It would be great if someone answered the phone at the Vernon Post Office. Just rings and rings and rings and then disconnects.

The most welcoming place in Vernon. We've had to pickup most of our packages here over the last year. Of all the lovely places we frequent in town, I have always felt most welcome here! A lot of the reviews for this USPS are old and not accurate. I've utilized several post offices in my life and this Vernon post office is by far one of the ABSOLUTE BEST ONES. The staff is phenomenal, they go above and beyond normal routine customer service. They exemplify how a post office and business should operate. Hands down 5 stars.... A extra special recognition to Shannon and Lauren and recently hired new staff. Keep up the excellent job. read more

The Head clerk guy that works there was VERY RUDE to me, he barely let me talk and was more focused on yelling at me than actually helping me. Worst customer service experience ever! read more

US Post Office - Outside - Post Offices Near Me - Vernon, New Jersey

Multiple times I have to go to this post office because the package is "oversized." Not entirely sure when a small box that fits in the larger mailbox with a key became oversized. It's a good thing I can send any deliveries to another address because the mail delivererer couldn't care less about delivering a package. Now on the other hand, I had an oversized delivery that I didn't realize they wouldn't deliver to the door and the woman was kind enough to bring it up the stairs and leave outside my condo. That is why I give them two stars. read more

Same experience as the previous review, Sanaz S. Packages marked as delivered when they are back at the PO. Marked as "left with person" when no one was home. Marked as "in mailbox" when they are on the porch and "on the porch" when they are in the mailbox. Marked as delivered at 10: and they show up at 3:00. and when kids shout HI to the mailman, he usually doesn't even recognize their kind gesture. Seems to just be a miserable postal employee. and when I complain at the main office, nothing changes. I wish Henry would retire already!!! read more

I don't understand the bad reviews, every time I go to the post office the ladies are polite, friendly and professional. They helped many times with holding and forwarding mail and online deliveries. 5 stars for me, the delivery man is also top notch and really friendly. read more

They seem to be having a problem with their deliveries to Great Gorge Village. I have not received 4 bills that I positively know about. Others have had other peoples mail in a disproportionately large amount lately. Calling doesn't seem to have any result. Not aware etc., etc., etc!! And I personally know that is not a fact!! read more

I shipped a package for my customer, they didn't deliver the package ( they kept it in the post office ) no notice or letter for my customer. When we were tracking the package shows "delivered at mailbox" which my customer couldn't find it. After a week investigation , I called to the post office, they told me they delivered to customer's mail box. I asked to send a driver to find out, where the package is?!? then she said "oh let me check if the package is here or not?!" She checked the package was there!!! 1. If you keeping the package why showing as delivered 2. You have to let the person who in expecting package know that post office has the package 3. Why you kept it for a week and not re-delivered the package. That was very bad service of US post office... I lost my customer and I got bad review from my customer and it's US post office's fault. People of Vernon, NJ must know if they cannot find their package, where they can look for it....?!? read more
