I come in here pretty frequently with my Amazon returns. They are always very pleasant even if there is a long line in front of me. The line mores pretty quickly for the most part as most of their business is drop offs and amazon returns. They also do other shipping and those customers take longer with there personalized shipping needs. What also takes a little bit of time is when people are picking up packages and usually it's a large stack of them. They used to have a kiosk for amazon returns, I believe that is no more. I never used it as I enjoy the personal interaction and I feel more confident that it's done right. I'd hate for one of my return packages to go missing. I have also come here to make copies, they appear to have a self-serve copy machine, but the sales associate Parking is good. They are in a shopping center and share a private lot. Sometimes all the spaces are taken upfront so I have to walk a bit, but it's never bad. read more

This I'm okay with but talking to three employees (1 being a manger), none were willing to help me find a location that would take the package and I did find a ups store that did. I've been buy here multiple days a week over the past few weeks as I've been selling some items online. Not only are the folks that work here quick and friendly, but there's a self service area that also makes it incredibly easy to check-in a package and let UPS do the rest. Over the past few weeks, I've observed a bunch of friendly employees, some great music being played inside the store, and have been in and out in just a few moments every single time. No complaints here and I don't think any of my experiences could have been much better! I'm glad to have this UPS Store nearby as an easy and affordable shipping solution and look forward to working with them more to get all my items shipped out ahead of the holidays. read more

Down one star, since I have never had this fee charged to me at other/multiple locations. This location is tucked away on the corner of Capitol and Harbor (there is a McD's in this shopping center. Customer service greeted me right away. She scanned my phone for my Amazon return label, and boom! She was ready to send my package out. My entire visit was less than 5 minutes. Of course there wasn't anyone in the store, yay! I have most of my printing needs done at my office but I would normally come to the UPS Store for my shipping and notary needs. This location is locating in a busy shopping center so parking may be tricky. I recently came here to get a document notarized and paid $15 to get it notarized. Chris helped me out and he was quick in getting my document notarized. I needed it scanned and he helped scan it to my USB drive. Great service! I've been to this location when it has been busy, but the wait is normally not that long. I've always had a positive and professional experience when dealing with the staff members here. I feel bad for the staff when I see rude customers that are getting mad over petty things such as the price! It's a business and if you don't like the price, go somewhere else! read more

This location is well staffed with nice working employees. They are very courteous and helpful. I started to drop off my UPS package here for about a month because the UPS main hub on shore street had LONG lines of people trying to pick up their packages. Which cause them to be too busy to attend to my needs. But I was pleasantly surprise that this store is so well run. Glad I was able to experience it. Unfortunately, I have went back to dropping off packages at the main hub on shore street just because it's alot more easier. Forwarded a print label from Amazon to do a return. They wanted to re box and pack the box I was shipping back to Amazon. In my opinion this a money grab scam. Since I returning the item exactly in the box and packaging I received from Amazon shipped to me by UPS to begin with. I didn't go with the packaging scam and politely asked for my return label Oscar informed me that would $3.27 for the label. I declined the charge walked out without the label. The UPS store is always on point for upholding COVID 19 safety precautions. They only let a certain amount of people in the store at once. They have hand sanitizer and require masks. They have social distancing guidelines and will ask people to leave if there are too many people in the store. The employees at this particular location are very friendly. They help customers out and go above and beyond to offer suggestions. They are very patient with people that have longer concerns or many questions. Went to the store 15 minutes before closing and employees locked the door and told all customers that they could not take or process any more packages for the day as they were "full." The whole front of the store was empty so I don't know what they were referring to, But they refused to help any more customers. Very bad customer service! My first and last time here. My advice, GO TO FEDEX! This place is terrible. Firstly, their policies and practices are awful, secondarily their customer service, which I doubt is a word ever brought up in their training. 2 stars because I was able to mail some documents, yay they did their job. Here's what they do NOT do: 1) print their own labels for free. If you have them as an email, a pdf, an image etc THEY CHARGE YOU TO PRINT THEIR OWN LABELS. And we aren't talking about a few cents we are talking about $3.24! For one label! 2) they don't have any functionality like air print, google print etc. You can regular email to them to print, but then you are paying a minimum of $3.24. Wow, thank you so much for all your efforts to print your own label for me, let me please pay you for your hard work. 3) Free wifi, isn't this something that should be offered when they advertise "customer services?" My experience was that their printer did not recognize the file type as it was from a Mac to their old printers, instead of offering any help like "let's figure out what else we can do" I was written off. Guy just went to the back of the store and said my document was corrupt, basically get lost. I only later talked to a patron in the store to find out I could email it to them as an alternative remedy - as I had the original file. Wow, thanks random customer in the store who was more helpful than Todd or anyone else there! Saved me a trip home to reattach the file. Yes, I was able to get my documents mailed, I did not leave with a positive experience. Yesterday while I was there I found the gal working to be more friendly, but all she did was charge me for printing my own documents, so I'll give her a gold star for not making my day worse. I've had much better customer experiences at other UPS', but normally I've found FedEx to be 1000% better - go there! These people get treated so badly. I had to say something. I was there on Tuesday. Two employees were working. And there was an older gentlemen who came in with no mask. The guy behind the counter asked if he had a mask with him. He said he refused to wear one and cussed at the guy. The employee asked if he wanted one. The older guy then proceeded to curse everyone in there and called the employee "a FU**ing f*gg**". Totally uncalled for. The employee gave a proper response and I commend him. I've been coming to this UPS store for years and the service is always excellent. During my most recent visit, COVID protocols were in full effect and they had a limit to the number of people allowed in at one time. Everyone easily followed the rules and the employees were very efficient in getting people in and out. I primarily use UPS for returns and I've never had one mishandled from this store! 4/5 stars because of the parking lot. There are lots of shops here and a drive-thru for McDonalds. It can get congested because of traffic and the Harbor Blvd entrance confuses or panics drivers because of how fast oncoming traffic is going (especially those trying to cut across lanes). Again terrible service, my division ships roughly 45 packages through UPS a day locally (I checked shipping stats for 2020). We are a WORLDWIDE company that ships thousands of packages a day. Sometimes the UPS driver misses a few locally so I'm forced to drive them to the local store for drop off. So you can say I ship a lot of packages with UPS. Today I was told that my label was incorrect and was not showing completely so they would not take my package. Keep in mind, I had packaged at least 25 labels identical to the one that was turned away this day and was successfully shipped with the driver not to mention I have been shipping this exact same box hundreds of times a year for the past 7 years. I have had 2 run ins with this employee before and my experience with his service was short and rude. I think you could call his customer service lazy. This will be my last time doing business with this store ( will also be hinting to customers and competitors to avoid this store as well) and I will be filing an official complaint on the location with my account rep as well as with UPS it self. There is no need to be short and rude to customers of any kind. Let alone one that doesn't this much business with your company. Only reason this review gets a 2 is because it's nicely located close to my office. I will now be traveling across the river and dropping my shipments off on J street where the employees are always welcoming and helpful. read more

I've been dealing with UPS since November, one specific driver who's name I wish I had to add to this statement.. who said " I will make sure you never receive any packages at this address again" & since that statement I've had 2 packages tracking info mysteriously change to " receiver requested package to be held at the west Sacramento location" which I never requested considering I don't even live in Sacramento, so it would be a waste of time and out of my way to drive there to pick up my package.. then after a day or two after it being held it gets returned to sender.. and management isn't any help either. They state that they will try to intercept my package to have it sent back to me, then I wait another 5 days only to find out it was still sent back to the sender. read more

ZERO STARS!!! This review is for UPS in general, but, most especially the West Sacramento customer service UPS location, located at 1380 Shore Street...where "Amy" is supposed.y the supervisor. Note: I had to find the address because UPS does not give out addresses of their customer service locations, their supervisor names, or telephone numbers. They're liars and very deceitful. REVIEW: Homemade sauce was packaged at UPS store 10/02/17 in Gallup, NM, along with dry ice purchased from shipper. Box was clearly labeled on each side with 4 perishable stickers and label indicated on package it contained 8 lbs of dry ice, and pasta sauce. Package was received in the West Sacramento on October 4, 2017 at 9:49 PM where an Arrival Scan was performed. A Destination Scan was performed at 11:48 PM on October 4, 2017. The package was then marked as "out for delivery" at 4:20 AM on October 5, 2017. Again, the package was clearly labeled as perishable with four stickers on each side of the box and on the label on top of box indicated it contained 8 lbs of dry ice and pasta sauce. The homeowner/recipient waited for this delivery from 8:00 am until 4:42 (over 8 hours)...which is over TWELVE HOURS (12 hours and 22 minutes to be exact) from time it was "out for delivery" until it was dropped on my porch! OVER 12 hours for UPS to transport a PERISHABLE package a distance of 8 miles! The homeowner was on the phone with UPS, and at the same time watching the open front door, requesting they contact the driver to find out the status of the delivery, (as she'd been watching the open door, waiting for the delivery all day). She then witnessed the UPS driver hurry up to door, drop package on porch, hurriedly leave as homeowner dropped the phone, yelled for driver, "Wait! Stop!" and ran after driver, to try and stop the driver, but he ignored homeowner and continued hurrying across the street to his truck, entering his truck, and speeding away. I am sure UPS driver (as he approached home) heard homeowner on phone speaking with UPS angrily, asking when she could stop looking out the door and waiting for the delivery, and close the door for the night. UPS just kept repeating "out for delivery", Homeowner was afraid package would be stolen off the porch and wanted to be sure to receive it, therefore, she sat on the loveseat, with the door open, and the security door closed, watching and waiting for the delivery from 8:00 am until 4:42 p.m. (over 8 hours)...over TWELVE HOURS (12 hours and 22 minutes exactly from time it was "out for delivery" until dropped on my porch at 4:42 p.m Upon opening the box homeowner/recipient noticed there was no evidence of any dry ice the box only contained a few drops of moisture. The spaghetti sauce was completely defrosted and was, at best, room temp (over 80 degrees). The sauce smelled spoiled. The homeowner/recipient was texting the sender as the sender has difficulty talking due to having throat/jaw cancer which makes it almost impossible to talk or eat. His medical condition is grave but we do not discuss it much. I did not want to tell him the condition it had arrived in because he had put so much time, energy, effort, and money into sending this homemade sauce to me... But most of all, he had put so much love into it. This isn't about the sauce (although he is a talented chef and, yes, I wanted this sauce!)...this is about love, kindness, friendship, and compassion. The sender, my friend, had spent hours shopping, preparing, cooking, and simmering this sauce and preparing it for delivery. He spent over $40 at UPS to have the package shipped. He also spent over $20 for dry ice. No, he did not tell me the cost involved. He sent me a partial receipt which had the tracking number on it and it wasn't until the next day I noticed the cost. UPS took all this and treated it like trash. UPS prides themselves on their packaging and shipping expertise, but they failed beyond measure with this shipment. WHY DID IT TAKE UPS OVER 12 HOURS TO DELIVER PERISHABLE PACKAGE 8 miles? So I finally spoke with the "supervisor" at the West Sacramento customer service UPS location, located at 1380 Shore Street (whose address and telephone number I had to locate off the Internet myself)..."Amy". Trying to talk with Amy was like trying to talk with my 10-month-old puppy. I can't stand incompetence. You, too, can have your sentimental and priceless valuables treated like trash. Just send them via UPS. Go with Federal Express. In over 30 years of working in the medical field, and having thousands of manuscripts picked up from my porch, and thousands of manuscripts delivered, as well as perishables, gifts, presents... Never once did I experience one issue or one missing or damaged package. read more

I went to this UPS location for live scan. They charged me for the entire amount when the agency that I was applying to also paid for the service. So in the end, they got paid twice for scanning my fingerprints. But it gets worse... when I later needed the transaction number, they said that they box their records every month and send them to storage. Unbelievable that in 2021 a business is sending paper records to storage. When I asked if there was anyway to get a copy of the documents, they told me that I should've kept the copy that they gave me at the time of transaction. Bottom line... Went to The UPS Store on Harbor Boulevard in West sac. Normally I find this place to be very helpful. The store is almost always busy a line of three or four people but everybody's patient and we get through our business without any stress. Today I come in there's nobody in the store there are two guys working the store all I have is a very heavy duty cardboard box to return a boat Muffler I forgot to retake the single one and a half by 3 in piece of tape and so the guy named Jake tells me I have to pay a dollar for the tape now it's not that it's a dollar I don't mind the dollar but that was another opportunity to get perfect customer service and great reviews. But instead he had to be a pill and charge me a dollar because no one was there and I guess they got to make at least a dollar an hour. Very disappointed with Jake. read more

Can a UPS Store go above and beyond to the level of five stars? Yes. The employees are sharp as tacks, competent, and compassionate toward honest customers. They deal with so many terrible situations, but keep helping the world go round. I saw a customer once come in without a mask, licking her fingers to thumb through a stack of papers she expected the staff to photocopy. And the staff stood their ground and sent her away. They shouldn't have to put up with that! Of course, folks also come in trying to harangue the staff for delivery, return, or pricing issues. They take it all in stride. I come here every couple or weeks or so to ship a return or notarize a document. They are always quick and courteous with any shipping. The notaries also take the extra verification step of collecting a thumbprint. That definitely makes me feel extra secure about having them notarize important documents for me. read more
