Quoted me at $100 and charged me not a dime more. Smog took about 45 min (typical for an older vehicle, pre-1996, like mine). They were efficient, friendly, and kind. I've been overcharged at other places before, but these guys were great. Highly recommend. Plus there's a waiting room with comfy recliners, AC, bathroom, WiFi, and even a coffee machine.

Though I spoke with several different individuals and shops, none were able to complete this specific repair surprisingly. Some shops just never got back to me. I turned to Yelp, and though I received several replies regarding my request for a quote, most advised that I bring the car in for a preliminary diagnostic (accompanied by a flat rate) and then they would quote how much the actual part and labor would be (more $$$) Enter Armen from Hollywood Star Smog Check & Auto Repair who not only responded quickly but clearly with my exact request - a flat quote for the part and labor. I gave him the green light, and he ordered the part from the vehicle manufacturer, and confirmed how long the fix would take and when to come in. I went in this morning, and everyone was kind and helpful. Armen even showed me the cracked hose after he took it out of my car and explained why he prefers to get manufacturer's parts when he can for specific issues My car passed its Smog Check after this repair.
