Awful experience. My package is apparently sitting in his post office yet no one can find it. I came in personally and they send me on my way, and tell me basically good luck, you won't hear from us unless we find it. Why is it that my package is sitting here according to your system, with no scans out, yet no one wants to help me. Sadly inefficient, and if a privately owned business operated this way they would be out of business. Give me a call someone, I would really love to know where my package is....I drove thirty minutes here today, after spending thirty minutes at my post office (who sent me here because they said it was here), and yet I still have nothing. This location is always busy and unkempt and dirty. I usually plan to wait for 15 minutes when I go here. It's also very hard to find, so familiarize yourself with a map (or use google maps every time like I do) I try to use the location on Scottsdale & Williams as much as possible for an overall better experience. I don't expect a lot from USPS but my service here in N Scottsdale has been the worst. Packages I'm expecting will show a status of "out for delivery" and then are suddenly rerouted to a different office, you can't get a live person (after holding for more than an hour), my mail is regularly put into my neighbors' mailboxes and vice versa... Unfortunately, we don't have an option when you order through certain websites, so this is what we're left with. read more

Really impressed with my recent experience here a few weeks before Christmas and the other holidays. They had a helper to assist anyone in line with figuring out what they need to ship or send, be it the right label, loan of a pen, or correct shipping container. This post office is absolutely horrible! I mailed an envelope with a card and gift card in it at the drive up mailbox on June 1st between 3 and 4 PM. The pickup time was 5 PM. Well my card never made it to its destination and after calling Hobby Lobby where the gift card was from, it was determined it was indeed spent at the Hobby Lobby at Tatum and Cactus. It was supposed to go to my friend in Ohio! So obviously it was stolen by someone at this post office! I hope whoever stole it and spent the $200 feels good about themselves! One supervisor, Mark Wilson, has inspired me to upgrade this review from 1 star to 4. After discussing the lost mail problems with the regular mail carrier this afternoon, I tried to lower the review to zero stars. That didn't work. The carrier really acted like he'd rather still be on vacation than dealing with his mis-delivered mail problem from the weeks before. I'd rather he been on vacation the weeks before. His understudy couldn't have done worse. The supervisor really went above and beyond to assist and appears to be on a dedicated mission to fix the messed up mail situation. I'm giving this PO location 2 stars, because of their horrible Post Office box delivery and back of house service. It would be the minimum 1-Star, but the front staff has always been kind and helpful to me. Post Office Box delivery is a whole other story. More often than not, there is an issue of receiving things that I am expecting. I wonder how much of the mail I WAN'T expecting actually arrives. Once, there was so much mail in my box, some fell out the back as I was pulling out my mail. I came back expecting it to be in my box, but it wasn't. So I called. The woman I spoke to said that if that had happened, they'd have put the mail back in. I told her I watched it fall, and it is indeed NOT in my mailbox. No matter how many times I described what I saw and experienced with my own eyes, she refused to accept that I was possibly telling the truth. It's amazing the death grip she had on refusing accountability, or even apologizing. Hey, everyone makes mistakes. I'm 100% sure that the USPS does NOT have 100% quality control. A few times a year I get notices from creditors they the bill they sent was returned to them... So, if you don't have options for a PO Box, set your expectations low and you should be fine. Most frequently lost correspondence are checks; the kind you can tell is a check by looking through the envelope window. I was hesitant to stop by after reading the reviews, and braced myself to be subjected to terrible customer service and a long wait. Happy to report I got neither of the two. This post office was very clean and the workers were efficient and quick. I also appreciated that they didn't make me wear my mask! Everybody was standing 6 feet apart and they have plexiglass in between themselves and the customers, so I felt very safe. Worst post office ever! Rude and lazy would be compliments to them. They refused to print a receipt for accepting a prepaid package after i waited in line for 20 minutes. Even the manager did not want to print a label. Went to another post office, presented my package and the guy gave me a receipt without me asking for it. I realize the USPS has gone through a rough time this past year of 2020 but so have a lot of other corporations and small businesses. This particular location NEVER answers the phone. I have been trying to get updates on a package that i requested redelivery- called 6 times now and the phone just rings and rings during business hours. Aside from the fact that the delivery post worker didn't even try to leave the package at my front door which he/she could have because it does not require a signature- ive received packages from this company before and the package was always left at my doorstep without a problem. Not sure why this time was different. This is not my first issue with USPS as i have had multiple issues in the past, but this particular location is horrible in terms of customer assistance. This is why I will Always go with a different delivery service like UPS or FedEx first because the customer service of USPS as a whole is seriously rubbish! read more

This Post Office is a joke. I live in an apartment complex where the post office usually leaves a slip in the box, and I pick it up in the main office. Various times new delivery people or substitutes don't grasp this concept, and I have to go call USPS and find out where my package actually is even though the tracking number says "Delivered." Also - I have tried calling their phone number at least 30 times today. Busy every single time. Had to call USPS corporate to get any traction on finding my "Delivered" package. AVOID. read more

Yep...wish there was a zero star option. They lost my tax return and there's nothing I can do about it because I didn't pay extra for insurance because it wasn't of monetary value. :( Well it's valuable to ME because it has my personal and financial info, but that doesn't count as valuable to the postal service. Keep this in mind when you send something by mail that has that type of info on it. I brought it in so I could physically see it be stamped and taken by the hands of a trusty postal worker. I physically DROVE TO THE POST OFFICE, STOOD IN LINE, DEALT WITH THE GROUCHY POSTAL PEOPLE, AND SAW IT GET STAMPED. I even came on a day when the parking lot was being paved or something and had to park down the street and walk. Figured it was still worth it so my taxes didn't get lost. And...they lost it. How did I find out? Never got my return so I just called to inquire about it. Nope. They never received it. Awesome! Thanks USPS! And you wonder why people are going to email, texting, FedEx/UPS, e-filing (which I will likely pony up the money to do next year even though I don't believe I should have to pay MORE to file taxes than the taxes themselves and the stamp cost), etc...? This office miss handling packages all the time. The mail delivery person even didn't bother to walk a few feet to knock on the door. Leaving a message Note in the mailbox "sorry we missed you" . I have looked on the front yard cameras as we were home and it is unacceptable to see that the mail person would do such a thing. Now I have scheduled to redeliver this item and USPS Office still doesn't bother to redeliver this item. I don't quite understand the complaining about this branch of the post office. I have found all of the employees to be polite and professional and the lines aren't unnecessarily slow. I went in today to mail a package and there was a fairly long line, not surprising given the time of year. There were 4 windows open and the line moved along quite nicely. I found the lobby to be clean and well stocked with all of the forms and there were also pens scattered everywhere as well. In and out in 10 minutes. read more

I came here to pay for a new mailbox key for work on a Friday at 9:30am. The line was almost out the door and there was only one woman working. A man in front of me kept asking her if anyone else was coming to help her and she kept telling him she requested backup. The man continually asked her and she kept saying if "the boss" was in, other employees would be up front helping her. The man offered to call her boss and asked for the post office's phone number. She ignored him, so I helpfully used Yelp to find the phone number for him. As he called the number, we could hear it continuously ringing in the back office as no one picked up. A few minutes passed and finally another employee came out to help. The line didn't move much faster, but once I had finished the paperwork and paid, the employee who helped me put up a "closed window" sign and disappeared in the back much to the dismay of other customers waiting in line. I have been to this specific post office several times and I have never been in and out. There always seems to be a lengthy line and I wind up waiting 30 minutes or more. I've experienced this type of waiting no matter which post office I go to and no matter which time of the day I go. I wish I knew the secret time/day to get in and out of the post office painlessly! read more

I would think this Post Office would be more together considering it is in the middle of a major industrial and business area. There's also a massive amount of retail in the immediate area. But it's always slammed and It just feels like a massive chore every time I stop in. One of automative postal machines always seems to be down, or the package box won't open, or the mail box inside is jammed. Also, I was hoping to open at box here at one time, but all boxes are unavailable. Here's a neat idea for the struggling US Postal Services; IF YOU'RE CONSTANTLY SOLD OUT OF BOXES, INSTALL MORE! I do wish "zero" was an option. For almost two years, I have dealt with chronic misdeliveries. I get my neighbor's bank statements, brochures, magazines, and other sensitive information intended for no one's eyes but theirs. I have filed several complaints, but each time, the result is the same: A week of improvement, followed by another round of misdeliveries. I have thought of every conceivable solution, but none have worked. I have (politely) asked them to double check the address on the envelope. That didn't help. I have taped "attention courier" letters to my door. That didn't help. I have requested mail monitoring to ensure proper delivery. That didn't help for long. I have even plastered notes on my mailbox, with my home address penned in flamingo pink ink, only to receive yet another stack of letters for my neighbor. Come on. If the courier can't do the job, then maybe it's time to show him or her the door. What does it take to fire an incompetent employee? Is there a secret law in place that protects obtuse couriers from being fired? Maybe that's what's going on here. Their ineptitude is alarming, and it far surpasses anything I have seen before. However, I do give credit to those employees at this office, who have responded to my complaints. They have been prompt and responsive, but it remains the courier's responsibility to deliver the mail to its rightful owner. Here's one solution: Replace the buffoons with people who can do the job right. read more

I usually avoid the Post Office, for good reason. Take the latest trip, for example. I go into this location to send two small items out of state, and I didn't want to travel all the way over to FedEx just to send a thimbleful of goods. My mistake. It won't happen again. Unfortunately, I didn't have a box or tape on me, so I used one of the Post Office's teeny-weeny little boxes and some of their tape to package up my items. It turns out the box is $2.65. You'd think I was buying a box big enough to hold a refrigerator, not one closer to the size of a thimble. And guess what? That tape I used, which the Post Office so generously provided, is "priority tape." That's right, "priority tape." They don't tell you that when you borrow the tape, and of course they don't have any other tape for customers, so now I can either ship the 1 oz. thimble-sized box for $9.68 or redo the whole thing just to save a few bucks. I ate it. But I hope no one affiliated with the U.S. Post Office ever wonders why we don't want to do business with you. This is how you treat us? But this is typical of any outfit that isn't really accountable to the customers. Me, I hope to never set foot in the place again, but I doubt that will happen. Which is why they can get away with charging $9.68 to ship a 1 oz box the size of a thimble with fancy-schmancy "priority tape" on it. read more

Customer service is good once you make it to the front of the line. The line is always super long, almost all day long but worse at noon and towards the end of the day! There is a self help area but there is a line for this too! When they're slammed, the little self help kiosk runs out of supplies and I've had to ask for a replenishment once. However, once you get to a rep, they're always super friendly and super helpful. So what is the problem??? Maybe they need more reps? Maybe a special line for minor stuff? I wish there was another way to deliver packages cause our voice has no meaning to this facility, nor does the money we bring in. I feel like no one likes their job here. No one ever wants to empty the bin that catches the boxes in the drop so even though the sign says they accept packages till 5:00 they almost always have a drop box door that won't open...maybe they could tend to this knowing everyone spent all day trying to get there shipments together and are on their way home with the post office being their last task of the day. I've dropped numerous packages off between 4:30 and 5 when the box isn't full and they either never scan them in or they just don't process them till the next day when they get around to it. I would love for a manager to contact me and give me some solutions they are willing to do to keep my business. Another option is to bring back the bin that holds all the prepaid packages and put it in an accessible place until the actual last drop off time for paid packages which is indicated at 5. Sure close the door at 4:30 but accept the prepaid packages till 5 from your customers that can't leave work for the day at 4:15 to be there by 4:30. I typically visit this post office after the clerk desks are closed. I have always found the portion that is open 24 hours for drop off to be stocked with priority boxes, envelopes, and other supplies that I may need. I usually buy my postage online and just drop off my packages but the one time I used the machine after hours I found it to be easy to use, easy to follow, easy to pay, and easy to track. This is the worse post office in the entire country. It never ever answers its phone....it lets it ring off the hook and after a minute disconnects you....the 480-483-1229. You can go to other post offices where you have had your mail forwarded and they are so wonderful and try to help and after awhile they say they have never dealt with such a post office. Just went on a 2 week vacation and formally filled out a "Hold Mail" form prior to my trip at the East Evans Post Office. I checked the box on the form to resume delivery and accumulated mail on Monday July 24, 2017. Nothing came. I went into the post office a few days after the 24th and nobody could find any held mail for my address. I know there have been issues with finding a reliable mail carrier for my neighborhood (as there has been misplaced, misdirected and lost mail lately), but there is no excuse for misplacing 2 full weeks of held mail and packages at the facility!!
