Horrible service and never answer their phone. It's no wonder the post office is losing money!!!!!

Google says they are open on saturday... BUT THEY ARE NOT! We drove here to find out that only the p.o.box area is open, I sugest someone makes sure they update their stuff! read more

Every time my regular postman is off; his replacement (if he actually has one) never comes to deliver or pick up my mail. No wonder so many people use the internet to mail payments, letters etc. The service has a lot to be desired! read more

Received a letter that informed me that my package was ready to pick up. On the letter it said they open at 730 am during the week. I show up and the office is closed so I call the number to the post office and it said they open at 8 am. Once 8 am came around the office still wasn't open for business. I noticed a old faded note that said "As of 12/05/2010 the Post Office Will Now Open At 9 am". I couldn't wait that long and headed off to work. The next day I came back at 9 and the Office informed me that the package is out for delivery. Damn it!! The only bright spot of the Whittier Post Office is the walk in passport service. However, that bright spot is quickly dimmed with the terrible customer service they provide. Avoid if you can!! read more

This is Whittier's main post office and it looks very tiny from the outside because, well, it's not that big. The thing is, they are pretty efficient here. I remember once having to put a stop on my mail for a vacation. I thought that it was going to end up being a clusterf#$% because something out of the norm with the USPS tends to be. Well, you know what? It wasn't. I was able to do it online, I went in after my vacay to retrieve my mail and I was 5th in line and was in and out within 10 minutes. read more

Although you wouldn't know it by looking at the building itself and its non-central location, this is Whittier's main post office. And despite everything you know about slow customer service at post offices, this one has some of the fastest lines I've ever seen at a post office, and I've spent many hours of my life at these places. If the line isn't fast enough, they also have an APC machine, which is easy to use. My only beef with this post office is that when you mail a letter from here, it's postmarked Long Beach. That cannot be efficient. read more

In the business world, returning phone calls is critical. Since I was not getting my phone calls returned I went in person first thing in the morning to the Michigan office and was informed they were busy and if I could back in a few hours, I work full time and stated I could not return therefore, I left my business card for someone to call me, no difference I still have not received a call back. I work in a office and I make sure I return all calls within a reasonable time usually the same day, in worse case the following day. Professional etiquettes need to be followed by all businesses and the Post Office is not exempt. read more

I always enjoy that post office. I'm always shipping over seas and they're always very nice and keep me informed and give me extra customs slips for future transactions. Once even saved me money by suggesting a different type usps box instead of not saying anything and me paying up the butt to send it lol. Good post office read more

So there are a total of 2 post offices in Whittier one off of Mulberry which is bigger than the one off of this post office... However, this post office from what I have seen clearly doesn't have much of a line for passports which is a good thing, especially since the new law about needing the passport to come over from Mexico..... Anyways this postal service is pretty quick and efficient. read more

These four stars are for the postal worker who helped me today. Renee was unfortunately stuck working the counter all by herself but when it was my turn to get help she was pleasant, professional and even though she seemed a bit tired - she was cheerful. I know how that is especially late afternoon when you're watching the clock and thinking only a couple more hours to go... but I appreciate her being a trooper especially on a rainy day like today - she was a little bit of sunshine in that old dreary post office on Michigan. read more

I shipped a package while I was out of town (in Seattle) and it was headed to North Hollywood, CA. Because of some minor errors the package did not reach its destination, but went a few towns over. I had a very good experience here, there was no line at all, and a lady named Renee was very pleasant when I came to pick up my package.

This place lacks professionalism and customer service. Made a complaint on May 20th, got a call from Mario and said someone will reach back to me regarding the complaint I made. No one has reach out to me from that office and it's been a week already. I keep calling back over 10 times daily to (562)696-4043 and no one answers or bothers to give a call back, voice mail is full and I'm pretty sure they have a caller id but won't bother to reach out to their customers. One of my biggest complaints was that my mail was delivered to other neighbors and I also received my neighbors mail. Then they lost a package. I don't understand if the package had a tracking code that they needed to scan before delivering. How is it that they lost it or misplaced in another home? I need my money back for ordering my stuff again due to the bad service and management that has not try to reach out to me. Will get to corporate soon because obviously this office is to busy or to slow even lazy to reach back to their customers and fix the complaints. read more

My wife wanted a simple address change from old residents .They transferred everyone's mail who lived there to us and she just wanted her mail.It took 4 attempts to get it semi right.Its still not right but we will not be going back to that post office again.Stay away read more

This place is so horrible. Always a huge line and 1 or 2 attendants at the front. In addition when you need to take care of business there isn't a supervisor around to help you and/or you are told to come back in 10 minutes. Really?! Am I disturbing your break? I have a mail slot in my door. I get my neighbors mail constantly and have my neighbors bring me mail that was wrongly delivered to them. I've had mail that I never received and don't find out about it until I receive a late notice or a phone call. Trying to call the postmaster to complain is a joke. They expect you to wait on hold 30 plus minutes and then the phone disconnects and you have to call again. read more

I write this on the 17th. I ordered 2 costumes for my sisters. On the 15th I wondered what was taking so long. I checked the tracking and it said package was attempted on the 9th. Called the post office and only got a ringing phone. Scheduled a reattempt for today, Saturday the 17th. Waited all day today for the mail man. Obviously the mail man had no packages when he came by and ran across the street when I wanted to talk to him. Worthless. Lets use UPS and destroy the U.S. Postal Service. read more

The first woman was very short with us -- a bit rude really, sort of like the stereotypical DMV employee. The second woman was very nice and helpful to us. Dishonest postman! I tried to call this office for hours because I was waiting on a package for weeks. The website said the first attempt was made but we were not available to provide a signature. Well, we never received any note about the first attempt. After 2 hours of trying to call this office, I talked to a manager at this post office who told me my package will be delivered the next day. I waited all day the next day, no package... So... I went up to the post office the next morning and got the package myself at 10am. My package was sitting at the post office the whole time. The funny thing is that when the postman delivered my mails on that day, he put a note in my mailbox stating we missed the delivery again for the same package. My house camera shows the postman had no package in his hand and never attempted to knock on my door for my signature. He could not have because I picked my own package up the same morning! We didn't miss him, he just never really deliver the package! He simply put a note in my mailbox as I missed the redelivery! This mailman is dishonest and lack of work ethics. I hope this is an independent incident. read more

Michigan post office did not answered my calls. Poor customer service. Instead of resolving an issue over the phone, I will have to go in person and fix the issue. Honestly USPS needs to get better at their customer service over the phone. The automated service is horrible too because I'm asking for a customer service representative by pressing number zero and the respond is that the representative only knows what the automate service knows and to call again. Wow this is ridiculous. I don't want the automate service to tell me what I can already look up through the tracking website. The purpose of calling customer service is to get answers to my questions that obviously haven't been answered through the tracking website. It is very frustrating dealing with USPS poor customer service. I ended calling another 800 number and pressing zero and I got hold of someone and explain the situation. I was transfer to tracking department and waited for about 20 minutes. Finally I got a hold of a representative, I explain my situation and she opened a case to investigate where is the package and it takes 2-3 business days. read more

By far the most pleasant experience I've had when dealing with usps. I've had issues with wrong delivery address's caused by the sender and the staff here went out of there way to make sure that the packages would be there for me to pick up later on that day rather then them sending it back to sender.. When other offices throughout various states would say that they could not contact the carrier these 2 gentleman did so and got both instances fixed for me. Kudos to Mando and I believe Richie was the second person to assist me.. WELL DONE GUYS!!! read more

we have horrible home delivery. always getting neighbors mail. we have complained to route mailmen & to office mgr. no one cares, or even bother to listen. so, we rented a po box, @ over $340 yearly! now we have gotten other peoples mail in our po box! where is our mail going?? during feb. i was missing 2 cc statements. whose box were they put into? we recently had attempted fraud & attempted id theft! we always return mail that does not belong to us. but are other people doing the same? scary!!!! this office is very busy, and people behind counter do not want to listen to complaints. read more

Paid for signature confirmation, waited for my package on the day of delivery and nothing. Got a text saying my package was delivered and signed with my initials. Requested a scan of the signature and it was 2 lines for signature, 3 lines for the address?? Called the post office spoke with Reuben who is really nice and always helpful. He deserves 5 stars because he's not the problem here. He called me back and it turned out the postman signed for my package himself and claimed he dropped it off on my porch. He did sign for it himself but dropped it off on my neighbors porch. 30 minutes later the postman comes back to get my signature but refused to answer why he signed for a package himself and just kept holding his signature pad up at my face. So just like delivery confirmation means nothing, neither does signature confirmation. Wouldn't this be considered mail fraud if I was signing for packages that weren't mine? read more
