Should've read the reviews before booking my sons passport appointment here. NOW I know why this is the only post office with open appointments for passports. First of all I wasn't helped until 20 minutes after my time slot. No one tells you anything, you just sit and hope someone is doing their job. Then upon calling me, the lady asks if I need picture services, which I specified when I made the appointment. I said yes she said "oh no, you don't have photo you need to go home... baby's cry." Umm WHAT?! I told her "NO WE ARE GONNA TRY TO TAKE HIS PHOTO" that's what I had the appointment for. She was not going to even try to take my 1 year old sons photo... The person who is responsible for passport service at this place is horrible. He acted as though he is the king and not to be bothered. I tried to politely ask him to confirm if my appointment is on the list which he is holding. It's probably takes him couple seconds, but no, he brushed off my question, and hurried into his office. The problem is you made an appointment online, showed up early for your appointment, wait, and wait, and wait. When it's pass your appointment time, you have no clue if your name is on his list or something went wrong and it's not on his list. I rather go home if my name is not on the list than sitting there waiting for who knows how long. I actually find this post office more convenient than the one closer to my house on Goldenwest st. I originally had to pick up a package here which is how I found out about this location. This has ample parking right in front. They have a drop off outside their building & they have a self service kiosk inside. It definitely helps speed up the process because everyone knows how going to the post office can be such a drag. The workers have way better attitudes than the location close to me too. I understand being understaffed, but I made an appointment to have my child's passport done at 11:45AM. It is currently 12:45PM, and I was just seen. But instead of processing my application and moving to the next, the person decided now was an appropriate time to process people who had later appointments. I would've walked out already, but she took my documents before deciding she was changing the way she was doing things. I suppose this is me venting, but I would 100% tell everyone to avoid this post office like the plague because it's run pretty poorly. I had a different experience from everyone else's reviews. I scheduled an appointment for my kids' passports at this location because it was near my home. I read all of the reviews and prepared myself for the worst experience since their passports were a must, and going to the post office was unavoidable. I printed out the applications, made copies of the necessary documents, attached the passport photos using paper clips, and stacked everything in order. I also wrote the check in advance, following the website's instructions on where to include the applicant's name, DOB, etc. I was confident that I had everything they required. On the day of the appointment, my husband, kids, and I arrived 15 minutes early, checked in with the clerk, and were instructed to wait in the lobby. They were 45 minutes behind schedule, so we had to wait until all the families ahead of us were done. Nancy would call each applicant or parent from each family in to review the paperwork and ensure that everything was provided. Nancy would call the name three times, and if not showed up, she would mark the person as canceled. If something were missing, they would either (1) be turned away and required to make another appointment or (2) complete the packet if it was only minor things (e.g., forget to write a check). Once the paperwork was reviewed for completion, I was told to wait for Nhu, who processed the paperwork. However, because of a lack of time, Nancy stepped in and processed our paperwork. This time, she caught three minor issues: (1) the additional phone number cannot be blank, and I needed to fill in my phone number again or a different phone number; (2) the middle name had to match exactly as it was on the Driver's License (my husband often tells me to skip his middle name initial); and (3) I forgot to sign my checks (shit, shit, shit). So, even though I had checked everything beforehand, Nancy was able to identify these errors, help me correct them, review them again, and process all of the paperwork. The post office fee for minors is $35 per application, which can be paid by card, but the application fee ($100) must be paid BY CHECK to the Department of State. I am sure that the post office staff are underpaid and overworked, which may sometimes cause them to be negative. However, if you come prepared and expect them to be behind schedule (unless you get the day's first appointment), I am confident that they will not make it difficult for you. read more

DO NOT use the mailbox outside this post office to drop off pre paid small bubble mailers. I sell jewelry and twice in the past 2 1/2 months I have mailed two of these to customers with tracking numbers. The tracking numbers show that they never went anywhere after being dropped off. Although I mostly sell earrings both of those packages happened to be custom charm bracelets which leads me to believe the packages were not lost but stolen. This Post Office has horrendous customer service. They have two of the worst mail clerks here, a dark hair middle aged man and middle age blonde haired woman with a ponytail. They refused my prepaid packages and said "We don't accept Flat Rate/Priority Mail from Poshmark here in Westminster." I tried to tell them that I had mailed packages multiple times from there with the same label which states that USPS accepts Flat Rate/Priority Shipping. The smug Woman told me that "She could not be fired". Later on the same day, I went to the Huntington Beach Post Office and mailed my packages with no problem and professional, polite customer service. It is unfortunate that these rude, unprofessional individuals represent Federal Civilian Employees for the Post Office. At the counter I was passed around with two people and they told to go pickup from another location so drove there but they said don't have it and sent me back here to speak with the supervisor, waited for about an hour for still no supervisor. I was there today because I recently became U.S. citizen and my mom told me that she went to that U.S. Post Office in order to turn in her application and the rest of the paper work for her U.S. passport. Now it was my time to go and I drove 26 miles to get there and it was an easy and quick process. Horrible horrible experience. How is Nancy employed with this company? I came in today carrying my ESA dog (Yes, I was carrying him because it was never an issue with other front desk workers as long as I held him, it was okay) but it wasn't for her, she said no pets allowed even though I told her he's an ESA animal. I just wanted to do a quick transaction so I left my dog back in the car in 80 degree weather. When I came back, she then insisted for me to use one of the automated kiosk when no other customers we're around. I told her I've tried in the past but it never worked. She brushed me off like she did not want to help me at all. After I told her I want to file a complaint, she then helped me and gave me a rude smirk. Furthermore, she wouldn't let me take a picture of the package, so I can send proof I sent to the recipient. Came here a Saturday at 8AM for passport service, didn't get served until 11am. When it was our turn they sent us home for bringing in "fake documents" without even looking at the passport documents or anything. When trying to ask what we needed, one of the workers refused to tell us what was wrong and said, "everything you have is fake," that included the application form we had gotten from the same post office, our old unexpired passports, and a notary letter we needed. Super weird. Don't come here for passports. They don't want to make the process simple, they want to do as little to no work as possible, and if they can drive out more people the better. He gets bad reviews because people come in without the proper required documents and he rejects their request bc it's against the law, so people flip out on him.
