She gave us our Memorial Table sign right away. She also printed out our two signature drink signs (but they accidentally go sweeper up with the different paper textures she was showing us). I kept asking if I'd get another paper on Tuesday when I pick up my programs, and she said yes. They said they would call and they never did. I realized that I gave her a different name and phone number than the Rewards name (which is under my Mom). When I called regarding the order (they couldn't find it right away, but that's why). I picked up the programs, I checked to make sure everything looked good (which it did, they even folded it for us which was great!) I then asked if she could reprint the signature drink papers (but unfortunately they did not have it saved on the computer anymore and I did not bring my flash drive with me). She told me I could come back on the weekend to reprint it out (and that she'd remember me), but I didn't want to drive another 30 minutes back to the store. I ended up printing it out on my own on my own printer, and it turned out okay. It stinks my Mom paid for those two copies when we never received them, but it was only $2-3, so it isn't a huge deal.

I called late in the afternoon to inquire about having dishes packed and shipped to Tennessee. The manager, Shahzad, was very kind and quickly scheduled me for 4:00 PM. When I arrived, the store was quite busy, and Shahzad was finishing packing another customer's items in the back. When it was my turn, he invited me to watch the packing process. It was unexpectedly fascinating -- I learned a lot about the care, attention to detail, and effort required to pack fragile items safely. While I was there, the UPS driver arrived around 4:30 to pick up several boxes. I didn't catch his name, but he was very positive and friendly, with a warm smile. He mentioned he had already made 200 stops and still had two more hours to go -- and yet his attitude never wavered. It was uplifting to be around such cheerful, hardworking people, especially with all the negativity we often see in the world. I didn't stay to watch the second box get packed because I completely trusted Shahzad to handle everything and ship it out by the end of the day -- and he did. His professionalism, patience, and kindness really stood out. I will definitely keep doing my business at Shahzad's UPS Store, and now that he explained the shredding process, I plan to use their shredding services too. I am 38 weeks pregnant and only had scotch tape at home. I've been to other post offices where they provide tape or I was planning to purchase tape if they said it was needed. This employee was talking about my package as if I wasn't present until I asked him what was needed and that I was willing to buy tape. He continued to mock me and speak down to me. As someone who is trying to just tie up loose ends before I have my first child this was extremely upsetting to me. I really hope he doesn't make other women feel like this on a daily basis!
