If I could give 0 stars I would. I went to drop off 3 packages this past Saturday morning and was told that they cannot give me a receipt. The Asian man working was extremely rude saying that there is a pandemic and to read the sign. I told him that every other post office in the surrounding area provides a receipt: Itasca, Lombard, Villa park, Medinah. Who is going to drop off packages with no record/proof that you dropped anything off? I explained to him that this was a business transaction and that I needed a receipt, he could of cared less and ignored me. I told him that it was a bunch of BS and that he is just lazy. So let me get this straight, you can let me purchase stamps, and have cash flow in between hands, but cannot provide me with a receipt for "pre paid" shipping labels because of a pandemic? Addison, get it together , your employees either need to get re-trained or find a new job. Shame on you!!!! read more

I saw lots of bad reviews of the Addison IL Post Office so I was apprehensive about calling them. However, I just got off of the phone after making a request for them to hold a package until I return from vacation. They were very helpful and took care of my request -- very courteous! read more

Has to be one of the worst post offices in the country. They put the wrong zip code on my Ebay product. Luckily it was caught by the machine and redirected to the correct address. read more

This is the must worst disrespected post office. Let me tell you my experience the Asian guy at the front counter why is he still there after all these bad reviews. But on to the story the man customer service skills is terrible it's clear as day he dont like black we people i notice i was in line the person in front of me was treat with respect (not Black) white actually. He handed him his receipts and items an said have a nice day... once it was my turn i said good morning, he gave me a look like wtf you want instead of say good morning back how can I help/assist you today, no not that at all i ask for 4 stamp envelope he smack his lips and said no immediately we dont have none i ask for stamps he was going to say no also until another work walk into the room.. when I say this man attitude me from the time I walk in and walk out . Two stars? Are you kidding me? This post office is a joke. Went there at 4:00 in the afternoon to mail a package that was already sealed and paid for with a tracking number. The line was to the front door with only one clerk working and a bunch of goof offs in the back goofing it up. This lady came from the back and said anyone picking up or dropping off a package could leave it with her. I said my package was prepaid and I just needed a receipt that I dropped if off. She tells me I have to wait in line if I want a receipt. It's a simple scan of the tracking number that is already on the package and their machine spits out a receipt - a 5 second process. I waited in line for a half an hour for my receipt from the one clerk that was working at the counter. It had to be at least 90 degrees in the building. Obviously no air conditioning, no fans blowing. I felt as though I was going to pass out and I couldn't wait to leave. Never again will I go to this post office. read more

We constantly receive other's mail. Wonder if my mail is going elsewhere? I constantly have missing publications and sometimes never receive paid subscription publications. Red Plum Coupon packets are never delivered consistently. The rotational mail carriers is also a problem. No set carrier. No wonder there are so many problems. This winter one night was told at 5pm our mail was still coming late that night. But it never arrived as the mail carrier never delivered at all that day. Our regular carrier is often absent resulting in our mail not being consistently delivered. There are always delivery problems. The service received when the branch is called is horrific. The individuals answering the phones are less than helpful and quite disinterested. Some have been confrontational at times. The facility workers forget that if they could honor their delivery commitments then calls would not be placed to the office. The problem is the quality of the service and they never deliver consistent service in Addison any longer. They need to bring in management to do the job and straighten their many issues. read more

One star is one too many! I live in Addison but will go to Wood Dale or Itasca if I can. Long lines, unfriendly and indifferent employees. As the weather is getting warmer, I have noticed that we are not getting mail delivered every day. It turns out that my dog barks at the postal carrier and he can choose not to deliver the mail if he feels threatened. We have had the door open with just the screen and evidently that is not protection enough for the postal worker to feel safe. I have a golden lab that we can leave unleashed as we walk because she is that well trained. I have called the post office and that is their policy. I'm certainly not the only house that has a dog that barks. I wonder how long FedEx would be in business if they allowed their truck drivers to not deliver packages because a dog barks. read more

This is the worse post office I've ever had to use. My business has been here over 40 years and they have changed the delivery route again. I received my mail yesterday at 4:20 pm. That means I lost a whole day on the checks I received. Our business closes at 4:30 and even if I stay late I can not get my deposit done it time to make it to my bank since it closes at 5:00. Plus I have to wait on checks before I can ship. UPS is already here and gone by 4:20 - which means my customers also suffer since I can't deliver his product. I have complained numerous times to Evelyn the post master and nothing has been done to help the situation. Maybe it's time to move out of Addison. read more

Worst customer service ever! I don't know why these employes that work here are so mean. I had a letter that was sent back due to postage and paid the same for all my other letters and they said that my stamp was not enough! If it was not enough, why did everyone receive it and this one didn't go through? I had to pay $1.15 plus the regular postage that I originally put on the envelope!. read more

This post office is ridiculous! I live in this town, and today had to drive out of my way to a different town because of how ignorant they are and apparently, they don't know what they're doing. I had a package that needed to be sent out to Motorola with a shipping label dated 9/9/15 and was only able to send it out today due to me being out of town and they told me they couldn't take it because of the previous date. I have never heard of that, so I called Motorola once I got back in my car to see what I was supposed to do now that they wouldn't take my package, and even the lady who worked for Motorola was confused and never heard of that either. So I went back in to speak to a "supervisor" who also told me that they wouldn't take my package because it had to be today's date or a future date. So I walked out and went to a different post office who took my package without question or hesitation. I will never go back to addisons post office not only because of how ignorant they are but they are just so rude uand unfriendly almost as if they don't want to be there! read more

After paying 50 bucks to send something 3-5 days internationally, my letter has yet to be delivered. Its been 9 days so far. I called to complain countless times, only to be told I could go to jail for complaining. I want my money back but there is no chance. I also hope my letter eventually reaches its destination. I don't normally leave reviews but I wanted to let people know since I saw so many negative reviews here that my experience today at the post office was more than pleasant. The manager who's name is Evelyn treated me so nice. I came to pick up a package that for some reason couldn't be delivered to my residence, maybe it was too heavy. Evelyn and the young man at the counter went out of their way to move my package to the side of the building where I could easily load it in my car. She was so sweet and so I felt an urge to write. I feel bad for all of those people who had negative experiences in the past. Apparently there is a new manager and she goes out of her way to be nice to everybody. I even saw how she handled an ugly situation where some very young kids were picking up many greeting cards in a rack while their mother was filling out a form to send a package and Evelyn politely asked them to put them back in the same slot. I know that had to take a lot of restraint. read more
