I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. Prior to now, I've never been a spray-tan kind of person, but once I came here and met Lenora, I was hooked! The place itself is great and has so much to offer, not just limited to tanning. The staff and owner are super welcoming too. The place truly feels like the "Cheers" of spray-tanning! I found Uvason on Yelp because it was the closest to my place and when I looked over the reviews and visuals I got a positive sense of the place prior to my first visit. The owner of the place Greg was so informative, kind and friendly that my very first time of using tanning bed was really smooth and comfortable. When I told him that my main goal is to get tanning prior to my bodybuilding contest we go over the timeline and different packages/pricing, different tanning styles, levels, duration etc. Therefore, he took very good care of me, explained how the skin/tanning works throughtout the process while taking time to go over all of my questions and we had a nice conversation going on afterwards. A wonderful experience here. Very clean, staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. Love the fact that they have a parking lot -- always a spot available, too, which saves me time and the dreaded parking citation that can cost half a paycheck if you get one. I used their new Body Contouring service and was very pleased, lost 7 inches on my first session so I bought the monthly package. I also used the red light for the face (can't remember the service name) and my skin has never looked better. Looking forward to using their new sauna-pod capsule .... maybe next month :) They have created a really nice collection of skin and body light therapy services that keep me coming back for more ....one of the best salons in the area for sure. read more

This is the best tanning place I've ever been. It's so clean, has awesome amenities (towels, free eye protection - goggles and winkies - showers, bathrooms, changing rooms - they even offer free wet wipes, face wash , deodorant, hairspray, etc for before and after your session). Coffee bar. Free water. Candy bowls everywhere. The staff is so nice. And efficient. You walk in and they know your name and know what you want. I used to get the KBL beds at my previous tanning salon, so I knew I needed to get them again. They have complimentary drinks and the facility is super clean. I really don't ever write reviews but this place is so top I had to. It was my first time ever using a tanning bed and I was a bit nervous, but the owner made me feel so comfortable and he walked me through call of their options and the science behind each bed and the way that they work. They were beyond friendly and hospitable, immediately made me feel at home. It's rare to walk into a business and be treated with this level of kindness and attentiveness. I worked in the service industry for 5 years so I'm very familiar with customer service and they have it down here. Also the beds really are amazing and luxurious feeling. Very clean and the girl working the counter was friendly. However, there is some misinformation out there! I was told that UVA is harmless and that UVB is what causes skin damage. However research shows that UVA is harmful as well, and maybe even more so! It goes deep beyond the epidermis and causes genetic changes to your DNA. I don't think the girl purposely misled me...probably just sharing what she was trained to say by the company. I was also told there would be no burning. Well...3 days later and my skin is still red, itchy, and BLOTCHY! Unfortunately I signed up for 3 or 4 sessions. I would try the other place on yelp known for their great sunless tan. If you're considering the infared treatment: I bought a Groupon with 3 sessions and I am pretty happy with my experience. I work out regularly (about 3-4 times a week) and wanted something to help boost my workouts. Normally they suggest 6 sessions but not knowing whether I would like it, did 3. I definitely did notice a difference in my body and I think it's worth a shot if you're looking for alternatives but ALSO work out and eat right. I don't think it will help much if you don't already lead a heatlhy lifestyle. Slimwrap tips: - You will sweat A LOT. Be ready for that. - Wear layers to help sweat but also protect yourself from burns. Really important. - They have towels and water, complimentary. - Make sure to schedule your appointments as suggested on the website, easy! - They have TVs with many channels so no need to bring your own DVD unless you want. Comment about customer service: Everyone was very attentive except for the one blonde front desk girl. She never asked me any questions, forgot to check up on me to the point that I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk for assistance, and also left me on the maximum temp for the treatment on my FIRST time when I asked for the minimum. It was pretty uncomfortable and only when a different girl came to stop the treatment at the end of the session did she see that I was on the wrong setting the entire time. read more

I am a pale, pale strawberry blonde and have never done a fake-n- bake. However, when I had to go to a wedding I knew I had to get a spray tan. Where to go??? I did not want to look orange! My research on the interwebs found a lot of not-so-great things about Mystic Tan (orange color, bad smell, uneven). UVA Sun has their own formula called Liquid Sun. Bingo! Worth the extra couple o' bucks. It smelled great, and I looked like I had spent a few days in the sun. I could spend all the time I needed in the booth, and they sold exfoliating wipes at the front desk so I could prep beforehand. They weren't far from my home, either, and had appointments available. I purchased a one week package leading up to my wedding and was very happy with everything about this place. Great, helpful staff who are happy to help you and answer any questions you have. Its rare to say, but the week membership was cheaper than I expected which was a nice surprise. Since the membership has expired, I haven't gotten any spam mail or calls trying to sell me more, though I will definitely go back when I need them again. The beds are immaculate and the whole facility is very clean. I definitely took advantage of the little refreshment bar they have, offering free coffee, water, sodas, snacks, etc. A nice touch! This is the most incredible place! My girlfriend and I frequent here and have fallen in love after discovering their skin and fat loss treatments. My girlfriend and I work out regularly but were struggling to get into amazing shape. The combination of the slimstar and contour light body sculpting got us through the final stretch to our goal. I was unsure about it at first, but the results prove that it works. My girlfriend would hate that I am saying this, but it was the contour light body sculpting that helped her loose that last stubborn 15 lbs. Alright, it helped me too! Also she did a lot of the omnilux treatment for her skin and I saw a huge difference in her face. The wrinkles around her eyes are reduced and her skin is smooth and glowing. The staff here are great as well. Very friendly. Lenora is a gem. She is very good about accommodating and making you feel at ease. Plus she knows a ton of detail about how each service works and why. It was refreshing to have someone genuinely interested in helping us find the right services rather than trying to make a quick sale. The only thing we don't understand is why its only called uvaSUN. They have way more to offer than just spray tans/tanning beds. For this reason they get 4.97 out of 5 stars for making us discover the rest. read more

Went last week for the first time since one of my coworkers wanted to go. Don't really go tanning so I'm not too keen on whether this place is pricey or inexpensive. It did irk me a little that there is only one of each machine so if the least expensive one is being used, you either have to wait or you can use something that's more expensive (which was what I did). I have visited UVASun twice in the past month---once for a custom spray tan, and once to use the Pura booth. The custom spray was superb--it looked completely natural and organic. Highly recommended if you want a true natural-looking, long-lasting tan. For the Pura Booth I tried their "Clear" spray---you don't see anything for several hours but then it develops over time, until you reach maximum color after 12 hours or so. I had my Pura done in the afternoon--by that night I saw only a little color but when I woke up the next morning I had a very nice golden tan on my entire body. I'd highly recommend the Pura "Clear" if you just want to spend a few minutes getting sprayed but the Custom Spray is the ultimate if you have time (and it does cost extra). All in all I'd recommend UVASun to anyone, it's great. read more

Ive been to many salons around LA and haven't recieved as good color, customer service, and general knowledge about the tanning beds and also red light services as I have here at UVASUN! I highly recommend coming here if you want the best tan in town. The new KBL bed is a total gem! Great color, bluetooth, and everything else you could possibly need. I also really enjoy their infrared sauna! You have to make an appointment ahead of time but it will leave you feeling brand new! They took the time to evaluate our skin types and our tanning goals then set us up with the perfect beds. The rooms and facilities are very clean and included a great music system for you to choose your tunes. We went on a Sunday morning and it was not busy at all. We walked right in with no problem. I've heard this before and I will repeat it.... yes she is the Queen B and she knows what she is talking about, not only that but she is cool as ever, remembers everyone - first name, last name, how many kids they have, where they work - hahaha... It's not one of your new typical modern tanning salons that make you feel like you are in a large tin can where everything you touch gives you static electricity, and I will say the spray tans here are the best, there are three : The Liquid Sun : The Mystic Tan : The Airbrush Tan. My favorite in particular is the Mystic, but that's because it works for my skin.. for some reason it gives me the best, most even, natural dark tan and lasts for 10 days almost every time... I still have yet to find a better one! The Liquid Sun seems to be the most popular, the owner Gregg himself invented this one and everyone loves it, its the same two position process but has a better more natural color for most skin types. THE AIRBRUSH yes amazing.. UVAsun keeps it very clean and professional, you can strip down into nothing or you can wear a bathing suit, I prefer just undies... The girls will tell you what to do from there, it's a great and easy experience and the color is something you will never forget and easily becomes addicting! Watch out Jimmy COCO you have some competition with Liz Pino over at UVAsun. Yes they have regular beds, they have the classic beds from the 40's that are 100% UVA (the browning Ray) and then 3 other high tech beds... there is a little something for everyone plus you get a complimentary beverage, coke, sprite, water, etc.. or a cocktail, YES a cocktail. A friend recommended this place a while back and I bought a package and loved the beds and the service. When I moved last year, there was another tanning salon literally in my backyard so I bought a package there out of mere convenience. What a mistake that was! It me appreciate UVA Sun, their beds and customer service so much more. I just went today again after not getting a shade darker after multiple visits at the other place and I look like I just came back from St. Tropez. UVA Sun's beds WORK, it's super clean and staff is super sweet. I'm high maintenance and I'll be the first to admit it. I need to clean my own beds, I need extra towels to cover my face and other parts, and if I'm spending time and money doing anything it better lend excellent results. This place delivers. Now I know tanning is not the best thing in the world for you (whether it be the sun or a tanning bed) but they have high intensity beds that keep out most of the harmful rays. So if you have to get your tan on for a special occasion, look no further. Thanks for a great reliable place that I can count on every time for a deep dark tan! And your staff rules too.
