    Passport office hours

Bellevue post office. Came after the holiday rush, but still quite a long line. The postal employees were very efficient and cordial, and the line moved along as best as could be expected. The layout of both the parking lot and the inside is not great, finding odd spots to either park or wait. There are huge banks of PO boxes near the rear, but the only entrance is the same one shared by the queue of people waiting for service. If the line is more than 4 people, you will have people constantly jostling to get through. They also have a passport office here, but were closed when we came.

Stopped in to mail a few things. The place is pretty clean. However, the service could be better. Though the line was pretty long, only 2 clerks were working the front. The clerks are very friendly. Convenient location.

I haven't had any interaction with the employees at this location. I've come here to drop off mail. I've been here a handful of times and each time have noticed the boxes where PO Box holders stick other people's mail into have been overflowing. There's also been a long line for the counter. The parking lot here is not user friendly. You have to enter from around the back, go through the narrow lane that is one-way at 10 mph so no one back's into you and try to find parking before you go around the building and discover the dozen spots are full and you get to drive around the building again. There are no blue boxes outside to drop off mail.

How bad are they at putting mail in the appropriate place? This return box looks like an art installation. If only it were....

It is always easy to find a parking spot get in and get what you need. Andy and the rest of the crew are very helpful too.

The post office has come through a few times. I have mailed items and shipped as well via the post office.

Maj and Mike were very helpful and friendly. I took awhile to wrap all my packages and Maj helped me figure out which boxes to use.

The last time I was here, I was second in line. The clerk closed the door in my face after helping the lady in front of me. I yelled out "hey" and knocked on the door to get her to help me. There are signs posted everywhere that they are closed to the public and to go to the Bel Red post office if you have any business at all besides getting a residential package. The building looks like a prop from a WWII movie - really needs major renovation. The parking lot is large but needs to be repaved with a lot of loose gravel and holes.

I was told that the box would be delivered to my home on Friday but it didn't arrive until Monday. What happened wasn't the store's fault but the driver who said they attempted delivery but did not. We were home the whole time they said they would deliver as they gave us a timeframe, then I got a message on my phone that they attempted delivery but they did not. On that Monday I saw a UPS delivery truck in our neighborhood and asked the driver about my package that I was having delivered to myself and he said it was not on the truck. So he said he would make a note of it when he got back to the office. However, a few hours later, I see this same driver carrying my box up to my front door and that was very nice of him since he knew I had been waiting for it since Friday.

I wonder what's taking so long for them to be back in stock, does their restock keep lost in the mail? This location only gets two stars instead of one star because Karen is the nicest USPS worker out there. I feel like she has worked there for as long as I've lived in Issaquah and she always goes above and beyond to help me and my family, sometimes even telling us how we can save on postage. She unfortunately seems to be the only competent person there. I went in a few days ago to pick up, you guessed it, Forever International stamps and was told they are still out of stock. I asked if they instead had 10-cent stamps (two domestic stamps (73 cents) plus two ten-cent stamps equal the same amount of postage as one Forever International stamp ($1.65) and no, they don't make 20-cent stamps for some reason) and they said they were all out of ten cent stamps and instead, the guy at the desk tried to sell me five-cent stamps. I was genuinely shocked. Six whole stamps will not fit on a single postcard to Canada which is what I was trying to mail. Then he asked if I want additional ounce stamps which are 28 cents and I told him I didn't want to pay 9 cents of extra postage on everything I mail internationally to which he replied I could put three domestic stamps on an envelope. I feel like math should be a requirement to work for the USPS. If I am already complaining about paying 9 extra cents. Why would I ever put $2.19 worth of postage on an envelope going literally a hop across the border?? Honestly a ridiculous experience. I spent fifteen minutes waiting in a line of two people to walk out empty-handed. Slow service, and some seriously math-challenged employees. My 7-year-old niece who I was trying to send the postcard to would have the sense not to say "put three domestic stamps on an international postcard." Even telling me to get printed postage from the self-service machine would have been a more logical idea to suggest than that.
