I have Audi's and several years ago my tech at Downtown Los Angeles Audi recommended I try this shop for my smog checks. Even though I am not convinced the entire smog check requirement is some type of hustle, if you want to get your vehicle registered then you must comply. This place is solid and assuming that dreadful check engine light is not on, you will be in and out in no time. I had to get my Audi TT smogged today and the cost was $50 so like they say, it is what it is!!!!! I'd left my vehicle re-registration to the last minute and discovered I needed the STAR smog test machine. I took it here (based on positive Yelp reviews) and my car didn't pass--I hadn't driven at all in several weeks, and the gentleman who ran the shop explained that my catalytic converter had lost all its information. He said to come back for a retest after I'd driven it 50 miles on the freeway. I was worried that I'd miss the registration deadline and have to pay extra, but he checked and said I could pay my registration plus his test fee right then and submit the retest later at no extra charge (for the registration or the test). A few days later I drove the freeways for 50 miles and took it back to his shop. He tested my car again, I passed, and that was it. I'll certainly use this shop next time, and I recommend it highly! read more

Extremely fast and efficient. I went without an appointment around 9 AM Wednesday and I was seen immediately. I was a bit worried that my SMOG test would not pass cause I was overdue for an oil change, but I passed and was ready to renew my registration. Took 15 minutes and then made my way to the terrible DMV. They looked it up and saw my passed Smog test. I brought the paperwork just in case but apparently once the guy scans your VIN.
