Uxi Duxi is my happy place. I don't get up there often enough, but whenever I do, it's with a headache and an all around cloud of pain, and they take care of me. "I'll give you the maeng da," says the girl at the counter; "it's best for pain." Indeed it is, friend. Thanks for knowing, and for not skimping on the scoopage. Prices aren't bad at all, only $6 for a drink containing a little over 5 gm. (You can also buy an extra boost.) The tea itself is palatable. I like the cold grapefruit version. Can't say it's delicious (it's kratom after all), but they do a fair job of mellowing the natural swamp sludge flavor. That's the only one I've cared to try so can't speak for the kava or CBD stuff. They do sell some tasty looking edibles which I might someday treat myself to. I really enjoy the vibe of the place. It's beautifully and colorfully decorated, reminiscent of a hookah lounge. It's also always occupied by the same group of characters which kind of cracks me up. I'm still looking forward to dropping in on a night when there's bellydancing. read more

This is misleading and not a tea room. I walk in and the entire place smells like cigarette smoke. When I walk through the front room to order, there's a guy hanging at the back door smoking, filling the entire place. Disgusting and ridiculous. In addition, they literally have 5 cold teas and some weird herbal teas such as kratom (which can cause liver failure in high doses--yes I'm an M.D. and I'm shocked to see this is able to be sold legally). The option for hot tea is something "not really done" and would take "15 minutes" to make. On top of that, when I tried to order the cold chai tea option, it could only get made with coconut milk or half and half. What? No milk, no almond milk, I like my traditional English tea with a splash of milk. Such a frustrating experience. The place does deserve 1 star due to multiple games and tables/seating that they have. But this place was not 4.5 stars and I was heavily disappointed and left with a cigarette-smoke-filled headache. read more

We walked into this place with only a vague idea of what kratom is and having never heard of kava or had access to CBD oil. The woman behind the counter was patient and extremely knowledgeable, pointing us to a book with several pages of explanations for different items available, including strains of kratom and the variety of edibles they offer. When we approached the counter she answered additional questions and educated us without talking down to us, helped us to choose the right items for ourselves: hubby got an iced kratom special and I ordered a chai kava drink from the permanent menu. My brother-in-law got another of the specials, a kratom pear and lavender tea. I tasted all three and could have drunk any one. It's pretty small inside but it has a good feel and vibrant colors. Uxi Duxi is definitely a place you could hang out and enjoy your beverage, so if it's not crowded and you aren't in a rush you should take a load off and relax with your drink! read more

I love this place! I have only been twice but had good experiences both times. This is a fun spot to meet with someone. The staff is very friendly and helped me with all my questions. I had the kava chai which was good and the kava dab. Unfortunately I left with a bad burn because I didn't listen when they lady told me it was very hot.. I'll be sticking to my chai next time! So first off whoever runs this place should really be giving praise to I believe his name was Dom. They were super helpful. I had no idea you could do Kava in dap form. I asked about a million questions and Dom was super knowledgeable. I got the grapefruit kratom tea and my partner got the orange. I had never had kratom before and I must say it was a super pleasant experience. It also helps that the atmosphere was spot on. We sat on the cushions on the floor because we didn't find the other seating that comfortable but the cushions were great. Other than that the music was lovely and the incense burning smelled so good. The barista that day was very knowledgeable about their various offerings, listened to him explain in depth to some tourists about the cafe's various offerings. I don't drink kratom but my friend does and goes here often, says it's great stuff. I had a nitro chilled coffee which is very strong but smooth, with some simple syrup and almond milk. They don't have any dairy products for creamers, only soy, almond or coconut. It's attached to a vape shop/bar and up the block is Herb Import. read more

Incredibly relaxing atmosphere. Unique selection of kava and kratom teas. I loved the iced ritual it was great. There is a space for live music with really interesting antique folding chairs. The staff is always rude when I go in. The blonde blows my questions off rudely, is cold, and then doesn't answer my questions. I just get scoffed at for not knowing all the items on the menu. It's also expensive and everything I've ever bought has been bad. I kept trying but I give up. Make sure to have your i.d. because if you're in your late twenties and look at her the wrong way you're not welcome to buy a cup of coffee. You have to be at least 18 to be in there. She also mocked me. Terrible experience with the staff. I also have been told by friends there stomach's have hurt after having their teas. Uxi Duxi is superrrrrr chill. Good vibes and positive energy. Similar to a coffee shop with a performance space, they offer Nitro Coffee, Kava drinks, Kratom, teas, and juices. They also have a little spiritual gift shop as well. One thing I like about Uxi is that they also have Kava and CBD dabs. They have fancy devices you can use and smoking it inside does feel a bit odd but the smoke is more like that of a vape or e-cig. It is very relaxing and makes your lips feel a little tingly. Every employee that I have come in contact with is very nice so don't be afraid to ask for help. If you're not into drinking kava and kratom, there are also edibles available made with the substances that look yummy. Kratom is supposed to make you feel happy and energetic but the woman working told me that it could make you nauseous, so I have not gotten around to trying it yet. The Beet Me juice cocktail with beet and lime juice, cane sugar and soda water is delicious! Each sip starts out limey and finishes beety. So good! read more

Things are reasonably priced and they have the best specials! I recently tried their CBD coconut cream pop and it was SO delicious. By far my favorite place to get coffee and juices. I couldn't believe how I was just treated! The woman would not allow me to talk to my mom in Nicaragua when I was at the register. I had just advertised the place to her and advertise the place on Facebook and she had no problem with that. I explained to her that this was a unique situation because it was a long distance call and my mom isn't a communist country where they only have water turned on every other day. she didn't care and kept insisting that I get off my phone and that they would not serve me until I got off the phone. I had a panic attack right there and they didn't care! I am still in my car crying and freaked out that this happened. I finally hung up with my mom but my panic attack. it's too bad so I stepped outside. by the time I got back in there I decided I didn't want their service. this was supposed to be a safe haven, a safe place for me to apply to a masters in engineering. I feel like this place is it safe place and its atmosphere but not with the people. she could have just handed me the items that were already on the table and swiped my card, especially when she saw how upset I was, but her rules that aren't even hanging up anywhere in the store came first, and not customer service. read more
