Packages left by the door because they were closed
Ray D.

What is going on with this post office? In recent months they have been opening late, closing early and even taking random lunch breaks with no warning or business hour updates. I was here last week at 1:45pm and they were closed. Packages were left outside by the door and at least 4 customers left. I looked for a sign, but couldn't find one but luckily when I was about to leave an old Asian lady opened the doors. That was 2:05pm. Today to play it safe I decided to go at 2:20 pm and once again the post office was closed. This time there was a hand scribbled note that said that they were on lunch and would reopen at 2:45 pm. Ridiculous!! At least have the decency to update your business page, yelp and Google of intended breaks or change of business hours. Everyone is busy and it really is an inconvenience

Tint parcel drop

I am here right now and they are closed. Do you guys even have set hours anymore or is it whenever you feel like opening? So many upset customers outside complaining about the same thing. To top it of the drop box is tiny and my packages do not fit.

Sounds like a lot of people have had poor experiences here. Thankfully, mine wasn't too bad, but it could have been much better. There were only 9 people ahead of me, but many of them didn't properly package their items. This wasted around 10 mins of the employees' time showing them how to properly wrap a package. Some of these were easy to do, such as sending in a fixed rate priority mail box. There were only two postal workers manning the front, so you can do the math of how long it took altogether. It would have been more efficient if the postal workers told the unprepared customers to step aside so the next customer could send their package, instead of holding up the line. Eventually, it was my turn and it took 2 mins since I came prepared. FYI, it costs only $1.15 to send a lettered envelope to France. The postal worker was nice and apologized for the wait. It wasn't their fault, but I can see this location being frequented by unprepared customers who bring their mailing items and expecting the postal workers to help them properly package them.

Line is always long

Came to the branch at 5:35pm and it was closed. They really need to update the operating hours on yelp to keep people informed.

My purpose was dropping off some military care packages overseas for the "FIRST TIME". I had my custom forms already printed, and just needed to attach them which she prompted me to do. One thing I had noticed was how curt she was with our interaction but that wasn't an issue, I understand we're all busy. But after her directing me to attach the customs forms, as I was working on that in the office I noticed when other customers asked her questions or asked for assistance, she rolled her eyes and would just say "oh my god". Rude af. Whatever- so I go back to her to drop off the packages after attaching the customs form and she takes my packages and just prints me out a tracking. I leave but as I'm walking out I realize that I hadn't had to pay postage which confused me since I I never paid online with the customs form- it just gave me an estimate based on my package info and weight . I didn't want to risk having the shipment sent back or destroyed because of unpaid postage so I go back inside and ask her about it. That's when she gives me the nastiest attitude and says "why didn't you tell me that first" and I said "that's why I'm asking you and double checking right now?" And she just proceeds to roll her eyes and basically scold me for not letting her know- but isn't it your job to make sure these packages are paid for (?) I'm generally patient as someone who also works in a customer facing job, but this was extremely frustrating and I tell her "like I had prefaced I had the customs forms printed, but in no way did I ever say I prepaid for my labels? Also I also said this was my first time sending packages overseas to a military member and you would think you would care to double check since this is your job?" Mind you up to this point I had been nice with our interactions and genuinely just curious and wanting to take the correct steps but Nhu was just extremely judgmental and acting like she didn't want to help. Only until I had asked for her name, and a huge line of people started to form behind me did she finally switch her attitude. Unfortunately at the end of this I wasn't even able to ship my packages because of a zip code issue. I ended up going to a different usps afterwards for better help with this issue. So thanks for nothing nhu.

The dramatic sigh upon arriving at my doorstep? Absolutely unmatched. You truly have to admire someone who can summon that level of soul-crushing exhaustion after a brutal shift of sitting behind a wheel and running a one man gossip operation directly in front of my driveway. Must be rough. Most delivery professionals just hand you a package and move on with their lives. Mine suffers through it like he's delivering bad news to a widow. There's an artistry to that level of theatrics. A commitment, really. Every visit, I'm gently reminded that my package has personally ruined this man's day, his week, possibly his will to live and honestly, that kind of emotional storytelling is criminally underrated in the logistics industry. Five stars for the performance. One star deducted per sigh, per gossip session held in my driveway, and per ounce of audacity. Would not recommend if you'd like your package delivered with anything resembling human warmth or basic professionalism but perfect if you enjoy receiving parcels alongside a side of guilt and neighborhood drama. Truly a bold career choice for someone this lazy, this dramatic, and this committed to being the block's unpaid correspondent. My tax dollars, hard at work. Find a new calling, bro. Godspeed.

About 40 years ago I remember going in another area for this service and that why I was asking. I remember that being in the south east end of the building not inside the general post office. He rudely said get in line for questions. He was sitting alone at the desk and we made eye contact. He could have said yes, get in line for that, but the shortness was not needed of his reply he said it twice like I was an idiot. lol, then I got in line where he motioned me to go and it turns out that was the front of the line and I was at the back of the line when I first asked him. After I walked back and forth in the Post office and finally got to the correct place in line making a scene because he wasn't quite about anything so neither was I. The same guy J.T. Called my name out for the passport renewal. I just laughed and said it was my lucky day and that was me! He didn't need to make it so difficult and rude. This carried out during the entire process of the paperwork. He had to leave for a second to make a copy and the other poster worker next to him was having a lovely conversation about Boston with a family. I wish I got him. The postal manager of this branch should put Someone else in charge of this service. Most people are excited to get this process done because it means they are going out of the country for most times something fun. JT shouldn't be the guy doing this service because he just can't keep his mouth shut and goes into his personal political beliefs.

He shorted me on change by 10 cents. It's not much but I felt nickle and dimed. He tried to upsell me on priority mail when all I had was a simple piece of mail that just needed a basic stamp. The priority mail quote was $6.70, and I had planned to send my mail for less than a dollar. When I asked if I can get first class mail since what I'm sending is not urgent, he said he couldn't give me tracking. WTF. All the other times I have been to a USPS branch, they will let you send your mail first class with tracking. Not this location. For some reason he said first class has no tracking and if I want tracking I need to upgrade to priority mail. This is false information. Avoid at all costs.
