I write this review while I am pis..d off. I need to vent. I have been going to this post office for 17 years, 3 or 4 days a week. Today I had a notice in my box for two certified letters. So I rang the bell for the little door to open for the person in charge of retrieving them to take my orange slip. Then I waited. And waited. And waited. I rang the bell about once every 10 minutes. Other people in line behind me also rang the bell from time to time. At times there was no line for the regular post office employees standing at their stations, yet no one would or could come over to help us. Most people in my line ended up just leaving. Arguments broke out. One between a person in line for 30 minutes and a postal employee was particularly loud. Finally, one hour later ... somebody opened the window to help us. They can check the security cameras...I was literally there for an hour. The person behind me was there for close to an hour. This is just not right and needs to be fixed. Normally the employees at this office are helpful. But today was just awful. Please fix this! Rant over. read more

USPS is horrible and thieves. I order some ideas for Christmas. USPS said items was delivered in my mailbox. My items was NOT THERE I call UPSP could not get through. I kind of expected because of the holidays. Finally I called Amazon customer service and they got me through to USPS. I told Postal service I Did Not receive any of my packages. She said your packages was scan and was placed in your mailbox. I told her went to mailbox it was not in there. Then She ask me what was the item I told her a baby swing. I told her that item can not be placed inside my mailbox. Then she said well I will have someone investigate this matter and get back with you in 3 business days. They are rude horrible thieves. Great service! The guys who work at the counter are always efficient and courteous. Even when I don't have everything filled out completely on a form/package they let me step aside to finish, and then let me come back straight to the counter. I recently went to the DMV in Rosenberg and had a horrific experience. This post office really sets the standard for great service! read more

I have nothing bad about this post office. The line was short and the employees were pretty knowledgeable. It didn't take long either. I was in and out of the place in 10 mins. It was pretty cheap to send things off so I would definitely come back here to send off things in regular mail. read more

If I could give zero stars - I will...The wait time is long to get a package I actually did it on a stopwatch and it is more than 20 mins for someone to open the door. My mail has been lost I cam here 3 straight days in a row and still cant find it. Whatever system they have it needs to het updated. I have totally given up on this. I have a complaint the parking lot of the Post Office at 225 Maltage Way Sugar Land is disgraceful. There are 18 potholes some 3feet wide a foot deep I have brought this up to the management for almost a year and at least once a month. their answer is that it is not their problem it is regional maintenance's problem. and they have reported it this parking lot is a hazard to both the people and their vehicles you can raise prices on stamps, give out pay raises but you can fix the parking lot for your customers what will it take, a letter to our Congressman read more

The expectations for any post office are so low now, I've had mostly positive experiences at this location. I don't usually go to the counter, unless I have to send something to an international destination. They're usually patient since forms need to be filled out for customs. I usually go to the automated kiosk during after hours to ship packages. There's only been a few times where it wasn't operational. I do most of my boxing and packaging at home, so I don't have to rely on any supplies there. So for my purposes, it's okay. read more

The SL Post Office is attended by good, hard-working, neighbors who do their best under very difficult circumstances. Please let's be fair--it is not their fault that we --yes we--have elected so-called public servants who have allowed our United States Postal Service to be under-staffed and underfunded while requiring it to deliver mail at cut-rate prices to every corner of America and allowed FedEx, UPS, etc. to cherry-pick the delivery business at premium rates. Please don't take this out on the employees(who do a terrific job despite the obstacles) and accept our own responsibility--and that of our representatives--for this state of affairs. read more

Worst service ever! Especially if you want to get the passport service! That passport service personnel is always has constipated look on her face! The passport service is by appointment only, and they only take appointment on Monday! Not at 9? But 10 am. I called for 2 mondays. One Monday the phone had busy signal all day long, the other Monday, after been getting busy signal for the whole morning, j finally get to talked to someone briefly. After I told her I need to make appointment for the passport service, she put me on a indefinite hold fom 3:00 till the closing time! If I could put a negative stars. That's would be a - 5 stars! I have ordered merchandise that somehow seem to go missing, and I have filed a case and nothing happens. I even went in to speak to the supervisor, of course he shows it delivered to my home, well I never received the packet and now here we go again, lost packet, they indicated they delivered the packet to my home on 10/17/16, I was home all day, no package was delivered. We have streets with similar names and addresses and many times I have receive someone else mail in my box with the a similar address but different street, so is my merchandise going to their home?? I take their mail to them, but I am not guaranteed they will do the same for me. Post office drivers don't check the mail before putting them in the box and I guess whoever is sorting the mail does not verify address neither. At any rate I am out of my money and merchandise because this post office indicated they delivered to my house and they did not. I really wish they would be more considerate when handling customer packages. Of course reading all of the concerns and noting nothing has changed, just means the post office supervisor nor the post office general isn't taking any of this seriously. read more

Complaining now about delivery from here. Packages delivered to wrong house several times. Received all neighbors mailI also several times. It is like musical mail in our neighborhood. Missing a tracked xmas package which showed sitting at post office for 3 days before being "in transit" to my house and never received. Horrible!! I don't even know where to begin. This place has lost so much of my mail including my driver's license. They forwarded my birthday present which was a purse to my address here in Michigan when I sent it to Vegas. It got lost then found so the "manager" Chris said he would hold it for 30 days until I got to Michigan to pick it up because they wouldn't let a family member get it. Well, I arrived two weeks later and they couldn't find it later to find out they sent it back the day after I went in there to pick it up. It had to go back to London before being sent back to me. I ordered this purse in April and got it in July after all this nonsense. Also, they can't seem to get the forward correct. I physically walked into three different post offices to forward my mail and it never got done. It's incredible how bad customer service is. Our mail lady who is not in her own car gets mad if we put anything in our mailbox to be picked up. She said my house was not secure and she couldn't leave several packages. I'm in a wonderful neighborhood in Canton and have amazon here almost every day. It's just ridiculous anymore. I'm going to start having all my mail electronically sent and give up on the post office. I try to support them by mailing my packages with them but due to all the losses I will never ship with them again. I'd rather pay a bit more for UPS or Fed-Ex read more

I get there at 5:05 pm and I get turned away. I guess they have every right to do that. It states they open at 7am-5pm on the pink slip they left at my home to pick up the package but when I go there some lady says they open at 8:45 now. CHANGE YOUR INFORMATION!!!! People can't provide money to the post office if they are mostly open during the times most people work. I get off at 4:15pm compared to others who get off at 5pm and still can't make it on time. read more

I sell on eBay and it's very important to get my packages scanned. Not only does confirm to my customers that I have shipped my items, but it is also necessary in order to qualify for insurance. If a package is never scanned the item does not qualify for the insurance that I paid for. I have been told that this office never scans packages at this location. They don't get scanned until they reach the distribution center, but unfortunately they have lost a couple of my packages as a result of this policy and the USPS refused to acknowledged that they got my package. For the past few months this office has been scanning my items on request, but today they refused. The employee's name was Sherman and he was very rude. He didn't even look at me and just said I can't scan that and walked away. He acted like he was helping other customers and ignored me. He wouldn't even tell me why he wouldn't scan my package today. I told him that they have in the past. He said because I said so and I don't feel like it. Sherman needs to be fired. I'm already mad, but if my doesn't get a scan soon then I'm going to be even madder and it will all be Sherman's fault. It literally takes 5 seconds for him to scan my single item. The scanner was sitting right next to him. He is just lazy and needs to be fired. read more

Every time I go to this post office I walk out wondering why I didn't spend the extra 20 minutes to drive to another post office location. There is an employee who will explain in excruciating detail the postal process and attempt to up-sell their services to earn more money on your transaction. As I answer her that I only want the standard service, she continues to spend several minutes explaining the services that I already said I didn't want. I called the Postmaster when I left there and spoke to the woman supervising the clerks. She adamantly defended the clerk who is basically harassing the customers and trying to extort more money for a simple transaction of buying postage and mailing a package, by claiming that in doing so, the woman is just doing her job. When I told her about the extra time and insulting way of continuing to explain a service I didn't want and acting as though I just didn't understand her and holding me at the window longer than necessary. There is no way this so-called policy is mandatory in all post offices as other clerks in other locations don't behave this way. Someone needs to re-train the clerk supervisor and the clerks who believe that harassing the customers like this is good business practice. It is just another inefficiently run government office subsidized by the tax dollars of the American public. read more

The worst ever and this is even before we get to the post office. Found out that this is the closest post office that offers Passport Service. Passport application is by appointment only. Called for a few weeks - either the line is busy or no one bothers to answer the call. Went to the Post office personally last Saturday to see if I could make an appointment in person. No, you have to call to make the appointment. Called and lo and behold! Someone actually answered the phone but again NO, they can't give you the appointment!!! Please call on Tuesday (which is today) between 10 and 1 to make the appointment. Conveniently the phone has been busy since 10 this morning! This is definitely the worst ever!!! read more

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I went in today dreading the wait. The line was long but went extremely fast. I actually had to get out of line and get back in because I had to fill out more papers but again the line went super quick. The lady that helped me at the counter was so nice and helpful with all of my questions. I would go there again in a heartbeat. I actually waited way longer behind just 2 people at FedEx this morning. Would recommend the post office over fedex! read more

Absolutely the worst place for shipping. I just took my small package which needed to be taped to close the lid and the lady tells me "oh you need to buy the tape" which is $4. My package didn't even cost as much. Seriously you can't even tape up a small package? I was so pissed and left, came to nearby PostNet store and they gladly taped it up for free and took the package. It's no wonder usps is on the verge to extinction, if it wasn't for Amazon, they'd be doomed. read more

Walked in and was immediately greeted by a *very* friendly and courteous gentleman named Lester who personally helped me to mail my package. He even hand carried it to the back for me from the front kiosk area where he helped me buy the postage on the kiosk. My customer received it the next day. Not only is the USPS less expensive than UPS but the personnel are waaaay nicer. Thank you Lester for one of the best US government customer service experiences I've ever had. Mr. Wise at this post office was extremely rude. I had to ask him 3 times if i could talk, and in the end after i told him thanks for his help, he hung up on me. I had to call 3 times before anyone even answered the phone. I still don't know where my package is, somewhere in postal oblivian ? I went to pick up a package at approximately 1400. I stood in line and after 3 minutes was the first in line. The Asian woman then said that I needed to go to the window and ring the bell to pick up the package. I said thanks and went to the window. I stood at the window for over 20 minutes and rang the bell every 3 minutes for a total of 6 times. No one came. I went back in and the 6 people who were originally behind me were all gone except one. There were two workers just standing around when i left out the first time and they were still just standing around on their phones. The one of color smiled when i came back in and gave a smirk. I then went up to the counter and gave in my slip and the lovely Indian gave me my package. They are the worst ever! I am a doctor and i do not have the time for these lousy workers. read more

Please can we figure out how to make our postal services efficient. In this day and age, I should not have to drive all around town in an effort to find my packages. I had packages coming from China. Two huge boxes, that trust me should be hard to lose. They were over a month late, and since I moved I eventually had to make a change of address. Mind you I waited till couldn't put it off anymore before I did. Either way though, it shouldn't have been so hard to get packages forwarded. I had to make easily 30 plus calls and trips to various post offices before both my packages were delivered. Half the time this location wouldn't even pick up their phone. Both packages arrived to the states together and one got forwarded without the other....still don't see how that happened. The boxes looked identical and were together and had China Post written all over them in bright green, hard to miss. Plus this post office kept forwarding and sending back one of the packages, which just added to the confusion. At least one nice employee here was finally able to help sort it out (hence the two stars), but most of the people I dealt with here were either rude or didn't seem to understand how to help me. Either way, a small town in China got them successfully to the states without issue, but it took over a month from when they made landfall here in the states before they got to me. On the Post Office located at 225 Matlage Way of Sugar Land-TX, I've always received an outstanding service from Clerk 04. I'm so grateful for that! She's the most skilled, efficient and polite person working here. Sadly, I don't know her name, but she's regularly the 4th clerk from left to right on the counter (facing the front of the waiting line). She deserves a public recognition for her excellent service: asking all the necessary safety questions regarding the mailings, offering all kinds of extra services/products, telling you how much you saved with your Priority Mail choices, and the list can go on and on. Unfortunately, on May 14, 2018 the supervisor (I'm assuming this due to his arrogant attitude) unjustly called her attention in front of all customers. While buying a Priority Mail service to send two passports, she was helping me with my documents because they weren't properly organized. When this supervisor (middle age, brown skin color, tall) saw that she was touching those passport applications he lost his temper. Angrily, he asked her to stop doing that because she was apparently "holding the line" while doing something that wasn't her job? Not only did he was rude to her, but to me too. He looked angry at me when he thought I was justifying her assistance. She, passively and humbly, told him in low voice that she was just organizing the papers. Without an apology or change of attitude, he just returned to the back of the post office. As this extraordinary clerk, I never felt more ashamed and humiliated. I'm a business co-owner and couldn't believe the unprofessional manners of this man. I've been customer of this place since 2007 and am in shock with this kind of service in our community. I'm grateful for great employees like Clerk 04, that keep doing their best and showing others the great heart of our people no matter the consequences that they suffer. I'm so sorry that she wanted to help me and her assistance wasn't appreciated by the first person that was supposed to been recognizing her. Supervisors like this should be retrained on human resources seminars or removed. Employees like Clerk 04 are the pride of our beloved Texas. I've never had any bad experiences with the employees here, except when they try to talk me into $50 shipping for a simple envelope, everybody working there has always been courteous. Usually I am in and out within 10 minutes regardless of how long the line is, I usually mail everything through media mail so I have to go to the desk, and if it takes any longer it's usually the customer who either doesn't understand how they want to ship something or they are just completely confused by the whole post office system and don't know what they're doing. Sometimes the employees will treat you like you're stupid even if you know exactly what you want but if you can get past that it's not horrible and you shouldn't be in there any longer than 10-15 minutes at most. The parking lot could also use some redoing as it's too small and most of the concrete is wrecked making it hard to drive and park in the parking lot. But still there are only a few minor things and besides that I've never had a serious problem with this post office or its employees. read more
