Overall my experience with the post office has been frustrating, disappointing, and horrible. read more

If only negative stars could be given. I can not stress enough how rude the one lady with long black frizzy hair is. I hate going in here for fear of anxiety that I might end up with her and also our mail person throws the keys into the wrong mailbox and we never get packages delivered and the email states "notice left" but I never receive notice on my door. I think she is too lazy to get out of the truck to stick a sticker on my door or just don't give a crap about other people's property we might be waiting on. Either way, I've had it. This is your average post office. There is always a line and a wait. This is the only P.O. In town that you can pick up your packages that are undeliverable to your home. It is not easy to access from the road and the parking lot of cramped. read more

We came here for to apply for passports and the last that helped us was Jen. We didn't know we had to bring passport pics and at first I kinda freaked out but Jen was kind enough to direct us to Costco. She said when we were done to come right back and she'd continue with the process. As promised we came back and she helped us. Normally if it were anywhere else or anyone else they'd be mad. This is absolutely the worst Post Office I have ever been to. They are always short staffed and it seems like some of the workers resent it and take their sweet time to make a point that they are dissatisfied. I must say that I have encountered one of two staff that did an excellent job despite the toxic atmosphere. I had left a packaged unsealed until I got everything correct and they wouldn't even put a piece of tape across it and instead told me I would have to buy an overpriced roll of tape. I picked up my package and took it to FedEx where they taped it and sent it for me. I only go to this place when absolutely necessary. read more

Over the past 3 years this mail carrier has delivered my neighbors mail to me and mine to my neighbors. I have called and complained and these issues continue to happen. I have been to this location in Vacaville about 3 times in the past year. I always find the staff friendly and extremely helpful. Today in fact, I went there and, again, great friendly swift efficient service. Of course it gets busy at times but they often have a staff member scan the line to look for someone with an easy question or something simple. This moves the line along and makes the customer feel that an effort is being made to minimize time in line. Bottom line: this is a very good post office to use regularly. read more

I want to thank this Vacaville Post Office for accommodating a special E.D.D.M. request for me in conjunction with Sir Speedy Fairfield. For those of you who don't know what E.D.D.M. is let me just say my profession depends on it. U.S.P.S. is not known for its customer service but these guys came through for me. I have two more post offices that I need to accommodate me to make this big project happen. They are Concord CA and Napa. I tried to contact them via phone for several days many times during business hours but no answer. I will have to travel quite a distance to make the request in person. That's ok but there's no guarantee someone will be able to help me. Many $$$$ on the line including what USPS stands to make. read more

I hate coming to this place. The service is pathetic, the place is a mess (for a post office), the wait is way longer than it should be, and it's cramped like hell. Last time I was in there, the line went nearly out the door. God forbid they put more than two people on registers at the same time. While I was waiting in line, this woman (or should I say robot) went from patron to patron giving the most half-ass customer service I've ever seen in my life. She couldn't have made any more clearer she didn't care about her job. She asked questions about the package, like is it liquid, toxic, perishable, etc. However when she asked me I could barely understand what she was saying because she slurred her words so much. It's as if she was barely trying to speak proper English to me. Now here's the really screwed up part: she asked me if I wanted First Class, and after asking her about it explicitly told me there would be NO CHARGE. I figured they were offering complimentary service that day, so I said "yes." Big mistake. Fifteen minutes later I pay for my shipping, and it turns out that my total cost was $4-5 more than it should've been. Gee, I wonder how that happened? I did tell the lady at the register that I'd had wrongfully been informed that first class was complimentary, but when we accused the lady who told me such, she denied it of course and the register lady immediately believed her. By this point, I had had enough and stormed out. This is one of the worst businesses i've been to, and if possible I'm going to try and avoid coming here ever again. If you're reading this, and you're thinking about going here: don't. Save yourself a good day, and find another service. read more

Staff are rude both mail carriers and customer service personnel. My delivery carrier has been notified several times by me, one of the two residents living at my address, that only two people live at our address yet the mail carrier repeatedly delivers mail for persons who do not live at the address, for years! Customer service is rude and most definitely not customer oriented. They are disrespectful to customers and extremely unhelpful! The union needs to end and these people need to be paid based on performance! They act like they can treat customers like garbage and have no consequences. Ridiculous! read more

This place needs some tuning up and not sure why there never seems to be any one working when there is a line of customers. Today beside "LISA", LISA is Five Star!!! You see workers just walking behind the counter and they just never seem to look up to see the line of customers... You say something to them and if they look up oh I will get someone to help you. Which They never do... LISA helped seven people then me and finally someone else a guy walked up to the counter yet did not help any customer just stood there with his head looking down, then another lady who just walked back and forth from open counter place to open counter place finally said anyone just for pick up??? Which there was two customers, She told them go back to the lobby and she would find someone to help them. I am not sure how the USPS runs, yet from watching this and other locations... Hello your the USPS if you are working there you are helping people with MAIL items not sure why there seems to be plenty of workers yet no one seems to be working. With the Cost of stamps as they keep going up and the quality of service is going down ! I am wondering when I will collect my USPS pay check as I am really great at the self service machine and I help a lot of older customers. read more
