Sakura is affordable and doing things right. This spot is hidden in the coquina Publix plaza next to blue ginger. We've always loved coming for boba especially the brown sugar. Now we love popping in once a month for our ramen fix. The crab Rangoons are some of my kids favorite. The staff is always super welcoming and the restaurant is so clean. The menu has a nice variety and the food is always fresh. If you're in the area I would definitely give it a try. read more

We were going to stop at Publix to get something really quick but that didn't exactly happen since this Ramen spot distracted us with their giant bubble tea teddy bear outside. Naturally, had to walk in and get myself a Thai tea bubble tea, because I have free will and I can. So I did =) This cute little spot is super small and cozy but the menu looks SO delicious I wanted to just cancel the rest of the day and have some ramen. This is essentially our go-to spot when we don't want to cook and are looking for reliably good ramen close to home. We've never eaten in-house, so I can't comment on dining service. But we've never ordered a meal and not received exactly what we requested so at least they're meticulous enough to get our orders right every time. All the broths we've tried have been flavorful and delicious and the dishes are large. Prices are reasonable too! I got the tonkotsu ramen because I saw a picture of it on Yelp and the broth looked incredibly creamy and delicious. The broth I got wasn't very creamy, and again was flavorless. I don't normally post negative reviews, but ramen is one of my favorite cuisines to eat, and the lack of flavor was very disappointing. On the bright side, the service was good and the restaurant was clean. There are lots of parking options right outside the restaurant. You sit and you have a server, but nothing special. Menu features a variety of Asian options. We ordered the Chinese pancakes and tonkotsu ramen. The pancakes were fried pastry goodness. The ramen left something to be desired. Everything in the ramen had a draw back: pork was tough but had good flavor, egg was cold and slightly overcooked but good flavor, broth was soothing but not anything to call home about, the noodles were the just disappointing. Food is served in small bowls, china blue, chopsticks and ice water in a metal cup. It's the bare bones but it's the food I come here for. The prices are good at least during this phase of our society where food is becoming more and more expensive and Un affordable . Ever since we found this ramen place, it's become one of our favorite spot to hit after a day of shopping or before the movies. It's in the same plaza with Cinemark. I love the spicy Sakura bowl and my daughter loves her miso! And she always chooses the beef as her protein (additional surcharge) while I opt for chicken. We love Sakura and get takeout on a regular basis as we live nearby. Such a wonderful discovery close to home. Friendly and fast service, cozy ambiance next to Publix, and centrally located with plenty of parking. The food is great, so you really can't go wrong with anything you order here. Good vegetable spring roll appetizer. My go-to order is the Sakura Spicy Ramen with chicken + add on shrimp tempura. Soooo good... really yummy comfort food. Be warned that the spice level is quite respectable, so order with caution. I also love their miso ramen if you don't like spicy food. They will also customize the ramen broth upon request, which we really appreciate! Very flavorful fried rice (we like the beef, chicken & shrimp combo). Wow, wow, wow! I think we may have found the best ramen in town. Passed by last week with my neighbor. We had decided to grab dinner and this was the place chosen. We had previously spoken of meeting up there, seeing as we had seen this restaurant another day when we had had sushi in the same plaza. Anyhow, he arrived first and told me that the place was packed and that he was trying to see if he could get a booth for us. Because it was just two people, they were insistent on him using a table. Then when I arrived, another employee gave him the okay for a booth. Okay, well - that was weird. So there we were sitting in our booth when they provided us with menus. My neighbor surprisingly had never had ramen before, so of course that's what we ordered. I ordered the sakura spicy ramen with pork belly and he had the tonkotsu with pork belly. I wound up ordering that for him as it's a classic and he wanted to avoid spicy food. I had asked for some bowls so we could taste each other's food. Have to say that his tonkotsu was delightful and I'd probably order this when I don't feel like spicy food (rare for me, but it DOES happen once in a blue moon). He tried my sakura spicy ramen and told me that while tasty, he didn't he'd order this. It was too spicy for him. As for me, it was just right. It had flavor, it had kick. It was amazing. I will say though that usually restaurants advertise a dish as spicy and that isn't the case. Here it is. It's not unbearably spicy, but you will certainly taste the difference in comparison to other food. Speaking of other food, we also had some spring rolls and scallion pancakes. Both were just made and they were the perfect accompaniments to our meals. Honestly speaking, this was the best meal I have had in ages. I was tickled pink and heavily surprised. Unfortunately, for as fresh and flavorful as the food is, I find it weird that meats for ramen are sold separately, and moreover, the service is blasé at best. Employees are rushing you, constantly checking up on you, and generally just want you gone. Seems factorylike as the moment they attend you, they're already seeing when you leave to attend the next customer. I don't recommend going to Sakura Ramen if you want to lounge around and have a conversation. This is a quick stop for food and that's about it. You may be better off getting take-out. Today I went out to a nice dinner with my good friend Michael. We decided on this place after last year, we tried blue ginger which is a few doors down in the same plaza. This place is located in a shopping plaza near a Publix. When I arrived at Sakura ramen, I noticed the decor. The walls are plastered with asian like art characters of Mount Fuji, cherry blossom , noddles bowl emojis, and there was plenty of spacing between tables. The place offers dine in and take out. Michael had reserved a seat for me at the table. He was seated and had the chopsticks and napkin. I had to grab a napkin and chopsticks from another table. This is what I consider a negative. Michael ordered the mango boba tea and I had a water. The waiter supplied straws. It took me a few minutes to order, 1. Because I have never been to a ramen restaurant, 2. I never ate instant ramen as a child as my mom banned it due to salt content, and 3. I have only had ramen soup homemade once. I decided not to risk ordering ramen. When the waiter was ready, I gave my order, which was Korean spicy cheese noodle a little spicy with pork. Michael had miso ramen with chicken. My dish was heaven on earth. It was salty, fatty, spicy, cheesy,sweet and savory. My mouth was in heaven and I savored each and every bite. I did add sweet chili paste oil ( forgot the name) to my noodles which made it sweet and like firecrackers in my mouth. I only ate this meal with chopsticks to savor each and every morsel as the waiter asked if I wanted a fork and I said no. Michael also liked his miso ramen. He did add the chili oil to it as well. He enjoyed his miso ramen also. So overall I had an excellent experience. The food was delightful, the decorations are great, the spacing is good, and the noise level is mild to moderate. The space isn't overwhelming or too noisy. There is no outdoor seating and this isn't a pet friendly establishment. Pros: My dish was incredible-spicy, salty, cheesy, sweet, savory. I did not get sick from the food and I didn't experience food coma or tiredness from eating too much and issue I have often. The atmosphere was calm and the noise level is mild. As someone with sensory issues involving sounds, I could handle the noise level and did not feel overwhelmed. The waiters brought straws out for drinks Cons: It took some prompting for the waiter to bring silverware. When I arrived at the place, I had no chopsticks and napkins. The place doesn't have outdoor seating and would not be appropriate for those who prefer outdoor seating. If you are immune compromised, I recommend masking up and ordering takeout. My advice is to give this place a try to dine in. The staff are friendly. read more

The ramen is consistently good, maybe not the best I've ever had but quite good and not too salty. It's easy enough to get a vegetarian option that is very satisfying.
