Usa muffler is really one of a kind! I was leaving to drive across the country for a move and had my car scheduled on a Wednesday to get a "check up". I was set to leave the following Monday. Tuesday afternoon rolls around and my car engine temp light comes on. I call USA and they instructed me what to do- I ended up dropping my car off a few hours later and turns out my water pump blew and my AC was about to go (the ac was going in and out that day but I just thought it was because of how hot it was). Anyways, the prioritized my car maintenance and got me my car back by Friday! I would have been stuck on the side of the road in middle of no where Wyoming without them!! There is a reason that USA Muffler gets 5 stars overall. They deserve every star. Joe Heyd, who is the owner has created a great car repair place and I thank him for it. My Mom was getting service done by them and when I needed car repairs, she recommended me to them. I have been to them several times now. Service is EXCELLENT! Why? Because, front desk staff is helpful and friendly and this repair shop is not going to rip you off with telling you about false repairs you need. This shop has my utmost respect and trust because there have been 2 instances where I have taken my car to the dealership for repair. In one instance, the dealer told me my "check engine" light was due to a part that needed total replacement. When I got a 2nd opinion from USA, they gave me an option to clean the part and was honest with me that if that light came back on, it would need to be replaced. That repair was done in 2012 and that light still has not come back on!!!! Woo Hoo!! On 6/4/15, I brought my car to USA due to the dealership telling me that my radiator hose needed replacing. After USA checking my car, it was determined that the dealership was completely wrong and didn't notice that my motor mount was damaged which was the real cause of the problem for repair. I was so glad that USA gave me the right diagnosis while also giving me fair prices. I cannot thank them enough and I will continue to use them for service and recommend them to others. Out the blue my truck started to have a loud putting sound when i hit the gas then the check engine light came on and i thought the engine was going bad or something. So i hopped on yelp and found this place so i made a appointment to drop it off. I got a call later in the day saying the manifold was cracked i told them to fix it because i didn't want to be car less. I went back to the shop they showed me the part cracked without me asking and got the job done right. The fact that I had one in my car doesn't make up for the one that was missing. I HAD four locking lugs and after getting work done by your shop I only had three. I didn't spend my money on them just for one to disappear. If you're going to bring up that you came out to talk to my mom and I, I would prefer you tell the story correctly. You said for us to find a recent picture or video with a time stamp. After saying that you walked away in a manner that said you would not be coming back to continue a conversation. I took a couple of minutes to see if I had any proof of that and then I drove away from your business. If you were truly concerned, you would contacted my mom that day instead of bombarding her phone with calls a day later after seeing my Yelp review. I have no reason to lie about something as small as a locking lug. It's just unfortunate that I serve a country for businesses like this that don't value a customer's belongings and act as though it's not their problem. read more

Being a woman, I was really skeptical about automotive service places. Typically, these places can't be trusted. If you don't know what you are looking at and ask questions, it seems as if they are not listening and find something else wrong with your car. I first came to this location about 10 years ago. I had a car that I had driven for 13 yrs. I went down into a big pothole. There were so many things wrong with this car. I suggested that they fix it. The manager told me that he would not recommend it because my car had bottomed up. He actually refused to fix it because he said I would be putting to much money in this car and I would keep getting different things done to it probably every month. I was glad he was honest with me and did not want to take my money. I have gone to the dealership (I know the prices for service are ridiculous) to get an oil change. I knew I needed my front brakes pads changed. The dealership lied and told me that my back brakes needed to be changed immediately and I had a hole in my oil pan. I took my car to this location and I told them I needed my back brakes fixed and an oil pan. There first response was it was doubtful about the back brakes. My back brakes and oil pan were fine and I just needed pads for my front brakes. I have recommended everyone I know to this place. I scheduled an appointment on-line and I got an (almost) immediate email response that my appointment was confirmed, even though it was for the next day. I showed up right on time, and the owner asked me if I was Michelle. I thought it was nice that he knew his appointment book well enough to know that I was coming in. But, little did I know, I had scheduled my appointment for the NEXT month. He said that they would be able to get me in right away anyway-- awesome. I came back a little later to pick up my car from the oil change and they had done a complimentary break-check up. Turns out that I needed more help then I realized. Fast and professional service. A bit pricey but they work fast. Didn't reset my oil life meter after an oil change, and my tires pressure sensor seems to be acting up which they didn't seem to notice either. Car's temperature was going crazy and I didn't know what was wrong as I was traveling at the moment and did not live in the area. I expressed concern that I really needed to know what was wrong with it ASAP as I had no place to stay if it needed overnight work. They immediately went to work and it and found out it was just out of coolant. They filled it up at without charging me. Not what it once was. In the past they did deserve their 4 star reviews. Recently...not sure what is going on but it's not the same place. The same owner is there, Joe, but...something is not right with this place anymore. I got overcharged by $300+ and if I had not checked my receipt (then did a google search to make sure I was right) I would never have known. The owner was nonchalant about it too like it was no big deal and based on another review here where an owner was overcharged by $400 I can see why! There is a scam going on now. Loyal people who trust the owner and the work are not checking their receipts because they never had to. If you go here check your receipt! check your parts (off market, generic), get a second opinion regarding the work suggested. The same mechanics who used to be there are gone. I was referred to this particular USA Muffler from another well known auto repair business in Merrionette Park. For me, this was a positive indicator. You never want to turn business away unless someone else can do the job better. The first servicing job I had done there was resolved in less than an hour for less than 50% of the price I was quoted. However; this was because USA Muffler serviced me with a less exception option I had not known would resolve my problem. And, it did resolve it, as a year later I have not had a recurring problem. Just came back from them servicing my car once again, and extremely satisfied as my car drives perfect. Not bad for a 2001 car who has had more than 2 prior owners with over 175,000 miles! read more
