The woman kept turning her back on me talking to the male employee about non work issues. Then she's yelling across the store at other customers having random conversations. The male employee participated with her and both seemed to be oblivious that I was still standing at the counter 2 feet from the both of them. To top it all off, she punches the male employee during their loud obnoxious conversation. It was all very strange, and very uncomfortable.

When I brought the discrepancy to Jo Anne, she seemed to coach the attendant into saying I got what I paid for, which wasn't true. The interior wasn't even properly cleaned- crumbs and debris still in the center console tray, visible dust and specks on the seats and between the seats (photos attached). The exterior looked no different than it would have after a $40 Chief Peak. I spent about ten minutes trying to sort it out and got nowhere. An hour and a half wait, $130 out the door, for a 30-minute, $40-level service. Really frustrating . I won't be back, and I wish there were more car wash options in town.

When my battery died for the second time, I decided it was time for a new one and called R & R Motorworks. I spoke with Ryan, who was exceptionally responsive, kind, and helpful. He drove from Goleta to Santa Barbara the very next morning and installed the new battery for me. Ryan very generously chose not to charge me labor for the installation because it was such a quick, simple job on the Miata. I certainly would not expect that to be his normal practice, but I thought it said a great deal about the way he treats a potential new customer. He could easily have just sold me the battery and left it at that. Instead, he made the extra trip, took care of everything, and made the whole experience easy for me. What impressed me even more was how knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic he is about Miatas. He clearly has a real passion for these cars, and that matters enormously to me. A 1994 Miata is not just another car to me, and I want someone caring for it who understands and appreciates an older Miata. Ryan went well above and beyond what I expected. After worrying where I would take my car next, I am genuinely delighted to feel that I have finally found someone knowledgeable, trustworthy, and dependable to care for my vintage Miata. That peace of mind is worth a great deal to me. I highly recommend Ryan and R & R Motorworks.
