The quality of work and customer service has deteriorated over the years. I will no longer be patronizing this establishment.

When I first got to Utopia, I thought everything was very clean and staff was super friendly. My nail tech was great! She made conversation and made me feel like I was a regular. I'm always hesitant about going somewhere other than my regular nail salon, but this had been rated #1 in Kenosha and I was part of a wedding party, so I figured, "alright, let's indulge in wedding activities". However..... Only 1 WEEK after my appointment (which was with a bridal party) almost ALL of my nails (which were French Tip, btw) have either chipped, cracked or peeled off. What a disappointment! THEN almost all of my toes have become sore with ingrowns- something I don't normally ever get with my normal nail place (like I said, I'm picky about my nail salons). I called the location and the man on the phone only guarantees nails for 1 WEEK- 1 WEEK? REALLY? Everywhere else is 2 weeks! Plus! For the price I paid to get my nails done, I was hoping for some higher quality product AND service. The best he could do was put a $30 credit on my account. Now let's get this straight...by account he meant AT the salon NOT my credit card. $30 doesn't even cover the whole no-chip since my entire bill was $68 (plus tip). And since I live over an hour away the best he could do was transfer my "credit" to a friend that lives in the area. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to the salon. The manager at this location is extremely rude. Either try the Green Bay Rd location or find another shop altogether. Star Nails is an excellent alternative with less attitude and more focus on delivering quality service. read more

Really a relaxing experience! Went for a manicure and pedicure today. Loved the quiet zone in the pedi room. Each foot back was lined and were cleaned after each use. They give a long foot/leg message really relaxing. My nails look so beautiful will be back next Saturday for a mani. I'm so happy I finally found a nail salon, I've been looking for years. Fantastic service, everyone I came into contact with was very respectful and accommodating. I had a spa pedicure and half hour reflexology massage. The pedicure room is beyond words, it is so relaxing in there. They keep it dark and there is a cool water feature and an LED constellation display on the ceiling. I will definitely be back, and will definitely recommend. read more

Yesterday was my first time at Utopia 2. I'm from Illinois and am temporarily working down the street so I checked out the Yelp reviews before I stopped in last week to make an appointment. This place is nice. The pedi room is AMAZING!! It was tranquil and so relaxing. They had spa music playing, the lights were dim, and the ambiance and decor were perfect. I had Johnny do my pedi/no chip mani and he got my ingrowns without hurting me. The pedi baths all have single liners and they offer a "personal" tools box you can purchase for a one time fee of $5, you bring it back with you everytime & they replace them for free when they go bad. They give you a discounted price if you pay with cash, but they do take cards and tips on there as well. Many places now are starting to only take cash tips. I've never seen a nail salon like this before. Too bad I live so far away from this place but I will be coming here regularly during my time working here in Wisconsin. read more

Way too expensive for the quality. No follow through on their one week warranty for gel polish(with troubles on day two.) I would not recommend visiting, although I have had decent luck with their pedicure services in the past. read more

Honestly one of the worst places I have been too. I was up in Kenosha for the day with my friend and we had booked two mani/pedis. The pedicure wasn't to bad however their could be some sanitary issues there. My girl was not wearing gloves and everything she used on me had already been opened and wasn't sure if it was cleaned or not. Another problem I had is my manicure color chipped not even 7 hrs from when she did it. She did not put a topcoat on my edges like I asked and so of course it chips. Definitely won't be going back. read more

I would give five stars, but to me, this place has one big issue: the pedicure room. But first, the good stuff: Front staff, excellent. Pedicurists - Natalie and her sister Eva are our absolute favorite technicians anywhere on the planet. Natalie treats my elderly Mom as her own and takes such good care of her problematic feet. Eva goes to town on my feet, which are (although younger) also not the best feet. They are excellent. But the main issue is the decor of the pedicure room. It's kind of scary for Mom, who has limited vision. It's also scary for me, with no limited vision. It's a huge room - painted all black. Over each pedicure station is, inexplicably, a fireplace located halfway UP the wall. So a ton of fake fireplaces spinning fake fire all around the upper perimeter of the room. A bizarre cheap looking room divider, with fake plants in it. A ceiling, (also black) with holes poked in it to resemble stars, but which also has rips and tears in it. Each station is illuminated by a single bulb, hanging down. Mom was very disoriented, but we talked her through it and she was fine. One of the fireplaces did not work, so the whole effect was bizarre - like, black walls, black ceiling, janky stars, weird upper level fireplaces. NOT RELAXING. After all this, suddenly, the lights go out mid-pedicure, plunging the room into total darkness, save the stupid fireplaces. I said to Eva, what is going on? She said, oh they shut the lights off for the massage part of the pedicure. Okay, again, disorienting and not relaxing. But since Eva was working her magic on my feet, DESPITE all the visual distractions, I still relaxed and felt great afterwards. And, Mom and I love our feet again. But please for the love of God - redecorate that pedicure room! read more

I came with a bridal party recently. It was my first time here. They give you used sandals and toenail separators (the things that go in between your toes to keep from polish smudging). I don't know how they sanitize these things, but when I saw that you put each item in a box (when you're done) with all the other used ones, I was grossed out. The girl giving me a pedi also had her stuff already out. I don't know if she got new tools or not. Her nail file, in her bucket, was definitely used. She also used a brush on me toe nails to smooth out the nail polish. I was grossed out by that, as well, because of how many other toes were using that. The massage wasn't bad and the pedi room is neat, too. Other then that, I will not be back solely due to the used sandals, nail separators, and nail file. The risk of fungus is too real. Also to mention, my friends pedi and nails (regular mani) looked terrible. Her finger nails and toe nails were smudged within the hour, despite her sitting at the dryer for however long. When looking at her nails, you could see tons of air bubbles. None of our nails looked like that, only hers. Clearly the nail polish was not good. So, she called the salon right away (we did not have time to for her to re-do them as we had rehearsal) and the man said to come in in the morning. I was sitting right next to her when she called. So, she went in the next morning, despite a hectic day with the wedding happening, and the man that was there argued with her. He told her she should have made an apt (which the man on the phone on Friday did NOT say that, as I heard the whole convo) and continued to argue with her. She asked them to give her gel instead of regular so it doesn't smudge again and they refused to just upgrade the nail polish. They wanted to charge her. So, not only were they rude about their mistake, they also had her sitting there for at least 30 min waiting to be seen, despite the man on Friday, telling her to come in when they open and they will take care of her. read more

Amazing place! The prices are so so reasonable - got the spa pedicure and I actually found the music and dark setting of the pedi room to be incredibly unique and relaxing. It's a no-talking zone, so don't plan to chat with your girlfriends, but this was so much more like a spa then for that reason. Vincent gave me an awesome foot/calf massage that must have been 20 minutes - and I loved that they dimmed the lights, totally zoned. Great customer service. I live in Chicago and met my friend from Milwaukee and this will now be our go-to spot. read more

I'm a regular here every 2 weeks. I get the gel manicures and a pedicure every now and then. I recommend Johnny. He does an amazing job every single time and recreates every crazy nail art picture I show him. All of the staff are so nice and it's such a clean place. I'll never go anywhere else. read more

The lady's that we're doing our nails were very unprofessional. They keep on stopping and whispering to each other .

I was very disappointed. The woman who did my nails name was Sally. She cut my toenails way too short and now I have a very bad infection in my toe. I would never go back or recommend to anyone. read more
