I couldn't give it zero stars, so I went with one. Since moving to YL, I regularly have missing mail. I also have a community mailbox at the end of my street (which is ridiculous because its a tiny gated community, and the streets have 4 houses each, no idea why the mail service can't just deliver to our homes). My outgoing package wouldn't fit in the outgoing slot provided in the community mail box, so I put up a note, requesting they pick up the package from my house. When they did not, I called, and actually had this conversation: "They don't respond to that. You either have to call us to request a pick up, or go online." "Oh ok, so can I request a pick up now?" "Yes, you can go online and follow the instructions, or you call us." "Right, yes. I've called you. I'm on the phone with you now. Can I request a pick up?" "Well, we don't normally do this over the phone, but I can if its just once. But if this is every day business sort of thing..." "This is not an every day business sort of thing, I am calling you once from my home, as I explained, my outgoing package doesn't fit in the outgoing slot, and I need it delivered. I'd like to please request a pick up." "Well is it really heavy?" Clearly, they have no interest in actually working. And driving to the post office to drop off a package is absolutely no big deal, and I've done it plenty. But when the flu has been in your home for over a month (4 kids), sometimes, yes, driving to the post office is a big deal, and you could use the services of the USPS, which they provide to everyone else here. read more

I'm not sure why this place is getting such bad reviews...it's the Post Office! When I went the line wasn't long and i was promptly helped by a really nice Postal Worker. I only had to mail a postcard from CA to London! I had a great experience. Anyway this is a small post office in Yorba Linda so I say it's NOT BAD AT ALL! read more

They're always so very friendly unfortunately today they have absolutely no shipping boxes for flat rate or priority and if they do they haven't stocked their display but they have all their dates up and everything to make it easy for people to know when the date is last state to ship is I just wish I could get a flat rate box in my own community read more

This office is pathetic. They NEVER deliver the mail at the same time two days in a row. Most often it's after dark!!!!! I had a small envelope that showed out for delivery at at 6:15 AM. As of 5:30 PM there was no sign of that item. I live less than 2 miles from the post office. So are you telling me that they were driving that envelope around for almost 12 hours and sill couldn't effect delivery???? This is absurd. These people have reached a level of incompetence that has yet to be defined. If the USPS can't find competent help they should just fire these imbeciles and start over. read more

I would give zero stars if this were an option. I ordered a jewelry item that I never received even though I was notified that it was delivered at my mailbox. I spoke to a manager who admitted that it was mis-delivered. He said he would have the mail carrier go to the home where it was delivered to try to retrieve it. He said in most cases they are able to retrieve the package. When I followed up, I was told that the person who they spoke to said they didn't receive the package. I was told there is nothing they can do. This is so wrong! It's basically stealing! The post office staff do not take responsibility for their actions. They got paid to deliver the item and failed to deliver it to the correct person. read more

I sell things off Mercari, so naturally the post office is usually the cheapest to ship items out. I usually opt to do the parcel drop box to skip the lines, however this is the 4th time the YL post office has lost my Mail. This is costing me money at this point when I should be making it. And if it's not lost this one will take an extra week to even get the package out and scanned. It's not fun trying to explain that to customers. I do not seem to have this same issue with any of the other post offices in the area, I'm really not sure what is going on with this one. Last week I dropped off two packages in the parcel box together, it took 3 days for one to scan and the other is still missing and not scanned. DO NOT USE 2 day Priority mail. It took 2 days to get scanned at the regional in Santa Ana and 7 days for delivery. Staff at the counter are great. The staff in the back are incompetent as well as staff at the regional station. Priority mail is NOT guaranteed, so they just smile and say "We're sorry". read more

I just wanted to share an experience getting a passport for an infant. My husband and I went in with our little one (4 months old) to apply for his passport. We arrived at 2:40 (they stop doing passports at 3:00). When we got to the counter and said we were here to apply for a passport the lady huffed and rolled her eyes. She started spouting off all the paperwork I needed (birth certificate, copies of driver licenses and the application) which I gladly handed to her. She seemed even more annoyed now that I actually had everything. Then she looked at the picture for my baby and said that the picture would not be accepted because there was a slight shadow in the background. I told her it was my understanding that they are more lenient with infant pictures because it's extremely difficult to take a picture of a baby who has no neck support. None the less, she would not accept the application. I was ticked. My husband and I quickly drove over to the Post office in Fullerton (off Chapman) which processes them until 3:30 and had a totally different experience. The gal there was SO nice and did the application for us with no problem. And guess what?!! We just received our son's passport in the mail yesterday. I think the rude girl at the Eureka location just did not want to do her job because it was close to 3:00. I would highly suggest you go to the Fullerton location for passport applications. read more

PLEASE READ: The poor reviews reflects this location exactly as it is. The employees are extremely rude and unhelpful. I called in about a package that was supposed to be delivered to me a month ago, which till this day I have not received. I spoke on the phone with a Clerk named Jimmy. He told me the only way for me the get the package is to pick it up within 3-4 days or else it will be sent back to the sender. I asked him to confirm that they FOR SURE have the package at the office because last time when I called I was informed by another employee that they have already sent it back. This is when Jimmy decided to discriminate me based on my Asian American accent by saying "I'm sorry if you can not understand English well, I told you we have the package." Yet, the conversation did not end there as he went on to say that he will be putting the package as a "suspect package" and further more calling me "stupid" as he hung up the phone. They don't deserve any stars they are rude and very slow service there a woman named KARLA which is very rude I had sent a package certified mail to the FBI DEPT. I checked on the delivery status and one month later still hasn't arrived inside had a money order and they wouldn't even let me know if it was cashed unless I paid a fee and I told her my packed which was supposed to have taking was never delivered and I still have to pay a fee like what! Tracking says "package was delivered at front door", packages no where to be found at front door. The mail delivery person is too lazy to walk my package to the door and does not bother to put it in the mailbox either. They carry it in their mail truck for days before bothering to deliver it yet dare to scan it as "delivered". This has happened 4 different times to me. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with any postal service. Many of the other post are so true. I had a certified envelope being delivered to work and it never showed up. I looked at the tracking number to see when it was expected and it said they attempted to deliver on a Saturday evening around 7:00pm and said the business was closed. My facility is open 5am-midnight 363 days a year. So, I tried calling the Post Office and of course no answer. I did this for two days before I went in. The voice recording says not to leave a message just try back again. I went to the Post Office after a week of them not attempting to deliver again, even though this is what the online message says. Will attempt next business day. The only positive in this whole thing was the fact there was no line so I didn't have to wait to be helped. I told the individual working behind the counter that I needed to pickup a certified envelope. They went to the back and couldn't find it. Another worker comes up as well and is asking about the letter. I told them that my place of business was opened during the time of attempted delivery. So they send me over to their supervisor who takes the info and closes the door on me. About 15 minutes later another guy comes out and says they can't find it and they will need to try and contact the delivery person. They said they would contact me by the end of the day, which never happened. They were very unprofessional with the way they handle themselves. I also noticed one of the ladies that was helping first sitting in one of the delivery baskets eating a banana. read more

I've lived in the area for half a year and have been so displeased with this government service. I run a home business and often use the pick up service and learned real quick that they are not on top of the services they provide. Since I started counting, there has already been 9+ times that my packages are left outside waiting and never picked up. They do send a confirmation of pick up which is a lie and my packages are left outside and risk my packages being stolen. This has caused such an inconvenience with my business as my packages are suppose to be on the way to the destination and comes across as deceitful when they were never picked up. I often find myself rushing after work to get these packages off at the post office which defeats the purpose of a pick up. Someone needs to manage these devices better as this new resident is so disappointed with services. "Misdelivered Mail" is frequently what I write on other people's mail that is stuffed in my home mail box and then I stick the mail back in a mail pick up box for them to TRY AGAIN. I also tried to do a mail forwarding, but they keep delivering to my box any way. I guess they think mail forwarding is optional. read more

We've lived in YL for 20 years. Never had an issue with our mail. In Jan 2020 our mail stopped coming. The mail carrier decided he wasn't going to deliver the mail if there was a car parked in front of the mailbox even though there was plenty of space to open the mailbox and put the mail in. He refuses to get out of his truck and told me he didn't have to. We complained to the supervisor Samuel Sam who finally called us after filing a formal complaint on their website. He confirmed that he did not have to get out of the truck if there is a car blocking. I came home today to find a car parked in front of our mailbox and discovered he did not leave the mail! Fuming, I drove to the PO on Eureka. There were three other people waiting to see Samuel with complaints similar to mine! I asked the lady behind the counter to go get Samuel. She left and when she returned she said that Samuel said he was too busy!! I said to her, "Is he too busy for his customers??". Honestly she felt bad but couldn't do anything about it. Those people had been waiting 44 minutes and 30 minutes. He knew they were there but refused to come out and speak to them or me. They are holding the community members of Yorba Linda hostage! This is not right! Another man in the post office told me he tried to fight this battle too but lost and now has a note on his mailbox telling people not to park in front of his mailbox. The street is not marked red, there isn't much parking on our street and for 20 years I haven't had a problem! What changed? Our lazy mail carrier and his spineless supervisor! Our service is very unreliable. Mail doesn't get picked up. We placed a hold on our mail and carrier was supposed to deliver the mail today and naturally no mail was delivered today!! This isn't the first time we have had this experience with our carrier. I see a number of complaints regarding the service here in Yorba Linda. It is interesting that when we lived in the 92887 area, we never had a problem. In fact, I even had a tax check that was in my box to be picked up and it was delayed and I got charged a penalty. Very unreliable. I don't put my outgoing mail in my mailbox because I don't trust it will get to its destination. Mail delivery is poor. Multiple missing packages that have been delivered according to tracking. My most recent issue was a new credit card that was mailed two months ago and never arrived. I also get other people's mail quite often. I recently received mail from an address that was 3.5 miles away. I'm shocked this branch is allowed to remain open. read more

Seems to me that the two A-A female workers here have other priorities than customer service. The taller one who usually wears BIG gold hoop earrings just greets you with a "Next" and a "I don't want to be here" stare. No "thank you" at the end of the transaction from them makes it awkward. So you feel you should say thank you to them. When you do, they just respond with a "Uh huh". Is there something wrong with this picture? Had trouble with getting all my mail when I had a vacation hold last year. The little one helped me half-heartedly. She made it obvious that she was not pleased that she had to work. No wonder the PO is having problems! The best PO customer service I had consistently was at a strip mall off Colima Ave in Hacienda Heights. I had lunch at a great Chinese restaurant w/a Chinese American co-worker who stopped by at that PO. The Hispanic, Asian & white workers were so patient w/ the customers most of them spoke little English but Spanish or Chinese(?). I spoke to two different supervisors about a missing package. They both promised to call me back after speaking to the mail carrier. I never received a call from either one. After many attempts, I was finally able to reach one of the supervisors a week later. She claimed the package was delivered, but said the carrier left the package near the mailbox instead of bringing it to the door. This was several hours after our regular mail delivery, and after 7:00 p.m. The supervisor seemed unconcerned that the package was left on the sidewalk at night in the dark, even though she admitted it should have been brought to the door. I was home during the date and time of the "delivery" and our motion detection security camera was on, but there wasn't any indication of a delivery. I never received the package. read more

Today, I had a card delivered that was obviously opened with a letter opener and gift cards stolen. The manager gives excuses. I'm calling the BBB and USPS inspector to make sure this is handled. As far as post office's go this one is just a cut above. Nice staff. No appointment necessary in passport services. They got a make over! Took the survey got five stars. My delivery services are good. Mistakes like any other place. Appreciate their hard work and glad to give my business to the US Postal Service. read more

Wow, this post office should be ashamed of itself! For the most part, the employees that I encounter at the actual office, are fairly nice and helpful. However, the actual mail-person that comes to our neighborhood is awful. He is lazy, and refuses to get out of his car to deliver the mail. We live in a small community with very limited parking. He stopped delivering our mail (stating that the mailbox was blocked) without notice, and even defaced a couple pieces of mail -- highly unethical! We noticed that other mailboxes are frequently blocked by other cars, including our neighbor, and no one else has experienced this same problem. When we went to speak to a manager about it, another resident said that the same postman had left a rude and unprofessional message on their car. We tried to contact the manager multiple times about the misconduct, and left contact information. Weeks went by, and she never tried to contact us. I wanted to send an item at the least cost possible. The three workers here gave me three different options with three different prices. Naturally I picked the least expensive choice offered by the male worker. Then he left, and when I gave the woman worker my item packed in the envelope that he told me to use earlier for postage due, she made me change the shipping envelope and charged me the highest price! You'd think that since they work here they'd know and tell you how best to send something! They obviously don't know among themselves and some just want to charge the customers as much as possible!
