Food tastes great, brussel sprouts (we got 2 orders they are so good) and French onion smash burger are 10/10. Very kind service and a smaller indoors. Reasonably priced , will definitely be going back for the shareables dinner vibe!

I came here for a Yelp event and ended up staying and eating because the place looked really nice. I ordered a few tacos and my wife had a wine sampler and ceviche. They have a massive wine menu. The waitress did a great job explaining what the wine options are and the food menu. We really enjoyed dining here. The atmosphere, music, seating area, decor, location, etc. it all has a really great vibe.

Wine list: love the Pinot Grigio!

We've been back to Uva now two times since our first visit. Second time the calamari did not match up. This time we got bruschetta to share. We were surprised the bread wasn't toasted but the tomato/mozzarella blend was okay. Fresh basil would have been a good addition. One person's meal (tacos) came out the same time as the bruschetta. Flatbread pizza next, 1 Cubano next, then the soup and the other Cubano. All were served quickly but it would have been better if the soup was served first and then the other meals. Plus 2 cups of soup were ordered and we got one cup and one bowl. Whatever the drizzle was on the pizza was weird. Tasted like lime? Or something spoiled. WiFi would not work and only had 1 bar on the phones. Sorry, Uva. We wanted to like you.

Dropped in real quick for a Yelp event. Admittedly I couldn't stay and that had me weak in the knees! The business is tucked in up north in a quite busy shopping center but it's easy to navigate your way in! The signage is simplistic and easy to see from the road. Also super helpful! I walked in and checked in and got the perk all while attempting not to stare at what everyone was noshing on. It looked delicious, plus all the wine everywhere was absolutely tempting. The owner was absolutely wonderful and just so sweet! Oh the hostess as well was super friendly. It has to say something about the work environment. Curse these children of mine and their sports! Lol. I did just get home and try the bottle of Angelo Cellars wine and mmmmmm! It was paired with some chicken and wild rice I made. Let me tell you it was absolutely perfect! Not only will I be back for date night, I will be checking the wine out to buy more.

3.5 stars. We booked a reservation for Day 1 of restaurant week because they're on the list of restaurants participating. When we were seated and I asked about the restaurant week menu, they said they weren't doing anything this week, and maybe would plan something for the next weekend. Bummer! So call and ask if you're going to come here for restaurant week. Obviously a lot of choices for wines primarily from the US, France, and Italy. Their house special flights are all reds so I stayed away from those. They have usual house flights, 3 of which are whites and the others are all reds. We chose the Patio Pounders (Reisling, Vinho verde and a Pinot Noir Rose), Great Whites (Souvignon blanc and 2 Chardonnays I think or maybe the other way round) and one of the reds flight that I don't remember the name of now. I liked my Patio Pounders flight. The Rose didn't taste too red and actually was a little on the sweeter side so I did not hate it (my usual reaction to reds/roses). The Vinho verde was a little mild and smooth which I really like. The Reisling was delicious!! Considering the Reisling is my go to white wine, loved this particular glass! My friends enjoyed their flights too but I didn't taste those myself to be able to comment. The food: we were told they have a late shipment so many of the things were not available. We got the burrata, ceviche and the fig and prosciutto flatbread board. The burrata was very nice. The nachos with the ceviche were good but the ceviche itself was just ok. My friend, who is from Miami, was not very impressed. The flat bread was very very good and we recommend that for sure! Pricey place. We each paid about $30 bucks for this whole menu. They also said that reservations are for 90 mins blocks. So you may be asked to leave after then. We finished dot on time, so I can't say that happened to us.

    Amazing wine!

Love love love this place! Craig is always so wonderful and accommodating. He's the bar manager and gives great suggestions on food and wine and amazing service! The baked Brie, calamari, pork cracklins, flat breads and tacos are amazing. The ambiance is quaint and chic. It's so worth a girls night or a date spot!

Steak bites, truffle fries, brownie skillet... I want to come back just to try more food alone. This was insane and the pricing was good, the value was good, and I even ordered truffle fries to go because I loved it so much! What is super fun is that they now have wine tastings on Tuesdays and it is a great deal. $12 for four wines. Someone tells you about each wine and it's a great way to sample a bunch of wines, both local and not. I was super excited about that! I will again, come back to do that! Lots of positives there. And our server was very sweet. She was checking in and making sure we were doing well. I wish I knew her name but sadly I don't. But she was so kind and had a great personality. And everything came out fast! The vibes are also good. I love the outdoor seating/patio options for a hot summer night. And it was very lush. It's funny because I had never heard of this place before but it is in a fantastic area near Night Ramen and Provision Bakery (two amazing spots). Breakfast at Provision, apps and drinks at My Cellar Wine Bar, and maybe a dinner at Night Ramen. Haha! Just kidding, but again, great spot. Here's where I have issues. I worked in the restaurant industry for six years. I understand staying over close and even coming in close to close is a no no (at least for me). But we arrived at 7:30 pm and stayed until 9:45 pm. One of my best friends is getting married so she wanted to show us her dress and share her excitement. At 9 pm (note they close at 10 pm), they turned on the lights, began sweeping, closed the kitchen, and even at one point blasted music. We asked the waitress when they closed the wine bar. 10 pm. But what frustrated me the most is that the manager (I assume) came over and was acting extremely condescending. "I know you girls are having such a good time!!" And was trying to usher us out. Girl. You don't close until 10 pm. It's 9:45. If you didn't want us to stay, then maybe change the hours. I don't care if we are the only ones there. It was extremely rude and the way she said it felt, as I said, condescending. Like we were young and dumb or something. As a diner, I expect great service. Which we got for the most part. But to kick us out before it closes is unprofessional and frustrating. Of course we left, but god forbid a girl get excited about her wedding and wants to share all about it. This left a sour taste in my mouth and again, if you wanted to close early, maybe don't tell patrons the actual time you close: 10 pm. We bought a lot and a bottle of wine. Let us finish our glasses and I promise we will leave before close. I would still come back, but maybe I'll go to Vine and Wheel or another wine bar first.

The first time I was there was many years ago, when the warm fireplace with couches was a centerpiece and memorable. It's upstairs, off the street, windows looking out. I finally made it back with a friend, and we had a great time; however, as John C. said in his comments, I can relate to the (still current) problems they seem to be facing with only one employee available, and no one to make the cheese fondue we were looking forward to. We settled for a cheese and hummus & olive plates, which were good, just not what we wanted. I do not recall the fireplace going. There were a couple of other parties seated at tables, and it seemed as though our server was a bit overwhelmed. He did know about the wine, which we appreciated. My Cubano was very good, the mix of meats included capri cola, chorizo and pork shoulder worked well with their homemade pickles. The house chips were a delight too. The missus' potpie was, in a word, massive. It featured a pie crust that enclosed the ingredients, not just covering the top as done in other establishments. We also got the margherita flatbread, but that didn't feel like a flatbread at all. The bread was thick and made it feel more like a pizza. The taste was good so I won't knock it completely, but I wouldn't be calling that a flatbread. Service was great, just a shame the food doesn't live up to expectations. Nestled among the peaks of the Sawatch Range, where tumbleweeds might theoretically roll if they weren't caught in the spokes of a passing bicycle, sits an establishment of peculiar perfection: The Biker & The Baker. My compass has unerringly pointed to their door every single time I visit Salida over the past five years. It is a tradition forged in sugar and chain grease, where the rugged American West meets the precision of French pastry. Pairing high-desert riding with artisanal baking seems like a recipe for a pile-up, but the execution here is a sweet ride. You will find aerodynamic cyclists sitting elbow-to-elbow with flannel-draped modern prospectors, united by a singular quest for butter. The Biker handles the gears, the Baker handles the tiers. They aren't just coasting on charm; they are pedaling toward culinary triumph, baking up a storm that rivals the monsoons over the Arkansas River. The confections are miniature monuments to indulgence. I have routinely panned for gold in this valley, but the true motherlode is their lemon tart--a symmetrical marvel of citrus striking like a high-noon sun. Their charcuterie boards are arranged with the geometric exactitude of a surveyor mapping a railroad.
