My bad review has to do with getting charged the full month when I ACTUALLY moved out on the 2nd day of the month. I was told I'd get a check with the remainder amount $$$ I was not using the storage unit. No phone call, no check for the amount I'm owed has been received and it's been 7 months now. Do Not Waste Your Time Rented here for four years since it opened, had four units with the company. So many issues and complaints but the main idea is that they provided terrible customers service, are constantly dropping the ball on follow through, and they make it difficult for anything to resolve. Zero Stars if I could. Great experience for two years, Worst experience last two years before we left for better places. Two years in, customers service went down hill fast and never recovered. They constantly dropped the ball on follow through. Massively difficult to reach anyone that could actually do something. Everyone worker always said that they could not do anything and had to give the news to someone else. A higher up needed to be told but the workers would never provide the contact information to that person. I once (after months of calls and bad reviews) spoke to the District Manager and he didn't follow through with what he promised. Terrible customer care from the top down. They either are always lying, dismissing, or forgetting about customer needs. I alerted the company every time something was wrong with their building (i.e. broken doors, bugs, animals, people living in units, people dumping and abandoning their furniture and garbage in the building) and watched as nothing changed. They OVERCHARGED me for a month after I moved out. After multiple calls, speaking to multiple customer service and front desk people, it took 6 months for someone to contact me about being overcharged and another 6 months for me to see any action. Issues: We were overcharged Signed on with promise of use of moving truck. They got rid of the truck after 2 months. There is no accountability from the workers The District Manager (Jose) offered no help After they sign you and take your money they avoid you. Roaches in the Building Moths in the Building Rats and Lizards in the Building Broken Doors Break in Liquid in unit from other units/animals I understand need for rent increases, but they increased our rent a lot for reasons of limited space, but there are plenty of open spaces. I once counted 17 open spaces in our half hallway alone, easily hundreds of open spaces. I have better things to do than write bad reviews but for the time of mine wasted with calls and visits, the dismissive attitude from the workers, and the frustration that it brought; I really hope that this review results in your choosing of another business. Avoid ALL us stoage centers in the area, because with a terrible District Manager they all have to be just as bad. read more

I was giving time for a response back due to the holidays. I still can't get ahold of anyone from corporate no phone nothing to discuss my issues with the location and to fallow up on my claim from the break in to my unit . Service is terrible. They only ever have one person working at a time and they're constantly having to do the other duties of maintaining the property aside from trying to help those that come in. Pricing consistently going up regardless of elevators not working and ongoing rat or mice problem. Was supposed to receive first month free and got charged regardless. read more

This seems to be a similar experience with many folks using US storage, I wish I would've checked before!! We used this place as it is near our home and we were having major construction work done on our home starting in October 2024 and ending in early August of 2025. I called the office the weekend before August 2 and asked if we would be prorated for vacating on August 2. I was told that as long as we vacate before August 5, we would not be charged the entire month and the unused days would be prorated. No further information was given to me over the phone. We vacated the space the afternoon of Saturday. August 2nd. I was asked by the sales person if everything went well with our storage space, I replied that it had and that we didn't have any issues. She then politely invited me to fill out a Google review which I did. When I inquired about the prorated amount, she said that since we had direct withdrawal, our prorated refund would be mailed to us 6 to 8 weeks later!!! Aside from the fact that I think this is a ridiculously long time to receive a refund as you can imagine it is October 16, 2025 and we have yet to see a check from US storage centers. I have called on 4 separate occasions, even to their "corporate office" and I am told that a "regional manager" will reach out to me and no one ever does. From the other reviews I see here it is obvious that US storage center has no intention on returning people's money.. We were charged over $150 for the month of August 2025 even though we vacated on the 2nd day of the month. These types of companies are unscrupulous and they don't give a damn about customer service. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well!! read more

I left my unit on the 2nd. I was told I'd be charged about $7 dollars and be refunded the remaining $80+ I was owed since i moved out on the 2nd. It's been 6 months and i was told several times in person at their facility and over the phone with their customer support that I'd be issued a check for the amount due that i was NOT USING MY UNIT. I'm working 3 jobs right now and it's what I'm owe back and for it to be taken but a company is so gross. There are soooo many other more storage units please don't bother with this one. read more

This is an excellent storage facility. Thus building and units are very clean and the cooled storage is also a perk. 10 out of 10 recommend!

The contracts are a little confusing for rules on when to notify leaving the storage facility- but otherwise I've felt safe, the units and hallways are clean and it's a secure building. Good price and good staff. I'd come here again if I needed storage! read more

I am reporting your employee, Danielle Estrada to your company headquarters. She is an extremely disrespectful person and she should not be working with people. She sent me an email today claiming that I was past due when I signed up for automatic payments. I asked her why am I receiving these emails if I have autopay enabled and instead she told me to take care of it myself, to then saying that she is going to take a card payment when I am already signed up to pay ACH. This made no sense of her saying that she wanted to charge me for two different forms of payments. Instead of fixing my problem to stop getting late notices, she kept interrupting me, cutting me off when speaking, and had the audacity to say "You're being rude!" when she is the one who is representing your company? So you train your employees to speak to customers like this and get defensive and hang up abruptly????? She also refused to process my payment on time when I am signed up for autopay. I want to speak to the district manager of this property. read more

Likely the best storage unit I've ever used for a few different reasons. The property is very well maintained and clean, and the security features are great too. I had to unexpectedly rent a storage unit after an emergency flooding issue. I got there 15 minutes before they closed on a Friday night (I felt bad but I really had to) - and Ricky and Nick could not have been more helpful or friendly. They truly made the whole awful flooding experience much easier for me and it was so greatly appreciated. That quality of service given the circumstances is quite rare I would say. If you're looking for a storage unit in the area, this has got to be the best one by a long shot. read more

This place has switched staff and management it's ridiculous. Getting helped or a hold of anyone is impossible. The guys who worked here before at least returned calls. Ricky is rude and it feels like he's overcharging on insurance that we didn't ask for. Lol $20 "protection plan". I imagine you'd be better served at a different location. read more

I jumped on the waiting list for this storage space as soon as the banner went up announcing the impending arrival. It took a long time to get things finalized and open but the wait was worth it!!!! Clean, bright and well-lit, extremely secure, climate controlled, and so convenient. Love the big parking lot. Paul and Robin will take care of you completely and the free truck for your move is an absolute incredible perk to avail yourself of. I'm so very happy that my things are now stored here instead of at the stale, dark and dank place they once lived. And I know if I need anything Paul and Robin will be there to save the day. read more

The experience storing my items at the US Storage Valley Blvd center has been one of the worst experiences in my life. My girlfriend and I were subletting our place for the summer and moved a good amount of stuff out of our apartment to make space for our subletters. While we were traveling, my girlfriend found out that a number of her online and personal accounts had been hacked into (ebay, bank of america, amazon, etc.). We learned that the source of the hack was an old iphone that someone had gotten into. Thousands of dollars were stolen from her back account and charged to her debit card. Every day of the trip set off a new panic as the thieves had used her stolen identity to carry out fraudulent activity on all of her accounts and then to open up new accounts. Finally, she decided she needed to go back to LA to figure out how someone had gotten ahold of her iphone (she hadn't known whether it was in the storage unit at that point) and whether other items had been stolen from our apartment. So we had to cancel the rest of our trip and fly back early. It turned out the theft had not taken place in our apartment but at the storage unit. The thieves had broken into the unit and put the lock back on in a way to disguise that the unit had been broken into. Some of my girlfriend's most prized possessions were stolen, including letters from dead friends and relatives and irreplaceable photos, art and film projects stored on a hard drive. The storage unit was made aware of the break-in and the cops were called to come investigate and fill out a police report. We thought it might be easy to figure out who had done it as there are video cameras in the facility and an individual unique password is needed to enter the building. The cops came and the case was assigned to a detective to try to figure out what happened. We called and checked in with the storage facility manager almost every day and begged her to get the video footage over to the cops in hopes that we might be able to retrieve some of the items that had been stolen. Additionally, she told us she thought she knew who had done it but couldn't give that information to us because of the privacy concerns for the other renters. A full week went by and she still had not given the video to the cops. We were so desperate to try and recover some of her personal items and we knew the longer we waited the less likely we would be able to get them back. We took matters into our own hands and went and visited the detective at the police station. We gave him all the information we had on the thieves, addresses where they had items delivered, parts they bought for their cars etc. We still had not heard back from the storage facility and when we asked to speak to someone more senior that could help, there was only one senior district manager that they said we could speak to who also did not return our call for almost 2 weeks. By the time he had called back we had given up any hope of retrieving our items. Roughly a couple months later, we went to retrieve the rest of the items (that were not stolen) from the facility. We were in a bit of a time crunch because the facility was closing for the day and we needed to catch a flight the next day. When we entered the code to get into the facility, it instructed us that we needed to speak to the manager. We went to the office and the manager was busy so we asked the staff if we could start moving our stuff out of our unit. They would not let us get our stuff and made us wait for the manager. When the manager comes out, she starts yelling at us about more burglaries in the unit and accusing us of being responsible because they had our code or something and we didn't return their calls when they finally called us back. The whole thing did not make any sense. My girlfriend had lost some of her most prized, personal possessions. We had to cut our trip short and flew back to deal with the situation. We had searched trash cans on the street where some of the items on her stolen credit card were sent. WE were the only ones pursuing the robbery with the police. And suddenly we are accused of having to do something with the break-ins? Absolutely wild. This was so emotionally traumatic for us after all we had been through. We begged to just be able to get our remaining stuff and leave and never have to deal with this facility and these people again. This was an absolute nightmare. I would not wish this on anyone. Not to mention, as we later found out, that this place seems to get hit with burglaries all the time and they are just not equipped to protect their facility. read more
