With all of the small stores in Piermont closing in the past 2 decades I was afraid that this store would soon be shuttered. However, during my most recent visit, I had a very disappointing experience with a cashier named Isabelle (shorter build, long hair). Her behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and inappropriate for a customer-facing role. She spoke to older and disabled customers in a rude and dismissive tone, and the way she addressed me personally felt derogatory, hostile, and discriminatory. I left the store feeling shaken and frankly shocked at how badly I was treated. Every customer deserves to be spoken to with basic courtesy, regardless of age, ability, or background. This kind of interaction is not acceptable from someone representing the store. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as employees like Isabelle undermine the otherwise positive experience that ShopRite Northvale provides. I truly enjoy shopping here, but behavior like this should not be allowed to continue.
