    The new acacia hardwood floor.

Everything went well. Fair price, kept me informed and stayed on schedule. Quality work with attention to detail. Beautiful acacia hardwood floor.

    A N.

This company is fraudulant and I regret not reading reviews before hiring them. The sales guy was incredibly kind and called every day after to see if we were ready to schedule. It was obnoxious but I can appreciate the hustle. The project manager also called every day after giving my deposit to have my sign a contract I luckily never signed- We were scheduled two months out and they showed the first day on time but to the wrong address even after letting the PM know when we reviewed things. After sorting out the address, they sanded one day and told me I needed to see the stain in person, which is earlier than I had planned, so I booked my entire famly flights home early from a trip to make sure I didn't delay there schedule- to then be ghosted for the next five days. Anyone at the office was impossible to get ahold of and none of the three numbers the workers responded from responded either that entire week but they made sure to debit my account WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION for the completed amount of the job the date it was scheduled to be done and with a $1400 charge for a generator we didn't need and was not used... even though we still couldn't get a hold of anyone and only one day of work had been done. We finally heard from Tara at the office and she scheduled for a new finish date two weeks out. At this point I had to push the rest of the work on our space back and pay for storage for the furniture that couldn't be delivered without the floors being done. The day after they were "done" with the floors we we went by to check on things not knowing they had cleared out and left a tree we had just purchased for over $650 sitting outside on a public sidewalk without any communication letting us know 1. they were finished and 2. that they moved our tree outside The floors looked AWFUL... enuogh so that when I sent photos to get a second opinion they confused the "after" for the "before". They agreed to come back and sand them again and it was the same story- no communication, poor work, and they are only offering us a refund for the generator fee they overcharged us for. This company is slimy- I luckily never signed the contract they tried to force down my throat and have taken it up with my bank but they come in strong with a great salesman and have a recorded hold message that promises amazing things and unfortunately is a complete nightmare. I don't believe in bashing company's with negative reviews but it would feel inhumane to not warn people before investing thousands of dollars with them. The photos I've posted are the AFTERS- their completed work.

This is how Camren installed our quarter round.

I was impressed with his obvious knowledge and that he quickly understood our design vision and offered lots of helpful advice and suggestions. I was having a hard time finding the exact type of quartz I wanted (white with thin brown or gold veins) and Dwight went out looking for me and came back with pictures of several options. He ended up finding exactly what I was looking for. Dwight is easy to get ahold of, which makes him feel like a unicorn in the home improvement industry. He and his team have a well-practiced method for precisely measuring the countertop space and creating beautiful countertops. We did have a brief hiccup in communication when Dwight went out of town, which ended up pushing our install date out a couple days (and we almost deconstructed our kitchen a few days too soon), but we were back in touch quickly and everything worked out. We are so happy with our new countertops and sink - they turned out beautifully! I would definitely recommend working with Dwight and his team.

I had to press Dwight to get them installed by the following week. We had to cancel Thanksgiving dinner because the ovens were sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor unable to be installed without the custom cabinet. Today 1/30/2020 after multiple promises to install the backsplash it is STILL unfinished not even a consideration even after Dwight said "we are a priority". I will never recommend Dwight or Thompson marble to anyone. POOR customer service and the countertops are dirty with glue . He had a worker that had a metric measuring tape without knowledge of how to use it. This worker also wanted to cut a wooden wedge with a Sawzall against my wood kitchen floor. UNBELIEAVABLE!! Had I know this is how we would be treated we would have chosen someone else

Canyon Custom had Jake come out and assured us that after it dried out, it could be refinished and good as new. It took over 3 months to get dried out over the summer, Jake checked it a couple of times. By July, he determined it was ready to sand and refinish. It looked good after, for about 3 weeks. Very quickly it started separating and cupping. I contacted them again, they had no ideas as to why it was doing that. Moisture in the wood was measured again and it was still dry. Originally they guaranteed it for a year, pretty standard, but now they won't do anything and won't respond to me My elderly parents are now out thousands of dollars and have a floor that clearly needs to be replaced. I really wish we would have listened to the other flooring guys, these guys SEEMED good until their service failed and they won't stand behind their work.

Heather apologized after an initial communications misstep, but they just dropped the ball too many times. Jake came over to measure the room, but he never sent the estimate like he said he would. I tried calling to find out what was up, but they kept playing phone games and gave the impression of not caring about me or the job. I guess these folks can afford to jerk people around. Yet another business that doesn't want my money. I'm not sure how ghosting potential clients is profitable, but it seems to be going around a lot lately - maybe the ghosters know something I don't, but it really irritates, frustrates, and inconveniences the clients.

I called Collin based on his positive Yelp reviews, and he not only found the source of the problem pretty quickly -- we had a rotted doorsill next to our deck -- but devised an effective solution. The first thing that impressed me about Collin was his willingness to come to our house and spend an hour without charging getting the lay of the land and forming a hypothesis for what the problem might be. Once he diagnosed it, he had the skills and tools to address it. We have not had another drop of water in that area since, and it rained twice after he made the repair. While at our place, Collin also fixed a patio gate that was sticking and a garage door that seemed to have developed a mind of its own, closing only when it felt like it. It was a great relief to get that taken care of. Collin charges $65 an hour, which is not cheap but is probably about the going rate in San Francisco. He's pretty busy and might not get back to you right away. That was the case with us, but I'm glad I had the patience to wait until he was available, because he did a fantastic job for us. I would call him back again any day.
