Made it to Ushio for my first visit. It was happy hour so I tried two rolls: JB and fire dragon. Both rolls were fine. It was 20% off all rolls for HH which brought it to a more competitive price. They gave plenty of ginger/gari which was great. I wish there were more specialty rolls with salmon as primary but there was just the one. Also, a regular salmon roll was not on the menu which I found odd since tuna roll was there. I decided to finish my meal with one of my favorites: hotate/scallop. The nigiri is listed as 2pc and sashimi as 3pc. I went sashimi since I was relatively full. It was basically one a scallop cut into thirds. Misleading for sure but I expected something like this. What I did not expect was that the scallop was lightly seared. It gave the scallop like a char aroma. While it wasn't bad, it was not what I wanted. Now I know scallops here are a no go for me. Service was good. It was not very busy when I was there. I would come back for HH and to try some of their cocktails. Not enough value for me otherwise.

Tuesday night dad, daughter, dinner. They don't happen as often as theybused to, this is her favorite local sushi spot. Good taste must run in the fam! Local vibes in all the good ways. We're always greeted with a friendly face, and you never notice a difference in service between all of the staff that assists during our meals. Like most visits, I opt for my own nigiri and hand roll selections, based on my mood and cravings. This time, it was salmon & ikura nigiri, eel/cucumber/avocado & salmon skin handrails, scallop sashimi, with a miso soup starter. My daughter had a jb roll, tuna yuke, and a miso soup as well. The tuna yuke has their own sauce and unique spin we both enjoy. Nothing fancy about any of the items, which is exactly what we look for from our local sushi go to. Knowing what to expect and delivering consistency from a sushi/sashimi spot is important. Sometimes you want comfort food instead of fusion or suprise creations. That's what you'll get here. Although they do offer many unique rolls and Japanese cuisine creations of that's your flavor when you visit. The scallop was perfectly fresh, salmon skin crispy, along with the nori cones on both handrolls. The ikura nigiri was sweet and salty, cured perfectly, without a touch of soy needed. I washed it all down with a couple of Kirin Lights, served in an icy cold mug. Everything executed the same way it was every prior visit. If you're not from the area, check it out, if you are, maybe give it a shot to be one of your regular sushi spots.

We have lost count of how many times we've come to have sushi here. One of the best sushi spots we have discovered so far. Especially if you are a fan of sashimi and Nigiri. The fish is always very fresh! The cuts are decently sized, and the price for the platter is unbeatable (60$). They rotate the fish often so you get to try different variety. The place is cozy. And the service is always on point and pretty fast. We've been attended by every server there in are always very happy with our service. Must try!

Best ramen and Pad Thai in town! This place was recommended by my family and boy it was great! I'm a huge fan of pad Thai and this one I had here was delicious. Perfect lil cooked, flavor was on point and it had a lot of chicken. Just writing about this is making my mouth water. The ramen was even better, broth was so flavorful and the pork belly was delicious. The waitress was super nice and the owner came by to see how everything was. They even provided our table with cotton candy after the bill as a dessert. Everything was delicious and it exceeded our expectations when it comes with ramen and sushi. We also did order sushi rolls which was good too but our favorite was the ramen and pad Thai hands down.

I was in the area and had wanted to grab a wick bite so, I opted for Ushio Suchi, and everything I ordered was spot on. I'd gotten the crab Rangoon appetizer, along with the Snow White special roll, and spicy salmon roll, all were equally delicious. The restaurant was not busy at all when I popped in. There was soft music playing in the back and dim lighting, very calm setting. I went over to the take-out counter and placed my order and was told it would take 15-20min Pricing was a bit on the higher side, it was close to $40 just for the 3 items. However, what I ordered tased wonderful. The rangoons were packed with a very flavorful mixture of crab and different seasonings, it was not just the typical take out style that would just be filled with a cream cheese and bits of imitation crab, this had green onions, some shreds of carrots and lots more, it was my favorite item I ordered. As for 2 rolls: both were great, my more favorite of the two was the Snow White. I would probably dine in next time and try some of their other items, once I do I'll have an updated review.

This place used to be my favorite sushi restaurant in Davie. I ordered a house salad and a spicy tuna roll for takeout, but was unpleasantly greeted by a huge black hair in my salad. I could not finish my meal, and I will not be returning here. The restaurant was kind and voided the charge. But I am very disappointed with the lack of cleanliness this place has.

Probably one of the freshest fish on the Broward area! I love the king salmon and yellowtail. Recently ordered a combo which came with a fish I haven't previously tried- Wahoo, which I didn't love. The hamachi Kama also soo good. I prefer it with the ponzu sauce instead of the teriyaki - like sauce that it's served with. But otherwise have only had good experiences here.

We went on a Friday night around 7. The aesthetic is simple , the establishment has photos around the restaurant and elevator like music in the background . It was pretty empty when we arrived. As a result the service was very attentive due to not being busy. They immediately served us water and the condiments for sushi. My date and I both ordered the Yuzu drop. It was good but surprisingly thick which is because of the cloudy saki. I personal was not a huge fan. I wouldn't get it again. Nothing against the drink, just not my particular preference for a drink. I would have gotten the lycheetini but they said they did not have it that particular day. We got the jalapeño hamachi and mix tempura for apps. They were good but they were also very simple dishes to begin with. The mix tempura only had two small pieces of shrimp. I felt they could have given either bigger pieces or at least one more. For sushi we did the spicy salmon roll and red dragon. The sushi was very bland. For such basic rolls, I would have expected more flavor and just an overall fresher taste. Although the rice ratio was good, there was more fish to rice ratio, the overall quality was average. I would not go to this place again and probably wouldn't order takeout either. Just better options in the area. However, for a quick, attentive dinner- it may be a good option for other people.

Lunch Special Poke Bowls where you can choose up to 5 items for your bowl for $12.95 is not only a steal but a fulfilling, light, on-the-healthier side, great idea. Love me a sushi date at Ushio. There's new decor. And OPEN ALL DAY (confirmed this March of 2025). They no longer close for lunch. I'm so glad I tried something new at my favorite local sushi spot.

This will be my new go to sushi spot. I was greeted promptly as I walked in and the service is fast and friendly. I went one night for dinner and was back the next day for lunch. I asked my waitress for a recommendation and she was very knowledgeable. The place can be nice for a date night or just to hang with friends or family. Not suspect fancy but enough to dress up a little bit for. The night I went I ordered the Davie roll and the tonkotsu ramen spicy which were both delicious. So much so that I took a bowl of ramen to go for my mom and the rest of my sushi for my daughter. My daughter loved it so much that she asked to return again the next day for lunch, so we did. They have really nice and affordable lunch specials as well as happy hour specials. The food is also really affordable so we will be back !!!

New manager is running our favorite spot into the ground! We ordered our usual rolls and we specifically asked for no wasabi, instead we got mounds of it and it rubbed all over our rolls. We ordered the fiesta roll and asked for no jalapeño and spicy habanero sauce and instead got tons of jalapeño chopped up and put in roll. I called to nicely let them know and the new manager was entirely rude. The owners are apparently "away for a while" and it shows. They're lovely people and it's a shame this manager can't run their business properly. Sadly won't be going back and we normally eat their weekly. read more

love this place. it's a quick spot to go during lunch breaks thanks the conveyor belt. There sushi plates on the conveyor belts are always VERY fresh because they get picked up so fast. We would also go there for dinner and get food that takes more preparation. The chef would come out to greet us and tell us about their daily specials, and we always trust the chef with our plates, so we just ask him to make whatever he recommends based on our craving that day, sometimes we would tell him our budget ...just in case. Some days we would get some really nice sashimi cuts from fresh tuna or other fish that just arrived to the restaurant ;) read more

We have eaten here several times. The sushi is good. The service not so great. It seems like every time we've eaten here there is always something. There has been many occasions that we have gone with family of 4 and even family of 8 with 2 kids. My dad always gets the Katsu Chicken. No matter what there is always something with his order. Everyone else orders sushi. Food is never brought out together, the first rime everyone was served their sushi & when we said we were waiting for his chicken "oh yeah, we ran out". The 2nd time, again everyone ordered sushi and dad patiently waited for his food 20 mins. Everyone was almost done with their sushi before he got his food. When we went with a big group of family, again sushi was ordered, appetizers, 2 kids meals and a boat of sushi,everyone is almost done and my dad is still waiting for his food. My final straw before writing this review was we ordered 3 rolls, 2 rolls came out and we said we were waiting for another roll...30 mins later still no roll. Now upset I ask about the roll & the waitress says they are deep frying now. 15 mins pass still no sushi and now no waitress. So I ask some guy to check for us he quickly said oh I'll check now but I know they had to redo it because the chef dropped it...if someone were to say something ahead of time then it's a little more understandable. 30 mins and no sushi...unacceptable read more

Was in the area and searched for sushi, this was the highest rated by the most people (by far) but I almost didn't go because Yelp said it was closed at 8 pm on Friday night. Glad I trusted my gut and went anyway because not only was it open, it was packed. There is a separate area for takeout orders right near the kitchen. Would be nice if they added some seating in this area. Looking around this would be a super cute place to come back and dine in. There are all kinds of sakes and prices are very reasonable. I ordered the tuna tacos and asked for the JB roll tempura on the outside which was a $1 upcharge. No biggie because I was expecting a nice coating of batter like you would see on the outside of a tempura shrimp. I felt bad for the sole lady manning the takeout calls and steady stream of people walking in. But she was hustling. In total it was 25 minutes before my food was ready. By the time I got home 15 minutes later the wonton on the tuna tacos was soggy but I guess that is to be expected. It still had a great flavor. The "tempura" on the outside of the roll looked more like some Panko breadcrumbs stuck to the outside. The filling was tasty. All in all it was all right. I live closer to U-Sushi and probably won't go out of my way to return to this place unless I'm dining in and wanting the full experience of the conveyor belt and sake. read more

Favorite favorite favorite local sushi restaurant! My bf and I started coming here a few months ago & haven't gone anywhere else! The staff is super sweet and the food is delicious! They have a conveyer belt that goes around or you can order off the menu as well. Everything is fresh & does not take long to come to the table. We go in between classes, for date night, or when we cant think of what to eat ( always go back to the good places). We order the rock and roll sushi every.single.time. This was the best sushi experience I've had in quite some time. I consider myself a sushi connoisseur and I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing this place was. The fried jalapeño stuffed with crab meat and cream cheese was phenomenal and the fish for my sushi rolls was top class and absolutely butter. Well, despite all the positive and great reviews left in here for this Sushi Restaurant I would have to say I disagree. First impression was not too bad. The sushi is placed on a conveyor belt type of system and the plates go around you lift the window up and grab your plate. We thought it was pretty neat and my husband thought it wouldn't be too bad because the plates were really icy cold, so we both figured it should be fresh. WRONG! We picked the most basic rolls because that's all that kept coming around I mean how hard can it be to make a California Roll and a Rainbow Roll... smh, the rice was kinda soggy along with the cucumbers in the roll. The Tuna on top of the rainbow roll didn't look very fresh it had a dry glare to it . I questioned it and that's when I don't even bother trying it, because if I have to question any kind of freshness with a sushi roll , I'll simply just pass. We ordered some ponzu and eel sauce and I swear it took the waitress forever to bring us sauces. When she finally did come to our table with the sauces I just asked for the check. .. 2 lemonades 1 rainbow roll & a California Roll .. $20 and we were gone. I've never eaten and paid so fast. Bad service, gross sushi rolls overall I won't be coming back here ever again. read more

The ONLY place I go for quality sushi and sashimi. The chef gets fresh Japanese fish weekly that his Omakase is always different, fresh, and amazing. And I love when the chef gets creative because you will taste something you never have tated or seen any where else. read more

Came here for lunch during the work week! So glad I finally made it by. Our server was great, and she was super knowledgeable about what everything was on the menu. The roll lunch deal is AMAZING! For $10 you get a house salad or soup, and then 4 pieces of three different types of rolls. Having tried most of the local sushi joints I can attest to the fact that the assortment you get to choose from for lunch are actually exciting rolls that you will want to eat! We couldn't find the price on the menu, but my mother and I both agreed that we wouldn't have cringed if the lunch cost would have been $15! Looking forward to coming back for dinner or on the weekend so that we can see the conveyor belt in action. Glad to have found this gem in Davie. read more

Delicious food. Drove from Parkland to Davie. Definitely worth the drive. I ordered the chef special. A combination of sushi & sashimi. Also tried the grilled squid which was also delicious. I washed it down with a bottle of cold saki. read more

I love this place. Rotating sushi conveyor belts are unique here. An experience only usually seen in Japan. The owner/chef is a skilled Ramen chef trained in Japan. Very friendly and he will make you an authentic ramen if you ask. The sushi is always convenient and pretty good for being on a conveyor belt. I really have no complaints here of yet and after atleast 5 visits I assign this place 5 stars. read more

The restaurant opens and closes two times during the day. I went at 5pm for dinner and order the shrimp tempura roll and the chicken fried rice. The shrimp tempura roll tasted great and the fried rice tasted good, but it was a little dry. The shrimp tempura roll was $3.50 for 4 rolls and the fried rice was $8. The food came out quick, approximately 10 mins and the service was great! The interior is unique and spacious. read more

Don't even get me started on Ushio! This place is my jam! I love sushi places with a conveyor belt because it gives me the option to have a fast meal on my lunch break. Their spicy tuna roll and godzilla roll (shrimp tempura) are my favorites. I also like to order their chicken teriyaki bento box at lunch time. This comes with chicken teriyaki, rice, soup or salad, gyoza, california roll, and vegetable tempura. It's a really good deal for a lot of tasty food. If you feel up to it, try their ramen! Some of the best I've had in South Florida. I order the tonkotsu ramen. This place has great food and the staff is consistently pleasant, keeps me coming back for more. read more

I've been coming here since they were Yuzu Kaiten and I've never ever had a bad experience here. The food is always good, service super friendly, never had to wait a long time for the food. The atmosphere is peaceful and comfortable. They have the best lunch special in the area - poke bowl and bowl of ramen?? Amazing. So very delicious too. Came here twice in one week.... and I love it! Sushi is delivered on a conveyor belt or you can order it from the menu. The sushi is very fresh and tastes great! My favorite is the Snow White Roll. It has crab, cucumber rice and avocado. Soo damn good! They offer other choices other than sushi, however I haven't had any because I love the sushi so damn much. read more

Service is always great! The people get to know you and once they know you they usually bring out whatever you usually ask for. Very kid friendly, assuming your kids and well behaved! They also have a great lunch special for ramen, poke bowls, and bento boxes. The sushi chief, when he has time, comes out and greets the customers as well. Oh yeah, most importantly, the food and always constant! It's never good one day and bad he next! Can't complain! read more

When I went in for lunch it was great and they have good lunch specials! However, I went in late on a weekday and the service felt very rushed to get us out. They had about an hour until closing (it was about 8:45 or 9 and they close at 10) and they started sweeping under the tables, which was gross to look at while eating, and it was very apparent that they just wanted to leave. The food itself is good though! I found it a little odd that there aren't many options with eel (I love a good eel avocado roll) but overall they have a wide variety of meal options which is great. From ramen to sushi and other noodle dishes, you don't have to just get sushi. read more

This place has only gotten better and better every time I visit. They opened last year in February, My partner found them in the Chinese newspaper so we decided to go check em out. 1st visit: we ate the sushi in the refrigerated conveyor belt, which is awesome because it show's the establishment cares for the well-being of it's patrons, that way raw food is not just sitting out and about. The conveyor sushi is okay, then Chef Kurt came over to greet us, we chatted and asked him if he does special requests. This was the magical moment. The Chef's Special was very fresh. Sweet shrimp, deep sea salmon, fatty salmon, Japanese Tile fish, Blue Fin Tuna, himmachi, one more, couldn't understand my server, but all was delish with some to take home. Previous reviews said appetizer included, but just soup or salad. $35 worth it. $7.50 for hot sake. Service was amazing. Even iced down my leftovers. I will be back. I ran into a couple of ads for this place and given the reviews I decided to check it out. Upon arriving, I could see the conveyor belts in between the booths, which seems like such a fun idea. Since it was towards the end of their lunchtime hour they were not running so I ordered directly from the menu. I ordered two orders of the jury (includes two per order) as well as a four piece. They offer 4 piece or 8 piece orders of each roll, which I liked because you can sample a different items without having to order a ton of food. The nigiri tasted quite fresh and the fiestas roll was very well made! It had tons of flavor, great texture, and they even properly washed the jalapeños on top - which gave all the flavor without the burn. Overall my experience was good and I look forward to coming back again to try the rest of the menu. read more

I'm sitting at the table next to the conveyor belt as I write!! Don't miss out on this place!! GO! A customer recommended this place and I read reviews and saw the pics and it all looked good.... ITS FABULOUS! I tried three rolls off the conveyor belt, all uniques and delicious... I wasn't adventurous enough to try the baby octopus salad as it went around the belt... I ordered fried Soft Shell Crab and Crazy Jalapeño apps off the menu... wow! The soft shell crab was fried perfectly. I didn't even bother with the sauce it came with because the crab tasted so fresh and yummy!! The crabmeat and cream cheese stuffed jalapeño was spicy, crispy and not what I was expecting being from the pub life of jalapeño poppers! It was again freshly made and stuffed with crabmeat!! Horrible service here. Very poor. Took out order, and somehow forgot to put it in. Tables that came in after us were getting their food and we not. I finally asked, they apologized and did nothing to make our meal better. The servers never asked if I wanted my beer refilled, I had to chase them down. Also, takes forever for the servers to clear the empty plates off our table. Please Ushio Sushi, dont bull$hit me and say it was busy. I see these two servers attending to wveryone elses needs. There are only a few deli style restaurants in the Town of Davie so if you're feeling a liitle under the weather you can stop in here and grab a quart of Chicken Noodle or Matzo Ball soup for $11.99. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with a modern black & white color scheme.

Such a happy accident! Our waitress was really nice, we got seated right away, and there were plenty of TVs everywhere to watch the game. We ordered a pitcher of soda and got a free order of nachos-their Monday special and such a great deal. You really can't go wrong with Flanigan's!

優れました ~ Based on all the Yelp reviews, we where in the Davie area today and decided to try this establishment. ~ The ambiance of the restaurant was exactly what my partner explained that her sushi experiences were in Hong Kong w/ the stainless steel belt conveyor circling around the inside of the very comfortable booth seating area and sushi bar. Our waitress "Zoe" was very knowledgeable about what we wanted and was sure that our order was properly spaced out so that we could enjoy our delicacies over a 90 minute lunch. We all shared: ~ Fiesta Roll ~ that was a shrimp and spicy tuna roll with an I/O yellowtail jalapeño dressing on top. (had a nice bite to it) ~ Tonkotsu Ramen ~ that consisted of a thin Japanese egg noodles in a rich pork broth, yellow corn, seaweed squares, bamboo shoots, a marinated boiled egg that had a great taste of soy sauce permeated throughout it, large pieces (8) of pork belly chanshu and a garnish of Japanese scallions. (house special) ~ Hamachi Kama ~ this is the collar (jawbone) of a yellowtail fish. It is the most fatty and juicy part of the fish and a delicacy that most Americans are not aware of. It was grilled to perfection until the skin was crispy, crunchy and the meat was moist and juicy. The portion (see picture) was so large that it would be a minimum of two orders at any other Sushi restaurant in the BPB area. (very tasty) ~ Salmon Kama ~ these salmon collars where also grilled to perfection that was also very juicy and tender and the portions once again was "HUGE" (see picture) ~ Crispy Tacos ~ two delicately prepared tacos that where made from a light crispy wonton wrapper filled with spicy tuna, avocado and a flavorful steamed white rice ~ (excellent) ~ "Special" Spicy Scallop Hand Roll ~ ....this was not on the menu but we saw it on a previous Yelp review and asked if they could prepare one for us. OMG, it was so large and filled to the brim with luscious scallops in a savory and tangy mayo sauce. (awesome) Their "Iced Green Tea" was excellent and our glasses where never half emptied before Zoe refilled them for us. ~ (thirst quencher) Overall the culinary experience was such a treat, very reasonably priced and left us completely satisfied. Ushio Sushi is a medium-sized restaurant with a welcoming, relaxed vibe. When we arrived, we were seated immediately, which was a great start. It appeared there was only our waitress and maybe one other staff member working, but despite that, the service felt friendly and attentive. I ordered the crab rangoons, which were hot, crispy, and full of flavor. They came with a sweet and sour sauce that had just the right amount of spice. For my main dish, I ordered the caterpillar roll and the JB tempura roll, both of which I enjoyed. My kids ordered California rolls. My only downside was the timing of the food. My dishes came out first, and my youngest son had to wait quite a while before his roll arrived. I prefer when everyone's food comes out together, especially when dining with kids. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. While the timing could be improved, the food and vibe were good enough that I would probably come back. read more

Ushio Sushi absolutely knocked it out of the park for our New Year's Eve celebration! They delivered an incredible sushi boat straight to our house, and it was hands down the highlight of the night. The boat was packed with a huge variety of super fresh sashimi, beautifully crafted rolls, and stunning details that made it almost too pretty to eat (almost!). Everything was arranged so perfectly, and you could tell they put a lot of care into every single piece. It wasn't just about how gorgeous it looked--the flavors were amazing too. From melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to flavorful and creative rolls, every bite was spot on. To be honest, Ushio is a very good restaurant. My girlfriend and I love the sushi and lunch menu. However, my biggest issue in regards to Ushio is the consistency in the quality of food they serve! The freshness and quality of ingredient is essential for sushi restaurant! There are times I go there and the fish will be really fresh, while other times can be disappointing. For instance, the poke bowl I purchase was right around their opening. However, some of the fish has funky smell to it. I don't recommend getting the Escolar (white tuna) as I have to completely throw them out. They are way to fatty and you can see the fat secreting out of the fish. This sushi restaurant is our absolute favorite because the fish is always fresh and the sushi tastes incredible. The rice is always delicious, and we appreciate that the layer of rice is nice and thin, which really sets it apart from other places we've tried. No matter where we go or how many sushi restaurants we check out, we always find ourselves thinking that Ushio Sushi is the best. We often feel disappointed after spending money at other sushi spots that may look appealing but just don't compare to the quality at Ushio. My new favorite sushi place. I am a vegan so veggie sushi is veggie sushi but this is different! It is wrapped in soy bean paper instead of seaweed which changed the consistency and taste FOR THE BETTER! I really loved it. Everyone in my party was very happy. Ate dinner here tonight. Horrible to say the least. The spider roll tasted spoiled. Had a terrible taste in my mouth. The waitress said they are using a new company. She took it off our bill, but no one came to the table to apologize or offer us another roll. To top it off, the ladies bathroom was filthy. Actually, the floors in the restaurant were, too. I had the omakase. There was a variety of sashimi which included amberjack and Toro! It was creamy and buttery. The selection was very fresh and I overheard the chef that said the fish just came in today. I went right when it opened so not many people but a lot of the sushi inside the conveyor belt was fresh. This place is good if you want sushi or something from the itemized menu. The ramen noodles, udon dishes, and the bento box and some of the regular dishes that you would expect at a Japanese restaurant unfortunately are NOT good. I've been eating here almost every day for the last week! Totally love this place. It has a sushi conveyer belt that goals around your table the whole time you eat. This place is awesome! I'm very picky when it comes to sushi if the fish is not cut properly because its usually chewy, but they are spot on here!
