As long as you don't come when they first open, at lunchtime, or right before they close (obvious reasons), this place is not too bad. The immediate parking area can be a bit packed but if you drive to the big lot right next to it, there's plenty of spots. Just tried to mail a letter after hours. Found out that the doors have an electronic lock and I don't know the code because I don't have the box in there. I can understand the need for locks if there's a safety issue or vagrancy issue but if they're going to do that they should really put a box outside of the building so you can mail the letter at the post office. read more

Either the mailman they had delivering mail yesterday had a stick up his ass or he's just having a bad day, but literally the worst experience ever! We moved to garden grove about two years ago and we have had a traditional mailbox in the front lane at the sidewalk. It recently broke due to the heavy wind and rain so we replaced it with the conventional mailbox you put next to your door like almost everyone had in our neighborhood. We were outside and the mailman was making his route so we decided to wait and grab our mail. He proceeds to go to my neighbors house, then SKIPS my house and proceeds. Confused we shouted for him and asked why he skipped us. This was his response "you guys don't have it in the right place. I'm not going to deliver it. It's supposed to be out in the front". We were shocked and told him the one we had broke so we got a new one can we just get our mail we are right here. "YEAH and its in the wrong spot, so you guys can pick it up at the post office" He proceeds to walk away and we aren't going to argue because maybe he's right? So we drive down the neighborhood and LITERALLY every house has a mailbox next to the door. We went to the Post Office and complained because it was outright rude and out of our way to come and pick up our mail. Supervisor told us "oh its because you have dogs" REALLY...WE HAVE A GATE ABOUT 6FT IN FRONT OF OUR DOOR. THEY DROP OFF PACKAGES AT THE GATE NO PROBLEM, BUT A COUPLE OF MAIL THEY CANT DO? GIVE ME A BREAK. WE HAVE A SMALL JACK RUSSELL AND MALTESE. DONT GIVE ME BS THAT ITS THE DOGS FAULT. The mailman on my route is too lazy to put parcels right by the front door where it will be somewhat hidden and my parcels get stolen. Got a package yesterday that wasn't mine and mine wasn't even delivered, like they claim. There is a parcel box by the mailboxes, use it or make sure the package is hidden. Lazy government workers!! When I went to the post office, it took them forever to look around, that is after they passes me off to someone it took 10 minutes to find. Postage goes up why?????? I can see why this place only has 1 1/2 stars. I would actually drive further to stay away from this post office. They wouldn't allow me 4 strips of tape to attach the shipping label on an envelope I purchased through them. When I heard this, I said I'll purchase the tape then. Im assuming cuz there was a long line,The lady rolled her eyes, told me I needed my own tape next time and poorly stuck 4 small strips to my package. I was then rushed through the rest of the payment process. Again, perhaps of the long line.. But I don't think so. I come here more often than I would like to. I mean, who wants to spend their day waiting in long lines at the post office? There's always a really long line here, mostly because there's only 2 workers at the counter and because the customers are rarely ready. The workers are nice though, this one lady actually saved me money by offering another way to ship a package by using their priority mail instead of my own package. The worst experience I have ever had at a post office. I went in to mail three holiday cards and one mortgage payment. I had a stamp on one of the holiday cards, but I didn't have enough for the rest, so I went to a woman at the counter to ask for three more stamps because they didn't have a automated stamp machine. Her name was Kieu or possibly Hieu. She was an older woman, with medium length hair, and a grumpy face. She grabbed my cards and squeezed them for whatever reason she fancied, and then said I had to pay extra postage because they were "irregular sized." People, they were standard sized holiday cards, with just one card in each envelope. No money, no gift cards, nada. Just one holiday card per envelope. The standard cards you can buy at at Target, Walgreens, etc. I sighed and consented, as I had somewhere to be and didn't want to argue. Guess what? When she got to the one card that already had a stamp, she said "this one is ok" and apparently didn't need extra postage. ALL THE CARDS WERE THE SAME SIZE, SAME CARD. So I got charged extra on two of my three holiday cards because she FELT LIKE IT. She gave me a regular stamp for my mortgage payment and then, with all four envelopes in her hand, WALKED AWAY without a "goodbye" or "thank you, have a nice day" or any form of "okay, the transaction is now complete" sentence. Interesting that she just walked off, when most post office workers just drop the letters in the bins next to the desks. Why go off meandering with my letters? This was a few days before Christmas. It is now after Christmas, nearing New Year's, and my mortgage payment has yet to be cashed. I check my bank account every day and it has yet to be cashed. My holiday cards never made it. Thanks, Kieu. You really put your worst foot forward during the holiday season. Thanks for making me pay $15 to stop payment on the check and pay extra to rush another check in order to ensure my mortgage was paid on time. Thanks for being irresponsible so that my friends and family never received my holiday greetings. This is not to say that other staff are like her. The bald man with the European accent is usually very sweet. Too bad I didn't get him to help me this time around. read more

One of thee older rundown post offices around OC. Parking is not that bad like the others say but its the traffic that constantly comes in and out of this place that's makes it terrible. Not many Pros for this Location except theres never really a line. However there's usually only 1-2 employees working in front. No drop box for First Class Mail and Packages 13 ounces and lighter. There is no Vending machine for stamps. No Do-It-Yourself Station the one where you weigh your package pay for the postage and put it in the drop box. I would suggest going to the larger branches to insure your packages get to its destination safely. read more

You know it would be great if I went to the UNITED STATES post office and people actually spoke ENGLISH. Not one person spoke English. I was in line for what seemed a life time with only one employee helping people In line to ship items. Finally after 10 min another broken English ( which I guess is acceptable ) came in to work. I've been meaning to get around to this review for a while, and a review of a post office like this takes much more than one visit. Initially upon a single visit or maybe a few you probably would want to give it a bad review based on waiting in line etc. Which isn't always the case. The reason I'm giving this place a good review is because it deserves one. Yeah sometimes you'll wait in line, but that's the case almost anywhere when they're busy, and now days, people are just so impatient that they'll complain for a place simply being busy. Once you get past that, you can really see this is a great little post office. The people that work here are always helpful and friendly. You may see them chatting with some of the customers and that may make you angry because you're waiting. But calm down. There's nothing wrong with a little chatter between employees and the loyal customers that frequent places. I wish there was more of this to be honest in my daily life. We're so busy segregating ourselves from the rest of the world as we check status updates on our phone, we forget to interact with the people we come into contact with every day. It reminds me of when I was younger and grew up in a smaller town where everyone somewhat new each other, there's something really nice about that. So yes, you may have to wait, and their postal supplies are a bit over priced, but the employees and the service is great. Take some time, say hello, have a little chat, why not? If I can give this place negative 5 stars. I would !!! There were only 2 workers there, and man, they were the rudest people I ever met. I already paid for my package already, the flat rate ones. $7. Print out the label. I went in to drop it off but forgot to tape my label on. I asked the guy to tape it got me. Trust me I've done this before, never have a problem. The guy told me that sorry we can't do that. We don't tape label on for our customer. Uh excuse me. I just wanted 2 piece of tapes. All right, I was ok. He looked at my prepaid label and said. I printed It out on a Saturday night (18th) can't drop it off Sunday because they closed, so I came on a Monday (20th) and he told me that I was wrong for not dropping it Off on a sat. I was literally just wanna yell at him. He said that I'm gonna have to pay for that package again. I said can I use my $7 pre paid and I'll pay the rest. He said no. I can't use my $7. He told me I just lost my $7. And by the way, his Co worker, the lazy hears our conversation the whole rime And she actually said to me" yeah you just lost ur $7! " And my told me to pay $13 and change instead. I mean come on. Really?!? He told me I can talk to the superviser, I said ok, where is he?! One of Asian 50+year old staff here sometimes raises her voice to customer when giving information I or helping. She must be re-trained for customer service. In general, the customer service is not good at this location. In addition, a drop-off mail box should be placed outside the building/office, so people can drop off mail after business hour. Came on a Saturday a bit after 9 am for passport processing for a family of 3 and there were 4 people ahead of us. The lady who helped us was very fast and efficient, and we were out of there by 10:20. I was apprehensive at first because of the reviews I've read, but I have to give her credit for a great job. I am so glad this post office is open on a Saturday and early for passport processing. On Sept. 8, 17 days later we got our passports and all our documents back! This is a pretty bad usps store. The workers don't pick up the phone even during office hours. I called the store 4 times and all of them went to "no one is available to pick up the phone..." when they were still open. One of the workers got called out by a customer for not picking up the phone and all he said were along the lines that as long as no one knows then it's okay. I literally drive to the main post office in Westminster to avoid going to this post office. The supervisor Lucy is extremely unprofessional. She chats with customers about her need to find a soul-mate and someone to love her, while customers wait in line to be assisted. She jokes about another employee who cannot speak English fully. Out of all my years going to a post office , I never felt like disrespected . The cashier guy who was bald basically didn't like his job or enjoy doing it . I never once gave him an attitude . I didn't write my address on my envelope because it was all last minute so I asked him nicely do you guys have pens ? He just points at the corner where the pens should be . Usually other post offices have pens laying everywhere so I don't need to ask . Anyways I was waiting for this nice family to finish using the pen and after the bald guy finished with a customer he went to the corner and pointed that there was ALREADY a pen in front of me but at the same time I was texting so like I just felt it was so rude . After I wrote my address and had everything finished. He asked me what's inside the package ? I'm use to employees asking me "IS THERE ANYTHING LIQUID OR FLAMMABLE IN HERE OR BATTERIES?" but he straight up ask me what's INSIDE my package . I would of been happier with the other question , because I don't need to the person who is handling my package to KNOW what I'm shipping . If I could I'd give 0 stars. I've been shipping many boxes. Printing online, bringing them in and dropping them off. One of my packages I was shipping was returned, box was too big for flat rate so I had to get more postage, the Asian lady got upset and mad at me. I told her I've shipped many boxes the same way, I had no issue buying more postage, but the worker didn't have to be rude. She was basically yelling at me and kept telling me no. I ship flat rate small box. My measurements aren't the exact same as the boxes provided but the surface area is the same size. She tried to lecture me and tell me I'm wrong. Never do it again. Look lady, I shipped bigger boxes the same exact way and have had no issues. It's not a problem for me to pay for more postage, but your attitude and rudeness made this experience a really bad one. If you need a post office. Avoid this one. Also, there was a line with about 5 people, I was 3rd in line, and she was just talking to the other worker, while he other worker was trying to help all of us. read more

I went int to this postoffice to send my clients precious wedding album. Want to buy insurance but this clerk name Rolando was very discouraging me to buy ins. This man was very rude. I forgot my wallet that have cash / cc, but I only have quarters. He would not except quarters and would not let me talk to a superviser or manager. I cannot imagine USPS with no supervision, maybe thats why employee can do what ever or treat customer the way this man did. Very unhappy with USPS of Westminster, CA. I ordered a birthday present for my brother. Very excited when I was notified that the package was delivered. When I got home, no package was in the mailbox. I contacted USPS and opened a claim #. I was told I would be contacted within 3 days to resolve issue. Never got a call back. Called a second time and spoke with a very rude lady who was very unhelpful. Was told the manager would look into issue and call me back. Again, no return phone call. Called for a third time and was told that the notation on my claim # was that i had been contacted and the issue has been resolved. This was obviously a lie and very discouraging to have my file changed to just make the problem disappear. Very unprofessional. Claim # was reopened for further investigation and I have still yet to hear back from the post office. Today is 11/26/2014 and issue started 11/14/2014. I have since reorder my item and spend more money an the same gift. Unhappy customer losing trust in USPS. Willing to use UPS & FedEx as a more reliable alternative. read more
