My mail has been placed in the neighbors box 2-3x a week for months. And I'm getting theirs. There have been long periods of Saturdays mail belonging to people 5-6 blocks away. Great by day, when associates are there, but don't expect to be able to use the automated machine and drop box after hours - it is locked! I wish there was a way for them to keep that open for use as they once were at other USPS locations. Other than that, parking is plentiful, and it is usually convenient to mail things from here! read more

This is a great USPS location! I went in to get my passport renewed and while they don't offer photos there, they are very on top of it when it comes to sending paperwork in. The associate knew exactly which envelope to use and the type of tracked shipping that would be best for me. The whole process was very quick and I was so impressed with their knowledge of the process. I feel confident that I got the best deal and option and was happy to be out of there in about 5 minutes! read more

Worst experience ever. We had to go to this post office 3 times trying to change our PO box to our new address. We even filled out a 3 way which was requested. The lady at the desk said that was the last thing we had to do. Then I got more mail from USPS saying we need to both bring in additional information bill or license or passport proving we had this address as our POB? Why would we have any proof if we were just using this POB for a temporary mail solution. We only had our POB open for 1 month. In the end no resolution and no closing of our POB. So we decided to keep it open and keep the key!! Beyond Ridiculous!! There has to be an easier way to resolve this issue. We will have a key for a lifetime that someone else could end up using for a POB! read more

As good as it gets for a USPS. Every time ive been there i accomplished what i needed with friendly service. They have a self service kiosk that works well - i wish it sold the fancy stamps not quickprint ones. Today dec 11 (busy holiday shipping) they had all five counters working and they looked to be working quickly and providing good service. I work for an International company. And sometimes we have to ship small amount, a quart or less, of diesel to be analyzed by a lab. And we do this all over the United States. I'm not the only one who is shipping this kind of packages. According to USPS website, you are allowed to ship diesel by USPS. https://pe.usps.com/text/pub52/pub52c3_021.htm Section 343.24 e. But, the clerk who helped me did not know this, and asked her manager. Her manger, Michael Mo, wasn't sure either. Then another employee brought an old book with restricted materials at USPS that stated diesel wasn't accepted. Although I have stated that their website clearly shows that diesel is acceptable, Michael insisted, he will lose his job if they accepted diesel at their counter, in the ruckus of the whole argument, he even implied that the package that I wrote 'Diesel Fuel' could be a lie and may contain gasoline, which obviously cannot be shipped by USPS. I was very disappointed with is accusation.. Where do they get these people? I live in the neighborhood and pass thru Woodinville everyday, and yet, Not being able to do business here makes me very frustrated because of employees who are ignorant of their own rules and regulations. I also would like to add, I have shipped diesel at this exact post office here two years ago without any problems. At the time, the clerk asked me what was in the box, and I said 'diesel'. He casually told me to write 'diesel' on the package, and accepted without a hitch. Now, I don't know if the Michael is a new manger or not, and that he had not had time to read up on their own policies. I hope everyone who works here get caught up with their policies, so the community can be better served by this important government agency. read more

The worst experience at a post office in my 60yrs on the planet....Postal employee My has the absolute worst customer service... instead of receiving my Amazon return, he proceeded to school me on how they don't get paid by Amazon for the returns because Amazon is to cheap....and had I just dropped it off he wouldn't have been able to school me on how this all works... he started yelling at me while I'm line while he was helping another patron... of which I asked him to save it tell it was my turn instead of ignoring the person he was supposed to be helping...and then I got an earful and he makes sure everyone hears as well... my experience at Woodinville post office was embarrassing and humiliating and I will NEVER go back!!!! I go out of my way to use this post office over others in the area. The staff are sincerely nice and helpful. Well lit. Lots of space for laying out,/organizing packages (I send a lot). Rarely a line on weekdays and when there is a line it moves quickly. Definitely recommend. read more

USPS consistently will not deliver to my home. Yet they tell Amazon that it has been delivered however it is being held at the post office with takes me over an hour to go to wait in line and get my packages. USPS are crooks. Was given a ridiculous price to mail a very small and light package which I was informed was the cheapest option. I responded there was no way it costs that much to mail that, took my package and left. Found another option which was faster and less than half the cost. I usually come here for mail services. Today I purchased 2 money orders as well as a prepaid priority mail. The staff was very friendly. Though there was a line when I got there, it moved really fast and I waited for barely 5 minutes. I appreciate the friendliness and efficiency of the staff there. read more

Really frustrating repetitive problem: I try and use the parcel drop when they are closed & a parcel is jammed on the "drop" side so the rotating chute will not open. And while frustrating for me - the damage that must be done to the parcel that is stuck must pretty awful. I was here again today 1/5, there were clearly workers in back and two of us tried all doors, yelling, knocking, phoning without any response or assistance. Just went to my second US Post Office to drop a couple packages off. The first location had the drop box locked so I head over to this Woodinville office. I can hear workers back in the sorting area talking but the drop box is so full that the drop door only partially opens but doesn't close either. My boxes won't go in but I do notice a flat rate envelope stuck in the back of the trap door along with someone's election ballot that got tore in half. Back when I ran regular errands out to Woodinville, I would swing by this post office if I had to drop something off. Very dingy, very slow. Best thing is to access this one for the drive-through mail boxes only. Otherwise, prepare to spend some time catching up with your Facebook friends via your smart phone while you wait. read more

I have lived in Woodinville for nearly 2 decades now. Things worked fine at this post office a couple of years ago. I don't know if it is just the stupid policies that recent congresses have inflicted on the service or if something has gone really wrong with this post office but there are problems galore these days. I regularly receive mail intended for other recipients with either wrong addresses or names that don't live at this address (again, been here nearly 2 decades). During Christmas time, a bunch of our mail (addressed properly) was returned to senders prompting confusion and the need to reconfirm information with companies we do business with. The latest fiasco... an RX package with a tracking number that had a status of out for delivery for 4 days with no update. Call the post office to inquire and I'm told the carrier will deliver it today. What the heck? Is it just sitting on their truck all week? This makes no sense to me at all. And I'm provided with no explanation for the delay whatsoever. I'm a true supporter of our postal service and I hate the legislation that our politicians have implemented that sabatoge this service so that it is operating on skeleton crews, etc. But this is some of the worst service I've seen from this organization ever. It does not inspire confidence. I don't see anyone there caring about what we post here or doing anything to improve it (and I'm sure the sharks (politicians) are seeing blood in the water with this organization and want to see its demise in favor of private companies who will not provide the same services at the costs we are used to paying for them). It makes me sad. This is a town with a vibrant business sector and good tax base and we still can't seem to provide the most basic of services. Like actually delivering mail. Truly poor service. My post office for over ten years. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you forgot to fill out a form, they hand it to you and ask you to fill it out at an open desk and then bring it right back (you don't have to go to the end of the line). They have a good inventory of the new stamps to purchase. I have never had a problem with vacation holds. Lobby area is open 24/7 so you can use the computer kiosk to ship packages on your time (although sometimes the drop box will fill up, so you might have to wait until the next business day to drop off your package but at least you have it all ready to go). Bonus - it is a Pokémon Go PokéStop. read more

TL;DR version at bottom. Seriously an awful place to ship anything. I've had ~10 incidences with this post office in the last year, from missing packages to unexplained delays. This last time was one of the worst. A couple weeks before, I was tracking a package online. It got to the Woodinville PO and went out for delivery on Wednesday, went BACK, sat there for 3 days, and then was sent to... RENTON?!?! I only found out because I got an apologetic email from the Renton PO, and it took almost another week to get the package. I tried several times to call, but the phone rang so long it finally just switched off. I figured I would come in with my aunt while she shipped her package and lodge a complaint then. When we arrived, there were kids playing on the floor in front of the line. When we were called up, we had to go around the kids and the clerk (her name was Cyd) just kept impatiently saying "HERE!" and waving us up even though she could see we were stuck. When we got to her, I asked if my aunt's package applied for media mail, and Cyd asked what was in it. Mostly books, movies and graphic novels, but there were some other non-book things in there, maybe a sixth of the overall weight of the package. But before I could explain this, she heard me say "comics" and cut me off with a spiel about how comics don't count because they have ads. I tried to explain that these didn't have ads because they were graphic novels. I had pictures of the contents of the box to show her what I meant, but before I could reach my phone or finish my explanation, she rolled her eyes and cut the box open, defensively saying she's allowed to do it under such and such law. Then she pulled out non-book stuff, saying, "This isn't media mail, you need a separate box," with this little smirk like we had done something wrong and she had caught us. I wanted to tell her we were fine with paying. Sure, we were disappointed that we didn't qualify for the cheaper option, but we weren't trying to cheat her and didn't appreciate being treated like we were. But she started shoveling all of the stuff out of the box, and I had to tell her to stop because we wanted to ship everything in the same package. So she rolled her eyes, sighed and started throwing everything into a messy pile in the box and shoving everything down so hard I thought it was going to break. I told her to hold on so I could organize things, and she rolled her eyes again and stomped off to find the tape. After we rearranged everything and the box was taped, I could finally say something without her cutting me off. So I told her very calmly again that graphic novels did NOT have ads, and because they are collector's items we didn't want the stuff just shoved in there so it could dent the covers and such. So she gave us the snottiest IDGAF face, stamped "Fragile" on it about 20 times and harder than necessary, and dropped it hard on the back table as if to say, There, happy? We all walked away feeling like crap, and I hadn't even had the chance to lodge my complaint because we had been hurried along. My aunt who is normally very kind and shy, had been the one to pay for the package and its contents, and she hadn't gotten in more than two words while Cyd was manhandling her stuff because she kept cutting us off and being all-around rude. None of us appreciated being treated that way, and we especially didn't appreciate having our package thrown around in front of us by someone with the attitude of a sulky teenager. I would highly suggest you take your business to Pony Mailbox instead just down the street. They are kind and polite and have the licenses to ship wine as well. TL;DR version: RUDE EMPLOYEES WILL LOSE/MANHANDLE YOUR MAIL. PHONES DON'T WORK. CYD WAS THE WORST. GO TO PONY MAILBOX INSTEAD. read more

I took my package in to ship as a return and kindly asked to have a piece of packaging tape on the top to seal the box. The male clerk offers scotch tape and I mentioned it will probably not work so of I could please get the packaging tape that will be better. The male clerk replies with... "Sorry we cannot provide a piece of packing tape because the post office has had a $5 million dollar loss. And we can get fired for that." He goes on to say that I should buy the roll of packing tape(to bring in the loss of $$$$$), which is true, but as a courtesy he could have just offered some great customer service and helped out with a piece of tape! For my purposes, the Woodinville Post Office is "a-ok". I go once every few months when I'm in the area and need to mail something. It is very small, with like ten parking spots out front, and usually 2 employees at the counter. The drive-thru mail drop is convenient and the people there are friendly enough. The merchandise is also labeled very clearly. I would avoid peak times because it is so small and lines can go out the door but really, when is it not a peak time? read more

I don't get the negative feedback but maybe I have just been lucky or maybe my bar is too low, because compared to most other US Post Office I have been to, this one actually fairs quite well. Sure, they are busy, sure there are lines, sure they are not perfect (hence the 4 and not 5 stars), but they have always been courteous and super helpful giving me the all the pricing options and getting my stuff from A to B. The staff is wonderful and ready to crack a joke even when the Christmas shipping season is in full swing. I pay for my few $ for my packaging tape and that's how it should be. read more

Went to this post office to mail a letter. Spoke to this front-desk clerk , who was obviously needs to be trained in customer service. Rude, confrontational, and unhelpful. She even mishandled my mail by snatching it from my hand (papers crumpled). She refused to serve me when I asked about her mishandling of my letter. I filed a complaint with her supervisor, and the matter is referred to the head of the post office branch. As I walked to the outer part of the post office, a gentleman who apparently was behind me and watched that front-desk lady in her crappy mood told me that she was terrible and it was fairly common that she is rude to customers there. Considering that the Woodinville post office is a public entity, I hope they treat customers with courtesy and stop mishandling mail. Follow-up: The complaint I filed was acted upon, but the issues of denial of service and mishandling of mail was completely ignored. Apparently, the front-desk clerk belongs to union and there is only so much that could be done by her supervisors. read more

Woodinville post office is very poor service, i stop by the post office at least 2 times a week to mail packages, and every time i have to wait in line for too long to get to the clerks, there are only 2 window clerks assisting a long line. I never have a chance to talk to the postmaster about this issue, every time when i ask for postmaster, the clerks always respond, "my boss is not here", and transfer me a supervisor who speaks broken English, and useless, i had a very hard time to understand his language, i am very unhappy with this post office, and will address this issue to upper level management if it continues on. one horrible star! read more

The review of the Woodinville PO is '3' because some employees are great, but others would get about a -10 on a scale of 1-5. I see that several reviewers have criticized the clerk named Kappy. I've seen her seek out elderly Japanese or Black, foreigners, any who can't understand and she is pathetically abusive as if they're stupid. She pulls it on nice middle American white folk, too. I complained 10years and was told that they would terminate her if she didn't improve. Well, today she waste 10 min talking and not working and then launched into a "humorous story" about how her son put 3 shock colors on one dog to watch him twitch and pop 3 times when he tried to go through the invisible fence. I told her it was animal abuse, rude and illegal and would file a complaint. "Go ahead." I've heard she has "personal issues" but does that a) forgive her actions or b) qualify her as a postal worker. In general the service is OK but slow and inconsistent in putting mail in boxes. I've been using this facility 3-4 times per week for 32 years and it hasn't improved. read more
