Located across from Raley's. For there being a Federal Shutdown the person that help me was very friendly and patient. I went here to mail a gift for my Aunt's Birthday in December on the East Coast. I had it packaged up in an old Amazon mailer all taped up and they accepted it as proper mailing packaging. I asked for the cheapest method of mailing (Ground Advantage and it comes insured and with tracking) and it would get there in 5-7 days, which was perfect. She doesn't need it till the 2nd week of December. With the holiday rush starting in November I thought I would get it out early. The holiday rush won't guarantee anything on time. Parking is pretty good. They have a small lot to the right of the post office. It used to be to the left, but they made some changes. I've been lucky by going off peak hours and have always gotten a spot. If it's packed you can always park in the Raley's Parking lot and walk across the cross walk right in front of the Post Office. If you are just dropping off a letter there is a blue mailbox out front. If you need to rent a mailbox they have them available here. You can either pay by them month in person or you can put it on auto draft. read more

I am beyond livid with this location, specifically my carrier. I paid rush order for a retirement gift. Informed Delivery says it was delivered but it wasn't. Called their number, rings then hangs itself up. Tried to file a missing package report but can't do it until after 7 days. The USPS processes and protocols are awful. They should answer the phone so they can contact the carrier to correct the delivery. Very disappointed. read more

Staff is friendly with me whenever I come In! Kudos to Raj , she is always nice and quick to help me with what I need. I came in late near the cut off time and they were happy to help me out . Probably won't matter because people will continue to go here & the employee won't get reprimanded. There was a man probably 6 feet, curly hair and glasses that was rude when I asked them if they could print the mailing label for me or if I had to do it myself and come back. As said previously, if you go in there with questions or confused about something they will make you feel stupid. This office has some of the most friendiness staff. Lines can be long sometimes so prepare for the wait. But most annoying of all is their parking lot. 6 parking spots and 2 of them are handicap. You can park across at raleys and walk but do so at your own risk. There also another post office located on industrial blvd west sacramento. This is the main hub with full service from bulk mails to passports. But this one is only open M-F. read more

Both time I have come into this post office they have been fast and efficient. Staff is helpful and friendly. Definitely prefer this location over the new one on Industrial. They cant seem to figure out where their customer parking lot and its rather small but other than that, they are great! read more

The people that work here will give you a terrible attitude as if they're working for free. I wouldn't come here if you needed help shipping a package, only come here if it's 100% ready to be shipped. You will be met with teenager attitudes otherwise. read more

The people who work at this location are super nice. I wish there was a self-service kiosk for 24/7 access. Another reason for 3 stars is that the mailbox outside doesn't accept parcels so you can only drop these off during business hours. I wish there were more options for after hours usage! read more

This post office has lost my very important pieces of mail and cannot even tell me where it is, let alone what happened to it. They also allowed somebody to put my mail on hold for two weeks without doing the proper procedure to put the mail on hold. They seem to "not remember who placed the hold" Nor do they want to help solve their wrong doings. I have reason to believe they even allowed this person to pick up my important pieces of mail without authorization or identifying that the person is the rightful owner. I am highly disappointed that they have failed to keep my mail safe and secure!! The supervisor refused to let the officer know about the issue after I had made a police report with West Sacramento PD. read more

The current parking situation is beyond frustrating but ROSE's helpfulness and professionalism soon makes you forget all the profanities you've just screamed in the parking lot before walking in. The amount of times my package was put in someone else's mailbox is absolutely ridiculous. Someone in my neighborhood just got a couple expensive games and I'm out $200. All the carriers say to do is file a claim but that won't get me my money back. Get it together! read more

For a busy post office, they made things run quickly. The workers were nice and everyone was wearing a mask. Not my favorite location, but great for what it is. Not in the best area..and there's only like 5 or 6 parking spot. Which is not optimal, but is what it is. read more

So recently on a fishing outing I broke a 300.00 fishing rod and need to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs (thank goodness for life time warranty). Got to the postal office not knowing if they had tubes to ship my item. They only had 3ft tubes (my rod was 7'6 inches) three employees took the time and tried to cut, tape together find different ways to ship my rod. At the end of the mayhem we were able to piece something together. Great employees, great service! read more

I recently visited the West Sacramento post office to inquire about a package that was returned to me on September 27th in which I originally mailed on December 10, 2019; yes over 9 months ago. I returned merchandise for a refund and it was never delivered. I realize COVID may have played a factor, but the original full blame was placed on China by the staff then when I asked for the tracking records, the package was returned to West Sacramento in May. It was then shipped out again to LA and Texas and it came back to West Sacramento 4 times before it was finally mailed to my address. Due to the extreme delay and the multiple times I came in to inquired about the delivery with apparently no effort to research the issue on my behalf I asked for a refund of the $35 postage. The request was denied because I didn't pay for insurance or a service guaranteeing delivery. This response was insensitive and disregarded the extreme mishandling of this package at the West Sacramento facility when the package was returned in May. I plan to discuss this poor level of service until I'm heard by someone or by leadership at the highest levels who is concerned with the service level and the severity of this incident. read more

And the people at the post office workers were awesome very knowledgeable very nice. On the other hand if you try to call the post office forget it it's an hour away it's the craziest whole time ever it's very irritating didn't even say they'll call you back they just make you wait for 20 3040 5060 minutes to answer a question a simple question!! The staff here helped us out big time! We did not know our supplies were getting so low, work came in, we did not have the Certified slips and cards to cover the big mailing. Enter the West Sacramento station who kindly handed us enough to fill the gap to when our large online order of the needed items will arrive, in about 5 days from now. Since there is a holiday right in the middle there, it was expedient to get things mailed good and early. West Sacramento station allowed this to happen. Kudos to Nathalie at the counter, plus yesterday it was cheerful kind person with braids, sorry I did not ask name then. Everyone there has been exceedingly kind each time as I have mailed many packages from here prior to this and also then it was great place!I went in person yesterday and today to get this project done THANKS! read more

I have been on hold for over 25 minutes. I called them at 4:50pm. I wanted to speak to someone regarding a package I sent. It went to a locked mailbox and was "delivered" but probably to the wrong address. When I let the lady on the phone know my reason for calling she told me I needed my tracking number, I let her know I had it and she put me on hold. Still have not heard back from anyone. I'm sure they have forgotten about me and all left for the weekend. read more

The staff here was ok... My transaction was processed in a timely fashion, but I must admit I do miss the "old fashion" way of handling business sometimes. I went in the post office to put my mail on hold since I'm going on vacation. So I filled out the slip and handed it to the clerk. She advices me that the hold is only good for 30 days and if I lived in West Sacramento. I told her I live downtown, so she said that I had to go online and input it myself. I know times have changed and we are in the modern day age where you take in your own accountability and do things online, but what really ever happened to customer service. In my head I was thinking, that could have been someone's job to input in the computer, people's information for those who went on vacation. I guess you can say I'm just a little disturbed that our society cares less about customer service and more about a disservice. Maybe I just care about people too much. Figured I'd share my little rant... So I'm glad that I didn't post this review yet, and saved it as a draft. Today I went to a different post office and they took my vacation/mail hold ticket with ease. This just proves to show, that all post office are not running the same. Convenient location, but the parking is really bad. It might have been due to the holiday season, but there are maybe 12 parking spaces. You can find parking on the street, but it becomes difficult if anything else is going on in the area. read more

I called to see if I could get the customer service number and the "Supervisor" Laura was very rude. She said the only person that would be able to help me would be at my local post office. All I needed was a telephone number and she couldn't even give me that. She didn't ask if she could help me at all. It's sad that someone like her has such poor training in customer service. read more
